My old Toyota truck started having trouble when I happened to be on New Bern Avenue, and I knew I had to get it fixed right there and then. I called around to a few places in the area and they all told me the same thing: Sorry, your truck is too old. Then I called New Hope Auto Service, and they said I could pull in anytime that day. My heroes! They were upfront about the problem, and also pointed out another urgent repair - and SHOWED me what they were talking about, so I knew it was necessary. Thank you, New Hope!
They were wonderful! I had a nail in my tire and needed to get it patched. Every other place I called told me it would be around 1.5 hours. New Hope had me in and out in less than 30 min. Everyone there was super friendly and helpful AND it was less than the other places had quoted. Definitely recommend them!
The staff was so very friendly! I had a little electrics issue with my vehicle after spilling Starbucks in the console area. I really appreciated how kind the staff were… and thankfully it was not incredibly pricey! I highly recommend.
Ive been here for years and wont let anyone but NHAS work on my 1996 Honda Civic. Ray and techs have always been the best. They dont oversell and as a matter of fact Ray will do his best to save you money. One example is something in my clutch went out causing my car not to start about a year ago. Instead of selling me a new clutch, he got in up there to replace one small part which cost me around $200 saving me a lot more money than a new clutch! Ive had no problems since then.I have AAA and dont live nearby. When I need a tow about once a year, AAA suggests a mechanic a mile away. I tell them no. Im going to Ray.For those of you whove left negative reviews, Id suggest instead of writing a review first, talk with Ray. Hell do his best to fix the situation.
Great service, great prices, always get me in when they say they will. Have used them for years and always feel comfortable that they do the job right
Fantastic mechanics! I thought we only had one problem but had suspicions of others and they confirmed it all. They were professional and kind, took photos as they repaired so we could see what was going on, and most importantly they were priced fairly. We will definitely be going back for any of our car needs!
Im always impressed with the service here. These guys take the time to go over everything I am concerned about, call me promptly with a full report on what needs attention and what doesnt, with fair estimates for the needed work. Everyone is professional and friendly; a hassle-free experience. Thanks again guys.
Ray at New Hope Auto has been my mechanic for multiple vehicles for a few years now. He is an honest, straightforward guy and has always done fair by me. For example, I had to have a transmission rebuilt. Ray warrantied the work about a year later, there was a problem with the new transmission. Ray arranged to have the transmission rebuilt/replaced at no cost to me. I have had numerous other situations like that where Ray has looked out for me.I have been very happy with the service I have received from New Hope Auto.
They saved me around $1400 from an estimate I received from some place else.
Wonderful independently owned shop! Fixed my tire without charging me after having a rough morning. They were also very knowledgeable and answered my questions.AAA across the street tried to make me spend money on a new tire even though mine could have been patched. Two tow trucks later I found this place.I give my thanks to Ray and his crew!
Excellent service. Pricing is very competitive, and more reasonable than some I was super impressed with the 2yr/24k mile Nationwide warranty on Parts and Labor?! I travel for work and this is very beneficial for me. It also shows that they stand behind their work. Ray, Frank, Mike and April are very professional but still make you feel like part of the family! I will keep coming back for sure!
I have been taking my car to them since moving to NC and I am always satisfied when leaving. My father recommended them to me and now, I recommend them to everyone. They are reasonable, good, and have excellent customer service. You dont feel like just money walking in there, you feel more like family. Ray and Neil will work with you to make sure that you are up and running for a fair price.
I’ve been coming here for a few years and they always take great care of our cars. I’ve come to trust them and their workmanship, and they have proven themselves to be a top-notch, fair priced, high quality auto repair service. Ray and Neil are excellent mechanics, and I look forward to being a customer here for many more years. I never write reviews, but I seriously recommend this place to anyone looking for a great auto repair shop. Service is timely, friendly, honest, and they take the time to explain what is wrong with the vehicle and why certain repairs need to be done. This business is truly a gem in Raleigh!!!!
Ray is amazing! The staff is super friendly, very knowledgeable, and very accommodating! I was able to bring my car in, drop it off and they took me to work and gave me the option to drop off my car at work when it was completed or pick me up at the end of my work day! I DEFINITELY recommend going to New Hope for ALL of your service needs!
