Amazing experience! Everything was perfect. I went with my friend for brunch. The food was really good. I had the breakfast burrito. It was really good, but I wish it had more veggie inside it where it was just eggs and beans. The potatoes were really amazing. My friend had the chicken with biscuits and they were amazing. One thing is that they only open on weekends. I h to go and tries the other dishes on the menu.
Came here for the first time and enjoyed the live music and aesthetic. However, the service is subpar. Had to flag our server multiple times to get drinks and seeing our server take smoke breaks out front then *without sanitizing* handling food. Not the best experience.
What a turn off when the host, who is the first face of the establishment, doesn’t greet you and gives major attitude. I walked in and quickly was asked to give a temp, which I am grateful for considering the pandemic. We were quickly seated and moments later the host brings glasses. I noticed my glass wasn’t clean as there was some sort of film or residue inside the glass. The host noticed and asked if something was wrong. I mentioned the glass was dirty. She took the glass and walked back to the service area and proceeded to show the glass to other coworkers. She returned with a glass. I said thank you and she ignored me. I tried asking if everything was okay as she started walking away and she turned scowled and walked away ignoring me. I got up immediately and decided to go to another establishment. What an unfortunate experience as this place came highly recommended. I hear they have freshly squeezed orange juice and great food. This place has high ratings. I did see a review indicating that service had been weird lately. I definitely got a bad taste by the first impression, the host. Maybe the host was offended that I asked what temperature I had? Maybe she was having a bad day. On the way out another staff, not sure their role, asked if everything was okay and they took the time to hear me out which I appreciated I didn’t give one star because the place looks cool and I didn’t get a chance to try the food. Maybe I will in future if that host isn’t there.
Trendy atmosphere, friendly staff. The wait was quite long, which I wont hold against them since I do understand that theres limited capacity due to covid, it was a weekend, and valentines day nonetheless. My one critical point would be the temperature of my food. It was frankly, cold. The flavors were good. Id certainly give it another try at a less busy time.
Someone in Twitter recommended this place. Came from Sunday brunch at 10 am - walked right in and was sat immediately.I went with the chicken and biscuits with gravy, potatoes and egg.The gravy was tasty - but I was expecting fried chicken and I don’t know if the breading came off or what but it was more like grilled chicken instead and therefore 4 instead of 5 stars.Potatoes were crispy and the biscuit was ok.
So happy to have this spot back in the neighborhood! The staff is amazing, the food tastes incredible and the new design has a great vibe.
Excellent service and food. I am vegan and finding good places for me to eat can be difficult. I had the vegan hash and it was perfect! My husband who is not had the French toast and he said it was delicious as well. If we are ever in the area again this will be a must stop for us! Thank you for having tasty options that meet my needs!!! I highly recommend this place!
Possibly the best breakfast restaurant in Utah or possibly the USA!! We arrived on a Sat am at 10am and had to wait a while for table availability as they were packed! The waitress was friendly and quick with refills! A big up to the kitchen for getting the food out quick! I had the Asian Pork Belly breakfast bowl which was superb! My wife enjoyed the pancakes which were huge and became my dessert👌. Overall fantastic breakfast experience!!!
Had the fried chicken and biscuits. So delicious. Very friendly staff. Made me feel very welcomed. Our waitress Cass was amazing. She was very busy and yet she was very attentive to my family and I. We came here for brunch and after talking about the menu with her, Im looking forward to coming by dinner. It was our first time and because of her we will be coming back.
The whisky maple syrup is amazing! And the food is quite delicious as well. Its 21 and over, so dont try to take your nine kids to breakfast with you though.
This place does it right. Awesome staff! Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in picking “the perfect meal” and she nailed it 😎
Sadly disappointed. I typically brush off poor dining experiences, but I had really high hopes. Unfortunately most of them fell short. First, my vegan hash that was served in a skillet, was cool. Certainly not room temperature or hot. Veggies were soggy, so if you’re expecting a crispy potato hash, look elsewhere. The service was okay. Server was kind but forgot my grapefruit juice and the egg on my husband’s burger. Burger and fries looked fast food/generic with white cheese and green chiles. No fluffy bun, basic/bland fries. Other server that brought out our food was condescending to my husband. They asked if we’d like ketchup and then never brought it out. I will say the restaurant interior is stunning and the juice I finally received was delicious. My husband enjoyed the patty of the burger. Hopefully future guests have a better experience.
