Super awesome shopping center full of excellent goodies from Korea. I briefly stopped here for the parfume store inside but look forward to going back next time Im in San Diego. A deffinite must stop store. There is a food court, huge grocery store and many many other smaller stores that are worth stopping for.
Got my third covid shot at the pharmacy. Great French pastry shop inside, too. Didnt do anything else.
Great place to get Korean staples and novelties. Also has the best selections or fish and specialty beef and pork like bones and blood
Very large store. If memory recalls I think this used to be a KMart or Sears. Anyway, great selection of Asian foods. Fresh and packaged. Know what you are getting because I noticed some of the packages of foods were not in English. I will look forward to shopping here again. They also have mini restaurants inside cooking up fresh food. Cashier I had was very nice and friendly. The store is worth a visit.
Some of the best deals in the city for common goods such as cage free eggs, vegetables, and fruits. The Asian selection is amazing, including all the things you need to cook, Korean, Chinese, and vietnamese food.
Very good market for Asian food items and products. There is a lot of parking, wide aisles, and, generally, fairly fast check out times. There are also several small food vendors with a good variety of tasty Asian (mainly Korean) food.
I am Native American, but I love Zion Market! Every time I go in there, my partner has to drag me out because I want to buy everything on the shelves. The funny thing is that I have no idea what half the products are or how to cook them. That doesnt stop me from coming out of there with $40+ bucks in groceries. Thank goodness for YouTube. I backpacked through Asia for a couple of years ago and loved everything I ate. In the whole time I was there the only time I saw obese people was when I came across non-Asians. Once I find out what it is and how its used I go nuts creating my own dishes. Food, Good Food, is one of the few affordable pleasures I can afford.
Great find for Korean food supplies such as sauces, oils, spices, etc. The best.
This place is the best. Even if you dont like korean food, the fruits are perfect, the fish and seafood are in a very very good price. Even the kitchen stuff like wok and other things are in an incredible price. I simply love it. My husband and I have been shopping there for over 2 months now.. and all the fruits are execellent and everything else. We have saved some money there. It is a very good place to go shopping.
Great for hard-to-find or ethnic foods.Check out the seafood! Large selection of fresh and frozen items at a good price. They have whole fish in addition to fillets.Produce is generally cheaper than other stores. And of course, huge variety and very fresh.Great little food court too.
I go to Zion Market and Im basically just pushing the cart and following my wife. Zion is my wifes world and I just visit. Its usually busy, but every good place is busy. I love going there and seeing new things to try. The produce is good but you have to be quick - the customers ahead of you are going to spot the good deals and buy it out in a short amount of time. Last time we were there a lady filled up three full bags of peaches when the gettins were good. We just wanted 4 or 5.
I went to the Korean BBQ place for dinner and it was amazing. There was also some sort of street car meet up going on in the parking lot.
I like this location so much. Lots of options, clean, some specialty shops and food shops within the larger store. Limited on the seafood options, no live seafood and sushi makings very limited. They do have a.mochi donut and iced.coffee shop in the center and those were nice. 2 donuts and and iced coffee will set you back about $8. A great array of sauces, soups, candy, frozen foods, meats, and produce. The staff is quick and efficient but never chatty (which for me, I love to chat but others do not). I love this location and will continue to visit often.
All your Korean needs can be found here! I like that it has the chili powder and great frozen dumplings I love so mych!
Oh my god! One of my favorite places to go for all my Korean cravings! The food court is awesome!
Was touring about the Convoy area and found this gem. Picked up some prepared food and other groceries. The cashiers were all quite pleasant and friendly. Will be back next time in town.
Great first time experience. Vast variety of foods from all over the Korean Provinces. Various Brands. Huge selection of fruits and vegetables. Seafood and Meats. Busy in the afternoon but quiet in the morning time. Plus many food places to choose and eat from. Plus extra stores are also located here. Have fun and enjoy your experience.
I personaly rather going to Hmart than this place. Staff there more friendly and have better quality of products and much more selections.
We were in clairemont today my husband wanted to go to Zion Market to get a smoothie at Boba Bar and Desserts. We got the coconut & mango one it was really good. A must try . people are friendly who work there.
Amazing! There is so much variety at this store it is almost overwhelming. Ranging from snacks to drinks there is plenty to choose from and it is also very organized. Personally, I love the snacks from here and this place never disappoints. It is divided into two sections as well, one side almost like a grocery store and the other like a little mall with a variety of shops to choose from. Overall, it is an amazing place and I definitely recommend checking it out when you can!
I love coming here because of the produce. And also after buying grocery, theres some food shops and baked items inside like Paris Baguette.
Zion Market is great. Its huge, always very well stocked with not only basics but obviously the more specific things you can find only at an Asian market, and they have a food court with ready-made food thats a lot better than youd think.I cant say you have to come here over say Ranch 99, but for sure its a lot easier to distance since theres a lot more space, and their parking situation is a lot better!
