I had the honor of tasting London fog, Hojicha Matcha, Spro shooter, and some baked goods (Chocolate Banana nut bread, Pecan Maple scones, and Alfrajores Dulce De Leche Cookie). All 3 beverages were tasty, just depends on what youre craving. Theflavor that was to my liking would be the London fog and Hojicha Matcha. But the shooter did assist with the caffeine. The baked goods were tasty, Id recommend the Chocolate banana bread. Also, the baristas were very kind & lovely ladies.

Great Coffee Shop on the outskirts of Little Italy. They offer terrific coffee and some scrumptious eats as well. Inside and outside seating available.

Good quality coffee, no complaints about that. As with most cafes in the US though, I wish there was more of a push towards sustainability and less towards the convenience of “to go” packaging regardless of where the customer’s consuming their drink. As others have said, ordering is via a tablet, which still asks for a tip (odd?). Very Portal indeed… Hello Wheatley!

The loveliest staff, most consistently crafted cappuccinos in SD, and great vibes on the patio. Love it. This is the cool coffee hangout Little Italy needs. And for those who need carbs with caffeine, be warned their ever growing selection of top notch pastries sell out!

A chill atmosphere to get some work done or chat with a friend. You order on a tablet and receive everything in to-go packaging. Tried the cold brew with vanilla and oatmilk (only 10 cent charge for oat which is awesome). It was pretty strong but smooth coffee. Also tried the blueberry lemon scone which was okay, would have enjoyed it more warmed up.

Excellent coffee. Visited here twice while staying in San Diego for a few nights. They have a friendly staff and plenty of indoor and nice outdoor seating that I didn’t take advantage of. They also have a great selection of tasty looking pastries. Stop by if you’re in the Little Italy area of San Diego!

Portal is a great coffee shop with an excellent selection of freshly roasted local coffee, great lattes with incredible flavor combinations, and delicious pastries! Add that to their relaxed brick atmosphere and beautiful outdoor patio and super friendly staff, and you have a recipe for a great time at a local coffee shop! Bonus points if you go on a Saturday morning when local DJ Graffick is mixing some smooth but upbeat tunes.

Such a great little find in Little Italy by the waterfront. It has a super cute patio outside, lots of tables & light inside. Very chill vibe. It doesn’t blast music like some coffee shops. The avocado toast with egg was delicious. It was big enough to split with someone. The matcha was strong and I really liked it! Service staff are all lovely. Definitely recommend checking this place out for your next coffee/matcha run.

Best coffee place in San Diego. Coming from Germany I am so happy to see more coffee places like this one around and the coffee was simply perfect. Tasted good, no additional sweeteners and everything is possible iced. The atmosphere inside is very easy going, lots of space to work from and sit outside in the sun. They also have some snacks and food and the have a weekly tea and coffee menu that changes. Plus super nice staff! Couldnt be better! Danke :)

Cutest coffee shop downtown! We stopped here on a Sunday morning before we left for a cruise, and it was the best coffee I had on our whole vacation! All staff members were incredibly friendly. They have all kinds of fun treats, kombuchas, beans, and extras to buy. And you can’t go wrong with espresso, of course. My latte was awesome, and the atmosphere was nice. We were able to sit for awhile and enjoy our drink without it being too noisy or overcrowded. There was a constant flow of customers in and out, so obviously this is the place to be! We will definitely come back next time we’re in San Diego!

Nice place. Im not thrilled about the fact that the inside was about the same temperature as the outside at 8:30ish am. If I wanted to eat outside ... Id eat OUTSIDE. sigh.My second whine is about croissants. I ordered a plain one. The plain ones look just like the chocolate ones ... until, of course, you bite into it and get chocolate. I understand the confusion. I just dont appreciate the lack of attention. So now that Im done whining ... Its a nice place. I had a Vietnamese iced coffee which was delicious - exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere is great ... chilly, but great. Okay, I wasnt really done whining. Sigh.
