Enjoyed my experience here! The food was delicious, the wait wasn’t too long, and I love the layout of the place. I like how you can see into the kitchen while they are preparing food and the overall style of the space. I had their strawberry ricotta (very good), and my friends liked their Brekkie Sandwiches.
This place although very clean and updated decor was very underwhelming. The QR code took several minutes for it to finally work. Then some of the items on the menu were no longer served 🙄 so I settled for a Salmon on toast.... worst choice ever. I kept looking for the salmon which was hiding under a giant pile of pickled red onions, followed by some green vinegar goop.....my taste buds were shot for the day and I couldnt get the taste out of my mouth. On the other hand, staff was friendly...but didnt seem happy. Overpriced and over glorified place!
My boyfriend and I dropped by for breakfast last weekend! We’ve been to campos several times and enjoy the experience there. We really enjoyed their biscuits and gravy and the brekkie sandwich. Would definitely recommend to others. I was not such a big fan of the ricotta toast but that might just have been a personal preference.
Cool vibes and tasty coffee! I walked in and it makes you feel like you’re in a beach-side Californian cafe. I had the Athens Salad, Piccolo with oat milk, and a kombucha from Hans Kombucha. Atmosphere was the perfect place for a quick healthier lunch, a quick or not so quick catch up with a friend, or a place to nestle in for “WFH.” The staff was friendly and didn’t make you feel rushed but checked in and the perfect timing. Will come here again when I need to feel like I’m not really in Utah for about an hour 😆
I cant say nice enough on Campos. The atmosphere is stunning. The workers are very kind and accommodating. The place is perfect! The food and the coffee were positively AMAZING. Try some tasty new coffee its a fantastic place. The espresso is one of the most amazing espresso Ive ever had in sugar. They have a huge selection of mimosas to make brunch even better too! Their eggs Benedict is my particular favorite and the iced Australian coffees are such an outstanding treat.
Stopped by here today for the first time, I ordered a cappuccino with heavy cream and added shot, the coffee tasted extraordinarily great! I was very impressed as a coffee nerd. However, the only thing let me down is that the cocoa powder they use for topping has sugar in it. Which is a beautiful bonus and probably fine for most people, but I cant take sugar in my coffee itll get me headache, and personally I think that ruins the original coffee taste which is very high quality. When I asked the barista she explained to me friendly and made me a new one without the topping right away, I really appreciated that.Long story short, I wish they could at least give you a note that all coffee come with the sweet cocoa powder topping, so that the customers can decide whether they want it or not.Overall the quality of coffee, service, atmosphere everything was great, would love to come back again before leaving SLT.
I can’t say enough good things about Campos. The atmosphere is gorgeous. The staff is very kind and welcoming. Always makes a place even better 🥰The coffee and food are absolutely AMAZING. It’s a great spot to try some delicious new coffee. The espresso is some of the creamiest most wonderful espresso I’ve ever had. They have a huge variety of mimosas to make brunch that much better too! Their eggs Benedict is my personal go to & the Australian iced coffees are such an awesome treat.Campos is an all time favorite of mine & I can’t recommend it enough!@hhungryhhomies
Great place for breakfast, brunch, lunch or just coffee!I had the fig toast and is amazing!!! All the tables have power plugs so you can plug you phone or laptop.Service is great! They don’t bother you every 30 seconds, they let you enjoy and take time to eat.The decor is very modern. The place is really beautiful and clean! My kind of dream shop! Loved it!
The minimalist modern design is great. Overall I felt cashier service was friendlier and welcoming than servers. It was my first time visiting with my friends and the cashier helped us with recommendations and kept a positive attitude. Our experience with the server was all right but his attitude made us feel a little uncomfortable; maybe he wasnt having a good day but still~Overall I felt content with the food, drinks, place and most of the service. This place is amazing but I hope it doesnt go to waste due to service given that there are other reviews that complain about it.
Wonderful addition to downtown SLC coffee scene, especially for “coffee foodies”. We originally intended to just grab a cup to go and loved the vibe so stayed for breakfast which was great. They have flights which allow you to try the same coffee bean prepared 3 different ways. Persimmon and ricotta toast with hazelnuts and balsamic reduction was a perfect blend of sweet and savory. Veggie burger had the best thin sliced pickles which gave it a unique flavor and the fries (breakfast fries? Lol) were perfect. A tad pricey, but given the mission of the company, “Quality Coffee Cultivated by Good,” worth it for us.
