Before the Covid Pandemic started I dropped off my Ford Explorer to have the transmission replaced. They did a diagnostic and found it needed to be replaced. I chose to purchase a rebuilt transmission. The problem was I was not able to pay the 3000 dollars up front and dont have a way to do credit. I asked if I could keep the SUV there and make payments and when I was finished with the payments they would fix the SUV. They said Yes. I had another car so I was able to start looking for a better job since my job was being fazed out because of covid. To make a long story short Eagle Transmission lost two of my payments. (I dont know why these two payments werent posted in their computer.) I found my receipts and proved what I had paid. After paying the whole 3000 dollars they said they would start doing the work. I was hoping the SUV would be ready as I paid the last payment. They told me it would be two weeks after I paid the last payment. It wasnt ready for 6 months. Their excuse was Covid. Because of Covid we dont have enough mechanics. Soon I receive a call, it was Eagle Transmission saying my SUV was ready to be picked up. BUT they tell me someone stole the muffler and catalytic converter. And If I pay 500 dollars they would pay the balance to replace it. I paid because I felt I didnt have a leg to stand on. I felt they were holding me hostage. When I went to retrieve the vehicle I see one windows down in the back passenger side. It looked like they taped some plastic over the opening because they said they couldnt put the window up. But the plastic was missing and it looked like for quite some time. Because there was a lot of water damage on the inside of the car. Ive never had such an experience with a auto mechanic in my life. Aaron Laff had a bad attitude and Shawn McCaffrey and David Block were not there to give good customer service. Dont go here. This place is the worst place to get a transmission.

I took my car to Eagle to get what I thought was my transmission problem. Aaron (sp) helped me when I walked in. He was cordial and said I would need to leave it. As it turned out it wasn’t my transmission but the throttle body. I was to get my car back Thursday. My Mom passed away Wednesday. I called and told him I needed my car ASAP to get to my Mom. He went out of his way to get my car ready Wednesday. I can never thank him enough. He is a person with character and didn’t over charge me!! Thank you!

I feared the worst on my 7 year old acadia. Even had it towed after finding lots of fluid on the driveway after hauling a heavy load of tile. They checked it out, not a big issue, fair price and back on the road!

100 percent satisfied! Great customer service. They explained the repairs we needed in perfect detail. They replaced all the clutch plates, torque converter, valve body. Added a trans cooler system and replaced both front axles. These mechanics really do treat your car like it’s their own car. They take the time do the best work possible. They really care about the work they do and it shows. Transmission work can be costly but it’s with it. I’m very happy we now have a smooth running 1999 CRV thanks to Aaron and the awesome mechanic at Eagle Transmission on Coit in Plano TX.

It has been two weeks since they fixed our transmission and all is well. I was referred by a shop that used them for their work as they didnt do the hard work... I confer with them as Eagle in West Plano did a professional job, and a honest job, too.

After my first repair job, I will forever be a loyal customer to Coit Rd. location. The owner, Shawn, and all of the employees (shout out to Leonard!) communicated well with me throughout the process. They went the extra step that shows they really care about fixing your car.I came there after going to a nearby chain shop that estimated $600 higher, not including the extra work that Eagle Transmission did. So, they are a great place to go if you want to save money on repairs.They called me before adding on any repairs that needed to be done (replaced clutch and fixed air conditioning). I was told a rounded price for the clutch, and they stayed below the estimated maximum. Also, they did not assume I would need a new flywheel ( unlike the other shop did) just because of my cars mileage (220k), which tells me they are an honest company. Instead, they checked and were able to resurface it.After I left the shop, my car made a funny noise. Shawn personally addressed the problem, and for that, I am so grateful.All in all, this is an honest repair shop that gives quality work for a fair price. My Subie is good as new!

As a female who knows nothing about cars I always have that worry when car issues (lights) pop up and a mechanic is in need. I don’t want to be taken advantage of and pay for things that aren’t really the issue. I took my 2011 Nissan Rouge to Eagle Transmission due to my transmission light coming on. Shawn and Arron were very professional, broke everything down to me so I could understand, had great communication on when my car would be ready, and advised me what would eventually need to be fixed. I dropped off the car early morning, it was finished within a couple of hours. They texted me and gave me a call to let me know that everything was fine. Great staff!

I called in on a Tuesday and had my F150 back by Friday. I had a complete transmission rebuild as well as a rear differential check and fluid change. The cost was fair for the work and quality of the work. Its rare that I can find a shop I am actually comfortable recommending, but the Manager, Aaron, was excellent throughout the entire process. He knows his stuff, and was professional throughout the process.The transmission is still going strong, with a solid warranty as well.

My experience with Eagle Transmission on Coit in Plano was ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!! Aaron saved me thousands of dollars by ACCURATELY diagnosing the problem with my Ford truck that even a ford dealership could not pinpoint! I paid the dealership $135 for two wrong diagnosis of the problem. I called Eagle and Aaron guessed at the diagnosis within 2 minutes of conversation about the vibration the truck was making. He even said bring it by AT NO COST and he would run diagnostics on it to confirm. Instead of spending the 3k to 6k the dealership wanted me to on what they thought was a transmission problem I walked out of Eagle Transmission with a simple tune-up and transmission fluid change for under $870 and the problem was fixed!