Love that they have Friday brunch. Food was delicious. The staff was OUTSTANDING! Everyone was so friendly. Well be back.
Cute little place serving brunch on Fridays. They are going to close for rebranding and remodeling. I hope theyre as cool when they reopen
Great food that was what my vegan daughter loves. Had the bowls. About a 20 minute wait on palm sunday, not bad. Great coffee with fun milk bottle cream containers. Waitress was extremely friendly and attentive to our table. The best part was the homemade rye bread.
Beautiful down to earth atmosphere, kind wait staff, amazing food. Severely recommend this place for people who love brunch and good food. (Brioche french toast is heavenly)
So it didnt open until 9:00 but the door was unlocked at 8:45 and they let us come in and sit down. The breakfast was great, and the atmosphere and design were awesome too. Someone or some people had and thought through ALL the details because it was awesome. From the pictures, to the layout and design, the menus and the napkins--fabulous. Now, that being said, the girl that served us was good and professional, but she seemed bugged. Maybe a coworker was late, there was another girl that showed up a little bit after opening so maybe they were short-handed because it seemed like she was the only server for a while...But overall awesome.
Unique spin on American dishes. Good vegetarian options. Small portions but high quality, feels just a tiny bit overpriced but typical for downtown. The cocktails are the best thing about this place. Underwhelming atmosphere but good for more casual dates. Staff is really friendly. Menu seems to change a lot.
Kitschy downtown diner. Food was above average and on the unique side, lovely linens and glassware. I ordered the mushroom toast and a gin.Went here for the entertainment, they were amazing. Great space for live music. Support local talent! The service is why it has 4 stars, wish I could give this cute place 5 but the service was pretty slow (I think she forgot about us cause she took forever to get our order). Dont worry though, Ill come back someday and give it another shot.
Good food. Nice staff.
Wonderful service! We had grapefruit juice, a dirty chai, the vegan hash, and the French toast. Super tasty! Cool space!
Had the best brunch here! Our server was Melissa I believe and she was so nice and attentive, as were all the employees that helped us out! Will definitely be coming back!
Tasty food, but the apple fritter didnt have any apple in it and was about 25% normal size.
First and foremost: Have your ID. They got their liquor license so it’s now required. For food, the potatoes and eggs were kind of cold when served, which is rather unfortunate bc they looked great. Now the French toast, EXCELLENT; some of the best I’ve had. The lemon and poppyseed curd on the side was absolute perfection.
Delicious brunch place!! Wait was about 30 minutes on a Sunday around noon. Parking is mostly street parking, not a ton of parking in the back of the restaurant. Temperature checks to make sure everyone is healthy, which I appreciate. Staff was wonderful & gave the best recommendations! Food was delicious! A little more pricy brunch, but worth going. Grapefruit mimosas were really good!
To start, it was hard to focus on anything with how uncomfortable the chairs are. I even went as far as looking under the chair to determine the company to complain to that created such a bad chair, I did not find a brand, they are very low end. Sit in a booth if you go.Back to Rye as a whole, they have a cheap industrial vibe. Their coffee was okay. Adding vegetarian sausage to a dish cost $4, which I feel is a little steep. The service was painfully slow. Other then that, they are good. Love the waffles
I was really excited to go here. Really liked it when we got there. Even though food was good. Waitress was a bit grumpy to all, but we shrugged it off as she was just having a bad day or something. And still tipped her well. But then at the end there was a certain incident with the waitress. We will not be back if shes working there. I will not subject my friends to that kind of disrespect again.
The Rye is one of our favorite spots in downtown!Thefood is good. The interior is well-designed. The place is clean (esp the restroom). And most of all, they have great customer service.Theres a few parking spots infornt of the resto but you can also park on the side street for access and just walk a bit. They also have a You are safe here sign on their window which I absolutely love! 💙
Love this place. I feel like I should visit it more often! Always get the breakfast bowl which has yummy pork belly, sunny side up egg, and kimchi in it--sounds simple yet very delicious. Chill vibe!