Campos Coffee Roastery & Kitchen is incredible!!! Staff was friendly and welcoming. The coffee is great. Let me tell you about the Eggs Benedict........the heavens open as this descends upon your tastebuds. There is this beautiful balance of textures and flavors. Crispy toast, soft salty prosciutto, and the smooth silky poached egg topped with a buttery abundance of hollandaise sauce and garnish. It took me to another place! BEST Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had!!! My hats off to this place and I will return again and again and again.
The atmosphere is so good and fancy interior really lifts up your mood. Came here for Saturday brunch and there were so many people... There are spots for peoples with laptop with plugs. Loved that I could enjoy the cup of excellence with great price!! (I think it was only $6 for a cup of drip coffee) Worth trying it and would like to try other beans later!!
I have found my new favorite place of all time, I would love to give them 10 stars if I could. As a restaurant, as a coffee shop, or as a coffee roaster, Campos had the highest quality of any place we have been to and has now become my favorite stop in Utah. Not only is the decor of the highest quality but the modern industrial feel of the space just made it a great place to hang out and enjoy the experience. Now to the food....we chose to enjoy the biscuits and gravy and the summer shrimp toast. The shrimp toast was incredibly delicious, light and summery, the perfect combination of a salty sourdough with Avacado spread and a sweet peach topping with vinegarette. But the biscuits and gravy, let me tell you, I love biscuits and Im a big fan of gravy, Campos is without a doubt my number one when it comes to their biscuits. I have never had a biscuit that was more soft and moist on the inside while having a beautifully crisp and buttery crunch on the outside. The gravy was an amazing blend of sausage and spices that created the best flavor I could have imagined. The entire ensemble was simply phenomenal. Thats not even getting to how tasty the coffee is, I highly recommend their specialty of the Australian Coffee, its made with ice cream!!
Campos is a terrific place for coffee and food! I recentky visited the downtown area and was able to grab some coffee and I forgot how much I missed this place. The restaurant was very clean and open for dine in, while adhering to COVID Guidelines and the staff is super nice. I ordered the Australian Iced Coffee and it was delicious! They have a variety of different coffees, small plates, and entrees with top notch recipes. Cant wait to go back and would definitely recommend for anyone that loves food!
What a gorgeous and useful space! The interior of this restaurant is honestly amazing. Unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired, which is a shame because the prices are definitely on the higher end. Our table tried the eggs Benedict, the Muesli, and the pulled pork. Of the three, only the pulled pork was alright. But it still wasnt good. Sad to say, but the other two meals were bad. Probably wont be returning to Campos, unless its just for coffee. Even then, that is kind of not worth it.
A very good coffee shop and restaurant with a focus on service. I love coming here and I always feel welcome.Only one thing that keep me from putting it on five stars, a sadly common occurrence in the city. Theyre only open until 1500, something that I have yet to understand and dont particularly want to. But if you have the time free and want to walk off the main downtown strip, Campos is an excellent place to start.I would recommend their Chai, which is made from a zero sugar powder and not from concentrate, and their Essential Toast.
This was the best meal we had in SLC. Many new American breakfast places often serve inventively looking food but they usually taste mediocre, but not Campos. I took my parents and sister there for breakfast on an early Friday morning around 10 am. We sat down and ordered drinks. Saw the picture of the Coffee Flight online and I must order it. It did not disappoint. My favorite of the three was the Piccolo Affogato, so rich and satisfying. The food we had didnt disappoint either. I had the BLAT, the avocado and the thick cut bacon were definitely the highlights of the dish. The Egg Benedict was served with Speck rather than traditional Canadian bacon, and it definitely had an enhanced rich flavor because of the ham. The Superfood Bowl was also great with fresh berry and a good portion of berry sorbet, which was refreshing. The Shrimp and Grits were rich and flavorful. All in all, it was a great and delightful end to our Utah vacation at Campos before we hopped on the flight to fly back home.
This place is awesome! Its a little taste of authentic Australian cafe culture, just like home. The espresso is wonderful, the food is great. Plus they serve babychinos! We had smashed avo and eggs Benedict (👌 hollandaise). The staff were lovely and super attentive. This is going to be a regular haunt for us from now on!
Amazing place!! A full service resturant with super friendly staff, amazing food and espresso! The vibe of the place was very clean, modern, and open, with lots of plants and really classy decor. I especially adored their blueberry Danish and their avocado toast was absolutely to die for. I hope that at some point during my stay in salt lake I get to return! Highly recommend any of their espresso drinks or the white tea as well. (Cant quite remember the name of it. Perhaps silver needle? Something like that.)
