Fridge died today. It is still under warranty but repair guy can’t come for 5 days. We came to Advanced Maytag looking for an extra fridge to put in the basement to be a backup and overflow fridge. They were so nice. They had the perfect fridge and arranged for today delivery rather than waiting all weekend. Delivery guys were nice and professional. Excellent service. THANK YOU!
We had our dishwasher serviced by Eric E today and as usual, he was excellent. He is always on time and friendly and makes sure the job gets done the way it is supposed to. Often he goes beyond what is required to make sure we are happy and well cared for which is a pleasure in the service industry these days. Considering he has been to our home to service other appliances, and we have never been disappointed, we would highly recommend him!

I went to the store and showed a store representative my dryer that has an internal issue and he said thats the felt pad that costs i$50 and $149 for the service.I called for a service and they asked for the model and serial number and told them whats wrong with my dryer. The guy said hell send someone and have to check it . Eric came and looked at my dryer and told my husband that Maytag discontinued that model and said theyll give me $50 credit from the service fee if I buy a dryer from them.I called the manager, and explained to him what happened. He keeps on insisting that the guy went there anyways, so I have to be charged as their policy. I told him I dont mind paying the $149 if he fixed it when in fact I already gave them the model number and presumed he could have brought it with him,since all he did was cut the hanging pad which I could have done it myself for free. The manager wont listen and I told him they have a bad costumer service and of course he cashed my check. He could have called me before that and told me that they dont have that felt pad, then I wouldnt called for a service.I know business is not doing good lately but to scamming a customer is not acceptable. Please avoid this business! They just want to take your money.
I have used Advanced Maytag for both purchasing appliances as well as repair service for over 15 years and we have NEVER been disappointed !! Service rep Erichas been to our home on several occasionsFor installation and repair and I normally do not follow through with reviews but Eric has performed above and beyond the call of duty!!! He is always prompt, pleasant and professional but what blows us away is how we can ask him any questions about not only the appliance he is working on, but other appliances that we are concerned about both for repair or just some simple instructions on the proper way to use them.The reason we keep coming backIs because of the service we receive from Eric and the staff at the store! I do not write these reviews often but I highly recommendAdvanced Maytag!!! Great job done by everyone!

I have purchased many appliances throughout the years from Advanced, as have my parents and family. They have also done all of our appliance maintenance. I am a firm believer in shopping local with people you can trust. The owners, sales people, delivery, and service guys are always a pleasure to deal with and their prices seem to be about the same as the big box places. It is always nice to buy from someone who actually knows about what they are selling. The service guy (I think his name was Eric), actually convinced me to fix my washer vs. buying a new one. Saved me a bunch of money. I regularly recommend then to friends and family.
This is my go to place for appliances. The benefits of each model is explained to me. Friendly service. They went the extra mile for me.. Came out and measured to see if I would have a good fit for a refrigerator. Good prices.
Don was super helpful when I went in looking for a new dishwasher. Showed me all of my options and provided all the information I needed to make my choice. I definitely recommend stopped here for your appliance needs! I will be returning in the future for my other appliance needs!
I am a first time home owner and needed a washer and dryer real bad. I originally went in to see if I can get some repairs done and was greeted and helped by a sales guy named Ryan. Man, does he have patience. I asked probably a million questions. He walked me through all about my unit and how cost effective it would be to buy new. I know it seems like I got roped in but he never was a sales guy he explained everything to me and really educated me. I did some shopping around and was off set as no one compared to the excellent treatment I got here. By far my place to go, got a couple people heading that way!
I do not recommend using this place.Reasons: they lie about pricing. They charge $50 just to diagnose your problem and they inflate your repair charge.I paid $148 dollars to repair the door switch and fuse on a 1 1/2 year old Maytag microwave.Do not use this place, you will regret it.
We recently bought a washing machine from them. The sales staff were very helpful and explain the options to us. Delivery was quick and easy and they will take away your old washing machine and installed a new one for a little price.