Zion Market is huge and has everything plus it has a food court where food is extremely great! I attached a video unfortunately i didnt take pics.Omg omg food was delicious delicious specially that noodles 🍜they were amazing and huge plate for 18$ so 2 people really can share if you are not starving. They have a boba stand and other asian food options. Very clean and the parking lot is huge. Def i will back and bringing more info but if you have chance go and explore totally recommend 👌
Good asian foods and cool little restaurants ...have to try the french bakery
Zion is a great Korean market place; Really love the food court inside that gives you different options for lunch and dinner. Always an enjoyable shop.
The best produce and selection. The prices of things are very reasonable! I prefer this place to 99 Ranch
I love the food and they have a wide selection of things to try there!
Even tho my family isnt Korean or asian, the customer service is great. Terrific food everywhere and some amazing beauty supplies.
A lot of people use this market and understandably so, a lot of good looking food as well.
Coming down from Colorado, I had never seen an Asian market like this. What surprised me the most was the AMAZING Paris style bakery. All of these foods looked like they were pulled straight out of an anime. I also decided to try some takoyaki from the food quart. What surprised me the most is that once it was served the chef came out and asked how we liked it(loved it of course). But that was such an awesome experience to talk with someone passionate about their cooking. I will 100% be coming back when I visit again.
I like asian grocery store especially this one, Zion Market. Aside from coming here for groceries, i come here also for meal. You see this place has food court. There food is serve fresh, hot and delicious. This place also have travel agency, specialty stores, bakery (as good as 85 degree bakery), saloon and many more.I like this place i come here often.Good shopping and eating.
Very good options of fresh fruits and veggies. Be mindful of what day and what time you decide to go. After a big rush of people fruits and advertise deals will be picked over. Side dishes for your meals are fresh and plentiful- The meat department is welcoming and had very flavorful gailbi [korean short rib] for purchase. Would recommend to someone looking to by their groceries.
Great food court. Great customer service
Great produce lots of specials.Lots of products for asian cooking and seasoning.
Horrible all vegetables super old and brown fruit also too old super expenssive too!!!!I used to love to come to this market probably my last time.
Well lit. Great assortment of Asian foods.
Zion Market is an exciting Korean grocery store. Their produce section is huge and they often offer a lot of cheap vegetables. They call it “Manager’s Special”. Look for the signs. I love that I can find what I need because they seem to have everything considering how big this store is. Last time I went I have spent $50 and I have enough food to last me for 2 weeks. Of course I have to cook at home. They even have a place to order fresh sushi and a place that all Korean food is cooked and ready to eat. You can also find a variety of sliced meat for shabu-shabu or make your own korean barbecue. I think you can find inspiration in what they carry. So please stop by and see for yourself.
We got some meat that was on special. Their app said a few more meats were on special but not! Apparently you need to come on the weekend! I work weekends and dont live in San Diego so that wont be happening. They should clarify this on there app!!!! We got the meat at Marukai🤩
Love buying my korean meat here. Beats going to los angeles for all you can eat lol
This is one of the great place to buy Korean foods. The price is cheap and the quality is good.
I wouldnt go here for everyday grocery, but there are many items you can almost exclusively find here. Worth a visit.
You will see so many different things of you are not from the area. I had so much fun figuring out what somethings were but also cooking other things and other ingredients was fun. I cant wait to go again
French bakery is awesome. Will have to go into supermarket later
Love going to this market. From Korean snacks which we like specially their corn chips, to fruits and vegetables the prices are so affordable. Went there today eith my dad to buy young coconut which are sold in boxes. These young coconut goes on sale during colder months compared to their original price which is $14+ a box. Looking forward to making buko (young coconut) pie for the holidays. The parking gets crowded too specially holiday season so I suggest considering going there earlier. Zion Market opens at 9 am. Oh by the way, found frog legs today so yay for that. 😄
I dont really like it... but my dad really loves this place! (He took 1 hour to shop there)
OMG the chicken place located in this store is the bees knees. I got spicy wings they were crispy and the sauce had the prefect sweetness and spice. The store itself had a wide variety of hot and cold bar items. Better than many H Marts Ive been to.
Great market for Asian products and also has specialty stores inside. Delicious food court with Korean cuisine and bakery.
If you didnt know one of the best Asian food store. Stop by and enjoy great service from all staff.
A5 stars! Its cheaper to buy in the groceries though for some of their items. The quality of their products was good as expected. Try their products and you won’t regret it for sure. I am deeply impressed by how everything turned well for my plans. Such a wonderful place to do groceries. Great service and pricing!
Nice, clean store to shop for Korean food. Good prices on produce. Lots of parking spaces.
