Clothing brands I love at prices I love even more. This place is great if your on a budget but want or like high end retail. Plus the stores are clean and staff is always friendly. Five stars in my book for sure!

The staff here at the Richardson location is absolutely impeccable. They are always so quick to help find things you are looking for and do so with a smile on their face. One young girl whose name began with a C (although I can’t quite remember her full name) greeted my right as I walked in the door the last time I was there. She helped me find what I needed, got me a fitting room, and then proceeded to help me out at the register. Overall, great staff and a bunch of hard workers!

Every time I’ve tried selling clothes, they keep the oldest/worn out things but return the newest and best name brand clothes (barely worn). It’s frustrating, I see clothes that are out of style, faded out and even torn on the racks but they don’t accept good quality clothes. I’ve tried multiple times but honestly it’s the same every time. Don’t sell your clothes here and dont shop here, the clothes on the racks are honestly mediocre.

Just stop in!! Promise you you won’t leave without a few really good deals! Love the Richardson location .... but they are all great places to shop for gently used name brand clothes !! Love ❤️

Drove 16 miles to come sell my clothes and barely made it at 5.it was first time so I walked the whole entrance carrying my heavy box because it was on the opposite side. Rude lady at front said she wouldn’t help me. Not sure why she couldn’t take me as the last buy.. When I arrived before 5 just when I set my items down it’s was 5 exactly.

Honestly I was kinda scared from reading some of the reviews but their Instagram looked very appealing so I had to go check them out! Staff greets you right at the door let’s you know of the deals and let’s you shop. Very well organized and lots to look at so I’ve been back another 3 times and it’s become the go to!

Very sad to see the close are not what they used to be. Alot of shirts have got to he thrown out, in my opinion. The prices are too high for the condition may as well go to Ross.

I bought a sweater from this place and there was a lighter in one of the zipper pockets, which was nice because free lighter and I lost a lighter that day and used that one so 5 stars.

When I was in town I forgot to pack an outfit for an event. This Uptown cheapskate had EXACTLY what I was looking for and I was helped quickly and with a smile. Perfect customer service!

WILL NOT BE BACK!i just brought a bag full of 43 pairs of jeans and 36 shirts. majority of them still brand new or worn once. i washed all the used clothes and folded them very neatly in a huge bag. they start placing the items on the counter and some woman who appeared to be a manager leaned in to the girl helping me and was whispering in her ear. the girl then says i’m sorry unfortunately we can’t take these can you take these home and run them through the wash there is an odor. i said “odor”? the “manager” said yeah i smelt it when she pulled it out the the bag. i advised i just washed the clothes and the “manager” said maybe it came from your car. i have NEVER felt so offended in my life. especially after i spent a hour washing drying and folding all of them just last night. these were american eagle, michael kors, nike, old navy, kenneth cole, very well known name brand clothing! but i will be taking these BRAND NEW clothes to a donation center for someone who actually needs them!

Its weird seeing a face mask sign walking in and seeing a lady talking to the cashiers without one. Why have the sign at all?

Great experience every time I go in there to sell or buy. I love this place and choose it over other similar places every time. The staff is super helpful and the check in process to sell is electronic and straighr forward.

Not super impressed with the staff and their sell picks. I’ve never had a good sell experience there and the clothing selection always seems to be a bit ratty and too used. Certainly better than Platos Closet but they may want to invest in some staff training.

Not the best location. The Allen location has more diversity it styles and sizes, much better choices out there... I saw literally the same pair of pants in the same size 5 times.

The place is very organized and you can find really great items for a good price. The attending at the fitting rooms was very helpful however not everyone is. Ms. Aubreigh in particular, was helping my godmother and I don’t think she noticed we were shopping together but she started to complain to one of her coworkers about a situation with my godmother. I had also asked for help and she completely stared at me as if nothing came out my mouth, not very helpful. I’ve worked retail before and I know we can all have tough days but not when customers are being nice! Maybe try a better location with better staff?

