I drove an hour to get a test drive of the new VW ID.4. While I had researched it a lot, I had yet to see one in person. When I got to the dealer, they seemed extremely busy, but immediately started looking for a representative to help me. He was kind, quick to answer questions and immediately took me out to the car. For context, Im 23, and Ive had dealers say I couldnt drive certain cars because I looked like I couldnt afford them (even though Id have no trouble affording some of the cars I asked to test). My representative never discriminated at all when I asked to test drive. After checking my license, he carried the keys right into the car and we went for a test drive. While I test drove, he answered questions promptly and told facts about the car. I sometimes even told him quirks about the car he didnt know. He never tried to shove buying the car down my throat, he was very friendly and overall, it was a great experience. Highly recommend Stone Mountain Volkswagen.

I reached out to SMVW a few months ago about pre-ordering a 2022 Golf R. Lori kept in contact with me through the process, notified me when they could take a deposit, kept me updated on news about the car.As with any new car right now, its taking a while with the ports and semiconductor shortages. They happened to get in a Cerified Preowend 19 Golf R in the color and transmission type I was looking for and Lori called me immediately. They even let me transfer my deposit as a down payment if I wanted to.I came that night and test drove it - absolutely fell in love with it and went ahead and financed it, but needed to wait a few days to take delivery. Financing was easy as well, and they werent pushy at all. I got a more than fair deal for my trade, and for the Golf R.Ive bought 6 cars in my life, and this was by far the most pleasant and easiest experience Ive had. They are a little over an hour from me and that will not stop me from considering them when I get the itch again.
I am from out of state and was passing through and needed service, I thought id have to schedule an appointment but with their first come first serve feature I was able to get serviced in a timely manner, The service and wait was very reasonable and so worthwhile Im so so satisfied with their service I wish I lived in GA so I could make them my dealer! Literally got a jetta 2 years ago and it has caused us nothing but issues. Weve asked for help because payments are so high even on lease. Tried to come in because we got a letter stating that they could help if we get another car. We already have one so we asked if we can do a trade in. We wasted 3 hour drive plus 3 hours there for them to say that they cant help us. So sick of them. All they do is scam. Cars are so pricey and they are not even fancy. My car now, Nissan Rogue, is a heck of a lot better than 75% of their cars. Never gonna go there again!

The people in the service room were so very helpful and talked me through everything! Its like there wasnt something they couldnt do for me! One man in particular was so kind to me and made everything so easy! I will always come here for repairs and service.
My car was repaired in record time! I explained that I needed a ride to work and they took it personal to get my car fixed so I wouldn’t basically lose my job. My mechanic Gregory is an Angel and a helper, going out of his way to help when he didn’t have to. I was amazed that EVERYTHING was repaired so fast. Especially my DRLs which hadn’t burned in over a year!
The service was on point, customer service was very polite & professional. My check engine light was on, I scheduled an appointment online & it did not go through, however when I arrived & explained my situation they fit me in with no problem. I was extremely grateful.

Waited over 4 hours for a routine oil change with an appointment. Estimated time upon arrival was given as 1hr and 30 minutes. After several hours went to check the status of my car and was informed that my car was raised up in the garage and the staff had left for a meeting. Was then informed that oil change was now done on a first come first serve basis regardless of appointment time. Disappointed with the service department at the Stone Mountain location.

Ours is a crazy story. We have been searching for the perfect Landcruiser. We happened to see an add for one matching everything we wanted. Carlos contacted me in an answer to our inquiry. I knew we wouldn’t be able to travel to Atlanta for a few weeks. So he was able to help us out with all the paperwork and put a hold on the vehicle until we made it over. We’ve been eyeballing the Volkswagen Arteon for awhile, and we couldn’t find one exactly how we want it until we found Volkswagen of Stone Mountain. I want to make a compliment to the saleswoman Lori Smith. We felt no pressure buying the vehicle from her, and honestly one of the most pleasant sales people I’ve ever met. I do have one minor complaint to share, and that is one of the sales managers at the dealership. I do not recall of him ever giving us his name. He could not make eye contact when we negotiated, and he kept folding up the sales sheet which broke down the price, keeping it out of my sight. Eventually he gave up on us and walked away, but Lori came back to check on us. The sales manager hid in his office and ate his lunch and never spoke to us after that. I wish Lori Smith was the sales manager, because honestly this guy was going to let us walk away over a $900 difference of the deal. This guy would rather you walk away rather than sealing the deal. In conclusion, we are happy with the car and thank you Lori Smith.If I could, zero stars on the sales manager.Five Stars for Lori Smith

Tony was very considerate during the shopping and test drive experience. He was able to locate the vehicle I wanted, have it delivered to Stone Mountain, and pulled off the birthday surprise along with my husband. I did have one issue the first weekend I owned the vehicle, but the service department is handling getting the part, took me to and from work, and my drivers were very personable. They even washed my vehicle before I picked it up. I feel like I received a fair price for the new vehicle, and a great trade-in value. I recommend giving this dealership a chance at earning your business.

I recently was involved in a bad car accident and I was leasing from Volkswagen. I was not at fault for the car accident but I feel like I might as well have been. When asked to reapply my graduate discount I was told that it could only be applied once. I did not have my car for a month before it was totaled and I feel like an exception could have been made. I drove to this dealership to get a new car; waited there for hours to be inconvenienced and disappointed. In the end they didn’t have the car at the dealership and I was told I would have to wait 1 to 2 days to get the car after being there for hours. Have a had a better experience here before but after this one I will not be returning.
Recently moved to a new home which is closer to Stone Mountain VW than my old dealer. Made an online appointment for Saturday morning and was met by Chris at the service desk. Friendly and efficient, he showed me around and kept me posted on progress as I waited in their seating area. Dealer service is usually more expensive but after being burned twice at quick oil change outlets, and nearly losing my engine due to the wrong oil filter being installed, I will gladly pay a little more for peace of mind.
I cannot say enough good things about Rachel and Robert in the service department! With a career in the car industry, my schedule is aggressive to say the least, but they always make the process so seamless with getting my car in, getting me into a loaner, and getting me taken care of. They truly do an amazing job!
This place changed. they are not as efficient as they used to be. I took my car there for a oil leak they said they didnt see one but i needed my thermostat changed i got it done. Then they said they see the oil leak. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!!!!! You lost a customer. DO NOT GO HERE.

