We fell in love with this place! 🥰 my daughter and I legit love this cute coffee shop and the employees were super sweet! We got there 10 minutes to closing and it didn’t look like we were the only ones trying to get our coffee fix last minute and the employees weren’t bitter or upset they welcomed everyone to get their coffee. The coffee is amazing and their vegan treats were just as good! Thank you for a great experience last night! ♥️☕️

I just visited this place yesterday by accident and i will say it is my new favorite spot for coffee! Everyone in the facility is friendly, fast and informative on their products that they have. My new favorite is the summer moon latte which, hot, taste like blue bell melted ice cream!!! I say for anyone looking for premium coffee, this is the spot!Highly recommended!!!

Summer Moon is the best! I come here at least 5 times a week to study and it never disappoints. Good coffee is always a plus but the baristas working here is what makes this coffee shop the best. Always greeting and are super friendly towards customers. They prioritize the lines and make sure each customer is satisfied. Highly recommend stopping by if in the area for a coffee!

Hubby and I were very curious about this shop as it mentioned wood fired coffee. He tried the Blue Moon latte and I got an Americano with moon milk. Both drinks were very tasty. We actually went a second time during the weekend trip. The employees were very friendly. I highly recommend this place. I will be going again during our next trip to San Marcos.

Where do I even begin! By far, this is the best coffee Ive ever had from a business/restaurant! Im in love with the espresso milkshakes. Its the perfect pick me up for me. The staff is excellent and top notch. Even if the coffee sucked, I would still come as often as I do which is almost daily. Great vibes which promotes the energy needed to get through tough days. Thank you Summer Moon. You all have made getting through hectic days much easier. Keep up the great work!

One of my favorite shops in San Marcos and a great representation of this Texas chain. Oak-roasted goodness and a staff that is always helpful, courteous, and who work at a steady pace. Great product always.

Excellent coffee experience. I really liked the Moon Latte and ordered it 3/4 Moon sweetness. I think the full Summer Moon would be too sweet for me. It was difficult to tell how the wood fire roast impacted the coffee flavors so I’ll need to get the black coffee next time to find out. The coffee cake was good, not too sweet. My wife enjoyed the banana mint muffin, and her iced chai was average good- the powdered chai mixed dissolves differently in cold water. She might order it hit next time to see how that goes. Good mix of indoor / outdoor seating but no shade on outside tables. We’ll come back.

I gave the 1 star not for the coffee, because this would be unfair, as we all agree they are one of the best coffee houses in TX IMHO. The 1 star is for the staff who are ignoring the COVID-19 restrictions. I wanna be fair and mention that only ONE of the staff was wearing a mask and he was NOT the one preparing the coffee. Summer Moon Management. you need to take actions regarding this situation. I love your coffee and I hate to scratch you of my list of one of the places I love having coffee at.

Great coffee. Poor atmosphere No working wifi (connection to sites test was rejected and cell was way faster) and people watching loud TV/Movies without headphones (is that where all the bandwidth is going)

The coffee here is so good. I got a “half moon” with oat milk. I was surprised by how quickly they made the drinks. Within a few minutes of ordering the drinks were ready. Definitely would come back

Fun vibe, not too noisy and relaxing-2021

I always go here for my morning coffee or chai tea. The employees are always nice and make amazing drinks! I tried their new blueberry crisp cold coffee and it was so good! I definitely recommend! The pastries by Miss Chickpeas (the pop tart looking ones) and their donuts are amazing as well!

Best coffee period I stop going to Starbucks long time ago because I fell in love with the way summer moon makes my Ice Americano sweet but still taste the the coffee strong

Coffee just as good as the Austin TX location. I like the layout here very much. It feels light and airy with enough table space to get a seat on a lazy afternoon coffee affair. Will return.

Fast, polite and knowledgeable service. Shop is clean and so are their outside tables and chairs. I didnt have to wait long for my drink and their coffee always has a wonderful flavor!

Love the speedy service, the amazing taste of the coffee, and friendliness of this place! I do however wish there was option to leave a tip without asking aloud in front of the store. I feel a little cornered whenever the question comes around. If there was a way to add it on a screen preferably, Id feel more welcomed.

This place is clean, so two stars.Nobody working there was wearing a mask. I get it-- covid is over and everyone under 40 thinks theyre immune. But I was wearing my mask, because I have a cold and turns out they are great for that. And I felt self conscious as the super hip kids behind the counters faces read ugh, hello covid is overOh well...I ordered a decaf Americano with 1/2 and 1/2. Why do I drink decaf? After years of being a barista myself, I developed a sensitivity to caffeine... but I still love coffee. Thats why.Anyway, I knew there might be a problem when the counter clerk couldnt correctly repeat what I had ordered back to me. An iced americano? No, a decaf. An americano with cream? Ayayay... the masks really do not help people with hearing impairments nor people with the mumbles (myself)So I waited. The people in front of me had already gotten their drinks and then the person behind me received his. So when the next order was a 12 oz americano with cream, I looked around and came to get it because all evidence would suggest it was mine.I asked the Barista if it was Decaf and she snapped back this is a regular americano with cream never considering that she made the wrong order. I looked around again. Nobody was waiting for a drink, and honestly I know from experience that a 12oz decaf americano with 1/2 n 1/2 isnt THAT common of an order.So I waited maybe half a minute and I just left. I just couldnt stand being in such an unwelcome space anymore.I get that baristas are pretty much legal otc pharmacists and arent always the kindest bunch. They dont need to be as long as they make your drink correctly. Thats the caveat though, right?