Brighton was an excellent server. Food was delicious. Such a fun place for brunch and worth the wait. Staff was attentive and friendly.
Not bad, not great. Food was ok, coffee was ok. Nothing special.Kind of expecting more. Strange that they open and check your ID for entry, but are not allowed to serve alcohol until later in the morning. Their general theme appears to be breakfast bar. Breakfast and whiskey at a nice place was kind of what I was looking for, but they couldnt do that. My advice, if youd like a bloody mary or what not with your breakfast then come in after they can serve alcohol.
Food was great and came out quickly, but holy hell the wait was unbearable to get seated. Made even worse by the fact that the host had forgotten to take my name down when I reserved my spot in what was claimed to be a 20-25 minute wait. I realized after three families had come in after my reservation for 2, and gotten seated before me, that something was up. The host asked me to remind her what my name does (presumably because she noticed Id been waiting nearly an hour), THEN wrote it down. So all that waiting had been for nothing because she forgot to write it down when I initially came in .. ruined my mood.
One of my favorite brunch places! Always fresh and tasty. The menu is simple yet interesting and everything I’ve tried ends up being even tastier than I expected.
Food is overpriced and mediocre at best. Ordered take out: chicken and biscuits with gravy. Biscuits felt like pucks, chicken was small filet with more breading than chicken. Gravy was okay but lacking real flavor, could have made this at home. Potatoes were just terrible. Small fried cubes that lack anything resembling flavor except garlic. Just bland garlic cubes. Added an avocado for few dollars more and got half of a small avocado that wasnt even ripe, like eating a melon. Oh then when completing my order they charged me for ketchup. So I was thinking it was some house made ketchup. Nope, just 2 ketchup packets like I went to McDonalds except $1 more. Wanted orange juice but it was $4 for 8 ounces! A can of soda is 12 ounces, but apparently this fruit is from the Garden of Eden. This seems like a restaurant that tries to resemble a new spin on dining with a wide array of choice on the menu only to find out it is an overpriced meals with a paucity of taste. Not worth it.
Food was amazing, but service was a little lacking. Im assuming they were just super busy though.
Love the food. Service is usually amazing. Its been a little weird lately, but the food is still great, and they are taking all the necessary precautions to keep people safe. Quick seating, good service, great food, really fun aesthetic. Lots of good vegetarian options as well!
I love to come here on Wednesdays as they give some if their proceeds to a local charity. Amazing food! Ordered the brussel sprouts, they were tangy and tasty. Kim chi queso (pictured) was amazing, my new favorite app, it also came with home made chips, its a must try. Entrees were the califlower tacos and duck tacos the tacos were so delicious and filling! Service was top notch! Nice vibe and great layout.
Met a good friend for brunch, but Im allergic to eggs (never fun at any breakfast spot) - so, I ended up ordering the Vegan Hash. Im not a vegan, so I did not have high expectations.... Wrong. It was delicious! Lots of garlic and flavor and it was all cooked perfectly. Nice vibe, pleasant waitress. Next time Ill see if they can throw sausage in it...
Excellent place for delicious Asian food. service is prompt even when they are busy. nothing but great experiences here. this place has a cool feel to it.
The vegan hash with vegan sausage was delicious. The curbside pickup on a Saturday for brunch was not organized. I waited in my car for over 15 minutes and had to call 2 times to remind them I was there. The employee I spoke to seemed frazzled.
Great spot for delicious asian food. Had a sister come into town and asked me to take her here again. The prices are fair for the quality of food. Makes me feel like I in Nashville again.
