Very good repair experience. My violin bridge was transported out, and the tone of my own adjustment has not been good. After adjusting the tone by a young violin repair technician, the tone has improved a lot. I am very satisfied. Thank you very much! Very professional!
What a poor experience. I walked in about 20 minutes early for my appointment which was originally set for 1 PM I was told that I had would have to come back at my appointment time. The woman at the front never asked me what I was therefore and then after the fact asked me for my name before she couldn’t find me in the system and I said that was odd because I was told to come in at 1 PM and I already had a rental contract she said it would’ve been her emailing me. After essentially pulling teeth and her barely getting my information she brought someone out from the back and he told me it would be helpful to have an appointment I explained I did have an appointment I was there just a few minutes early yes I did have a rental contract. It’s almost like the woman looked at me and just didn’t wanna help for some odd reason. Very judge you Janet experience instead of actually trying to help us. Perhaps the ongoing service will be better but so far I’m not impressed and I have no idea why my daughters private school recommended this place.
Super customer service! I was pleasantly surprised when I was expecting to be there for a long time while the violin was fixed but they did it right away and I was on my way out 10 minutes later. They have very nice and capable personal. Super professionals! I highly recommend this place.
WOW!! I am so happy with the quality of service I received from Triangle Strings. I called late this afternoon to make an appointment to set the sound post and strings on my cello, and got the friendliest response. I was told that there was an opening today at 3, it’d only take about 10 minutes, and the service was free (SO AWESOME)!When I got there, the gentleman was super attentive, explained everything well and with genuine care/detail, and went beyond my expectations. He even tuned my strings, walked me through my new tuner/metronome, more! So awesome, so happy, and definitely will be back for all my future cello needs. Thank you so much!
Great customer service!! They did a really great job restoring my great grandfathers violin. Thanks!!
Got strings changed. Was completed very well
Best bow rehair services- Hands down! Please check out triangle strings for the rental program- the staff is professional, knowledgeable, and the instruments are HIGH quality- your child, your loved ones, or if you have been thinking about playing violin/ cello / viola yourself- this place will give you great guidance.
Very professional and helpful.
I went to Triangle strings looking to have my daughter’s violin checked. Lucy welcomed us and was very nice and helpful. Then me met Sebastian who in a bit was able to identify what was wrong with the violin. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and was also very nice. I definitely recommend this place!!
Professional fast service for cello. Will be going here from now on
I took my viola in so one of their luthiers could make suggestions about improving the setup of my instrument. Lucy was prompt about communicating with me and setting up an appointment. Even though my instrument is low-end, they were very warm, efficient, and interested in doing what they could for me within my budget. I felt very comfortable and they were friendly even though I am not a professional, I play for my own enjoyment in amateur community groups. They scheduled my repair for a little over a week away, which tells me that they are busy because they are very good at what they do, and that they do their work carefully. Im not in a hurry, and Im thankful theyre not, either.Lucy gave me all the information available about a rental option, which involves the viola I was thinking about buying anyway. I will continue using Triangle Strings for all my viola needs.
I am a luthier and recently got to visit Triangle Strings. Ive known about the owner Jerry for awhile and have only ever heard good things, so it was an honor for me to meet him. He has a great store and a great workshop and a great bunch of talented people working with him. He also has some very nice instruments. Jerry and his team can be trusted to complete the most complicated repairs on your instrument and they will do it correctly. These are good folks!
If you want to know what a real awesome customer service is, then find at Triangle Strings. The entire staff is excellent especially Lucy at the front desk. My sons violin had the sound post out of the place, they were courteous enough to fix it immediately free of charge. Highly recommend this shop for all your violin needs.
I came here to get my violin looked at and set up. The staff was incredibly friendly, they offered me coffee while I waited and were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. I will definitely be coming back for any future violin needs!
We have been renting my childrens instruments from Triangle Strings for the last five years. The quality of the instruments we have rented is excellent, and Triangle Strings even adapted a 1/4 size violin to be a starter viola for my son! In addition, their rental program has allowed us to build up lots of equity for the purchase of a full sized violin, which we will do soon for my other child. The team there are always helpful, friendly and accommodating to anything we have needed.
My daughter dropped her 1/2 sized violin, causing a pretty gruesome crack in the back and dislodging the sound post. The cost of a proper repair far exceeded the value of the instrument, but they offered to reset the sound post and slap some glue on the crack as a temporary fix until my seven year old grew into the next sized instrument. And they did this FOR FREE. Amazing. Im very grateful. Whatever money they lost on free labor and glue, they will more than make up by receiving my loyal business for years to come.
