This is a one of the bigger seize Uhaul center for all uhaul options. They offer over night drop off. They have 24x7 climate control storage room available for rent in block of one month. There are few customer parking available where you can part your care and even sometime overnight. Staff are helpfully and friendly.

Do not book online for trailer hitch installation. I booked 2 weeks in advance including payment. Received a confirmation email and no additional communication from the store. When I arrived they informed me that their system was not correctly setup and they would not be able to do the install. Now they were friendly enough in informing me of their issues, but I now need to start all over. Also, instead of just canceling my order/payment they just left it hanging out there so I had to call back in again in order to get my money back. I think I would just go somewhere else if this is something you need.

We rented a truck while the tank was not full.After 3 hours we returned the truck with about 23 milage.They charged us $38 dollars on the final receipt.We were lucky that we a had picture before pick up and after dropping off to claim it but finally they charged me $14 for the fuel of 23 mile.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER AS THEIR POLICY IS TO RIP OFF CUSTOMER.THEY CHARGE YOU EXTRA AND IF DO NOT HAVE THE PROOF, YOU NEED TO GO BACK AND FORTH WITH TONS OF EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS.

I payed for the insurance in the parking lot while my trailer I rented was being hooked up. I asked the employee what all it covers and what it doesn’t. I was informed that the insurance would cover all my belongings if there was an accident, blow out, hitting a curb or a speed bump that damaged my property. They then proceeded to tell me that they were just trained on it a week ago and reassured me that even if I hit a curb it would cover damages that was the only reason why I payed for it. I drive trailers weekly and I know these Texas roads can be unforgiving.I loaded up all of my stuff strapped it in and wrapped it and hit the road.With my luck I just so happened to go over the two man hole covers in the middle of the road off Dallas North Tollway by the shops of legacy. Not thinking anything of it, I got to the house and started to unload noticing a chip taken off of my $1,400 dresser. Don’t worry I thought, I have the insurance that I was assured would cover my belongings if anything happened.I made sure to take photos because I knew they would ask for them and returned the trailer. The people that assured me about the insurance checked the equipment back in as well. They still said it would be covered and even started the claim process, come to find out once the insurance called me they said they wouldn’t cover the damages due to their policy that isn’t given to their customers when purchased. The policy is also not online either which is sketchy and not readily available to their customers.“It is your word Vs. our employee, he has been with the company for over a year and I asked him all the right questions.” You don’t think an employee would lie so they don’t get in trouble??? Your calling me a liar straight to my face by saying it’s our employees word over yours. Seriously what is wrong with y’all, your acting like your in high school.I also see your management doesn’t ever reply to reviews. This is why y’all 3 stars, your location has terrible customer service and truly needs to be looked at by Uhaul corporate.

Came here plenty of times to fill up my propane tanks, this time the employees told me the button to notify them doesn’t work. Yet all the other times it has. Either put up a sign or take the button down.

Great place, Great people, Great prices. Lol but seriously for a quick move it was a great place to go. When I moved from Arkansas the Uhaul over there wasnt that great, they were late to open and not accommodating. I was pleasantly surprised by the service and how smoothly the pickup and dropoff here went.

Was really cool to be able to rent the plastic moving boxes; I definitely prefer them over cardboard and tape. Unfortunately the store didnt have the original amount of boxes I reserved, but they were able to edit my price when I picked up and attempted to refund me for those. For some reason the price jumped from $1.50 per box to $2.50 per box when we came to return them, so it was annoying to owe more after wed already paid the agreed upon price (the previous refund never happened but it was put toward the new amount we owed). Prices and the amount available to rent should definitely be advertised more accurately in the future, but overall the associates seemed nice and $2.50 per box is still pretty cheap I guess.

We rented a truck to move my grandmother in with us as she needs more help these days. I booked the truck online and was quoted $54 (including the safemove insurance) plus 74 cents per mile. At time of pick up, our estimated charges jumped to $93, including 99 cents per mile. Management is saying this is the weekend rate, and was misquoted since I booked on a week day even though my dates were clear at booking. The fuel was at 1/4 tank at pick up. We stopped at Quiktrip on the way back and filled to 1/4 tank and have the receipt. Today we received our receipt from UHAUL of $159 and were charged $41.70 in fuel charges even though we returned at same level. After calling to get corrected, we were told that is in the contract, and it is our responsibility to mark the line below the 1/4 tank at pickup. We will never use UHAUL again for moving services. Beware of this location and be sure to overfill the fuel and take pictures of everything!! I have never had these issues and have moved multiple times in the past 5 years. They got an extra $50 for nothing out of my 87 year old grandmother on this one. ***Edit- I was able to get the fuel charges refunded after calling corporate customer service. They agreed it was barely off from pickup and were super understanding.***

Awesome customer service I know some people feel like it takes a while but thats because most of the time when we need a trailer or a truck were in a situation where were about to have to be stressed. These guys here and the call Center, are great people to deal with even if youre stressed out from having to move or in my case a heavy duty job and a move in the same week.Kudos to U-Haul more people need to learn this level of customer service on both sides of the counter.