I loved this restaurant! The whole atmosphere was well designed and the coffee was delicious. The attention to detail was apparent throughout the restaurant. Service was very attentive and I had a great time at this breakfast spot. Everything was also very clean and neat which is always appreciated at a place that handles food. Get the avocado toast, its amazing.
They were pretty busy when we went. The service was friendly. Didnt order coffee, so I cant speak the quality of that, but the food was good. The portions were a tad bit smaller than I expected. Nice flavor.
First time and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of everything we had! The toasts were so well balanced and full of flavor!! The coffee though..... I tell you was the best in the valley Ive had!
The coffee is very very good and they have some talented barristas. It clearly looks like that they put in a lot of effort in providing quality fare. Yet for me somehow, the place feels a little commercial. In my visits I have felt a machine working efficiently rather than a warm human touch; may I dare say the interactions have been cold. Nonetheless that could just be me. It still deserves full rating for its exceptional coffee and attractive food offerings.
Only had coffee, but man was it good. It was my first time there on Sunday and I looked them up after seeing one of their coffees winning an award on a website. I live in Sandy, so Im not as aware of some of whats downtown. I could see that they use a La Marzocco machine which is the best there is, so I figured they take the coffee pretty seriously and they do. It was some of the smoothest most flavorful coffee Ive had anywhere. Definitely going back!
Lovely atmosphere and great service. The food was tasty and good pricing. Made me feel like I was back in California again.
Had a wonderful lunch there. i had the Essential Toast and my wife had the Athena Salad and both were excellent. The coffee was even better. I had a fantastic cappucino with lunch and went back for drip coffee this AM. i am a big coffee drinker and the coffee drinks were some of the best coffee drinks Ive ever had. I will be looking for an excuse to get to Salt Lake City in the future simply so I can go to this place. It was fantastic!
Came in for a visit around lunchtime on the 4th of July and the place was packed, which considering how hidden and off the beaten path it is, is quite amazing.First impression as you walk in is the beautiful buildout and design of an old building that has been given new life. Simply beautiful and extremely satisfying to be in this environment.Staff is unreal, really....we had 5 servers interact with us and an empty plate never lasted more than 45 seconds on the table before it was swooped up. Everyone was super friendly and genuinely kind to our children.Food was flavorful, creative and beautiful. Supper excited to have Campos in the neighborhood!
I don’t even need to get flavors in my lattes. I truly just trust that whatever I order will be delicious. Plus, this has got to be one of the cutest cafes salt lake has to offer
Biscuit and sausage gravy was the best I’ve had in Utah. Looking forward to coming back
The next breakfast sandwich Ive ever had!! Delicious coffee. Friendly staff. Fun & chill vibe
Stopped by this place today and had a a nice nostalgic experience, feeding off of the Australian vibe it has. No guarantee you’ll have it, though! They don’t bleed Australia, but their business model definitely reminded me of the down under. Coffee; black; pour overs; I had a special Campos blend of Ethiopian and Geisha (panama). It was excellent! The entire staff was very friendly and personable. The space is still under some light construction, but it doesn’t take away from the experience at all. I wish I would be around to see the finished product (roof area). This company obviously has big plans here, and I think they will do great. I didn’t try any of the food, but from what I observed it seemed to fit the profile of upscale snacks / light lunch items that you would expect from a third wave coffee shop. They definitely have more food options than most; so feel free to stop here for lunch! Being in the third wave coffee market, my criticism is that they only have one bean to offer for a pour over. They say this will change often. I would say after visiting many of the coffee shops there in SLC, they should provide at least 2-3 options. They use a programmable pour over system, do I’d imagine its not a problem to load more than one recipe in the system at a time. I will definitely return when I come back to SLC!
This was mine and my cousins first visit here. Started off a little awkward but Hilary really did everything she could to make our experience here wonderful! She was an absolute delight and would definitely come here again.
The food was unique and amazing! Delicious coffee. The atmosphere was so pleasant and bright.
Maybe this one is on me...but all my face masks were broken and they didn’t have extra ones (and wouldn’t serve me).I totally understand refusal of service if I were unwilling to wear a mask in their shop but that wasn’t the case at all. The barista thought she could get away with being rude because of her Australian accent but my caffeine fix will be from somewhere else.
Make a stop here for sure. Great coffee and sandwiches. I enjoyed the mushroom sandwich. Good job!
First class coffee and breakfast. Arguably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have had in my life. Its refreshing to have the Australian coffee scene brought to the US, as Australians take their coffee and breakie seriously. Had I known this gem was here earlier I would have come here more often.Excellent service, excellent coffee, eggcellent breakfast options. The entire location is a great atmosphere to relax or meet with friends or business associates.