The place is nice but the staff girls are incredibly rude. They told me to stay in store while I waited to sell and bumped into me multiple times. When I sold some clothes they handed me ripped cash and when I asked for a whole bill the girl just stared me down as if I had done something wrong. Do not shop here!

Honestly the staff was very friendly! The selection was better than what you would see at a Platos Closet in my opinion. Clean and neatly organized. I came during the 70% off sale and it was definitely worth it. The regular priced items are fair and not too expensive or absurd. Ive been to thrift stores that priced old run down clothes at higher $$$

Do not sell your clothes here. Very unprofessional. Never called me but said they did. Then said they had the wrong phone number even though my drop off receipt had the right phone number.They ripped me off big time. Had already donated my clothes when I returned for my money. Out of 3 bags of clothes (and some still had tags on them) they only kept 6 for a total of $24. I promise there was at least $300 worth of very nice clothing and shoes in those bags. I will not return!!!!!

Small but good selection, however the mens section was riddled with womens clothing, so it made it a bit harder to shop through it.

Clean and good associates but the selection is not so great for guys. The brands are a little lacking and the prices feel higher than the Allen store.

Super cheap, great clothes. One of my favorite thrift shop hits. You can take $100 in and walk out with a new wardrobe. I have found many cute dresses for $6-$8. Even cute shoes. They also have a pretty good selection for guys which can be hard to find.

Yeah, it sucks that they usually wont buy ALL the clothes that you bring it, but I got $30 for clothes that I could have all taken to Goodwill. The clothes that they did not take I actually did donate. Great place! Way better than Platos Closet 100%

I always love going to uptown cheapskate. They have great choices and newer styles with thrift store prices. I just wish they had one closer to me!

I dropped off some mens suits and assorted shirts, khakis and jeans. The manager accepted all of my suits and most of the clothes; I was more than happy with the prices I received for my items and glad to have finally cleaned out my closet! Looking at the rest of the clothes for sale I saw that they are clean, fashionable and quite fairly priced-- Im definitely making this my first stop the next time Im looking for clothes.

Nice clothes at a reasonable price but absolutely horrible staff. Tried some jeans on that didnt work and was very rudely told where to place them. I waited at the counter for a good 3-5 minutes to be checked out while said rude employee continued to fold clothes and the other girl went to put clothes in the back, came out and grabbed another large sack of clothes and disappeared again. I get that it was 30 minutes before closing but come on!

Similar to Plato’s Closet or Clothes Mentor, but they are much more selective with the brands they buy and how much merchandise they put on the floor at one time. I loved how clean and spacious the store felt since the racks weren’t crowded at all, and they did have a really nice selection of women’s clothing, as well as a decent selection for guys. Only four stars though because they majority of the teenage employees were not very friendly, didn’t smile, and didn’t greet customers. Still, I walked away with two like-new pairs of American Eagle jeans, one pair of trendy sweat pants, and two nice shirts all for $84. I would go back.

I ALWAYS find good buys!!! Never disappointed. The staffs courteousness has improved. Overall, nice, clean, color arranged store. Dont forget to sign up for points and special storewide savings, as well as birthday deals.

The best of all the uptown’s! If you are going to sell, I would do so here versus Lewisville and mockingbird. The sales associates are sweet and take the time to truly go through your items unlike the other stores! Keep up the amazing work!

Last time, I brought in 4 nearly new, name brand (Chaps, Nautica), mens dress shirts. After 45 minutes without being called back, returned to desk where very surly clerk simply said we cannot take these and turned away to end conversation. Bet anything no one had looked at them...they were pristine.

Pretty cool place. Ive visited a few times here, but have yet to make a single purchase. Most of the items I have tried on were too big or too small. Smaller selection for men, but I think you might luck out finding something that will work for you.

