Bill the owner of Continental, says he has 40 years of experience, but clearly has no clue on how to politely service his clients or price out his product. He gave my parents a quote for new siding on their home in Michigan. He told them the product was the “top of the line” and valued at $400 a tile. After researching the product he sold them, turns out the tile truly priced out at $240 a tile. Over $150 more than it was worth. Not only did he overprice the product, to make matters worse... He was very disrespectful when confronted about it. He had the audacity to tell me he didn’t have to answer to me and hung up the phone. After speaking in person, he refused to address the reason behind the overcharge.Bill was unprofessional, disrespectful, and clearly either scum taking advantage of my older parents or just not knowledgeable about the product he is selling.
I use continental building exclusively for all my homes, as a landlord a reliable contractor that I can trust to do great work at an honest price is so very important, and Bill is the guy. I not only use him for my rentals but for my personal home as well. He is second to none!
We had our roof, siding and insulation updated by Bill and team and are very happy with the results. My aunt also used them for a new roof in 15 and was impressed how well they cleaned up and has had no problems with the work they completed.
Late last year (fall 2019), I contracted Continental Building Company to reroof my house to the tune of about $16K. They came out and reroofed the house in one day. Everything looked good. However, during the winter, part of the newly shingled roof started leaking. Improper flashing installation at the edge of the roof produced a negative slope on the last row of shingles that led to pooling water. The water ended up leaking into the house and causing damage to an interior wall. It took a number of phone calls on my part before the company came out to inspect and repair the roof. No offer was made to repair or pay for the interior damage caused by their improper roof installation.
We had some repair work on the front of the house. After a few scheduling problems, they came out and it appears they did a fine job. Thanks.
