Poor COVID protocol. They had 2 checkout lines open. One at the service desk and the other right next to it. It is impossible to distance due to it. I tried to stay back to distance and the cashier was angry and said I had to move forward. When I spoke with the manager she said that theres nothing that she can do. I asked if she could just have the other cashier move one lane over she said that it was not possible and theres nothing she can do and she is following all the rules.

Poor service recently. Ordered pizzas and after waiting 15 min and checking in - they didn’t even start the pizzas and said another 25 minutes (10 min after ordering - the person making the pizza ran off to serve someone else at the burrito bar. Didn’t even get one pizza in the oven). There was plenty of staff wandering around so yeah maybe it’s busy but don’t leave a trainee alone to cover pizza, deli and burrito bar. Spoke to store manager and asked for accommodation and she threw the card down on the counter. Spouse just went in another time and cashier threw the produce/items down instead of handing items (not sure why no one was there to help bag, we are ok to bag our own but don’t throw it). If you want to rush - maybe help bag/pack? My wife had to reach around the plexiglass to get the items thrown down to her. Used to be our favorite Whole Foods but within a couple of months - now it’s close to banned. We will go to other Whole Foods where they will treat us with some level of respect.

The staff at this whole foods are SO helpful and friendly! In particular, Joe from the charcuterie counter helped us craft an entire charcuterie board and thoughtfully helped us pick the best items that would taste well together. He was super kind and you could just tell he was really passionate about his job-- he took the time to get to know what kind of flavors we like and made INCREDIBLE suggestions. We ended up buying everything he suggested and didnt regret a single item-- it was perfect.

I walked here in my sweatpants slightly hungover at about 9am on a Wednesday. It was just a few elderly people and some yuppies who stopped by while biking to work. I bought 1/2 gallon soymilk for 2.99 and knock off cinnamon toast crunch for 3.99. Tasted about how I expected it to taste.

Love the staff, and am grateful for the precautions taken during this trying time. For anyone who really needs a safe shopping environment, this should be your store. But the line is just enormous at any time of day. If you just need one thing, like a grab n go muffin, you will be waiting for upwards of forty minutes. At that point it’s no longer grab n go, and I’d be better off at Market Basket, where there are many dead times of day that the capacity is akin to Whole Foods.

Good selection.Informed and helpful staff.Clean and well lit. Background music isnt bad either.WhoFoo is more expensive than their competitors in our area. The trade off here is the value of your time vs the value in your wallet. The store that used to be here was a time sink. Finding the expiration date on the packaging of every item of interest, Checking each item rings up as expected. Here your time is saved because you can be sure things will be fresh and your receipt will be accurate and if theres a question or request staff will definitely follow up with you.Covid-19:Staff is cafeful and taking precautions.Surfaces are cleaned often.Customers are not careful, not thoughtful. I always have one or two fellow shoppers invade my personal space. It would be considered crowding even if there was no expectation of social distancing. Every time I go there I return and exclaim, never again because of the customers. Its too risky. I will be back often once the pandemic is over.

I was recommended Complete Foods by a good friend with an excellent moustache. His endorsement was tepid, but he is often on the mark. He is quite the character. Almost as if he is straight out of fiction. Despite being off on the name, his recommendation is quite suitable. The seem to be associated with the world wide webs largest bookstore, which I do not see the point of, but it was nice to have my reading habit benefit my search for sustinence.

Whole Foods is not what it used to be. The selection of items is hit or miss. You will have the best selection in the suburbs away from larger cities like Cambridge Ma. For those who can remember when it was Bread and Circus, its nothing like that anymore. The food selection is more main-stream then ever before, just catering to the masses.

Great little Whole Foods. Someone, despite the small parking lot, I can always find a space. It is a smaller store though so no meat counter and the produce isnt as expansive. They do have a seafood counter which has the basics and more. This place is well organized and everything but the employees are very not helpful. My friend came here to get a job and when she went they didn’t even give her the interview. Instead judged her by her appearance. The man that was on the phone the day before was the exact man who told her that the guy who was going to interview her wasn’t there but it was him the entire time. She can tell by his voice. I gladly give this Whole Foods 5 stars. The food and the products and the bakery depts are the usual fine quality of a regular Whole Foods. Its a little on the smaller side and if you want to eat here there only about 4 tables. They do have a bathroom that anybody can use and its usually the cleanest public bathroom in Somerville. What sets this Whole Foods apart are the staff.Mary Ellen a cashier the other cashiers, the management, seafood dept the bakery dept and the other depts are all extremely nice people. They are well trained relaxed and its always nice chatting with them if only for a second. That is why I go there. I dont go there for their prices I go there for them.Good people. And for those of you taking the T the 83 stops right there at the store. And for those who drive yes there is a parking lot.In the summer they have cookouts on the weekends in the parking lot.Last but not least if you need to find something ask the nearest staff member and they will not point you in the right direction --they will take you to where the product is.That is really nice too.Not your typical supermarket.☺! And unlike Walgreens and Starbucks they are nice to their customers. They are always nice to me in here. That is worth much more than 5 stars.
