Was from six hours out of town, brought in a 2015 jeep Patriot I just purchased. Was having some slight simple problems that wouldn’t let me drive car. They fixed problem and car has been running great since.

Went for an inspection sticker. I had a minor issue (inner tie rod), and they quoted me a fair price to have it fixed. Friendly staff, and good experience. Will be back.

The first job they did for my son was fine...it involved simple brake work. The second time he took vehicle to them, the mechanic was very confused about a pretty simple electronic job. He had to give him instructions on how to do a couple simple things to the vehicle and he is a novice mechanic at best. They charged him for over a hours worth of being confused....He left the shop with a light wallet and not a single repair. $110 left with nothing done....but im sorry, i dont know what im doing but i can keep trying for $80 a hour.....Go to Napa garage in charleston....cost more but the mechanics are by far better trained. This place wasted his time and money.

I was referred to Chestnut by a friend about 2 years ago; since that time my truck has gone into this shop a dozen times at least for everything from routine maintenance (oil change, brakes, etc) to muffler/4WD/chassis/etc … just about everything that can and does happen to a work truck; speed and quality of service has always been first rate on every occasion and I have grown to trust the judgement and integrity of the owner and his wife implicitly. No fancy waiting rooms etc here, just a rock solid auto repair business that will get you in and out in a timely manner at a fair price. Five star shop.

Dont come here unless you want to be treated like a fraudulent criminal! We have always taken our vehicles to Chestnut Street Auto Service in Spring Hill for inspection stickers and always recommend them to family/friends, but after todays experience we definitely wont be back there! The lady was extremely rude to my husband questioning his registration because it didnt say transfer or renewal at the top. He went and parked to wait like they told him to then when he went back in to check they said they thought he left because he got scared trying to pass a fake registration We definitely did not have a fake registration we waited nearly 2 months to get it and our new tags after we bought the truck! in Kentucky. Very embarrassing to treat someome that way and in front of other customers she was even comparing his registration to someone elses! She finally said after all this the only reason it didnt say that at the top because the truck had never been registrated in WV! She didnt apologize or anything! Just completely unacceptable to treat a returning customer like that whos been there multiple times in the past! Treating someone like a criminal before even knowing the facts is super unprofessional!

Absolutely professional grade service here. At a very reasonable price. And they get-er done. I am in my 60’s and have been to a lot of shops. And this is the real deal. Would recommend highly.

Ok so I go to get an alignment they told me $69 for an alignment witch I had it inspected at NTB for free and it even told me it was out of alignment but they couldnt do it so took my car to chestnut street auto do to the good reviews the guy that looked at my car told me it wasnt out of alignment and that it was fine well heres the problem the owner whom I talked to on the phone gave me the price for an alignment told me $69 to do the alignment did not specify if they just look at ur car and DO NOTHING they will charge you anyways I came in expecting an alignment done nothing was done all they did was check it and I know my self it is out of alignment it pulls right when on a straight stretch. So the owner went ahead and charged me witch I think is Dirty of doing so, with taxes it came out to be $75 so now I am down $75 for nothing done to my car. I will suggest anyone who wants there alignment checked go else were and make sure they dont charge NTB doesnt charge. Also filled a complaint with BBB.

Absolutely amazing experience beginning to end with these gentleman. I had several things wrong with my vehicle, I needed a break line fixed, oil changed, and all my tires balanced. After all that and some minor things my truck drives amazing. I drove to and from North Carolina a few days after the repairs and Im beyond satisfied with the experience. Forever customer made.

When the tow truck dropped off my vehicle for repair at Chestnut Street Auto Service, the owner and his right-hand assistant reassured me that they would do their best to get me back on the road that same day. I raised a dubious brow, Today? But the other mechanics said it would take a FEW days. (The serpentine belt and tension pulleys broke). I needed an inspection sticker, so I thought I would try this place. The lady at the front desk actually drove my car into the bay, so Im sure she noticed that my ABS light was on, which is something that almost automatically fails you at most places. She told me I couldnt pass once she came back, I said well Ill just take it then. She asked if I wanted it looked over I said sure. Then when time to check out, she puts a rejected sticker on. I mean seriously! That was extremely unnecessary. If I were dishonest I couldve pulled the fuse. So now I have 5 days to fix things that are not pressing issues. Thanks for nothing. I will never return to pay for a rejection sticker.

My best friend went to this establishment to have a ball joint fixed and not even one week after it had been “fixed” the tire fell off. Not only was it obviously not fixed but they refuse to take any responsibility for the problem. Absolutely horrible service if you ask me.

I took my truck to Lahoda Brothers in North Charleston to be inspected. They gave me a LONG list of repairs totaling $2000. I then took it here for a 2nd opinion. It was also running rough. One coil had failed and that cylinder was not firing. The only thing they found on the inspection was a blown brake light. They even stayed late to replace the coil and gave me the option of getting my truck that dayI will ALWAYS take my vehicle herefor repairs. They are honest and and very reasonably priced.

This place had been suggested to me a few times in the past but because it was a bit far from me, I never went. Finally, I gave them a try. I cant believe how stupid I was for not going sooner! I will never go any where else. If you think you one thing wrong with your car and it is not or it is something else, they will tell you rather than doing what you thought was wrong and then fixing what was wrong. Their prices and excellent, the people working there are just the BEST and they do everything to make YOUR life easier by getting you car in and out, even with no appointment. Never go anywhere else!

They wouldnt pass my inspection unless I agreed to use their old tire. They kept telling me the tire would at least last 10 k miles. Well it blew out before it reached 200 miles. They refused to help or refund me. What a bunch of shady ppl. This place has gone downhill since the change of ownership.

Disappointed with this place. I dropped my car off as soon as they opened, and had called the day before. I wanted my car looked at to see what all it would need to pass an inspection (its from out of state). I was told Id get a call at some point during the day to let me know when I could pick it up. After waiting all day with no call, I finally called them myself and was told they had not gotten a chance to look at it at all. I needed my car for the next day so I had to get a ride to go pick it up.I understand them being too busy to take a look at it, but to leave me waiting all day and not even call me to let me know was very disappointing and felt very disrespectful. I was hoping to find a good place in Charleston that I could trust with my car, but it looks like I chose wrong. Needless to say I will not be coming back to this place and would not recommend it to family or friends.