I visited Salt lake city from Seattle. As infamous seattle is for its coffee, the coffee from this cafe is totally worth it.I took some beans back to Seattle, and the officer at salt lake city airport sniffed my coffee beans for a TSA check, and said this smells like a really good coffee. Enjoy!
So many positives with this place! Love their efforts to help the environment by using eco friendly to-go packaging. I had the matcha latte with oat milk and essential avocado toast- both so delicious! They’re also making sure to follow proper precautions to the pandemic while being able to give exceptional customer service! Will definitely be back!
Update: the avo toast has shrunk and Im on visit 3 and the quality and service has went down each time. Coffee is still amazing but not feeling the love like before. I sat for 20 mins and then went up to the bar to order.Original post: Avocado toast to die for! Amazing coffee that you can drink black and not cringe. Id say best in state!
Really cool, vibe-y spot to great coffee and work. Really friendly staff!
The wait staff and atmosphere was so friendly and my meal + coffee was fantastic considering the reasonable prices. ordered the mushroom toast and savored every bite
Came here with my friend based on a recommendation from one of my Lyft drivers. Originally we came for coffee but we ended up ordering food. The coffee was delicious and came in fun glassware. Mine also came with a paper straw! My friend ordered the Superfood Bowl which was delicious and very refreshing. I ordered the burger with an egg and the Beyond Meat Patty. (So excited they had this option, because I hadnt tried it yet and it was everything I had hoped!) The burger was incredible! The fries were just okay--would have maybe liked seasoning or something on them. This place was very busy (we came in late Saturday morning) but had a great atmosphere. Food didnt take very long. I love the design, very industrial and open. This place is pricy, but we will definitely be coming back again and recommending to others!
Their banana oatmeal milk shake is amazing. Love it love it love it
Great food and great coffee! What else could you want?
Felt a strong need to leave this 5 start review. They don’t have hot drinks for delivery options. However they made them for me at request in my notes along with a very thoughtful note. The coffee was nothing short of exquisite and the note went above and beyond. This is an example of a 5 star business
Love this place! Very good.
I recently moved downtown and have been on a matcha tea mission. Campos has the best matcha in the city and I’ve tried A LOT! Service was great, atmosphere was inviting, and I’ll be back to try the food menu. One of Salt Lake City’s hidden gems💎
What a beautiful little hole in the wall. Great customer service and a wonderful find. Both food and drink were absolutely exceptional. The food was fresh, handcrafted, and colorful. I reccomend the affogato and the fried pork sandwich.
Lovely chill environment. Great coffee, breakfast and staff too :)
Adorable hole in the wall location. Staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond. Wait times are necessary for the quality they deliver. I ordered a honey whipped latte and it was perfect. One of the best roasters in Salt Lake.
Amazing oat milk latte...One of the best I’ve had. (And I live in Seattle!)
Super cool atmosphere, great location, professional staff, great espresso!! Will be back
Coffee was great, but their I was extremely disappointed with their salad. $10 for a hand full of kale and 1oz of beats and some seasoning.
The place is cool, but it was the worse iced mocha I’ve ever had. The chocolate was bitter and it seemed very chalky.
Excellent coffee selection, great breakfast sandwiches, nice modern decor.
Excellent coffees and smoothie. I wont forget this well put together place
Had an egg breakfast sandwich, would highly recommend.
Overall good experience. Great customer service, really neat shop, good set up for ordering during the pandemic (I cant wait to go inside after covid19). My one complaint is that they put cinnamon in my drink when I didnt ever mention wanting cinnamon to top it off. Now, I have a great aversion to cinnamon... BUT if I was allergic Id be rather angry. So I left with great food and a drink that WOULD HAVE been great, if they were to ask me if I wanted cinnamon. I didnt know that putting cinnamon in drinks without asking is a normal thing for cafes to do. Ive always been asked first at other cafes. Moral of the story, state your drink preferences before they make your drink. Other than that, I give it 4 stars.
A favorite evening place of mine. i will probably become a regular. the place has a nice feel to it. menu is similar to a restaurant in el paso i liked.
Great location to meet with friends. Bring your hunger - portions are generous. I see why this place has a lot of positive reviews.
Some of the best coffee Ive had.
Cool decor good food good service but the smell ! There is this old sewage smell worse in the bathroom . Really hard to have an appetite with that smell
The best specialty coffee shop in downtown SLC. Excellent roasts of coffee, friendly staff and a super modern and gorgeous location.