They do not deserve even one star. I had my 2007 Honda Accord towed into the shop because it wouldn’t start and it had a flat tire. I received a phone call saying the car would need a new engine. Not wanting to invest money into a new engine for that car, I decided I would scrap it. So far, so good. Then, when I went in to ask about selling it to the shop for parts and salvage, I was told all they could do was not charge me the $164 for the diagnostic test, and the tire patch. This is when they lost my respect. They blatantly took advantage of my situation and completely ripped me off. There’s no way that vehicle was worth a mere $164, but since I already knew I would be getting a new vehicle soon, and I had to return to work-I decided to hold my tongue on that matter. Get this, when I went to my vehicle to retrieve my belongings before basically giving them a free project car, I noticed the tire was STILL FLAT. After the “transaction” The man I dealt with then proceeded to tell me to come back anytime once I get a new car. Was he trying to make me laugh?! No, thank you. I wouldn’t tell my worst enemy to set foot in there. I am writing this review solely for the purpose of letting the public know that this place WILL rip you off if an opportunity arises. They also couldn’t tell me what was wrong with my engine besides “I needed a new one.” I would watch this company closely, as I would hate for what happened to me to happen to anyone else. Never leave your mechanical child with this crook establishment.
Excellent work!!! I got my car serviced in a timely manner, no problem at all! they fixed my honda accord for a low price with great customer service and they even explained it so i could better understand my cars problems! overall great business!
I came in looking to get a diagnostic ran on my car to figure out what was wrong and an estimate on how to fix it. My husband is pretty knowledgeable about cars but didn’t have the time to fix himself. We had the diagnostic ran and were told the VVT solenoids and both O2 sensors needed to be changed. We were quoted over $900. My husband and I decided to do our own research and realized this quote was extremely high for parts and labor. We took it to another shop for a second opinion and the only codes that have ever popped up on my car was for the VVT solenoids, nothing about o2 sensors! New Hope wouldn’t give me a written estimate or codes for a reason. They were obviously fabricating hoping I wouldn’t know any better. I ended up getting my car fixed for under $250. I hate to think that people take advantage of others like this. Please do your own research before letting them do any work!
Took my vehicle there Ray Moore took very good care of my car. Took it to a shop before here they try to sell me spark plugs and 6 coils which all the issue was the fresh air tube was torn in 2 places. Thanks Ray I will recommend everyone to this place great people great prices.
What a nice, honest, hard-working Family! Our RV broke down on the way through this area, we knew no one who could take a look at it, let alone work on it. Deans Wrecker Svc suggested this business, and New Hope Auto jumped right on it.THANKS, folks - you made a couple of Florida friends and we got to meet a great NC Family, too.
We were doing business with them, they didnt complete the program and left a bad review. Creating an online presents takes time, I guess not all have the patience required. Weve asked them on several occasion to remove the premature review because they did not complete our program, but we have not received a response from them in over 6 months. I guess not all businesses are good for their word. I do business with people who are good for their word. Cant really trust someone who doesnt live up to their end of the bargain.
BEWARE!!! This sole proprietorship business is a rip off. My daughter car would not crank after she pumped gas at the Exxon beside this shop on Christmas day. We contacted New Hope Auto Services about looking at the car. In the beginning they were very kind and made me feel like they were good and understanding people. I spoke with Ray not the owner Ray Moore. He stated that if I paid for the diagnosis and agreed to allow them to fix the car that they would be nice and hold the car 30 days to give us time to pay the $796 quoted estimate to get the car back in running condition. Around January 25 my daughter paid the remainder invoice and drove the car to her home which is less than 5 miles. When she came back out to pick her child up from daycare the car did not crank and still has not cranked since then. She, her boyfriend, and I have called the shop on numerous occasions letting the shop know that her car is still not cranking and hasnt since she left the shop. I personally have been told by Ray that the owner Ray would call. Here its been at least 2 weeks and we still havent heard from ANYONE at the shop. They took her money and the car has not cranked since. Dont use this company. I am also filing a complaint with the attorney general. BEWAREof their business practices here
Combine quality work with fair pricing, you cant beat these guys. They are the best around. Period. No bs, no cheats just honest good work.
Ray/owner is a perfectionist. Hes not satisfied until the job is done right and stays true to his estimate! They have all the latest high-dollar Electronic equipment and yet was cheapest estimate around and job completed on time!!!
Always friendly and nice. Come here all the time for work and advice. Would highly recommend
Thanks Neal. You did an excellent job on my car today on my Honda Accord . I will always go to New Hope Auto Service. Their work, prices, and customer service is excellent.
Great communication, great prices, and great result. Very pleased with my service at New Hope!
Disappointed. Had spark and coils done. Had to get spark plugs and coils done a day later at BMW Southpoint because the car drove thesame way when I left. I really dont have just $1,300 to give away. I trusted you and your staff to repair my car. Lesson learned.
Julian is the MAN!!! Customer service skills on 100,000%. Definitely will tell you the truth of the issue thats wrong before you even say I need this fixed. He will make sure thats what you need. Trust Julian. Hes the man for the job.
Great place to go and get service work done.
Everyone is knowledgeable and very nice
