Dex-Tech was able to complete an extensive engine replacement, working with us (from out of town) and other vendors to get parts and coordinate a extensive repair on our vehicle. They communicated a great deal with us and we appreciated all they did. It was not a cheap repair, but you get what you pay for.

Besides being too busy to get me in for engine diagnostics for several days, I cant complain at all. Got an appointment at 12:30. Got a call at 1:30 telling me what was wrong and the cost to repair. I was cruising on a successful test spin at 2:30. Cost was very reasonable. It was an easy repair, but difficult to diagnose. I was happy to see only $20 of labor went into replacing the part. I only know it was an easy replacement because my brother used to work in a garage. Could have easily pulled the wool over my eyes otherwise and that shows an honest business. I also Googled the part they installed, and it was maybe 30% more than market value. Thats fair. Staff was friendly and professional both on the phone and in person. Will definitely recommend them.

Had transmission maintenance done on my BMW. They had trouble getting the proper filter from their supplier but thats not Dex-Techs fault. They also gave the car a good lookover and found it to be in very good condition. They have given me renewed confidence in my vehicle. Dexter himself is very friendly and quite the enjoyable conversationalist. I highly recommend this shop to anyone needing proper service on your vehicle. 5 stars, definitely.

Check engine lights came on recently and I went and checked it myself and had an idea of the issue. Took the car in to Dex Tech and told them what was going on and they had it fixed up in no time at all! Customer service was awesome. Have had experiences at other shops where they talked down to me because I dont know much about cars so this was nice as they explained things but also made it understandable (without making me feel dumb). Price for the repair was much cheaper than expected too! If I need stuff done in the future Ill go back to Dex Tech for sure!

Horrible customer service. Guy who answers the phone has an attitude most of time. Usually doesnt return calls on quotes. When they do, they act offended when you have the audacity to call other places for quotes.Try Schafer in Frankenmuth. They have better prices, better customer service, and does outstanding work!

Dex- tech is very professional. He did an excellent job fixing my husbandstruck. Made an appointment and got everything that needed to be fixed right away.

Do with this information as you will, this is just the facts of the process.I called at around 11AM, they said they didn’t have any room until the following day but asked the problem of the car. I said that my rotors are shot and my break pads are probably going with it too. He then said okay, come bring it in because it isn’t safe. They had my estimate ready by around 2-3PM.Called them the next morning to start working on it at 8:30AM. Told me it would be done around 12PM, it was done at 12:30PM, very good time frame.I had purchased and had them install: 2 Rotor discs, 1 set of break pads. They also threw in a wheel alignment for me and inspected my tires. The total was $367.80 for my 2014 Chevy Cruze.They also spent time with me to explain why I should get new tires, and what’s going on with them. This company does not work with tires, so it was generous of them to give me that information.I like to give unbiased reviews so that you can decide whether or not this will work for you. I will say that I worked with Jay at Dex-Tech and he was very helpful. The company, in my eyes, lives up to the word of the reviews.Unless you find a company similar in labor time, cost, and customer service, I suggest going with Dex-Tech.

Dex and his crew are the best. I have taken my Envoy and Park Avenue to Dex Tech for repairs and would not go anywhere else. Work is done right the first time. The volume of service there speaks to their popularity. Despite being busy, they were able to accommodate me reasonably quickly and services were completed promptly once the problems were diagnosed (the infamous check engine light and other malfunctioning sensors). Prices were very fair, and associates were friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Trying to figure out whats going on with navigator

I got 4 different estimates on my vehicle for the same issue and this is the only place that gave me an estimate that was double, nearly triple the other estimates for the exact same job. I was disappointed only because the reviews say they are fairly priced when they clearly are not. I would always suggest getting multiple estimates to avoid being taken advantage of price wise. All the places I got reviews from were highly rated places so its not quality its simply price gouging at that point.

Always a pleasure dealing with this Service Center. This is my second visit and its always been great. They honored a estimate from 10 months ago which i appreciated. They didnt have to. Ive no doubt all TECHS are good at this place. Ive had Matthew both times and hes great. Very thorough, provides excellent advice and explains everything. Their prices are good as well. What great service! They found a coupon for their store on the floor of my car while servicing it and then told me about it before I paid so I could save money! Unheard of level of service.