Ordered poppy seed and lemon curd french toast, but the server failed to tell us that they didnt have the poppy seed and lemon curd part, so they served us plain, unseasoned French toast (literally just egg and bread, no cinnamon, nothin, with only syrup on the side). When I asked about the lemon curd, the server said they were out. Why even serve a dish that lacks the titular ingredient? Why offer no alternative? Why not inform us there was no lemon curd? We also got the fried chicken and biscuits, and it was amazing. Well def give Rye a second chance as the menu and ambiance were nice, but we were deeply disappointed about a major, avoidable omission that seemed willful on the part of the server. Its so insulting that the server apparently thought we wouldnt notice or wouldnt say anything. Please be better. We really wanna love Rye.
Honestly some of the rudest and worst customer service I’ve experienced
Fine spot for asian food. Got there about two, it was not packed. There was fast and courteous service. The place has a cool feel to it.
I’m not dining at a place that requires to scan and record my drivers license for breakfast. Ridiculous request
Asian food and the feeling here is quality. Visited at eight, it was not full. Definitely worth a return trip.
A top scene for Asian food. Got there about two, it was not packed. This place has a good atmosphere.
Delicious brunch! The breakfast burrito was incredible and the chicken and biscuits were yummy. Next time.we wont order the fritter waffle as it was really burnt and charcoal like, but that was not consistent with the other food. The entrees were delicious!
Such a great brunch joint
This was definitely not financially worth it. I’m not sure how their brunch is, but dinner was over priced and incredibly small servings. I’d be more understanding if the food tasted good, but we found bones im the duck tacos and everything else we tried tasted “off.” My husband and friends all tried each other’s food and agreed it wasn’t good. The only thing that was good was the fries and the server. They should find a better place to work.
Overpriced for what you get. Nothing special about the place. Breakfast burrito is like 14 dollars if you want meat lol.
My first time at Rye was for breakfast. I went pretty basic and got the eggs, bacon and toast. There was an option for avocado instead of bacon as well as other plant-based options for other options on the menu. I’ll get more adventurous next time. The OJ was incredibly tiny, so I don’t recommend that but if that’s my only complaint, that’s not bad.The vibe in Rye was pretty cool and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to eat there again. The waitstaff was attentive and efficient.
Great food and small plates! Friendly service. Rarely a long wait to be seated. Parking sucks, but that’s typical for this part of town.
When your friends say Rye? You should say Rye not???This place has it all; and by all I mean breakfast AND lunch. They have the classics like eggs and bacon, but then they get a bit crazy and say what if we took a thicker cut of bacon and slapped it between two buns - thats where the pork belly sandwich comes in.I had this bad boy and it was great! The bread was crispity crunchy and the pork belly was soft and succulent. The fries topped it off on the side with shoe string cut that were delightful. The atmosphere cant get too much more hipster or else youd be in San Francisco, but its nice and clean. Makes you feel at home in a barn. Like not a real barn, but you know how some people have a lot of rustic in their home? Maybe a sliding door thats a sliding barn door - thats what I mean.Come here for the good food and they do something next door for music or something, I dont remember. I was too much into the food.
Love that they offer vegan options. I had the Vegan hash it was absolutely delicious. My friend had one of the soft egg scrambles an fully enjoyed it as well. Small parking area located in the front and back make it easily accessible. The food is higher in price but definitely worth it.
Great stop for brunch. A little busy but worth the wait. Great vegan options extremely friendly staff.
We’ve only been here once and the food was cold and bland. We have a gift card to try it again and will update review then!
Cool place with great food and drink. Had the kimchi bowl with pork belly and it was fantastic! I would definitely come back if i were ever in town again!
Awful service, very rude people and bad vibes
I had brunch here a couple times. The staff is really friendly and funny. They were willing to accommodate any and all weird requests that I had for my food. The food feels healthy, but also tastes really great. Their bacon is delicious, its a lot thicker than most places which some people like and some people hate, but I feel like you can never get too much bacon.
One of my favorite brunch places, especially if you like breakfast bowls. Good drink selection and always excellent food. Be prepared to wait, but I promise its worth it.
Great place for brunch! I like that they have something for everybody. I had waffles, pancakes, and french toast and I loved all of them (even if my favorites were the waffles)! My husband had different breakfast bowls and he really liked those too. Everything is really filling and the service is amazing! Its fast even on Saturday/Sunday morning!