I have been bringing my instruments and bows to Jerry Pasewicz since 1998. His work and his business ethics are impeccable. I have always been more than pleased with his work. He is an artist at adjusting an instrument! The high quality of his rental instruments plus the service behind them makes Triangle Strings THE place for rentals.I cannot recommend highly enough!!!!
We have rented a cello from Triangle strings for our son, had repairs done to my viola. Every time we go there, we are greeted with a smile. The work that is done is fabulous and the turn around time is always good. I cant speak highly enough about their service. Thank you, Triangle Strings!
Wonderful service & kind people
Great service and friendly staff. Definitely went above and beyond to help us out.
What an amazing experience! Many thanks to Lucy, Joyu and Dustin on making the selection of a new bow so enjoyable. Although Im an adult beginner on the cello, the entire staff made sure that I was comfortable and felt welcome. Lucy had a selection of bows that met my specification, ready for testing. Joyu helped me make a final selection by playing my cello with the selected bows. And Dustin took a quick look at an adjustment on my cello. Triangle Strings will have my business for many years to come.
Love Triangle Strings! Excellent, extremely knowledge staff. Ive worked with them for years... firstly on violin rentals, then cello rentals, a cello purchase and cello bow purchases. Im extremely grateful for their expertise. They are my go-to string shop... I trust them and highly recommend them!!
I am new to the area and needed my violin tuned. They took me as a walk in, tuned it for me and answered all my question. They were nice and sweet and polite. Will definitely be going back.
Rented a violin in just few min, Great customer experience. The lady at front desk was very friendly and helpful.
Great staff. Upon request, they took my older son on a tour of their shop. The tour included the repair shop and was given an overview of their apprenticeship program/process.I would always go with the rent to own program with children - with insurance of course. Bought both a Viola and a Cello here after renting for a few years. Maintenance, and string replacement is costly otherwise.
I have a modern Viola made in 1997 by Benjamin Ruth and when the weather turns dry around here during the start of winter, a seam on the instrument sometimes opens up. Jerry Pasewicz is on top of the problem when I need him and simply excellent in every way. Also with my bow re-hairs. Triangle Strings provides a wonderful service to musicians locally and nationally. They take all their clients very seriously.
These people do good work. I didnt use them to get my bow re-hiared because they were backed up for about 2 to 3 months. Im not sure if they are either very popular or if they just dont stay on top of their customers. So instead I used John Montgomerys violins. They had my bow ready in one day! I even bought a very expensive bow from John Montgomerys because I was already there. So overall, Triangle Strings lost over $1000 of business.
They are amazing. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Will go back for any future violin needs.
Found an old violin and was just curious what it was. Staff was very kind and the owner later came out to discuss the violin. Really appreciated their time.
The person work in the front desk is very nice and professional. Her name is Joyu, she reply email fast, provide water or coffee while you are waiting, get what you need very fast and provide super good service. But Im not quite satisfied with other people work there. When I rent my violin there one year ago, the lady just left a violin in the waiting room and then disappear. I even didnt have a chance to talk to someone to see if I can try 2 or 3 violins and pick one. Recently, I have a new violin want them to check for the extra noise while playing it. The guy checked and said it was because of the string and bow and start to try to persuade me to buy string and bow at there although I already told him I can change the string by myself. The funny thing is when I went to somewhere else check my violin, they said it has nothing to do with the string and bow, they just adjust the bridge a little bit and the extra noise problem was fixed!!!!
The staff is kind and friendly, even to beginners who are out of their league. Ready to do repairs and no job is too small. They will give you free quotes and coffee while you wait. They even let me play very expensive, unique cellos while I was waiting.
Excellent Customer Service. Knowledgeable staff. Peaceful atmosphere. Love this place of business!
The staff was very nice and helpful they were prompt with my appointment time help me with the paperwork for my sons instrument the environment was very nice neat and clean I would suggest this place for anyone that needs string instruments for themselves or for their children for school rental agreements are also very affordable and within most peoples budget for the instruments
Mr. Pasewicz and their staff are the nicest and the best string professionals around. They are always very helpful and their expertise is invaluable. Also, I purchased several really nice violins and a viola from them. Additionally, Mr. Pasewicz is a violin and bow expert. We have always counted on his advices when we purchased violins and bows. Its always a pleasure to visit their office.
Excellent service, great atmosphere, coffee, excellent selection of all string players needs. Highly recommended!
My bow had a problem that our local luthier could not fix. He recommended that I send it to Triangle Strings, which I did. Its in great shape now! Im thrilled!
Very helpful group. They were willing to take a look at my violin to make sure all was in order.
Jerry and his people are great and treat people great. They also do fabulous work.