I took my classic 1957 Thunderbird to Eagle to have the clutch replaced. I took a bit of a chance considering the age or this car and that I didn’t know anything about Eagle, other than their positive reviews.Aaron was more than helpful and very patient when we ran into a parts issue (I didn’t bring in the right parts) that took a couple days to sort out. He and Alberto helped me worked through it and you can now count me as one of Eagles newest and biggest fans.

This is my second time using Eagle in two decades. Their transmission rebuilds last longer than the cars they’re attached to!! The only place I will use for transmission repairs!

Aaron always kept me informed, he has been rebuilding transmissions for me for 15 years. Car was ready when promised.

I would highly recommend reviewing your warranty info before walking out of their door. Their receipt states 12/12, however when I spent 5k for a complete rebuild they advised the warranty would be 36/36 that was acceptable. The gentleman I checked out with at that time told me the warranty was automatic but I still asked him to indicate it on my receipt. He did. 3/23/2020 I take vehicle to be looked at, reverse sticks sometimes. They advised they need to go in and all give me the price advise that Im past the 12/12 warranty. I mention I have a different warranty gentleman says no it states in our computer 12/12. I wasnt going to argue, for me there was no point because Im over the 36k anyway. Im unsure if they have new people or what but if they cant make proper computer notes for a warranty that made me nervous for them to do more work. Just be sure you have proper documents of the warranty they give you.

Took my truck in for transmission oil and filter change. Price was competitive and quite a bit cheaper than the dealer. Before the oil was even drained, Frank showed me a leak developing where the cooler lines entered the radiator. We discussed options, and ended up replacing the radiator as well. The job was done quickly and professionally. I Highly recommend the Eagle Transmission location in Plano on Coit.

I recently had a transmission replaced at Eagle for my 2014 Nissan Rogue. I spoke with Frank from the moment they towed my car in to the moment I picked up my car. Frank was very helpful in helping me, when the issue of a Nissan rebuilt transmissions was out of my price range. Frank called around and worked his magic and was able to find me a used transmission with a warranty that I could afford. I am very grateful for this hard working manager and would highly recommend this place to anyone needing work done under the hood!

Had transmission issues on a Sunday and had my car towed over to this shop. They had it diagnosed and rebuilt my transmission and had it ready to go on Wednesday. Fast turnaround and really great group of guys working there. Whole process went smooth and car runs great...my wallet is empty now but thats not their fault. LOL

I called Frank at Eagle Transmission West Plano around 5:30 pm on Monday in a panic because I was told by another mechanic that my cars transmission needs to be completely replaced and the work will cost around $6,000. Frank told me he would be happy to check out the car and said he would wait for me at the shop, although the shop was approaching closing time. Frank called me the next day and told me about a potential fix on the bulletin board issued by BMW. He took time to explain to me the resolution, and I gave him the go-ahead to try the fix. Next day, my car was fixed! Eagle Transmission has discovered a way to fix my transmission without replacing the whole transmission. The cost of my repair was a fraction of what would have cost to replace the transmission. Frank was very professional, and I feel he went out of his way to research the best resolution available. These really seem to be the Good Guys After two shops told me I needed a new transmission that I could not afford, Eagle did a diagnosis and found an electrical problem that they fixed for under $100.00, changed my transmissions fluid and filter, and my Jeep now runs fine! Not helpful at all. The store owner had an attitude the entire time. If you had a question or concern his response would be bland and short as if he was trying to hurry up and get you out the door. You guys need to remember you have a job because of your clients.

Followed through with what he had been explaining to the Nth degree. He even went to the shop when it was closed to meet us so we could pick up our car‼️And when he realized the warranty was not included in the invoice, WROTE IT IN so we had the verification needed. Went to 3 local transmission shops in Plano and was told I needed a rebuild for my BUICK. Went to Eagle Transmission on Coit rd. In Plano and it was a simple fix and just under $100.00. Frank was honest and helpful! Great experience!

If I could give zero stars I would! I took my car in for a transmission flush & was told they would run a diagnostics to see what was wrong &/or needed. I was told I needed a tune up & that would fix my issue. I was charged almost $700 (which is way over priced for my vehicle) and it didn’t fix anything. Frank is very rude & lacks empathy! Every time I was told to bring my car back so they could look at it there was some type of excuse as to why they couldn’t get to it or fix it. I feel like once they got my money I was dismissed. I asked several times for a detailed invoice that included a breakdown of labor costs, taxes, etc... & still haven’t received it. I sent a letter to “corporate” and never heard back. I wasted a lot of time & money that I can’t get back. Will not be returning or referring anyone there! Customers are the reason you have a job...remember that!

Frank and The guy they call Human was great. I thought I needed my transmission repaired or replaced and all I needed was a fluid change. They helped me get a tune up and replaced my Rotors and Pads. Great company and honest people.

