The staff are super friendly and the ambiance is expansive yet comfortable. Theres a huge open to air patio area that is pet friendly. Theres also a large window which you can watch the bakers make the pastries on the daily.I had the Nola... A vanilla cold brew with a sprig of mint. The coffee flavor wasnt strong enough for me personally. Tasted a little watered down so minus 1 star. My friend said his Kyoto nitro cold brew was good though. Next time Id try an espresso based hot drink. I loved the cafe, just not so much my drink. Prices were reasonable tho.

This is a great place for coffee and pastries. The only con is that the line was so long it took forever to place our order. I dont know if its because we went on a weekend with the farmers market or if its always this crowded. This place has a nice open outdoor seating area. The servers, although busy are nice and helpful. We enjoyed our coffee and would recommend this place to others.

Only got an oatmilk matcha latte here but it was really good! Service was friendly and the cafe was clean with plenty of outdoor seating. Would recommend stopping by as it’s a great location in Little Italy.

I came here this morning because I felt like Id lost my appetite. The room was clean, fashionable, and relaxing. I must admit that learning and relaxing here was fantastic. I was here a few months back and loved my coffee and service. Today the coffee was good, but service seriously disappointing. The girls were more worried about making coffee for the bakers and themselves, playing on cell phones and one gal braided her long hair out front and didnt even wash her hands before making coffee and getting patrons food. I wont be coming back...

The best coffee I can get in CA so far.Great flat white! The milk is so strong and it feels like you are tasting eggs (in a good way). Their cold brew and nitro are at world class!!!! It’s absolutely unique, fresh and amazing! You can taste a little bit of wood for the aftertaste. They were just too good.I’ve never tasted something like this before. The aroma is so special. I was so happy and we really enjoy and love it! Definitely will come back for the coffee from this place again!

Great spot! I got the Cloudy with a Chance of Cold Brew with cream and vanilla foam... so good and not too sweet! They have an interesting food menu, much more than just pastries (which they also have and while I did not sample, they looked incredible). The chicken apple sausage was delicious and my cousin loved the yogurt, granola, and fruit dish.

Lofty’s is a great spot to grab and go or even sit and chat with friends. Every-time I visit this location the coffee is always fantastic. I cannot recommend their iced vanilla latte enough.

The salted caramel latte is life changing. I also got the Acai breakfast bowl. Being from the midwest I found it to be very unique and full of fresh flavors. I especially loved all the seeds, nuts and granola which gave it lots of crunch!

Writing this on behalf of a dear friend..She Waited about 20 minutes.When she asked the barrista where her cappuccino was, the barrista was rude and basically ignored her.The cappuccino wasnt even hot when it finally came out. Unacceptable service and quality in the product.

I love the look and feel of this place and love their lattes. However, its typically crowded and usually takes a while to order and then wait for your coffee. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often!

The coffee here is on point, alot of varieties and ways to get it done. The baked goods and sandwiches were out of sight. The location was very cool and good spot to meet up. It is about as pricey of a coffee shop as they come but when it hits your lips, youll know why.

My first sub 5 rating for any establishment. Excellent tasting coffee. Great environment and love the location. Been here a couple of times and had fairly good service. Unfortunately, my order of a latte fell through the cracks and waited a long time. Had to finally request the barista. Apologises made but left an unpleasant impression. Advice: wait for your coffee at the barista before you sit down at a table.

Really nice ambiance! Staff is amazing ! They are very friendly and took time to explain menu to me as my first time here. However, this place doesn’t have all your basic condiments .. I ordered potato’s and they had no ketchup to offer .. very heartbreaking as I couldn’t eat my plate of potatoes without ketchup .

Maybe this place really is good, but I didn’t have a good first experience.Wanted to order a Iced Carmel Macchiato but they didn’t have caramel so I got a regular and it just wasn’t what I was wanting/expecting and she told me that after I had already paid and was waiting and with a big wait line I just said okay.Also Ordered the Organic Avocado Toast to-go that cost $11 and when I got in the car they gave me the Avocado Quickie toast which only cost $7 and I left a 15% tip beforehand and was already gone. Waste of money I would say.

HOLY MOLY YUM! I was visiting San Diego and grabbed a quick latte from here... I will be returning when I am back again. Me and my husband are still talking about how delicious the pastries looked. We for sure would have grabbed some if we werent full and about to get on an airplane!

Great coffee, organic food that tastes and feels healthy! Loved this cute coffee shop. We ordered the french toast - which was decent, but we have had better, organic poached eggs with bread - the best order and truly organic, and the house made granola bowl -also fantastic and flavoured with coconut chips. I would recommend go for eggs with sausages and the granola with a strong cup of cappuccino. Service was quick and everyone had a smile on their face.

Delicious coffee but even better service. I was with a couple friends, one was having a bad day, and without prompt one of the staff members checked in and offered a complimentary pastry. Plenty of outdoor space to wait comfortably for your coffee. Highly recommend!

The yogurt and fruit granola was delicious! I got an Iced Mexican Mocha and it was a bit spicy (which was fine for me since they gave me a heads up)...unfortunately the only downside was I found a hair in my cup. I think this is because they stopped putting lids on the cups when they give it to you (due to covid?) Other than that, it was a great experience!

Took 30 minutes to get food and coffee to go. Im not sure what happened to this place but it ive seen it much busier and didnt have to wait that long. Our food came out before our drinks and im 95% sure my iced latte was all milk with no coffee. Theres other better places in the area.

One of my most enjoyable times during coffee with the help of the weather! Recommended by the staff on Dec. 9th to order a Flat White since Ive never been there before. Not only was it delicious but the environment they provide there is relaxing. The drink itself was very savory to the end and will definitely return soon

Great location and wonderful staff. The coffee is some of the best Ive had in town and the pastries are all made on site. The almond croissants remind me of the ones I have had at sidewalk cafes in Paris.