Dont waste your time here. They will buy your stuff for dirt and then sell it clearly overpriced to be a second hand store. Not only that but the staff has no eye to recognize items. Brought a pair of new Keds snickers and she said no this are too worn, look at the suede girl, it is casual suede thats how it looks. She didnt even bother to look at the new soles. Again, dont waste your time... Better give your stuff to your friends and that way you end up with a better vibe ✌🏼

My daughter and I had a great experience, as always, clothes shopping at Richardsons Uptown Cheapskate. The associates are helpful and friendly.

I tried to stop by on a Sunday an hour and a forty five minutes before they closed. I was told they couldn’t go through my clothes because they had stopped taking them. Before I walked out, I saw on the door that it says they accept clothing up to an hour before close.I came by a few days later, I had about 5 name brand items that had been worn once at most. I was told that they weren’t current enough (they were last Spring).Seems like the employees that get hired don’t care.I won’t be coming back.

Vast selection for women, decent for men. You can even sell your clothes youre not wearing anymore to them. Staff is friendly and helpful.

2 young ladies answered my questions regarding selling clothing. Very professional, curteous, and efficient in their answers and assessment of my items. The items they were not interested in they recommended another store that would be. Sure enough, I was able to sell everything between Uptown and the other location. Thankyou ladies!! I will definitely visit here again!

I went in twice today - once to drop clothes off to see if they’d buy any, and again to pick up the clothes/money. I dealt with 2 different workers and both of them were very rude. I asked the first girl a question about the drop off process and she rolled her eyes at me, then gave me a short vague answer, to which I had to ask for clarification and was met with more bad attitude. Then, when I returned to the store, I walked up to the counter where a girl was working 4 feet away from me. I literally stood in front of her for more than 5 minutes, never once was I even acknowledged. Eventually she told the only other worker in the store that she could GO ON BREAK. Then, I said to her, “Can someone at least acknowledge that I’m standing here and let me know how much longer it will be?”She replied, “What were you waiting for?”I have shopped there two other times and while I was never offered anything resembling customer service, I at least didn’t feel that they were being intentionally rude. I won’t be back. There are way better stores, with better quality clothes at better prices that offer their customers respect and dignity.

Took them two hours to go through my bag and I brought branded, cute clothing and they only got two things and gave me $5 for it. Sad.

READ THE REVIEWS FIRST before coming here. Never have I felt so judged walking into a store. If you arent a young white woman, dont bother coming here. As soon as I walked in with my bag of clothes, you can tell I wasnt welcome. They took such a short amount of time that I was surprised when my name was called. I highly doubt they looked through my bag since I had multiple items that were current. They offered to take it for donation and since I didnt want to drive 20 minutes back home with the bag, I said yes. It felt like I asked for a million dollars because their attitude was incredible. Im giving you clothes and youre treating me this way? I regret leaving my clothes at this establishment. I utterly regret it, but Im moving and Im tired. Dont bother coming here. These women have disgusting attitudes.

Get lightly used clothing at an ok price still a bit much compared to a thrift but most clothes in good condition. Get money for your lightly used clothes.

Everyone there is nice and friendly, but, here was my experience... I called ahead to make sure they take the sort of things I want to bring in, get there, unload it all, set up that whole account thing, then wait for what they said would be 20 minutes. Fine... I end up waiting 30 minutes, never seeing anyone look at my stuff. In the meantime, I am seeing how high their prices are on everything, thinking well, ok, maybe I will get good money for my stuff. NOPE! After waiting longer than planned I finally made eye contact with one of the associates who just that instant said, maam, um...we cant take ANY of your items... WHAT?? They werent current enough she said. Are you kidding me? Really?? They are EXACTLY the same style/age as what you have priced to the moon in your store RIGHT NOW. Gawd, what a waste of time! How do they stay in business??