There are many options for asian food in the Clairemont Mesa area but Zion Market is one of the largest and has the biggest food court. I can always find what I want and there are plenty of check-out stands for a quick shopping experience.
Great Korean Sashimi blue fin tuna 🐟. Super Market of all vegetables. Live fresh sea food and free frying. Frozen foods. Large rice bags up to 50lbs. Pots and pans available. Rice cookers. Slow cookers. Japanese and Korean Restaurants inside supermarket. With security patrol for safety.
Absolutely everything you could think of for your asian meal youll find it here, very affordable.
Nice selection of Korean and other Asian cuisine and items... many other services and mall-like shopping inside as well
Great market with delicious food court within. Amazing Asian foods.
I call this place the asian Costco! Everything is cheap and awesome for your asian grocery needs. Today we grab a bunch of meat to KBBQ at home. I grabbed pork belly, galbee, brisket, jowl, and beef slices. We also grabbed an assortment of mushrooms, tofu, zucchini to make Sundubu-jjigae. Alot of their veggies and fruit are very cheap because theyre going bad soon, but as long as you eat or cook them within the next few days, youre good.
Good place to shop for Korean ingredients.
Great selection of asian foods. Though the produce is not that cheap like it used to be. They had more selection of seafood and now its mostly frozen. Fish department has gone down, likely due to change in mgmt. They do however have a great selection of asian sauces and spices.
Must stop for Paris Baguette even if nothing else...It is awesome!
I was impressed with the selection, everything you could need for cooking Asian food is there and more!
This store is always busy during the peak hours & on weekends. But its a great place to get your fruits and vegetables 🍊🍎🍠🥬🍆🧅🍅 ( a large section & reason able prices) 😉
Awesome place with all the little stores within this market, but I love the Paris Baguette. Their selections are great. Strict adherence to CDC guidelines. Temperatures checked as you enter. No lines!!
Love it. Foe now on this will be my store.!!
Fruits I bout were overly ripe. Oranges fell apart when peeled.
Delicious food with attentive staff. Thank you
AMAZING, great employees, BTS merch and more! Awesome! 😇 Thank you
Great place to shop for Asian food and ingredients. They have a very good Paris Baguette store inside with all the goodies.
Big ups to Good Morning Pharmacy! Convenient and inexpensive!
Good selection of stuff from the perspective of an American who had a Korean step grandmother growing up my whole life. She just passed away with family near her. She was awesome. The selection of organic items was my biggest concern and the produce departmeny although decent could be improved. For as wide of a selection of items at the place its 5 stars. Id give it 5 stars, but it lacks a decent selection of organic foods and the produce area with stuff like cucumbers were a bit dried out and slightly wilty. Seems like they have too many things going on to really nail down the produce department, but if they reanalyzed it, they could improve it for sure.. I still bough cucumbers for sushi though so it was definitely good enough for what you need.
I bought kimchi on sale for 13 dollars. Got it home to find that it was spoiled rotten. Disgusting. They need to inspect their own products daily--especially the perishables. 🙄
Zion is known for selling fresh fish. Todays fish were rotten. I left the store with no purchase. I also noticed that some of these rotten fish were been packed to be frozen.
Good selection of Korean and Asian food
Excellent place to buy relatively inexpensive produce. Lot of parking space. Seafood pricing is reasonable and competitive. Promotional items are reasonably priced and occasionally attractive.
We love this market. So many great things to buy and explore. Kids love all the candy and snacks.
Great place for Korean food whether you are Korean or not. Also a great place to try something youve never eaten before. Like lotus... If you ask one of the passers-by, they are usually kind enough to tell you how to cook it more than one way. Always a pleasure. English spoken there.
I wanted to buy pork bulgogi today but the meet was not in good condition. It had changed color....and I bought a watermelon, but it went bad.Theres mold on the bread.
Good atmosphere to mingle and shop.. Great pastries.. Friendly
Great place for all your korean grocery needs
Caution: If you are eating or something, dont look at my photos attached. They are extremely disgusting. We brought a bottle of JFC white sesame seed from Zion market on Dec 2nd 2017. Then we opened the bottle and found two green worms (maybe more?) in the bottle (I attached the pictures below). Thanks for ruining my appetite for dinner, but this is not the worst. The day after, when we took it back to the custom service, the guy asked if we have the receipt and all they can do is giving back the money. (I really appreciate your KINDNESS!) He even didnt express any apologize or sorry for this issue. He told us its the problem of the manufacture, not them! What a funny logic, so Zion market just sell them for profit but has no responsibility for the products they carry. Excuse me?Bottom line, I think they dont care about the customers or the products they sell at all. I will never go there.
We always shop here for Ramen noodles there is always a large selection. Always try Paris Baguette for good treats and pastries.
I was very impressed this place carries so many Asian products, and the produce is very cheap and fresh.
