I found Alan and his business over 10 years ago on Yelp because I had such a bad experience at Good Year Tire and good thing I did because now I’ve been a loyal customer to Mira Mesa Auto Techs ! I just went in today for an oil change and the customer service you receive here is like no other ..Alan is so honest and kind and has a great hard working team that gets the work done in a short time. I was watching tv in their large waiting room and forgot I wasn’t at home ! It’s so clean inside and the bathroom is the cleanest business bathroom I’ve ever seen ! They really take pride in their business and it shows . I always rave about this place to my friends in need of car repairs and will continue to do so - they are just so amazing I needed to come write an updated review 🙌🏻🙂

There are many cheap places in Miramar. This place is not one of them but still much cheaper than the dealership while reliable.

This autotech is truly amazing. They never overprice. In fact they underprice their services and are SO incredibly honest. They have lost out on thousands of dollars of services they couldve talked me into but instead advised me it was time to sell my car rather than sink thousands into repairs that I wouldnt get a return on.This is also a family owned business run by an amazing immigrant. We have been going to them for over 20 years.

Ive been going to Alan for my car service and repair for over 15 years. I keep my cars for a long time and as parts wear out his crew has always kept me reliably on the road. Timing belts, oil changes, brake work etc. all done with no issues. Having an honest independent mechanic is important and I trust Mira Mesa Auto Techs.

I really appreciate the help Mr Chen gave me. My Ford Focus can’t go in reverse . Mr Chen diagnosed it, shared the error code with me and told me it’s the transmission issue and Ford has extended warranty on it. He didn’t charge me anything and asked me to call dealer to make sure they know it. If not, I need to google and prepare for the documents before towing my car there. He is very honest and helpful!! Highly recommend

I never realised how great these guys were until I went to a different mechanic for a smog repair... Like other reviews say: they are fast, friendly and they take the time to explain everything to you beforehand. I never had a problem with any of their work. You should definitely make MM auto techs your SD mechanic.

We won’t go anywhere else. My daughter’s car was having random starting problems. Sometimes it would start (rarely), others you could jump start it and still others it would not start at all. We did not have a mechanic so I looked up auto repair shops in our area. I saw that Mira Mesa Auto Techs had an average rating of 4.7 from 51 reviews. No east feat. We found out why. We took my daughter’s car in and explained the problem. They immediately noticed the cables were corroded and not secure. Right then and there they cleaned the cables and secured them and my husband was on his way home with a car that started readily, multiple times. They did not charge us a cent. Where do you get that kind of service in this day and age? I find it all too rare. And the generosity, virtually unheard of. I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to now have an auto repair team that I feel I can trust to do the work necessary and only that and charge me a fair price. I want this company to have any money I need to spend to keep our family’s cars in great working condition. Thank you Mira Mesa Auto Tech!

I call in needing a quotes for alternator replace for my Lexus GS300, I was quoted $350 for parts n labor, better deal then I been shopping, so I told the guy on the phone, I’ll be there soon, I dropped of my car at 1:30pm n closing time today at 3pm due to covid-19, the money did a fast excellent job, I was out of there in less then 1hr to make things even more happy as a new customer, the quote I got was for 1 n half labor but Lexus recommended 3hr labor but he was honest n man of his words, he charge me what he quoted me over the phone, god bless him, I will definitely be doing my car work thru them from here on. Very professional, excellent service, honest n good quality with less time. Oh yeah place it’s hug for ten customers, with TV n cold water for customer. 5star

Love this place! I feel like theyre honest and charge a fair price. Whenever I need to take in a vehicle they are available for us to drop off in a reasonable time and the time it tacks to hear from them is great. I always recommend this shop. Honest and quick. No gimmicks and did not feel any pressure to try to ad any additional recommended maintenance or other repairs. Very transparent: showed me the old brake pads they replaced verifying they were ready to be replaced. Highly recommend this shop and will gladly return for my future automotive needs.

I highly recommend this place! Both my Lexus RX 300 and my Honda Civic 04 had their 90k maintenance done here. Alan explained to me a lot of the process and even showed me that my timing belt didnt need to be replaced since (I ended up getting it replaced anyways) it was still in good quality. Just goes to show that they are not there to pressure you into making excess purchases, but to educate and serve the customer. Thank you!

I have been using Mira Mesa Auto Techs for years. They have helped preserve my car and keep it going strong, are always honest and very fair. I would never take my car somewhere else unless they tell me to and then only to their recommended source. They really care about their customers.

The engine oil level of my car went from 100% to 20% only within a few weeks and I barely drove it. I was worried and wondering what might go wrong with my car. I found this auto store online and took my car there. The ladies from front desk were very friendly. The store owner checked our car and told me its just previous dealer didnt re-set the engine oil level properly. He re-set it for me and insisted no charge at all. Really wonderful experience! Will definitely go back for my regular car maintenance.

They will threat you like a idiot!!I came here form a friends recommendation but WILL NOT ever. They charge $45 + tax only for oil change. When i asked why my friend get oil change for 30 buck, they said different car has different price! It turned out they they fill my car with a dirty container, I can image what kind of oil they use for $30 oil change. My car started Abnormal Sounds after Oil changed here.Besides, they said the price include tire rotation and overall check. But after I paid, the guy told me that they didnt do the tire rotation because my rare tires in different brand. I checked the tires right away, they are in same brand and same condition. How could he said!They didt do the overall check neither.Dont come if you dont want to be overcharged and threat as a idiot.You can get a better cheaper oil change service at Pep boys, Walmart or anywhere else.

Shady mechanic shop.Ive only been here for oil and fluid changes. Good prices.However, today, I got a taste of some very shady practice:They informed me that both my radiator AND water pump are leaking, and gave me a price quote.I asked them Where? Some seal? Something between them somewhere? Where is this leak?This long haired young Asian dude in skinny jeans condescendingly asks:1.) Do you know where the radiator is? Do you know where the water pump is?2.) Did you know your radiator is plastic?!He claims that the radiator is leaking all over.Generically. Cant actually tell me how they detect the leak or where the leak is.1.) I dont see any leaking or coolant loss at all from either the radiator or the pump2.) Actually the radiator reservoir is plastic. Its metal everywhere else. Besides, that doesnt actually explain anything about the leakage.The guy is condescending, has no idea what hes talking about, is a terrible communicator if he does know anything, and I just wanted to get out of there.Im starting to think their recommendation is based on all the dried coolant all over the engine. That came from a leak 6 months ago, and I took it to Lexus. They did a full diagnostic and pressure check on the entire coolant system, and it was determined to be the radiator cap. Replaced it and that fixed it. Im thinking that these guys saw that and are using that to recommend an unnecessary replacement of the entire radiator and water pump.I just spoke to my neighbor who also took his Audi to this shop a few months ago. He also has had the same experience with these people:1.) They claimed his water pump was leaking. He had just had it replaced and there was no leaks before or after their claim.2.) They quoted him $700 to replace his thermostat housing - he did it himself and it cost $40 in parts and 45 minutes of labor.Bad communication and dubious recommendations. Im calling this place out as a shady auto shop.There are a lot of positive recommendations here, which lead me to this shop, but theyre all generic and overly positive for customer reviews. Friends and family Im guessing?
