They will not pick up the phone. I’ve been trying to get my prescription transferred somewhere else and other pharmacies tell me it may be a whole business day before they will pick up the phone. This is ridiculous.
I’ve been frustrated with Walgreens’ pharmacy for a couple of months, but today’s screw-up cost them my business. My brother-in-law died of COVID Tuesday morning, and we had to go out of town to be with the family. After a couple of days, one of my prescriptions, which was a mild anti-depressant, ran out. When we tried to get it refilled at a local pharmacy, insurance wouldn’t pay for it. Why? Because the Prattville Walgreens said it was refilled and picked up about a week ago, which isn’t true. Consequently, I wasn’t eligible to get it refilled for another week.Mess-ups happen, but a mess-up that deprives a person of an anti-depressant while mourning the death of a family member is a pretty big mess-up. If this were the only instance, that would be one thing. But the fact is their pharmacy lines have been terrible for about two months, usually ranging from 30-60 minutes. I don’t know why the pharmacy is run with such difficulty, but it’s enough for me. I’m gonna try Adams Drug.I couldn’t bring myself to leave only one star because the pharmacy employees are nice and the rest of the store is fine. But after all this, I can’t bring myself to use the pharmacy again.
Wish I had read the reviews before I used this pharmacy. Am traveling and needed to refill my medication for diabetes. For 2 days, tried to work with them but staff seemed disinterested. Told ME to call physician to get renewal which I did. Physicians office sent twice but walgreens denied receiving. Long wait times on their phone.. Had to leave without getting my medications. I travel a lot and have never had this problem. Hopefully, the walgreens at my next stop will care more about the medical needs of their clients than this crew.
AVOID THIS PHARMACY! LONG HOLD TIMES & LONGER WAIT IN DRIVE THROUGH.This is the most poorly run pharmacy I have ever used. I have spent over ONE HOUR on hold trying to speak to someone on the phone after the Walgreens app notified me that I needed to contact the pharmacy. I have NEVER had a good experience at this location filling the same prescription every month. I will be changing immediately. The only reason I havent changed yet is the prior authorization for insurance was processed for this location.
Trust the reviews here... this pharmacy is absolutely terrible. Before I moved back to Prattville, my go-to pharmacy was a Walgreens in NW Florida, so I thought I would continue using Walgreens, but every time I come here, the staff has always been rude and act like they cant be bothered.Previously theyve claimed to have never received my prescriptions, despite my doctor confirming multiple times they sent in and sending it multiple times (they did end up having it).I scheduled an appointment for a flu shot THIS MORNING, and by the time I arrived for my appointment at 11:45am, they said their computers were down and they were unable to do it, which is fine, except... there is no excuse to fail to notify a patient when a pharmacy is unable to keep an appointment, especially when the appointment was scheduled only a few hours earlier. And a decent pharmacy would ask to reschedule if possible (maybe not possible here since the system was down), offer to reach out to the customer when their system was working again, or at least apologize for the inconvenience of the customer having to drive to town for literally no reason. The lack of concern they show towards what they do raises red flags considering they handle medicine, and an I dont care attitude in this kind of field could lead to mistakes that harm people.
Last meds I will ever pick up here. Ridiculous service and it’s not because they are short staffed. Their pharmacy had gotten a little better only to be the worst it’s ever been now.
I had laparoscopic surgery and my scripts were called in to Walgreens from the hospitalThey were closed on July 4 so I had to get painkillers from a family member to be able to sleep. So when Walgreens was open I waited till 2 pm for that text - nothingEven though I have BlueCross BlueShield Walgreens of Prattville didn’t so much as bother to start my prescription saying I didn’t have the right card on file. So I had to wait to get them to do their job.Super fail WalgreensYou just lost my business foreverLearn how to run a pharmacy or get out of the pharmacy business
Wait time is horrible! 30 min to an hour in drive through every time I have to go there.
Drive thru for scrips is terrible!!! Horribly long wait times every single time I go.
