Great baked goods and boba drinks. Love that the pastries are never over-sweet. Good fresh items always rolling in.

I know things have changed since Covid and this is a smaller cafe compared to some outside the mall but it seems like some of our favorites are no longer available. Employees are always nice and there is usually a long line to get in. Just depends on what were in the mood for. Definitely worth stopping by though. Pasteries and coffee are always yummy.

First time in this cafe. I hadnt seen the custard tarts there since I was visiting Portugal. So I asked the employee what do you call these Portuguese custard tarts? He says, Portuguese custard tarts. I said - I know but they have a special name in Portugal. He repeats the same thing to me again - like I was stupid. Really not cool. They are called Pastel de Nata. Geez...He was so rude I just walked out.

This place is super nice and they have really nice things its different for me and I would talk friends or family or someone your dating

Every time these guys get it right. I can’t emphasize enough how these fast paced convenient shops have absolutely no clue. The person I dealt with today at the UTC 85C Bakery Cafe was Roger. This guy needs to be recognized. Thanks Roger!!!

I’ve been heree multiple times and this place has a gReat selection of pastries and buns. You also get coffee and bubble tea here. I’ve tried the pork buns, the mushroom bun, the bacon and cheese and the chEddar cheese buns. The milk bun is my favorite. Even the chocolate mousse cake is great. I got all the stuff I mentioned above for 13$ which is amazing!

Loved the big selection of pastries! All the employees yelled WELCOME and FRESH BREAD whenever something came out of the oven.My absolute favorite is the ham n cheese pastry! Also the caramel milk tea was amazing as well.

Since we are still in pandemic, as a store selling food, I think they should at least require customers wear mask, but they don’t, even people are sniffing and sick, they are still allowed to go inside today!! The store don’t care and don’t do anything!! Customers never keep social distance, the store is small and crowded, I am very disappointed about what I experienced today!!! I finally know the reason why there are some many COVID 19 cases in the U.S.A

They have the best French cake in town, a large variety of Pastry to choose from. They really are good to have. I honestly love the place

Ordered a coffee latte today. All I got was a cup of lukewarm drink for $4. Need to improve your quality of products. This kind of sloppy attitudes towards orders are not acceptable.

A convenient bakery if your at UTC and UTC transit station. The baked goods are good however I believe that they are a little pricey.

This is the closest 85° by my work so its quite convenient. Currently they only allow two people at a time to come into the store durle to covid restrictions. I was looking for one of their cases but they ran out in the store. However, the lovely girl went all the way to their kitchen and grabbed one for me. I really commend her effort and that action alone was very thoughtful and will bring customers back again and again. The cakes were delicious.

This place is too small shop at the corner. There is no place to eat in. Its just only for to go (Theres a few table and chairs at outside)AC wasnt cold enough at summer time and those cakes hits the sun light directly from the outside. This shop need to be cold and cool at summer time. The customers are waiting for long line to pay, and theres only one cashier register and one order machine by yourself. It is very very slow operation at this corner small shop.I personally likes the other bigger store location.Update: seemed like its been closed for covid-19 currently. (7/26/20)

Absolutely the greatest bakery. Such unique goods. Their mango bun was divinely delicious! So was their Strawberry chocolate mousse dessert that was just the right size with just enough sweetness. I plan to come here often just to try other goods! And the prices are great!

I typically enjoy the pastries at 85C. Today decided to try the Mango Coconut pearl drink. Apparently asking for less ice is not an option. Fine! Asked for no ice. They diluted the drink with water to save. Really bad decision. I understand some of the drinks are more expensive and I expect them to have multiple pricing if needed, but providing a bad drink for close to $5 is not acceptable. I will probably never try the drinks at this location in the future. Other options in the area are available. Nevertheless the pastries are consistent and fresh.

They open at 9am. I got there at 10:30 and almost all the shelves were empty. I asked them if they had any bread coming out and they said probably around 11 because they bake it fresh every morning. So they are open 2 hours with no food available. When I worked at subway we didnt start serving customers until 7, but I had to be there at 5am to start prepping food so it would be ready when we opened. 1 star for dumb management.

The store is really small. They shouldve bought a bigger space. Hopefully theyll expand because its been really crowded when Ive gone in the evening, and its the only bakery at the mall (I think) so itll probably stay that way. The popular items go quick. The 85 in Clairemont has a bigger selection and its less crowded, so Id recommend going there if its convenient. Otherwise, its still 85 so this one is still good

Almost wish I hadnt discovered the Caramel Danish--its like a really good croissant baked in a muffin tin with a base of caramel--buttery flakiness on top and chewy caramel on the bottom--absolutely delicious! We also tried a chocolate muffin and a pastry--both of which had a delightfully smooth and chocolaty cream filling. I have a new reason to brave the parking situation at UTC mall!

The bakery items are good. Idk of they are that special especially to wait in a line thats much longer than it is at other stores ( its in a smaller space but gets the same amount of traffic ) I can now order a drink without the wait though so hopefully itll be better since I usually go just for the sea salt caramel coffee. Though the last time I was there they didnt have caramel

Lots of yummy breads to choose from. The ham and cheese is my favorite I would highly recommend.

Everything Ive tried here is delicious and fresh, and the breads that Ive taken home to try later hold up well for as long as Ive tried to keep them (within 36 hours, Ive never tried longer than that). Im giving this location 4 stars instead of 5, though, because Ive seen it overrun with boisterous mall rat teenagers that cut in line and are rude to other customers. It feels a bit unfair to dock a star from the bakery for something that isnt directly its fault, but this does diminish the customer experience nonetheless.

Everything so delicious here. Will definitely go back and try other things :)

I am not a very sophisticated or fancy person so I still prefer Vons chocolate cake but other than that its a great place.

Coconut Mango Pearl is great :) except not much coconut flavor. Their drinks and snacks are always amazing

Good place to grab something on the go though the food is not as hot as freshly baked.

Some of the pastries taste good (like the Spinach Kale Danish), but the whole process of getting your pastries, paying and then waiting forever on your drink is not well thought through. It is obvious that this store needs more staff, especially to prepare the drinks. Their Sea Salt Coffee is an insult to the taste buds and way too salty.The worst thing, however, is this chains’ excessive use of plastic bags. They literally pack every little pastry in a separate plastic bag.

Very cute, smaller than expected and I have to agree the sun hits half the pastries. Service was nice and quick.

The cakes are perfectly baked and the facilities are amazing. The staffs are also good when it comes to entertaining costumers.

Small outpost of the very popular Asian bakery. Well stocked with the regular items you can get at other stores even though the kitchen is actually somewhere else in the mall.

They totally forgot to keep my cake that I made reservation with custom writing service and paid 3 days in advance. When I went to 85c bakery just to pick up my cake today, I had to ask 3 different employees and wait 30 minutes to finally realize that they completely forgot to keep the cake. There were no cake left in the store, so I just asked them to refund. They wasted my time and messed up my day. Do not reserve a cake here. They will never keep it for you.

Quality bakery. I like the Premium Milk bread. Its got a subtle sweetness with a kick of white chocolate. Great prices. The boba here is acceptable. Boba is a bit rubbery and the tea itself is mainly sugary milk - the tea part is just ok.

Please stop using so much plastic bags!!! Other than that these guys are great..
