So awesome to finally go in this place. The fruits and veggies and meat selection were awesome! We found the rare Chinese rice wine we needed to make dumplings at home. Also found some other snacks and goodies we didnt know we were missing. Plus we got a free pack of eggs too! Highly recommend!

This is my main go-to place when I need Asian groceries. Admittedly this store looks old compared to other up and coming Asian markets, but it has the main things you’d need if you are looking for Chinese food. Other markets are more skewed towards other types of ethnic food like South Asian countries or Korea.

We went to this store from a friend that told us about it. It was a decent store. The rows are tight pushing a shopping cart down the isles. The desserts that are there look incredible and delicious. We didnt try any but they do look good. The other area has a food area, kind of quick fast food. Pretty decent serving size for the price. Overall it was alright.

Its like a third world market with everything under the sun dead or alive! I just wish the staff were a bit more helpful. I asked 3 different employees for help locating black garlic oil and found nothing. I know it has to be there. Some items are labeled in a foreign language and I didnt want to end up with Cicada juice or congealed pork blood. Not that theres anything wrong with that I just wasnt in the mood to be adventurous.

Great variety of Asian products from the hot deli to the fresh bakery to the fresh meat and seafood counter. My favorite spot is the produce area and all those unique fruits and veggies. The hunt is on.. The mini king mushrooms are our favorite. The lychee selection was, unfortunately, dismal this year.

A good Oriental supermarket for everyone, a bit more pricey than others, With a good selection of Asian goods & ingredients. They have the Pandemic Safety Code compliance in place, social distancing markers on the floor, plastic screen partitions at checkouts, all staff & customers are required to wear a face mask while in the store. The produce section stocked well w unique and hard to find ethnic fruits and vegetables. The meat section is also stocked with all selections of cuts and hard to find organ meats for that unique recipe or menu. Now, the Seafood section is another world in its own. First of all, the very strong & pungent odor & smell of bad fish & all other seafood, although items on display seems OK and not bad or rotten. This area is always wet & noisy, busy with customers milling around, looking to make their choices. I make a very quick trip here and pick up my calamari (squid) from the frozen section & head away from the bad & unpleasant odor from the area. Also has a Take - Out Cooked Food counter at the front of the store thats got a great selection of Asian cuisine. Ranch 99 is one of my stops for Asian grocery Shopping as their inventory is well stocked & organized. Hopefully, they can improve the seafood area by proper, professional cleaning & sanitizing for the good, safety & hygienic environment for customers & employees. Compliance with the health, sanitation & safety codes of the Health Dept. must be maintained.

99 Ranch is definitely the cleaner Asian store compared to the Vietnamese store. They have good seafood and meat selection. All the Asian spices and snacks. Fruit selection is good, and so is vegetables, although H Mart has better marinated meat. I like the fact that 99 Ranch has stores inside the market. You can eat at Sam Woo or they have an affordable hot food section to get milk tea at OO tea and there’s a lady that cooks really good cream pastry in front of the register for $1.20.

Its got the ethnic food that most people are looking for, but space wise, its pretty tight, especially if you come on the weekend. Fortunately, its well organized and flows fairly smoothly. It was easy enough to return the wrong sized pot lid that I bought, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The cooked food is tasty, so grab some on your way to the checkout counter.

LOVE this place but the food from deli really grossed me out today.Just purchased some steamed dim sum from deli literally 3 hrs ago.Opened it for dinner and it has a nasty cheese smell already. Feeling brave and tasted both chicken feet and ribs, yup, food was bad. I thought we are still in spring and my car a/c was on the entire time. How is my noodle from the deli tastes delicious but my dim sum is terrible. Please check your food today.

99 Ranch Market has been in the Asian supermarket for a long time, but it doesnt seem like its keeping up with some of the competition. Look at H-Mart. The stores on the outside keeps up with the times and looks nice and presentable. Its not necessarily 99 ranchs fault but it doesnt give a good impression. Go up and down the aisles and you see things in cardboard boxes and not nicely displayed. The place looks dated. The glass displays for the meats and fish look dingy. The benefit of the store looking the way it does, keeps the prices low, but it doesnt give confidence in how sanitary things are or are not.

This is my go to Asian grocery store, a newer 99 Ranch Market compared to the one off Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Aisles are wider and produce and meats fresh. They have an expanded section for just hot pot related items. This market is clean and doesnt have the smells at the old 99 ranch or zion markets. There is always an attendant around to assist you at the produce and meat sections. I also enjoy having ample parking and not having to fight my way through long lines and crowded spaces. There are also small dining shops with different cusines to choose from that is outside of the 99 ranch kitchen.

LOVE the 99Ranch! Its across the street from the car dealership I have most my car stuff done....so I wander over here often to stock up on VitaSoy, noodles, Aloe drinks, ice coffee and such. Big GIANT produce section with really great looking Fuji apples, dragonfruit, mangos, etc.Until a few years ago, this was the ONLY 99Ranch in San Diego. I think I have seen two or three others now (Balboa?). LA has several dozen of these places. Parking here can be sketchy. There is LOTS of parking (All four sides of the store!)...but the spaces are striped pretty small.