If you decide to go take a COVID-19 shot please do not go to this Walgreens because they are rude and impolite and when you make an appointment they act like they don’t know you have an appointment and you still have to wait an hour while they filling prescriptions
AVOID THIS LOCATIONSince covid hit this store has become more and more poorly managed. The customer service is abysmal at best. My last visit this week I pulled into the drive through and waited 48 minutes for the six cars ahead of me to be serviced. Forty....eight.....minutes. 6 customers serviced in FORTY EIGHT MINUTES. And you know what I was told? Despite getting a text at 1138 that morning saying my prescription was ready, they couldnt find it. So I waited 48 minutes to NOT GET MY FREAKING PRESCRIPTION. and no. You cant just leave the line. Its physically impossible to do so once trapped in. Thats it. Im done. Ive had all my prescriptions transferred to Adams across the street.AVOID THIS LOCATION
Super slow pharmacy. Avoid this place unless you have 45 minutes to even drop off a prescription and then have to come back and wait another 45 minutes in-line to pick it up. They have two registers but only use one and they are not in a hurry at all.
This is the worst Walgreens I have ever been too! There service is very unorganized. The drive thru is slow and they never answer the phone!
I came in to see family in Alabama and got sick and needed some meds filled while I was down here. I waited for over an hour, and even asked twice when my prescription would be ready. I was told, “it’s almost ready. Give us just a few more minutes.” The lady who rung me out acted like I was bothering her and distracting her from doing her inventory. She didn’t even have the decency to look up at me while checking out. If there was anyway to put negative stars, I would. When I’m on vacation, I hoped to be able to trust a pharmacy. That was not the case here.
Dropped off a class II prescription yesterday and was told that they would check to see if the item was in stock once the pharmacist returned from lunch. Pharmacy technician even verified my phone number. 2 hours later, I came back to pick up the prescription and I could not go through the drive-thru due to 18-wheeler blocking it. Parked car and went into the store and waited in line only to be told they didnt have the medicine in stock. They didnt even have the common decency to call and let me know so I didnt waste 2 hours of my time. 😒
Greatly dislike this pharmacy They shorten their hours their drive-through is hortruciously slow they make me pull around when theres trouble but yet Ill sit 45 minutes behind someone else Because Im sandwiched in.
Is there a way to leave negative stars? The pharmacy is absolutely the worst. The drive through is a single lane and once you’re in line, there is no getting out. For the third month in a row I have waited nearly 45 minutes to an hour to get my Rx and the inside is just as bad. We always seem to be a horrible inconvenience to them and my husband and I have decided that it’s just time to switch pharmacies all together.
This Walgreens deserves zero stars. The pharmacy personnel is rude and unprofessional. I have spent over a week trying to be reimbursed the money that they overcharged my debit card when they triple charged me for one prescription. Even the Walgreens CSR I spoke with said she was filing a complaint because they were extremely rude to her.
Waited 40 minutes for a script they said was ready. Seriously?
Worst pharmacy around can drive to Montgomery and get prescription filled faster
Slow, bad customer service. Not worth the stop.
Yesterday ( saturday) all pharmacists called in...so no meds. Now been in line an hour on Sunday. Awful service. Rude employees
Usually a nice visit. The pharmacy ppl can be a little rude. Ive stood at the counter on several visits as they carry on personal conversations instead of tending to customers as they come up.
Very friendly and engaged sales floor team (for the most part, and the leadership team is relatively swift at removing anyone not fit for a customer service position) and the store stays in stock, clean, and organized - the GM hasnt changed in over a decade so hes clearly doing something right. As with any Walgreens, the pharmacy staff is my biggest complaint; thats depending on who you talk to of course. Theyre not ALL rude, unhelpful, and work at a snails pace. Regardless, all it takes is that one bad apple to ruin the customers experience - hence the 4/5 rating.
The young girl at the pharmacy counter acted as if I discussed her when I tried to ask about a tetanus shot, not once but twice she made us feel as if we were bothering her on her day off, Ive never been treated so rudely in a place of business.... & I used to love the place.
