Not a fan of the customer service / sales agents. Not such a welcoming environment. Received the best service at Crate and Barrel and also Arhaus! Money well spent at those stores.
Do not order furniture from Pottery Barn. We ordered a sectional sofa from this location in early November of 2020-it has since been delayed numerous times and now isnt scheduled to arrive until June of 2021. The sales people at the store will give you a 6-8 week estimate for delivery, but that is a plain lie. Once you order, you cannot get a refund until the item is delivered. Weve been out thousands of dollars for 5 months with no furniture to show for it.
Never have I taken the time to write a review for a company. If I could give Pottery Barn negative stars I would. Their customer service was horrible! I canceled an order and two months later had my account charged they refused credit my account and insisted I have a merchandise credit which I did not want AND I never got the product because they sent it to the wrong address. Multiple times I asked to speak to a supervisor which they would not pass me up to instead they sent me to a team leader who was not only rude but didn’t know what he was doing. If you order from this company make sure you want the item because it’s impossible to cancel and get a refund
Nice store with helpful associates. Some areas could definitely use a good dusting.
PHENOMENAL customer service! Deena and Deborah were absolutely wonderful. They were kind, helpful, and made me feel like a valued customer. Pottery Barn offers a military discount but what was not expected, but greatly appreciated, was their very sincere thanks for my service. These ladies are top notch and Pottery Barn is my number one favorite place to buy furniture, bedding, and decor. I especially love Pottery Barn Kids. All of their furniture is Greenguard Gold Certified and their bedding is organic. When it comes to air quality and maximum safety for my child, I would never consider any other store. PBK doesn’t just meet safety regulations, they exceed them!
Great place, found everything we were looking for. Anita was incredibly helpful! We will definitely be back.
I absolutely love pottery barn. They are definitely on the pricier side of things but the quality in undeniable. It was love at first sight when I saw the York grand sofa on display. I wanted to buy it on the spot. I ended up buying the 80 sofa version over the 95 grand sofa online. I considered it an investment. I plan to have this piece for many years. I can see myself getting some other pieces from the collections here. Once I buy my house I wont have much furniture shopping to do!
Six weeks ago I purchased 4 brass chargers over the internet for pickup. When my daughter went to get them, they could not find them. A month later I received an email saying my chargers were being returned because no one picked them up. I was on vacation and called the store and ask if they could hold them for two weeks when I returned from vacation and had quarantined. A young man said he could do that. Two weeks later when I called to confirm I was going to come pick them up, I was told by someone in a managerial position that she confirmed my story and the young man had placed them back for me. She said their policy is to only hold things for three days. She was rather nonchalant about the issue. I am now sitting with 4 chargers that are not returnable and lost the other four! Very poor customer service!
Top notch from the quality furniture down to the sales people. I have a sofa, tv stand, leather chair, drapes, and ottoman from PB and I can’t express how impressed with the quality of it all I am. Yes, it’s a little pricey but you get what you pay for.
I worked with Brett at the Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh while visiting North Carolina from out of state. Brett went **above and beyond** to assist in my selections including all aspects of customizing the furniture I purchased. He is exceptionally personable and KNOWLEDGEABLE with many years experience in the field. Brett was off the day I finalized my selections and actually made the purchase so I worked with Debera. Debera was so nice and made sure all needs were met. I highly recommend Brett, Debra and the Crabtree Valley location to anyone in the market for Pottery Barn merchandise!
Great selection, ridiculous prices, check out what you need and buy them on Amazon for a fraction of the price
Went with my husband, the place was empty except for one other couple, employees looked and didnt even greeted, we were completely ignored, although we were walking around the store for like 20 mins.. Rude.
Celia Nunn at Pottery Barn is an exceptional customer service employee!!! I cant say enough about her positive attitude and professionalism on the phone and when I arrived at the store to pick up a gift registry item. I called when the store was opening to ask about a product on the gift registry. She politely shared she was opening up the store registers and would look for the items, and hold them. I asked for wrapping, she went the extra mile to assure my gifts were held and boxed up/wrapped when i arrived at the store. She definitely went the extra mile to help me knowing i was pressed for time. The BEST sales manager Ive seen in retail in ages. Im not a regular customer at Pottery Barn, or the mall for that matter, but SHE makes me want to check out Pottery Barn for other items/gift. THANK YOU Celia!
This place is beautiful but out of my price range, but I love to look and see what and how they are styling things.
Do not order furniture for delivery! After waiting over two months, the delivery man shows up at the door. He says he is tired and is not going to delivery my furniture. He leaves. No reschedule. No number to call. Nothing! Now I can’t get my furniture and having problems with a refund!!! This is just absolutely terrible service. I warn everyone before you order! You would think someone from pottery barn would try to remedy this situation .... nope. There is no one to talk to and no customer service. I will never shop at pottery barn or any other company owned by William Sonoma.
Overpriced furniture and other home goods. Not worth shopping there.
Waited in 2 lines, got exhausted waiting and left without being able to purchase.
The experience that I had made really set the tone for this store. I waited in line to purchase my item while other customers kept getting taken care of, all the while the cashier kept telling me she would help me in a few, I kept waiting, I had one item.. Then she phoned for help and no one showed up. She walks away with yet another customer, so I was like nevermind, I left the item in the cashiers counter and left. Im a simple person, I dress simple, the customers that seemed more important dressed like money. I dont know how you can treat a person so differently. Who knows I might have wanted to order furniture but since others were more important I went elsewhere.