Best string shop in the region. Luthiers are all highly qualified and Jerry Pasewicz is known for his exacting work. Jenelle, who works on bows, is terrific too and Ive been very satisfied with her work! Prices are reasonable and bow rehairs are of impeccable quality. For bass work, I recommend asking directly for Ryan or Jerry, or as it often is, you get both! All the work Ive had done has been superb. They really listen to your needs and work to meet them. Highly recommended. Just make sure to make appointments a few weeks in advance, if possible. They fill up quickly!
This place is fantastic. Well-trained, experienced luthiers who charge very reasonable prices for expert work.
Triangle Strings has my devotion for life. I had a very unfortunate situation with an expensive new instrument (purchased elsewhere) essentially falling apart shortly after I bought it due to no fault of my own. It was a sticky situation involving several different people with competing interests. Mr. Pasewicz and his staff stepped right up to help me out, despite never having met me before and knowing they most likely would not earn much, if any, money for their efforts on my behalf. They stood with me until the situation was resolved because it was the right thing to do, not the most profitable. Now THAT is a caring professional team. I would trust them with anything and look forward to many years of doing business with them in the future. Thank you FOREVER, Triangle Strings.
Great job on my bow rehair. I will say I had a difficult time removing the tube from the plastic triangles in the outter box. I guess being 82 years made it more difficult than it should have been!!!! Thanks again.
Gave the violin a try by renting, they were very accommodating to a novice on bowed instruments.
Great service, friendly staff, and wonderful quality instruments!
I have a beautiful old American cello (FJ Buckley 1907) that I love so much. Last November a terrible accident occurred on the tour I was on and the cello got a huge (4in diameter) hole in the bottom right rib. Once I stopped crying, I took some pictures and sent them to my old teacher for advice/consolation. He immediately forwarded them to Jerry Pasewicz who responded within the hour. Jerry calmed my fears, assuaged my guilt and gave practical advice on how to proceed from there. I picked up all 37 pieces of wood that we found from the rib and dropped it all off in Raleigh early one morning. They quickly gave me an accurate cost and time-frame estimate. Yesterday I went to pick it up and when they handed it to me I honestly could not even figure out where the hole had been!!! It looks perfect and sounds great! Ryan Hayes, who did most of the work, told me about the process. The 37 pieces had to be put in place all at once and are reinforced on the inside with linen and hide glue. They made custom molds to keep everything in place as it was drying. I am sure there was way more to it than he even told me. It was clear that they put so much time and care into the repair and that they are amazingly skilled and experienced at their craft. This may seem a little ridiculous, but I am actually kind of glad that my cello got a hole in it so I could witness the expertise of the luthiers at Triangle Strings and because I think it gives my cello more character! I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. You have to walk down the path to the left of the dentists office after you park to find the entrance, FYI.
The best in the area. Knowledgeable helpful respectful staff.
Superb customer service, excellent quality, and very affordable pricing!
Jerry Pasewicz and his associates were referred to me after my Louis Morizot bass bow was horrifically damaged. Due to my own mistake, this bow and its case fell into a busy street, then lay there for 45 minutes, being run over by traffic. While, the stick wasnt broken, everything else certainly was.The frog was crushed, all the metalwork damaged beyond reuse, the stick chewed and dented throughout its length by the imprints of the asphalt. When I found it laying there, a broken thing, I was gutted.Jerry completely rebuilt my bow, salvaging what he could of the broken frog, replacing all of the metal, and repairing the stick. Then he carefully adjusted the camber and added the loveliest silk wrap I have ever seen.It may be hard to imagine, but having my Morizot nearly destroyed, so that it would end up being restored by Jerry Pasewicz and his co-workers was the best thing that ever happened to that bow. It looks, plays, and sounds better than it ever did before. He not only repaired and restored it, he took a decent bow and turned it into a great one!I have referred numerous people to Triangle strings. Nobody has ever been disappointed. They are not only highly skilled, conscientious, generous, artistic, and kind; Jerry and his team are miraculous!
Full and most sincere recommendation for service and support to music!
I was a bit apprehensive about sending my much loved century old French bow to someone hundreds of miles away hoping they would understand how much this stick means to me. My bow not only needed to be rehaired but it also needed a small repair to the screw. As it turns out, I was able to talk directly to Jerry Pasewicz on the phone and he patiently listened to my concerns and explained exactly how he would not only be rehairing my bow but also repairing the screw making it like new again. Both of the young ladies in the office that I spoke to were truly pleasant and helpful - by the time my bow was scheduled and the process completed I felt like I had made new friends. My bow was beautifully rehaired and repaired perfectly; I am once again enjoying a beautifully responsive bow.One additional note: I was so pleased when Jerry asked me whether I was going to be traveling with my violin during the summer or was he to rehair it with my home locale in mind - this is definitely a mark of a master craftsman who understands his clients needs and is fully committed to meeting those needs. WELL DONE!