We bought a 2021 Volkswagen Atlas from this dealership. The salesperson who sold us the car was very nice during the process. However, the car came with no mats, no carpeted mats nor monster mats, because they werent any at any of the dealerships (or so we were told). My husband went online and ordered the mats and got them within a week. When we went to the dealership to pick up the mats, we were then told that the Atlas doesnt come with mats, however the cars on the lot had mats. We asked to be reimbursed and were denied by the sales manager David Schilpp. It turned a great experience into an unfavorable one. They would rather have their customers who just paid $45g for a vehicle upset over $150. Im in the market to buy a sedan and was thinking of purchasing a Passat, but I will not return to this dealership!
Great experience. Service center employees were very knowledgeable and could relay information in layman’s terms which is a plus for those who aren’t too knowledgeable.As for my service, it was quick and so far, no problems. I recommend asking for Greg if you have any vw Jetta issues, seriously.

My wife was in day one of a 6 Day Rd. trip from Florida to Massachusetts, when our car developed trouble just south of the dealership. She called up and made an appointment with the service department who were very nice when they answered her call. She then brought her car in to the dealership the following day early as it was better off being there if something opened up earlier than sitting in a hotel parking lot. My wife first dealt with Jason and then Greg. These two gentlemen were responsive, communicative and highly professional. They realized my wife was stuck between a rock and hard place and did everything they could to make the situation as good as they could. They got her car in the next day, diagnosed and fixed the problem and washed the car by 10 in the morning and my wife continued the trip safely with my children. I can’t say enough how appreciative me and my family are for the professionalism and courtesy.
Customer service was amazing but it took 2 hours to simply program a new key. That’s unacceptable I’m not a mechanic but I had been told when I made my appointment that it would take about 30-45 minutes. I’ve also had this same service done and it was a lot less than 2 hours. Still overall good dealership, but took way too long.

Horrible service. My mechanic told me that there was a timing belt issue, but to call Vw and it was still under warranty. Called vw and they said I had to take it to a dealership. I took it to VW Stone Mountain - worst decision. I should of gone to Jim Ellis even if it was further. They said it wasn’t a timing belt - okay. I paid to have it fixed since I needed the car. They told me I also needed fans replaced - my mechanic didn’t show that as a code and never mentioned it. I told them fix the main issue so I could take back to my mechanic to see if the fan was an issue. When picking up car (after paying) the battery was dead. I asked for the codes that they ran - battery never showed any codes. Battery was new. They did something to run the battery dead. First they told me that the battery could of died because it was old. I explained it was not old. They tried to tell me that new batteries could die anywhere. I told them that when my mechanic did a check the battery was never an issue or came up faulty. When they ran a diagnostic- including the checking of the battery - there was no issue. On my paperwork they provided - it showed the battery was good. Then why was my battery dead? Then they told me that it was because I didn’t replace the fans (that we suspected didn’t need replacing). Long story short - the manager wanted to upsell us getting the fans replaced in order for him to do anything about the battery that was at their care. I took back to my mechanic and he finds no issue with the fans. The fans have not been “constantly running” as they said they were. They claimed my battery was being drained because of the fans - and that was also false. They will try to upsell you for services you don’t need - and for that I will never go back, but I highly suggest that you find somewhere else to go. When I went they claimed to have excellent customer service and the best returning customers - but I found those statements to be false.
They stained the seating area with grease. But all mechanics do that. They cleaned it up nicely. Other than that, service is good and priced right
I had the best experience went in for just a diagnosis and left with everything fixed and cleaned. Mr.Jason helped me get every right. Definitely keeping them on speed dial.

Not sure if I would honestly try this dealership. Reached out as I was interested in a vehicle I saw on their website. Salesman called me in which I explained what I was trying to do and the vehicle I was interested in. I just got the feeling like there was just no interest in working with me. I ended up going to another dealership and worked out a deal.

Please do not bring your car here to be serviced. Find some other place that will actually do what they say they will do on time without excuses. Tried to reach the general manager but too many gate keepers to deflect you. Paid full price to get a front end alignment and they did not do anything to it but put it on the machine and unalign it. And the proof is on their documentation. In addition I had to schedule an appointment and still could not get the addl work done in a timely manner. Premium prices poor service.

Not only did they replace it but detailed our car as well since we were having to drive a long way to get it done. Such a great dealership, service dept and car salesman!
I recently purchased a 2021 vehicle Volkswagen Jetta GLI. Im very happy with the vehicle, sales and financing options were great. The staff treated me well and really bend over backward to ensure my experience was the best, Unfortunately all the positive comments are tainted by a negative experience. The car purchased had tinted windows that were too darl, per law enforcement. I called the dealer and was advised that they would remove the tint from the front windows and I agreed to pay for the re-tinting. The service associate ensured me the manager would call me back to arrange the process. I returned to the dealership twice over the week to inquire about the tinting process since I did not want to get a ticket or run afoul of the police. I left my contact information on each visit but never received a call back.I finally visited a tint shop any paid for the removal of the tint and subsequent reapplication. A call back would have made the process consistent with good customer service, This is the second car purchased from this dealer.. It will be my last.
