This was my first time purchasing from a used car dealership, and I had an overall good experience with Empire Motors. Peter was willing to let me take the car I was interested in to MY Mechanic for a Pre-Purchase Inspection. (I always recommend taking a used car to your personal mechanic to get their Professional opinion on if it is a wise purchase)Upon finding some routine maintenance that I would have to get done, the dealership was willing to negotiate a bit on the price.Empire Motors did not charge a down payment until I was certain I wanted the car: they will hold the car for 3 days for $300, and a week for $500 (this amount goes toward the total price of car).Rebecca worked with me, she was so accommodating and put me at ease through the experience. Peter handled the paperwork, and explained everything behind the scenes.So far the car is working fine, and was a fair price.

4/26/2021 I decided to UPGRADE ! I walked into Empire Motors with a general idea of what I wanted. The host Diego, Bass & Brian was super friendly, they provided excellent customer service, I was able to make my purchase for a 2015 Honda. Was looking to purchase a specific vehicle and every lot had either sold the vehicle, or it wasn’t up to my standards. But with a search online, I was led to Empire Motors. Saw that they had the specific vehicle (Ford Expedition) I had been looking for months. Went in the next day & was there no longer than an hr ! ***UPDATE***After having this vehicle in our possession for less than a week, the “check engine” light comes on. I immediately try to call Brian, the finance manager that sold us the extended warranty and wasn’t able to reach him. I called the office and was told that I could bring it in and the “mechanic” could check the codes. I drive 1 hour and 45 minutes to get there from home only to be told that the “mechanic” was NOT there and wouldn’t be back until the end of the following week. I was even told that it was probably a loose gas cap and I didn’t need to worry about it but they would make me an appointment with the shoot they use on Monday. Sam, the owner, felt like it was not the company’s problem when we learned that the truck was showing codes related to misfiring. After several heated discussions, he agreed to help with the cost. The total was almost $1,000, and he paid roughly $300. The mechanics at the shop were very nice and honest, but said that they believe that the light would come back on because of other issues and that they were not going to be able to work on the vehicle again. After a few days the problem reoccurred and this time we took it to an actual Land Rover mechanic that discovered that the reservoir for the coolant was full of the “Stop Leak” chemical. After further diagnostics, we were told that the engine was basically gone and that it had either a cracked or broken head. The extended warranty will NOT cover this and Sam will not stand behind his vehicles. While my initial review was glowing, I believe that the true measure of a business is the reaction when a customer is experiencing trouble with a purchase.IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A VEHICLE AND DECIDE TO GO TO EMPIRE MOTORS, BUYERS BEWARE! TAKE YOUR MECHANIC WITH YOU, AND DO NOT BELIEVE THAT YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEYS WORTH FROM THESE PEOPLE. I apologize for the initial review and wish I had NEVER EVER PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE FROM THESE CROOKS!*Original Post (I apologize for the misinformation from this original post.)We came in and looked about a month ago and it was awesome! Bad News Folks! Empire Motors sold me a warranty that is useless. The entire air conditioning in vehicle stopped working and I had to pay $800 out of pocket as the $2000 warranty I paid for does not cover anything ... read the VERY FINE Print - its worded quite slickly. I spoke with the warranty folks so I asked can I cancel since they really dont cover anything. They said yes and that I also need to speak with Empire Motors and alert them as they have to return part of the money. Ive been calling almost everyday and Diego who answers informs me he has nothing to do with that. That I need to speak with the new person as Brian left Empire Motors. I ask him everyday to have the manager who is never available to call me and to no avail. They were great to sell me a vehicle and get my money, but now no help whatsoever! Not even a call back!! So I take back that excellent review I gave them and am alerting you ... be forewarned!!

I bought a car from them and have not had it for 2 weeks even and the motor let go I’d advise for people to not by a car from them, when I tried to call them they keep saying we will call you back and my calls where never returned and I had to call them. DONT BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE. Skip ahead a couple of days get another phone call after my sister left a review and the manager called my phone pretty much placing blame on me that the car blew up proceeded to tell me that if she doesn’t remove the post that they’re gonna get lawyers involved. I highly advise people to NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I have not modified this vehicle nor am I part of a car club that’s their assumption, and they never offered a warranty on this vehicle, and I never told them I had plans to modify this vehicle, again their assumption.

If I could rate this a zero I would! This dealership has basically scammed my brother and are not attempting to fix it. They sold him a car about 2 weeks ago now and while driving, the rocker arm shot through the valve cover and oil began to spill EVERYWHERE. Again, car was purchased not even 2 weeks prior to this occurring. He called & spoke with the manager, sharing with him what happened; the manager spoke rudely to my brother placing blame on him for the incident happening. The manager brushed my brother off saying Toyota just replaced the motor so it couldnt have been the dealerships fault at all, it must have been how my brother was driving his car. The dealership is not even trying to fix the situation at all. The least they could do is send someone to look at the vehicle to actually rule out any fault of their own or Toyota for that matter. I am not understanding why they have not done anything, never mind, I do know...they got their money so they no longer care. I have seen another post from just over a couple of months ago with the same issue (oil spilling everywhere after purchasing a vehicle from here). Also, a review from 6 months ago, said she purchased a car from here, all of the lights came on while driving and the brakes went out, THEY DID NOT HELP HER EITHER. Someone else shared their experience and had to pay $4500 to get their truck fixed somewhere else. This is HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will make sure to tell everyone I know to NEVER purchase a car from here every chance I get. I hope people who read this review LISTENS and go elsewhere to purchase their car. This is not good business practice. **Edit** He called my brother yelling this afternoon (3/4/2021) and has threaten to get a lawyer involved because of this review. **Edit 2** I am in no way being unfair by sharing an experience that my family has gone through nor am I attempting to intimidate anyone. I may not have purchased the vehicle; however, this has negatively impacted everyone. Also, I would love a copy of the recording.
