We have been seeing Dr. Nelson Murata annually for over 20 years. His examination is very thorough. All of our past visits are on computer so he can easily compare them to the current exam; also to review any notations made during earlier exams. When it was time for cataract surgery, he recommended someone who we could not have been more pleased with. The facility is very spacious and their equipment is very modern. The staff is very friendly and courteous. They also have snacks for you you while you wait. We definitely can recommend Murata Eyecare.

Office was clean and impressively modern. I had tests I’ve never heard of before. Dr. Murata figured out why I’m having the issues I’m having quickly. I’ve been struggling to find answers with other doctors for 2 years. He is honest and up front wth his answers.The office seems to be run very efficiently.

Dr. Karyln Murata was very nice and my visit was pleasant. However, the eye exam she did for me was wrong and because of that, my lenses were off and I have been unable to use my glasses. I had to move to another state due to the pandemic; and, when I called the office once I returned to the state to get help, Debbie the receptionist told me there was nothing they could do. I only wanted to get my lenses replaced and I thought that this office and Drs would stand by their work product, but I guess I was wrong! Debbie told me they could remove the lenses, which was laughable, since what good is a pair of empty frames???! I will not be returning to an office that doesnt do the right thing by the customer and this office did very poorly in that regard. After speaking with my Insurance, I am filing a claim against this office for my last visit and eyewear.

No problem honoring warranty on glasses.My lenses had scratches from normal wear and tear.Replacement lenses were ordered and arrived less than 2-weeks later.I dropped off my glasses and the lenses were replaced with 90-minutes.Great service!

Each time, the staff has been friendly and helpful, the office is immaculate, and Dr. Murata is a great doctor; he answers all of my questions clearly and concisely, but he seems to really enjoy his job because he gets kind of excited when I have questions.

Dr Murata went out of his way to make sure my three pairs of glasses will be made perfect. He not only checked them once but twice since I get progressive lenses. I got my first pair just to make sure the prescription and the progressive lens were right. I would definitely recommend Dr Murata. His attention to details is a great quality.

Ive always had great experiences since coming to Murata Eyecare. Everyone from the receptionist, to the staff to the doctors have always taken care of me. On my visit yesterday, I felt safe in watching all of their procedures to insure everything was disinfected and clean. It was nice to see the doctor wash her hands in the room I was in. I got something in my right eye and Dr. Mutant and his staff got me fitted in to the schedule so He personally took care of the problem. It ended up he found a piece of paint blew into my eye and caused redness and iritation.It is now healed up no damage to my eye, Thank you to Dr. Mirata and the staff.

During times of Covid, businesses have to be careful of how customers enter their place of business. Dr Muratas office is a perfect example of taking safety precautions from the time you walk in, to getting serviced, to saying good bye. Professional and clean. The staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable. My encounter with Ashley was fantastic with a Bubbly demeanor. My eye exam with the doctor was another pleasure of professionalism yet a personal and friendly demeanor. The office had moved within the strip mall and now is brighter and very nicely set up. I felt this to be more like a family then a eye doctor office. Everyone deserves a congratulations for making my visit feel like home. I did need new glasses and the state of the art equipment made this p[ossible. Thank you all.

Great work here. The testing equipment is the most current and up to date you will find, nothing here is old our outdated. My vocabulary is expired but bad feelings are not.This place is dangerous. They dont clean an equipment between customers. They covered chairs with plastic and think that its enought. Many people write that they are clean but you cant see the virus. Their small offices have no windows and have no ventilation.They will be super spreaders of Covid-19.

This is a tough one star to give, Ive been going to Dr Murata for a very long time. He is probably the best in Simi. Today was a bad experience there, I dont care to conduct the business with the receptionist from across the room. You have your covid rules you have here please wait to be assisted but dont ask me why Im there before you come and take my temperature and let me come in where we can discuss it in private. I dont want to shout across the room why Im there to see the Dr. In fact if you had ever happened to take a class on HEPA you would know this. I am done and will never return so just burn my chart and lose my phone number.

I’ve been going to this place since I was a kid. It was my first time in their new office/store this last time I went. It’s amazing! It looks small from the outside but it’s huge and gorgeous once you walk in and to the back where all the rooms are. Good quality machines, top of the line most likely. They are being very careful and clean and have a good system especially with covid right now. They never disappoint, so much so, I moved away to Santa Clarita and I still make the drive once a year to them!