Lovely spot. Very tasty food, and I like that the acai bowl did not have sweetened acai. Special coffee drinks are good. Wait times can get a little long when it gets busy. We were done our meals by the time the drinks showed up.

Food is good, staff are nice and friendly. I just didnt like the fact that they didnt have a host or proper signage to say you have to order and seat yourself, it doesnt look like a typical coffee shop so I sort of expected it not to be a typical coffee shop. Location is great, and they are fairly quick with the food. Lines can be a bit long but the cashiers are fast.

This used to be my favorite breakfast spot. As of lately, however, the service and food has not been the same. Me and my wife didnt mind the wait before because the sandwiches and acai bowl were worth the wait. But the last two times Ive gone have not been up to par for me. They have been stingy with the meat as far as sandwiches and just very sloppy as far as putting it together. Also, the acai bowl is kind of light on the fruit servings. I dont know if they are under new management but it is definitely not the same. If you want to wait 30-45 mins for mediocrity.. then this is the place. I feel that there are other gems around with better service and are less expensive.

This coffee shop is one of my favorites! Its such a cute coffee shop, and there are always plenty of comfy seats available. There are several options to choose from that will undoubtedly satisfy your preferences. The entire staff is extremely pleasant, welcoming, and eager to assist. This is a location I would really suggest to everyone.

Avocado and turkey croissant was good, but pricey for the size. My friend got the egg and cheddar croissant - she said it had a sweet taste to it she disliked, but her vanilla latte was good.

During a recent trip to Seattle I reluctantly tried oat milk and absolutely loved it. Now its pretty much added to all my lattes so when I find a good coffee shop that has it on the menu its definitely a huge plus. Lofty offers a house-made oat milk which is amazing so you can bet it will be a must every time I pass through San Diego☕

This is a lovely spot where you can get a cup of coffee or sit outside or outside. Theyve got a nice place to hang out with friends. The team members are all very nice, as is the director. If you want a great coffee, always fresh and delicious, plus the barista guys who always offer you positive energy, this is the best spot for you!

With a great, open air setting, this space is excellent for a quick coffee/bite or a place you can hang and linger with friends over lunch.I came here specifically for the coffee, and they didn’t disappoint.Single origin espresso was pulled flawlessly. Their single origin cold brewed nitro was bursting with bright flavors.The team of craft coffee specialist are precise and careful in crafting every beverage whether it is a pour over, espresso beverage or a specialty drink. They also use the Kyoto-style slow drip method for cold brewing, which not only produces a superior coffee, but it’s also an artful presentation. Have some patience while waiting in line here. . . they’re busy making art in a cup which takes time.

Coffee and food is perfect ... I just sharing my unhappy experience with team. I order a orange juice and they give me an expired one and I asked to change it and they refunded me. So, I asked them to give me a coffee since I am eating and will pay for it after finishing my food. They said we will not process your order without going to cashier and pay for a coffee .... It’s a disappointment for me starting from expired juice and finished with customer treatment.

Went with a girlfriend to meet and catch up. Its a cute place and I loved how my tea came out. My friend had coffee and a breakfast that looked fantastic. She said the sandwiches are fantastic. It was a nice little place and very busy!

The only thing that spoiled our visit, that steel chairs very very cold to sit on in the morning, I’ve asked the staff for something to put on the cold chair, so that my pregnant wife can sit comfortably and safely, unfortunately, staff was NOT responsive to that. Finally got to check out the newest, most anticipated Lofty. What a beautiful open space. So nice to sit and relax, hang out. Largest location to date. Same deliciousness as Encinitas and Solana. My fav coffee place in all of SoCal, that’s saying something. Their cold brew is awesome.If you want to brew at home, I’ve turned so many people into their Morning Dove blend, so smooth.I’ve tried pretty much everything they have to offer. Love that they also have great gluten free options and their house made milks are the best.

Delicious coffee freshly brewed and made with the friendliest baristas in a coffee shop with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I got a cold brew mocha as an off menu item and was quite delicious. Pricing is very reasonable especially if you want to get some work done.

Coffee and croissant that I ordered was great. I ordered espresso and the waitress brought me a small glass of water. This touch reminds me of Europe especially in Italy. Honestly the only place in Italy that they give you water without ordering it is in the south of Rome like Napoli or Sicily. The ambiance is nice. It’s clean, modern and the coffee is good. The barista is well trained and the pastries are fresh. I enjoyed my time sipping coffee and having a great conversation with friends. The noise of the traffic of cars and public bus was minimal and pleasant. It adds a nice European city vibe. I stayed here for over an hour and the waitress left us alone. There was no stress on leaving and we left when our conversation naturally was over. Two thumbs up to this place.

Ordered American coffee, fresh and high quality beans. The direction of Lofty faces to sunset in the afternoon, it gives the outside seats with warm energy and comfortable environment.

This is a super cute cafe with an indoor/outdoor set up. Their weather is great so its quite nice. Scratch pastries are good, I had the Summer Strawberry Shortcake . Highly recommend. Service is a tad slow but worth the wait in the end. Salted Caramel latte, get one.

Tried out this place during a little mini vacay and absolutely LOVED it. Its right in Little Italy. Coffee is really good. I did end up buying a bag of their dark roast and the baristas are very friendly. Very welcoming.I also loved the outdoor seating. Seems like a place to study if youre okay with a lot of people around -- it does seem to get busy.

A very clean and attractive coffee shop. All of the baristas are friendly and quick. I thought the espresso was only okay, and my sandwich was really disappointing. There are a few large tables with eight chairs that end up with only three or four people around them, more smaller tables would provide seating for more people. Its dog friendly, and there are normally some really great dogs hanging out with their people.