Incredibly inept and unprofessional. It was like dealing with teenagers who dont know how to compose themselves, particularly in the face of customers who were already irritated due to their inability to complete what should have been a simple transaction. Theres a time and place for jokes and cutting up: learn to read the tone of the situation and maintain some professionalism.

These guys are awesome. Every time I am in need of a large double wide trailer for business they always have one available. Check in is very quick. Their team understands the importance of proper hitch to your vehicle before leaving the facility. I have never had an issue with under-inflated tires or bad trailers since using this location. They make the trailer duty very easy...and thats hard to do.

The staff is very rude! I have been calling all week just to rent a 10 and no one was answering the lines. At one point, a man did answer and he told me to hold on before I could even say anything. He came off rude too. I patiently waited, and he hung up on me. When I called back, I was put on hold again for hours. This has been going on for a whole week now! I am not satisfied with their services.

Mr. Vernon Sutherland thinks he can give people trucks with the check engine light on. Mr. Miguel Romero thinks he can promise things that will never materialize on behalf of his boss. I am owed $40 by these crooks that said they were gonna call me to make things right, but it is safe to assume they wont. Just remember that when a contract is not fulfilled by the merchant, the credit card company will always side with the customer. Enjoy your 1 star!

Fast and friendly service. They were able to help on a last minute rental need. The vehicle we rented was nearly brand new and very nice on the inside. Was able to quickly pick up the vehicle, get the job done and return the vehicle. Minimal time wasted waiting around for paperwork. Will do business with again.

So my experience with U-Haul has so far been a love hate relationship. I made my reservation for a one way, out of state truck and auto transport more than a month in advance. I get a call from the first location I made a reservation at confirming my reservation for a 15 truck and auto transport, one week in advance, I told them yes I still need it and everything is great. Come the next week, the week of my move, I get a call from a location on the other side of Dallas (ferguson road location) saying they wanted to confirm my reservation for a 10 truck and auto transport. I didnt understand what was going on. I told the guy on the phone that I never wanted a 10 truck and asked him what my reservation said, to which he replied it was a 10 truck reservation without an auto transport. This was not going to work. I told him it needed to change, he said he would take care of it and give me a call back. I waited till the next day, he never called back. After calling and trying to sort things out and get my original 15 truck back (I had three confirmation emails, confirming it was in fact a 15 truck and auto transport I reserved) all I got was arguing and static from these guys. After about 15 minutes of arguing the best I could get out of them was a 15 truck and auto transport in Garland on Shiloh road, even farther from my house. I was not very happy. I gave a call to the U-Haul on North Dallas pkwy and Ann was able to help me out no problem! She gave me 17 truck (because there were no 15 trucks left) at the price of a 10 truck! As I said my overall experience with U-Haul was crap until I called this location and got Anns help, these guys are FIVE STAR customer service experts!

The folks here were friendly and mostly helpful. For my long distance one-way trip, they werent extremely suggestive, so Im glad I did my own homework, but overall they got me on my way with what I needed.They did switch trucks after Id mentioned a U-Haul Id rented in San Diego a decade back lost its brakes going down a hill... but that could have been coincidence. They also asked if I had any wood to help get my car on the auto transport... um, no (they found some). But overall they were very nice and accommodating, and I had a very good long trip with no issues.Oh, one suggestion... if they could provide a note on how the high beams work would be cool. I got high-beamed quite a few times, and although I could turn on the ultra-high beams, I had no idea how to turn off the normal high beam (I thought the normal lights might have just been too high and appeared to be high beams). Other than that, the truck and auto transport became the least of my worries.Also, one of the tire straps came off about halfway through the trip, but I got in on better than it was... Checking them at every stop is a really good tip. :)Edit: My trip was in October 2015. I reserved online a month in advance, called and downgraded from 17 to 15 a week later, then showed up a week in advance to get car inspected for its auto transport viability. The morning I picked up my 15 and auto transport, their systems were down. No worries! Fortunately I had already confirmed and updated everything on their system the week prior during the inspection. So they were able to get me on my way even with their computers being down. It was a very good start to a very long solo trip.

Truck broke down. We called for service and were told it would take 20-40 minutes. Its been 2 and a half hours and 3 phone calls and were told it would only be 10 more minutes. This is unacceptable.

I bought & had a hitch installed here & have rented trailers as well. The service is friendly & I havent had any problems with the equipment. The only thing Id recommend is to find a way to leave your vehicle if they do a reciever installation because it can take a little time. Itll be done on time but probably not early so bring a bicycle or a friend with a car.