UPDATE: Went back to try and sell clothes and two brand new kate spade handbags. Checked in and they instantly began looking through my stuff. Waited about 10 minutes before they called my name. Went over to see my basket that I bought in was on the counter and noticed a few things missing. Usually they have the black bin with the items they want to buy on the counter so you can look. Nope, they had the black bin behind the counter and in the area where they keep the stuff they buy. Note, I havent confirmed I was selling the items yet. The employee said they would give me $72 in total for my items. Great. However, I wanted to see what items they were buying so I asked to see what was in the black bin. She seemed to be annoyed and got the bin. She sat it down and I saw a few clothing items inside but no handbags. I dug through it to see both handbags buried underneath the clothes. It was like they were trying to hide them. I took both out and asked how much they were giving me for both handbags. One for $27 and the other $30. WTF? Both are in excellent condition. One has the tags still on it. I decided to keep both and she seemed to get mad that I wasnt going to sell them. She popped off saying the large one she found online selling for $250 and they would sell it for $90. Then why would I want to sell it to them for $30 when I can sell it for $250 online? I understand they buy things for cheap but it is ridiculous how they buy name brand items when they have stains or holes in it and still want to sell it for $30. Never returning and do not recommend.

Walked right in and asked where their plus size stuff was, if it was mixed in or had its own section.The staffer, obviously uncomfortable, told me they didn’t have anything for plus size but they had up to 2x.I’m a 1x but I think it’s really shi*ty they don’t carry plus size clothing when there are brand names for those as well and there are a lot of plus size women out there.Decided not to stay and shop even though they did have things in my size, when to a different thrift shop.

Love this place. I always find great deals even when Im not looking to shop, just browse. The place is neat, organized and the staff are helpful. They have special discount days and points that can be used for future savings. Just a bit pricy compared to thrift stores but the clothes are in great condition.An added perk is the coffee shop right outside (Kung Fu). When in need of a break from trying on clothes, you can always sip something, relax and get back to shopping.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE Ive been in before...however...I walked in & LITERALLY had to ask the two girls at the front counter whether or not they Greet their Clients when they enter the store after rudely being ignored! I even walked through the store, sadly no interest in ensuring my business was welcome!!! I have a Retail Service & if I did this I would lose business. I will not be returning. They were to me, an example of how NOT to run a service oriented business!!!

Ive been to this location several times, both to buy and sell and have always had good luck! The employees are friendly and I always sell more items here than I do at Platos or Buffalo Exchange.

Terrible experience! Spent an hour rummafing through disorganized bins and racks of markdowns only to find items that were marked down, but shouldnt be according to the sales associate. Instead of honoring the marked price, was told the items would be regular price. Asked to speak to a manager, but was conveniently told, oh I am the manager by the teen at rhe register. Not a happy customer. Will never return to this location. The Mockingbird location is friendlier and do whatever it takes to keep their customers.

Is there a star lower than 1? Because If the employees at this location were mine, i’d yell at them “YOU’RE FIRED” I watched as they ignored a customer and walked away. Terrible. It was my first time going to a Thrift and i will tell you I WILL NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN. Do not spend money here. Trash Employees. Just plain trash.

Store is very clean and organized, feels a bit like a Ross or TJ Maxx in layout. The sell process was pretty quick, took about 30 minutes, offer was pretty low, but they have to make money and its better than sitting in my closet unused.

I sell stuff to Uptown a lot and I avoid this location as much as possible, but sometimes I cant help it. Once, I brought in $2500 worth of items (Tory burch, Lucky brand leather jackets, Kate Spade, etc) and I was offered $130. That is less than 10% of the MSRP, yet their website states you get roughly 10% back... I tried explaining this to the girl working, but apparently the concept of percentages was over her head. Another time, they shorted me $20 and I had to go back the next day to get it. Not that bad, just an annoying inconvenience. And then today....I brought in a Kate Spade and Michael kors purse. Both I had kept the original tags, care booklets and dust bags for each. She didnt buy either of the items because she could not authenticate them. Pretty sure that she couldnt authenticate them because she didnt even bother to look them up because it was an hour before closing. This location is just the worst. They employ girls that can barely read and write, and they have no desire to help it do their jobs properly. Lord forbid any of them even smile once in a while. The only positives are the bathrooms are always clean and the store is pretty organized and tidy. Otherwise, I will never go to this location again, Ive had it!!