The pharmacy is horrible, as is usual for Walgreens. I waited 40 minutes to pick up my medicine only to be told they put it back on the shelf because it had been 12 days since the script was called in. No one called to make sure I would still get it or anything. Like most people, I stay busy and haven’t had time to go by - the line is always really long inside and at the drive thru. They’ve lost my business.
Switched to this location recently, and I am pleased with my interactions with the pharmacy staff (prompt and polite while being efficient) and special thanks to Crissy/Crystal(?) in Photo department. She was extremely helpful, patient, and knowledgeable!
Rude and unprofessional. Every time I call their system is down. Half of the time, they don’t answer the phone! I will be transferring to a different pharmacist.
I went through the drive thru last night to pick up flu meds. The one the doctor recommended was going to cost me $60, but then the precious lady at the window told us we could get a coupon online that would make the medicine only $30 instead. By the time I had it pulled up on my phone, she had my prescription ready. Thank you so much! (Wish I had gotten the lady’s name!)
Lots if deals
I got my wedding invitations here. They helped me alot! My invitations are exactly like I wanted them. Im so thankful for them. Will definitely be using them again!! Beucana and a guy helped us and they were so sweet and very patient with me so if you need pictures printed I suggest Walgreens there amazing!!!!
Hayden was very helpful when I called to see if an item was in stock.
They can be extremely slow at times. However, they are always very friendly as well as helpful. Ive been looking for various items before, that they didnt carry, and they are happy to tell you were to go nearby to find it. Ive also found some really cute and cheap tunics at this location.
It’s a fine Walgreens waits can be up to 40 minutes at max.
Id long written off ever getting my medications from a Walgreens after years of getting terrible, slow, and rude service, but today was a wholly different experience. My prescriptions were ready by the time I arrived there coming from the doctors office, everyone was friendly, and it was a great shopping trip despite my illness. Thanks!
LOVE the original pharmacy staff under Pharmacist Barry Brewer...professional, friendly, helpful staff but when Rite Aid merged they brought the rude folks with them..Melissa Evans is a Gem!
Have gone here for years for mine and my familys prescriptions, as well as quick pick up items. I wanna say that have treated us right more often times than not. The times that they might have overstepped was when they were equally as frustrated as I was. TBH I love their rewards program and app even synced to it my step counter. Now Im getting rewards points and not spending a dime :D. Just try to remember to avoid their busiest hours.
The absolute slowest, most care free staff that I’ve ever seen. When you are in pain and need to pick up your prescription, run far away from here.
I injured my shoulder and pulled up to the drive thru at 9:58pm. The pharmacy closes at 10. The tech said there wasn’t enough time to fill my prescription, but ended up telling me to hold on. The pharmacist came to the window and told me he’d get me taken care of. I’m so thankful for him !!!
Slow! Slow! Slow! I am a full-time RVer so in my travels I have occasion to use Walgreens in different areas. They need to tighten up and get with the program. Their pharmacies are poorly managed. Whats the point in busily filling pill bottles if you dont wait on the customers who are waiting in line to pick up their prescriptions. I wish Rite Aid hadnt sold out to them. I will be taking my business to CVS.
Repeated rudeness from young pharmacist. They think they are the only hardworking people around. The ladies on the floor are mostly nice but lm changing pharmacies as soon as possible
I can just walk right in and buy a Baby Ruth bar! There is also a Redbox here. The inside just like any other Walgreens, nice.
The absolutely slowest drive through of any establishment that I have ever endured. To make mattrrs worse, single lane so once you are in line, you are trapped.A few other: They take so long to contact your Dr. For refills. I dropped a script but was 3 days early. They told me what day to come back and when I showed...they had lost the script. I had to go back to my mothers Dr. to get a replacement. Even worse, they acted like I never even dropped off the first one.
Pharmacist is not friendly and they are extremely slow to get your precriptions.