I got my trailer hitch installed here in June 2012. First of all, even if you make an appointment if they think its going to take long they take care of other walk-in customers. I had to wait 30 minutes longer due to that.Second, they really have no idea what they are doing unless your car is one of the most general cars out there. I have Subaru Forester. They said they had to install a hitch for my car one time and it was very difficult that it ended up taking at least an hour longer because they had to drill a hole. Really? Subaru would make a SUV not expecting their customers to get their trailer hitch installed so they dont make a quick connect? hmm...A month later I rented a trailer from a different city of TX and the tail lights werent working. I ended up wasting 4 1/2 hours driving from one U-Haul to the other in town trying to figure out what the problem was. I even took a day off from work for this for no reason. The U-Hauls there were superb and extremely helpful. They felt bad I had to go through what I didnt have to go through at all so three guys began to work on my car right away. They found out these were the following problems.1. The power wire from the battery to the black box was run in-between heat shields, the muffler, and pipes that would have eventually melted.2. They shouldnt have gone through the tail light. In other words they didnt need to drill a hole in my car. My car already had a quick connect ready inside the car only if they looked at the computer manual, which is what Jose did.The U-Haul at this location was extremely helpful. They felt bad I had to go through what I didnt have to go through at all. Three guys worked on my car replacing the box and the wires and fixed everything and got it to work.All the Plano location had to do was to pick up the manual or call around to find out how to install a hitch properly if they hadnt done one for a particular model. All the trouble I went through plus the mean rude front desk lady really made my experience with U-Haul the worst service experience ever. Yes, it was a lady who picked up the phone when I called to see if the mechanic who installed had any suggestions as to what to check over the phone. She said I had to come in and when I told her I was 2 hours away and that it would take just a few minutes to ask some questions she told me there was no way she could transfer the call to them because they were too busy and that it was just impossible. Hello, I was a customer too. I had mine installed a month ago for $350 and it was still under warranty plus it wasnt her decision to make whether they had a few minutes for me or not.

Asked to drop the uhaul off 3 hours late, nothing was put in the notes! Have an extra charge for a whole day. Who ever I spoke to was lazy and did not want to do there job. Customer service says theres not record of my call or that I would be turning in the retail late. I spoke to the same person 2 days in a row. Will never rent from this uhaul again they penny punch. Please do your job.....! Will be disputing the charges.

They will not prorate a refund if you turn in your storage early. I turned in my storage 2 weeks before the end of my month and waited for the refund to hit my account. After waiting almost two weeks and still no deposit I called and was told they do not prorate. So make sure you use what you pay for. Sad to know companies are stealing from you in a time like our economy.

The owner of the facility waited on my and you could tell he was not happy to be there. I returned the trailer 10 minutes late the next day and they charged me for another day. Make sure you return exactly on time or they will charge you for another day.

I have used this Uhaul for the last 7 years! I have moved several times and needed their service over those times including truck rentals and storage. I have recommended this paticular location to several friends because of the customer service, convinience, and pricing. However-this last experience has left me shaking my head!!! They charged us almost $400 for two units for 2 weeks worth of use! In the past-they have prorated the units for us. This time, they charged us even though we were going to be out in a week. Thats okay, I will keep one thing in each unit for the entirety of the month then. I refuse to turn over the unit so they can charge someone else and get double paid for it. Or the so called free month-hum, wonder how they do that-perhaps they use units that were paid for and ony used for one week? I asked for Stacey-the Manager-to call me. Did I hear from him? NO!! I wont be going here any more! Nor will i recommend them! Customer service is the number one reason I go to a place of business! There are way too any other places to chose from. Like the one on Los Rios! Much better.

At 9 am I booked an appointment to have wiring installed for my trailer hitch. I showed up at the appointed time. They had neither the part nor a qualified technician to install it. The store manager called another U-Haul location and then sent me over there. That location did not have the part.Very poorly managed business at this Plano tollway location.

I rented a truck from uhaul and returned it at the fuel level I recieved it at AS INSTRUCTED at 3/4 of a tank I then recieve a charge for $46.00 for fuel because the tank wasnt full.....REALLY?! Here are the reasons that I am extremely dissatisfied with UHAUL and this particular location:1) Said fuel level was mentioned at time of pick up and noted on the walk around paper2) Upon returning the vehicle the employees didnt say a word to us other than uhh did you put fuel in it...and thanks3) The Uhaul employee DID NOT inspect the vehicle or even have the courtesy to mention the fuel if it were such an issue.4) Everytime I call this location to resolve this complaint I am informed that they dont deal with customer service complaints and I get transfered to a customer service line that has the same rep answering the phone after waiting on hold that apparently has a malfuncioning headset and cannot hear anyone and says hello repeatedly before hanging up on the caller.....I went through this 3 times.If the fuel was inaccurate then the employee at UHAUL could have double checked it and mentioned it to the customer before adding the charge.....if that were the case I should be able to charge YOUR COMPANY for not having the correct fuel level documented and failing to correct the situation AFTER THE CUSTOMER HAD TO OBSERVE AND POINT IT OUT.Long story short.....I will rent a mule before I EVER give UHAUL a dime of my money again.