Cindy was exceptionally knowledgeable and courteous, not to mention patient, as I deliberated between numerous fabric choices for my sectional sofa!
Awesome customer service! My wife finally found the perfect Thanksgiving salad plates and the guys spent 30 minutes hunting then down for us, and then waived shipping. Really above and beyond, especially on a Friday night.
This store was having a great sale and very accomodating. I needed some Shams but was having a hard time locating them, they were no longer online. Another store transferred them over to the Crabtree store for me. There I was able to get all the pillows and everything to complete my bedding.
I thought it’s something really good and worth the experience prices they have but it turns out like Walmart just fancy store, I bought along time ago 2 blue pillows covers i was using them just for decoration on my bed when I decided to use them I just washed them and the color was gone. And I think if I buy them from Walmart will be better.
We ordered a bed frame at the beginning of June 2019 with an estimated delivery date of July 29 - August 12th. 2 months for a bed frame to be shipped from California to North Carolina. Once we saw that the delivery date was coming up, I called in to ask for an update on my order. Everyone I spoke with at the Crabtree location acted like it was chore to give me an update on my $2000+ order and never had an specifics for me in terms of an estimated ETA. The bed ended up being delivered Sep 5th, another month after my initial delivery estimate. This wasnt a custom piece, or a piece that needed to be built. It was a bed frame that took over 3 months to be delivered. The worst part about it was the horrible customer service after the sale. The people were very nice until they received our order. Once we placed the order, getting order updates was impossible and the representatives were rude and short. Great furniture, horrible customer service.
Ordered a bed online with white glove delivery service. Be careful. They did not finish the installation, and left the support slats loose and not screwed down. One was installed upside down. This is not Rooms to Go, I expected better service from PB and its affiliates. I am going to have to buy hardware that must have just been thrown out. Really disappointing.Edit: their customer service did agree to replace the bed, and fix the issues we had. Updating my rating.
Love me some PB! All the sales associates are friendly and helpful. And dont forget they offer free design services in your home!
Higher quality furnishings with even higher prices. I recommend waiting on a sale.
Expensive!
Never buy drapes from Pottery Barn!! I bought Pottery Barn drapes and curtains. I took them to the dry cleaners. They were cleaned per the directions on the tag. They shrunk 2 inches!! Now Pottery Barn is giving me issues about swapping or giving me an even exchange, even credit because I can’t find my receipt (but who would hold onto a drape/ curtain receipt) and the store can’t look up receipt. Who would ever think that $69+ / panel drapes would shrink and curtains? When I went to the store with shrunk product I felt my integrity was in question they took the drapes & curtains and measured and they were shrunk on top of the fact they told me that they would hold onto the drapes and curatains till they find out what they can do. They came back with you can pick them up (store is not close to my home) or we can give you $10 / panel credit. Are you kidding me? I was told that is all the store can do. I called customer service spoke with Asia and she told me she would call the store and get back to me the next day. It’s been over a week and no word. Now I have been on hold with customer service for over 1/2 an hour due to long waiting period. Unbelievable!!
Design folks were very helpful in helping us with our new home rug selections and were very open minded to our taste and budget.
If I could give less stars I would. I ordered an item in the store- a nightstand- in February 2019. Inititally the item was back ordered until the end of March. The item never arrived, furthermore, I was never alerted to this fact. Had to find out myself by getting online and digging. This happened two more times. Again- never received any sort of email update on my product. Today I got online to check delivery status as it was now due to arrive July 1, 2019. I got online to find out the order had been cancelled by pottery barn June 24, 2019. Again- no notification was ever sent to me via email. So after waiting over 4 months this item is no longer available through the manufacture. Needless to say I will never order anything from pottery barn again! Horrible customer service and communiciation. Beware if you do order from them and be ready to be disappointed!
Sales reps were really nice
Great
Now this potterybarn understands customer service my wife and I visit here quite often even though we can walk to the Pottery Barn located at Southpoint. Imagine we choose to drive 30 minutes most times longer with traffic to visit another potterybarn when we have one within walking distance of our house. This is because the one near my home is at Southpoint in Durham is always a hit and miss with customer service you just never know what youre going to get. So far though over the years we have never had a single issue at the store. I would like to thank the management at the Crabtree location for this.
Everyone is helpful and go the extra mile.
We returned an online purchase. It was handled quickly and proficiently.
Customer service with Pottery Barn Kids has been extremely disappointing. I am currently on the phone on hold for 26 minutes now (3rd phone call since March 15) to speak to a manager and I keep getting denied the right to speak with one. I purchased a $55 backpack for my daughters first year of Kindergartner and the strap has fully broke. Bare in mind its Kindergarten, she only has a folder and her lunch in her backpack. I think a $55 backpack should last the school year. My daughter came home crying because it was broken and no one seems to want to help us exchange it for a new one. I am taking this complaint to every social media outlet and Moms Group that I know until I get a response.
Dont remember visiting this place
Stood there waiting for someone to help me while two employees completely ignored me while gossiping with each other about other employees. Lost my business
Love it.
Fantastic color, selection, quality and price !
Beautiful furniture no help.
Poor customer service. Made to feel as though I was bothering her by asking questions about my order.
Dreadful customer service. I ordered two cabinet knobs, website said in stock, three days later excepting a shipping date on back-order I have spent over 30 minutes on two occasions, on the phone still no firm ship date. Last purchase ever.
Horrible return policy, poor customer service
Nice