The guys at Eagle did a great job diagnosing the problems with my AC and got it fixed for me as quickly as they could. They were very straight with me and didnt overcharge me or try to sell me a bunch of stuff I didnt need or want. I drop my car off back in October to get my transmission fixed. Shortly after I dropped it off I lost my job and hit a rough spot. Eagle Transmission noy only was patient with me on coming to pick it up after it was fixed. They dod an excellent job on the repairs and worked with me on the storage fees. I have been to Eahle transmissions in the past and it was such a hassle I kept putting off taking my car back it because it took 7 days to get back for anything. However I had to take it in finally and the sevice has COMPLETELY CHANGED. I was taken care of professionally and told what was needed before I left it. Then I got my car back in one day! They EXCEEDED my expectations and I am extremely happy with the results and service! I highly recommend them!

Took my BMW in for service and was charged as much to replace a couple of sensors in the transmission as a complete rebuilt trans cost in my Chevy. Also now there is a puddle of trans fluid on the floor under the car which I never had a leak before. Fix one thing for over $1,400 and cause leaks, nice work.

I would recommend this place if someone is looking for a solid mechanic shop.I took in my Ram 2500 yesterday and they seemed to have it inspected in a timely manner. I figured it would take longer with how busy these places must be daily.....I had an issue with front wheel area, Frank told me some possible solutions and what those solutions would cost. We worked through it and I made a decision....... I would say to anyone interested.... it really pays off to know a little bit about your vehicle to have an intelligent conversation with the mechanic ya know? We have a very good resource called the internet. If you dont really know much, probably a good idea to act polite and kind to your service tech. One quote I heard the other day that resonates lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part. Good spot to take your vehicle!

Positive experience. They got me in at the end of the day for a transmission fluid change. I took advantage of a special they had. He was passionate about his craft and explained how different parts of the vehicle operate.

This shop has some really good techs. Like any shop you can find flaws, but when it comes down to it This Shop fixed a problem with my car that two other shops missed .They gave me back a car that was totally fixed!!! they took care of all the problems for a fair price and did it in an acceptable amount of time, so I give them this rating telling you if you want to fix your car take it here if you want to have some one fix part of the problem but still arent satisfied then take it somewere else this is a good shop this is a shop that cares about putting a car out of the shop that wont break and is in good shape they care about the class of work they do and they do first class work

I would have not even given a star. But I had to. Mr Black is so deceiving and grouchy. He lied and told me a rebuilt transmission would be cheaper than going back to the dealership. LIE. $600 more than what the dealership quoted. It was too late once I got it towed to them. Now $3600.00 and 3 months later I am back with my 2013 sentra not driving..... the gears are not working... very inconvenient. Do NOT COME to this establishment!!!

JD is probably one of the best in the area. We have had a BMW and a 70 Chevelle done and both are doing great! Frank was a big help too.

I took my car there to have an oil leak fixed. Their technicians diagnosed the leak and fixed the leak promptly and for the price quoted. They also checked the entire engine and transmission for additional leaks and issues, and everything came back with no additional issues. It is refreshing to know that they are willing to go above and beyond what I requested to make sure that my vehicle is functioning as it should.I want to speak directly about the owner of this shop, Shawn. I have known Shawn for over 15 years. There have been a couple of posts on here about Shawn being a racist and other posts attempting to harm his character and his business. These accusations are not accurate and are nothing more than an attempt to damage him and his business. Google reviews are very helpful when they are honest....you can read the posts and know exactly which ones are real, and which ones are fake.I wouldnt hesitate to send all my family and friends to Shawns shop for auto service.

Very simple - those guys are very honest and do business the old fashion way, I came to check a problem in my SUV after my mechanic suggested a transmission problem, Eagle transmission check every possible thing and It wasnt a transmission problem but the Coils, after asking what would be the cost they actually suggested that I should have that taking care of by my mechanic because it wouldnt be fair to the mechanic- HONESTY. I recommend dearly that shop - ask for Shawn he is very knowledgeable and very pleasant person to deal with

About a month ago, my transmission starting slipping and I found a large piece of metal in the pan. Turns out it was the 2nd gear band adjuster saddle. The band was completely worn out. These guys rebuilt it for me for a reasonable price. Good customer relations. Alan was very helpful. They were very professional. Got the work done quickly. Dropped my truck off on Wednesday and picked it up on Friday. Very pleased with service. Highly recommend Eagle Transmission.

I brought my car here when I couldnt diagnose the problem. Eagle Transmissions staff was really nice, and offered me a free diagnostic to figure it out. I was willing to pay to replace random things that I thought were wrong, but they didnt want to start replacing random things, unless they could verify that the part was indeed broken. They were honest and upfront about that, and didnt charge me a dime for days of diagnostics. Very few car repair shops are as honest as Eagle Transmission, and I will definitely bring my car back here in the future!

I have taken my vehicle here twice in the past six months with two separate issues and they are awesome! I couldn’t be happier with the service or work that was done. The owner (Shawn) was a pleasure to deal with and did everything he said he would do. He even got my vehicle back to me ahead of schedule on both occasions.

Great service and Frank is always friendly. Theyre not the cheapest or priciest but their quality and warranty on their work is top notch.