Buyer beware!Their technician, Eric, came to diagnose a problem with my grandmothers washing machine, which I was present for. Eric came in, stuck his hand under the machine, which left some dusty residue on his finger. I watched as he wiped his finger on his pants and stated that it was an oil leak, and proceeded to explain that it would be a $500-$600 to repair. I did not see oil anywhere, and there certainly was no oil on his finger. He then explained that he could sell her a new machine and install it for $597.90, but insisted that she (my grandmother) should get to their store immediately to purchase a new washing machine. He charged $99 for his work and left, spending no more than thirty seconds of attention on the washing machine.Suspicious of Erics lack of effort, his instance on my grandmother buying a new washing machine, and the fact that there was no oil on his finger, or on/under the machine, I called another appliance mechanic; one that I know personally. He reinforced my skepticism in Erics work, and came to take a look at the machine. He lifted the machine and immediately pointed out that there was no oil leakage whatsoever; none on the floor, none on the machine, nowhere. He then said that he could fix it in approximately 45 minutes, with parts costing $230.I called Advanced Maytag Home Appliance (Erics employer) the following day and asked an alleged manager to refund my grandmothers $99 due to the technicians lack of effort and his dishonesty regarding an alleged oil leak. The individual claiming to be the manager aggressively defended Eric for approximately one minute, before putting Eric on the phone. I confronted Eric on his seemingly intentional misdiagnosis (oil leak). Eric informed me that they would not refund the $99, even if I proved to him/them that there was no oil leak (I offered to send pictures and/or videos). He stood by his diagnosis of an oil leak. I asked for honesty and fairness by granting a refund, but he continued to rudely refuse, before hanging up.The mechanic that I know personally, purchased the parts for $230, and fixed the machine in 45 minutes. There was no oil leak.Too many companies take advantage of peoples lack of knowledge of a product, and they engage in dishonest business practices to make a buck.If youre looking for integrity and honesty in a company/service, please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

My wife and I need a new washing machine. We decided to go to Advanced Maytag because of its Maytag affiliation, and the fact that it was a neighborhood store-front and not a big box. We hoped their personnel would be more familiar with Maytag products, and secondarily, were curious if they would be able to match big-box pricing.Advanced Maytag meet both of our objectives. Rich Lindblom was not only knowledgeable about his products, but he knew his competition (including our current machine which has just given up the ghost). He calmly and professionally inquired about our needs, reviewed each of his product lines, explaining pros and cons of each. Never once did I feel like we were being pressured or directed to more product than we needed.I would recommend Advance Maytag to anyone considering appliances and in particular ... ask for Rich Lindblom, hes the BEST.

Self-proclaimed business owner hung up on me and cancelled my appointment, after I asked him to provide me my appointment time slot.I have a Nicor home solutions warranty on my washer/dryer. My initial visit yesterday went great. Serviceman was polite and efficient. He told me I needed to replace the rubber lining of the washer and that he could order it and get me a follow up appointment later in the week. He told me to call advanced appliance the next day to find out what time slot(s) would be available for the visit as he did not know what the schedule looked like. When I called today, a man answered the phone and was immediately rude asking me to repeat my question several times which was very simple what time/time slot was available for the follow up visit. He then told me he did not know why I was calling because they do not give appointment times and that the service person would never tell me to call for a time slot. He then told me that the nature of my call was ridiculous and that he was going to take care of the issue by cancelling my appointment all together. I could not believe how he was reacting to my inquiry, so I asked to speak with the owner or manager of the company and his response was that he was the owner and that I could ask Nicor for another servicer and then hung up on me!All because I asked for an appointment time slot. Seriously?Worst customer service!

(You can respond to a comment without creating a review which is what a normal company would do)Im married to the HONEST man who was the one who actually fixed the washing machine. Not sure what after market parts youre speaking of. The parts came from Automatic appliance parts, if youve been a technician 18 years im sure youve been there.There was 0 oil found during the repair. You were dishonest and tried to take advantage of someone and now youve been called out on it and are throwing a tantrum like a child all while giving yourself a 5 star review to make your company look better. Maybe its time to retire because your customer service and repair ability are both bad, really bad.
Richard Lindblom is the man to see when looking for a new dishwasher. My wife and I are very happy with the dishwasher that we purchased from Maytag, and the installation crew did a great job as well!