Most unique type of coffee I personally have ever had. The summer moon and the winter moon coffees are both fantastic hot or iced. For newcomers, the full moon coffees are super sweet. I’d probably order a 1/2 moon if you like moderately sweetened coffee.Other items on their menu are just as great. A secondary favorite of mine is the chai tea.Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, willing and happy to walk through any of their menu items in detail.

Summer Moon Coffee is by far the best coffee shop experience I have had in a long time, especially beating out the mega-chain we all know. I had a whispermoon, which is just a splash of moon milk in a tasty latte, and it was a perfect hot drink - just the right amount of sweet and plenty hot. I will be back here every time I am in the area. Or maybe when I am not in the area 😁

The coffee shop itself was really cute and the girls behind the counter were super sweet and helpful. I got drip coffee with a splash of coconut milk and paid what I would have anywhere else. I would say that the coffee was really solid and did not need to be doctored much, if any at all, to be drinkable.

Such great food, I had a breakfast omelet, it was huge! The coffee was delicious as well. The scenery and atmosphere is great and super unique.

Great coffee shop experience, especially considering theres only big chain coops around, nice to see smaller businesses thrive.

I love how you can spike your drinks with horchata! There are also plenty of other non dairy options like almond milk and even oat milk. There are even vegan and gluten free pastries like muffins and cinnamon rolls. I recommend the pop tarts :)

The Barrista is always talking too much whenever I go to this place. Every time. So much so i think they must be told to engage the customers that way. I guess Im too old to appreciate slow service. I like a line to move and not have to stand waiting for conversations to end. But it certainly is friendly. If that is the model they are cultivating, they are very successful. The hot chocolate was great, despite the tedious wait. The coffee is pretty good too. If the service was better, Id recommend the experience but I cant.

This is a lovely coffee bar! The inside is clean and modern, and the staff very helpful to a first time visitor. My Whispermoon is wonderful. Just the right amount of sweet to balance the rich notes of the espresso. This will be my go-to coffee shop every time I am in San Marcos!

Very nice place and there is lots of parking, not like near campus. The moon milk is great, I always get a quarter moon and thats sweet enough for me! And they can always do non-dairy options. Thanks for your work!

Great coffee and food.

Summer Moon coffee spoils me with great service and wonderful delicious coffee! I tried the order online and pick up for the first time and it was too easy and convenient I’m afraid this is going to be my new routine.

I ordered 8 drinks online during the COVID 19 period. They left the drinks outside in 88 degree weather and by the time I got to the office (10 minutes away) the ice had completely melted.

NO OUTLETS! Ok, I exaggerate. There is one table with outlet access (obviously the one that is always taken). I came with the intention of staying a while, but cannot due to my power requirements. This is the only Summer Moon out of the 4 I’ve had the pleasure to visit in this predicament. Unfortunately I will need to cut my stay short and probably won’t be returning to this particular location. Everything else is outstanding. Very clean, friendly staff, excellent beverages of all coffee kinds. Decor, music, and overall atmosphere is delightful.

Easily one of my favorite places to get coffee in San Marcos. If youre itching for something sweet, I recommend the 1/4 Summer Moon with Cinnamon. Otherwise, you cant go wrong with their drip coffee black.

Seriously, the best coffee! If you have not tried this yet what are you waiting for? You need to drive there now. There is one downside, you will be addicted to the sweet sweet moon milk and wood fire roasted beans, so if you have an addictive personality, may want to skip, cause this nectar of the gods is like crack.....

It’s 7:47PM On 1/21/19 and I’m stopping by for coffee. And they are closed! This is SO disappointing, they had chairs inside and lights off. Closing says 8PM. They lady tried to not acknowledge me and went to the back room. I drove across town to grab some coffee before they close. I will agree that this coffee is amazing, BUT, I wish their employees will stay open like the door sign has advertised. Management needs to look into that.

Best latte in town. I get the quarter moon. I also get their fresh roasted beans. Havent tried any I didnt like.

Coffees were 1 for 2 and cinnamon roll leathery on a Monday. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Its okay, kinda expensive and the staff could be friendlier.Update 4/24/2021 ordered 2 20oz coffees which is their large and 2 pop tarts that tasted like cardboard.. very expensive cost $23! I reccomend Starbucks or a local place.

Having a tough week, and an even tougher day today. Thought maybe coffee would be a good way to try and get out of the slump, and I get there, tried to pay for the coffee, and my card didn’t work, tried to get a hold of my bank and no answers. They gave me the coffee anywase, regardless of how small the gesture is, it definitely was a light on a dark day. This place is awesome.