These guys are experts. You get what you pay for with mechanics. Are they the cheapest place to get your car fixed? No. But when you go to them you know the exact issue will be fixed and it will be done right. They also do not fix things that dont need to be fixed. They are honest and experts.

I hate to leave a bad review, but I feel this warranted it. During the winter my wife brought my truck in to have it checked for low oil pressure and shuddering during acceleration. Due to being a high fall risk in the winter I was not able to do so. After about 30-40 minutes my wife was told the engine is bad but should be replaced and given a $5,000+ estimate to replace with a Jasper. They told her there is a misfire and oil was not making it to the upper half of the motor and it was only a matter of time before it failed she said. They said to drive it til it failed before replacing.2 Months later after the weather has improved and I was able to diagnose and review the issue myself I found that the misfire was a loose plug wire. Also for the oil pressure there was a Chevy bulletin regarding this issue for my model year stating an issue with an o-ring in the pick up tube for the oil pump which causes it to lose vacuum. The o-ring was a 4$ part plus my labor (free), oil, filter, and pan gasket which was at most 100$ total, I was able to restore oil pressure stop the ticking and restore the power to my truck and everything runs fine now.Bottom line is be careful on who you trust regardless of what their google reviews are which is why I went here. I saved my self at least $5k over their suggestions and fixed my issue for as much as they charged to incorrectly diagnose it.

Used to be a customer. You always hear about how a lot of mechanics are bad and untrustworthy, but honestly, most of the places Ive gone to were competent and fair on price except for this place. My experience didnt match the reviews. They were paid to do a job and neglected certain things and then charged to basically fix them even though they knew it was their fault. The experience was generally good but dealerships and chain places in this area have never nickel-and-dimed me as much as this place did. Say what you want about chain places but at least they have standards and less of a motivation to treat customers like money trees to pay their bills.

Had my vehicle towed to shop after I was given a quote from Jay over the phone. Once my vehicle arrived he wanted to charge an additional 100 bucks for a diagnostic fee that I was never told about on the phone. 513 quickly turned into 613 before he even looked at the vehicle. On the phone I told him I didnt have a lot of money to invest in a property that was for sale. He should have told me about the diagnostic fee up front. He said he didnt know the vehicle wouldnt start so the price went up. He knew my vehicle was being towed to his shop so Im confused to how he didnt know it wouldnt start. He wouldnt go down on the price, so I paid additional money to have my vehicle towed to Kam Rock who took care of me. Also, when I asked Jay for an estimate to have an alternator put in, he said no. He refused to give it to me. I asked why and he asked me why did I need one. I informed him that I wanted it and he refused. Im sure his tone changed once I arrived because I was an African American female. Ive been told that I sound Caucasian over the phone so maybe thats why he was nice then. I wouldnt recommend this place to young African American femaldidnt I just saw your response to my review and to prove that you are a liar, I will add another review with a picture of my receipt from the place you so call called. I dont care enough to lie about any business. My experience was my experience and you should feel ashamed for approaching me the way you have. CEL Light came on while taking kids to school on Monday, had it in to Dex-Tech on Wednesday at 12:30. Scan showed problem, had it completed and fixed by 2:00. Very friendly, straight forward, no BS repair shop. Hopefully I never need repairs again, but if I do they will be my go to place.

They have generally been quite helpful in the past, and are very understanding of ones (poor) college student status. SVSU students get a discount! They have referred me out to other local services when they cant get something done in a reasonable timeframe/price (welding a hole in an exhaust pipe).The only problem I had was a misdiagnoses that scared me. They claimed I had a transmission problem. I had a transmission guy in Bay City (way out off of Patterson rd) who assured me it was not. Ended up being a $50 fix, not $4000. I sincerely believe that they did the test they needed to, but perhaps didnt look enough into the problem to asses other reasons why it was doing what it was doing. They seem to be fairly busy all the time, so I gave them a benefit of the doubt.

I am always very satisfied with the price that I pay for the services that Dex Tech Center supplies to me. They have an excellent group of people working at the shop and I will continue to bring my car here whenever it needs its next repair.