Horrible beyond belief!! Don’t even deserve 1 star! Do not go here! Go to Millbrook, it’s a night and day difference. My script has been lost multiple times, once was given someone else’s medication. Waited for someone to acknowledge me for 5 minutes once, but I did get to over hear the technician on a personal phone call talking to someone about smoking weed so that was entertaining while I waited. It’s unbelievable that these people are allowed to assist in someone’s wellbeing!
Horrible experience! I was placed on hold for nearly 10 minutes. The phone rang back 3 times and no one ever came to the phone. As a matter of fact when I said hello, someone sent me back to more music. I spoke to Shay the pharmacist and this is normal practice for them. I went to Publix instead!!! I can only think that people go to this location out of habit. However, I’d rather spend my money where I am respected as a customer.
Has everything I need that is free of dyes and perfume for my rare skin cancer. I would have given 5 stars but they need to hire more employees since CVS isnt on Express Script recommendation now and are getting longer lines meaning longer waiting times in the pharmacy.
Super
Love coming here for my RX and sweets needs 😊Pharmacy usually does good at getting you in and out.
Love using them for my prescriptions. Drive thru is super convenient.
Used for Years great pharmacy
I mostly go to Walgreens for their Walgreens exclusive Funko Pop toys, that my son and I collect, and this store doesnt even get half of the ones that come out. Walgreens doesnt usually sell them on the website, and the closest store that does have them is completely out of my way, and a chore for me to get to. Ive honestly never purchased anything else from this store, but the staff have always been friendly and the store is clean and well organized.
Horrible place for prescriptions! Be prepared to spend your day, night and next morning waiting in line and dont even attempt the drive through!
Great customer service. Always friendly and respectful. A little slow due to high cutomer traffic but thats to be expected when you the best in town. Great job s.mememorial walgreens. Of Prattville.
Extremely rude, lost multiple prescriptions of mine. Never been to a Walgreens this slow. Do not come here! I will not be back.
Love the store, but pharmacy not so much.
I trust this Walgreen with all my precriptions . They send out text alerts to me when the medicine is ready and when the preccription is done.
WOST possible place to get meds! I will NEVER to business at this location ever again. I went to publix to get some prescription eye drops within 2 minutes they told me they were unavailable to fill it. I decided to go to Walgreens. I dropped off the prescription she looked at it and said it would take 2 hours. I got an automated call half an hour later saying it would be delayed and THEY WOULD contact me once my prescription was ready. I waited an hour and a half and called them. Thats when they tell me they couldnt fill my prescription. I asked why did i have to wait 2 hrs in pain when publix told me they couldnt fill it within 3 minutes.
Store is clean, well stocked and the employees are very helpful. A+
Very judge mental, unprofessional pharmacy. A family member brought a prescription into this suppose to be professional pharmacy and they REFUSED to fill her medication. For whatever reasons they believed the medication was prescribed for, it was none of their business. The pharmacist asked her personal questions regarding why she was prescribed the medicines. I think that this was appalling and disrespectful to this young lady. What kind of business is this to pick and choose what medications to fill for a patient? If you are a licensed professional who people rely on for medical advice/ or information, then you are clearly in the wrong profession if everything is based off of your personal feelings or opinion.
Great selection, slow service at times
The young woman in the 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐲 is very rude and frankly, I don’t think she knows what she’s doing. It is EXTREMELY OBVIOUS she doesn’t like her job! I won’t go back because of her.
Very unprofessional, so slow Every time. So bad the past 3 times Ive been through the drive through Ive had to just drive off. I waited and waited to be waited on.
The longest wait for prescription ever, every time I go!
Quick and convenient nice people
Average service and the slowest pharmacy Ive ever seen. The only reason for the 2nd star is for the rest of the store.
Slow, slow, prescription called in hours ago still going to be too long to wait.
Unprofessional pharmacy and disrespectful.
Long wait time
Slow in getting prescriptions
Long waits
Walgreens is cool
👍👍👍
