I have been going to A & J for quite a few years now. I go there even though I live in the bay area. Love their service, communication, and competitive pricing. They are quick and thorough, and have a wonderful, inviting family vibe while waiting. They have also taken extra precautions during Covid to care for everyones safety and still keep your car running healthy. They have worked on my import commuter car and my domestic project car.

I normally come here for an oil change. I’d rather do it myself so i can put the best oil in but due to lack of space and tools i come here. the first 3-5 times were perfect. i brought a different car in the next time and told them it was a different engine meaning it would take different oil and a bigger filter. they ended up putting all the wrong oil in. i toldthem 5w-20 full synthetic for my 5.7 hemi. idk what they put in but the next day engine lights are on and my engine is shaking. already spent $477 in repairs since it happened 3 days ago on a friday. flushed the oil and it didn’t even feel like oil. my car still isn’t running right. mostly they do a good job. the owner is the one who performed this job on my 2010 5.7 hemi. they don’t make these body styles or engines anymore and it ruined my engine. thanks to the owner. he told me “hey you have a good weekend bro” as i was leaving. right after that i felt suspicious about what he did or didn’t do to my car… later finding out all that^

Took it in for an oil change. They didnt call or text to let me know when my oil change was finished. Wasted time. They didnt put a sticker on the window indicating the date or mileage of the oil change. I couldnt check the mileage on the receipt because they didnt provide me one. When I called later to ask what the mileage was at the time of the oil change they told me a number 30,000 miles more than my current mileage. A clusterf&%k all around. I just hope they remembered to actually change the oil...

My first experience with this business and was very satisfied, would definitely return. I called ahead and even though they were busy with bigger projects, they squeezed me in for an oil change. I appreciate their full inspection that is included, which I can see benefits both the customer and them. From the inspection, I was able to handle another quick issue that was found.You can tell that customer service is important to them. The staff here was incredibly kind, efficient, thorough, and understanding of my situation. Before a long drive back home after a family emergency, we brought a vehicle in for just an oil change, letting them know we had a long drive ahead of us, and they made sure the vehicle was in good condition for the drive with some possible future heads up repairs. The whole staff there treated my family as if they were their family, and not just in their kindness, but also in their concern for our safety. I was shopping for trustworthy oil change locations and found A&Js through yelp. However since yelp is becoming unreliable, I decided to come thru and see if the shop was worth it. If quality service and friendly, knowledgeable staff is what serves you, A&Js auto repair is right for you. They changed my oil filter, checked my fluids, and made sure my car was in tip top shape. Reasonably priced too. The location is a little hidden but if you want a great one-stop shop, I highly recommend A&J Automotive Repair and Fleet Services. BTW the staff is awesome and this is family owned!

I found A&J Automotive Repair and Fleet Services through Groupon. I needed an oil change and A&J was offering one at a very good price. I called them and spoke with Jon, who was very helpful, informative, and friendly. He went through the various oil change options with me, and instead of trying to up-sell, told me what the bare minimum requirements were, and gave me the option to choose from there. I did not feel forced to purchase the more expensive oil change option (which is rare with automotive repair shops).I was able to schedule an appointment the next morning and upon bringing my car in on the day of my appointment, I was greeted by a friendly staff & even offered snacks/water during my wait. The front office was clean and organized. My oil change took about 30 minutes altogether, and I was good to go.I highly recommend A&J automotive repair to anyone looking for vehicle servicing.

I am writing this review on behalf of my husband. He took his car last week because it was overheating and they were able to get the car in and working within two days. Unfortunately, the car was still overheating and they took the car back in right away. They were able to fix the problem without having to replace the thermostat and lower radiator hose which saved us a lot of money. This place has awesome customer service and our affordable. We found out a new mechanic for sure.

I had my oil changed through A&J Automotive, and Adam and Jon were prompt, friendly, and extremely helpful, getting me back in my car in less than 50 minutes.In addition to the oil change they performed a thorough inspection of my vehicle and made recommendations without being pushy. They offer a maintenance service for regular oil changes and inspections ala preventative care for your vehicle, and the service program includes discounted parts and labor for future operations. Im still evaluating if the service is worth it for me, but Im happy with my visit and will be returning to A&J for future repair and maintenance needs!

Jon performed a transmission gasket, transmission oil and filter change on my jeep. Also a engine oil pan gasket, oil and filter change. Very knowledgable mechanics and friendly! Jon told me everything about my jeep and everything made sense. Friendly service, fast service and good prices!! My only complaint on my review is that they did not have beer and pizza, or lobster dinners in the waiting room. Thanks again A&J !!!

Clean professional auto repair shop with family atmosphere and great customer service.

I brought my 98 mustang in for a second opinion and they were able to pinpoint the exact problem. Another shop had suggested that a rattling noise was my rear end and i needed to replace multiple parts.....come to find out, Jon fixed my trunk latch, which fixed the rattling, my water pump, found that there was nothing wrong with my rear end, it was ALOT cheaper, and he was done in a day! My forever go to shop! Thanks guys! You are THE best!

Just got my oil changed this morning. Despite the cold waiting room and it taking 1 hr, the staff was very friendly and had a snack for the kids and TV. They even cleaned my headlights!! (they were awful!) They washed, dried and vacuumed my car too which was fabulous! Definitely going back.

Ive had issues with my audi a4 burning oil. Instead of charging me for tests, they looked at my car and told me there was an issue but it wasnt going to hurt my car and gave me a very reasonable quote in under an hour. When they changed my oil it cost me half the price of goodyear or napa. I highly recommend for every make and model. Good people and good prices.
