My experience might be good if anyone would ever call me back after leaving 3 messages. This is my first new car in years and I bet I dont buy one from Joe Holland again. Nice to have that great warranty but if you cant use it I guess its not so great.
I have a 16 model GMC sierra, are use the truck for work every day lawn care business snow Removal etc. under warranty truck had the condenser replaced and the compressor for the AC. At first they tried to not cover it under warranty with a price of $1900,After contacting another local dealer they covered it under warranty. No attention to detail or they didn’t care but they left my wires for the snow plow hook up, with no zip ties and not in the proper place on the top of the radiator shroud out of the way. Instead they let them hang and rub on my alternator pulley damaging for wires and severing one. Luckily it wasn’t the one that was hot all the time with voltage. They need to pay attention to detail and use some common sense, I’ve worked flat rate for years and I know how it is to get it and get it out for the time and go onto the next one.But I could’ve caught fire, while I was driving and I could’ve had to replace expensive motors to the hydraulics and the switches. Luckily I caught the in fraction and I won’t go back and I won’t send anyone I know there.
Were unfortunately purchased our vehicle at Yes Chevrolet but they couldnt give me an appt.for 6 days later. Guess they expected me to drive with the engine light on and misfires.Joe Holland took the vehicle in right away. Will definitely be doing business with them from now on!
Took my mk6 in for scheduled maintenance of a timing service. Didnt bother to check the VIN, ordered parts for my wifes old mk7 (entirely different chassis and engine) proceeded to tell me their records indicate my car was totalled in April (her mk7 was totalled in February by the owner after us) fought back and forth up to getting the shop manager involved without ever checking physical VIN ON MY CAR. by happenstance I found the digital RO they sent to my old email allowing me to see they were ordering parts for a car 3 years newer. first promised date the car skipped time on the test drive (crank bolt was not tightened) replaced valves and reconditioned head and put it all back together for the ECM to magically fail on the second promised date. 3 days after a month of it being there. fast forward to Sept 21 a month and a day after the initial promise date and I show up to my car almost 2 quarts over full on oil with the axle shield not bolted to the block and a scratched up rim.DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME OR THE CONDITION OF YOUR VEHICLE.
Took my car there for a recall on my ignition, they never hooked mybattery up that I unhooked when it got there.not to mention the big debt and 2 huge scratches on my car. To beat it all my car has yet to start. They want $752.00 for the computer they shorted out. Car ran fine before wont even turn over.
The staff is very friendly, but the service is terribly slow. Make an appointment, be FIRST in line, and it still takes 4-5 hours AT LEAST for general service, such as an oil change and recommended services at a certain mileage point (i.e. inspect hoses). This just does not make sense to me. Additionally, they messed up my alignment the first time veering it too far to the left. Brought it to their attention immediately and at my second visit now it’s too far to the right. This concerns me that an alignment cannot be performed accurately by professionals. I can tell the difference and I’m completely incompetent in the mechanic world. Lol.So now, I’ll print out the recommended service for each mileage point and search for a reliable and trustworthy mechanic due to the long wait times for general services and errors in minor service such as an alignment.*****NOT TO MENTION - They let someone drive off in my car before. Lol. But it was returned immediately as the other man’s car was identical to mine. I didn’t get upset but it very well could have ended differently!However, the price is not too bad and you can receive coupons in the mail - but are you really willing to wait that long? Are you willing to let someone work on your car who may not be skilled enough to accurately do an alignment? What if you need a water pump next? Food for thought ...
I will never be using Joe Holland ever again.I have a used 04 Impala. A little while ago the brake fluid alert came on. I had to get an oil change and inspection sticker anyway so I made an appointment, suggested the brake lines might be leaking (since the alert came on) and dropped my car off for its 7am appointment.Later THE NEXT DAY, after calling multiple times wondering what was going on with my car I finally got a call back from them. Apparently they wont pass my inspection without fixing the brake lines, a new tire, new brake pads, new sway bar, new headlights, and new windshield wipers quoting me for $4,090, way more than what the car is even worth. I said, no way ill just sell it for parts. They changed the oil, put a rejected sticker on it, and charged me $198 for them to tell me what was wrong with it.Luckily my Father in Law is really good with cars and wanted to take a look at it. Upon his inspection, there was NO BRAKE LINE LEAKAGE, the sway bar was like BRAND NEW, my tires just needed pumped up, and a quick tightening of the windshield wipers and they were working fine. After a few minutes we took it somewhere else and they out a sticker on it no problem. My brake fluid light was just malfunctioning.I dont even think Joe Holland even looked at my car. Either way, they lied to me about the repairs it needed. I will NEVER be going there ever again. I will NEVER be buying from them ever in the future. I hope you heed my warning and take your business elsewhere.
I had an appointment and still waited over an hour on a simple oil change. Also the bathroom was filthy, not great when you have a baby that needs changed.
Wanted to get some accessories for a Chevrolet, would have been five stars, but they had nothing in stock for a new vehicle, everything had to be ordered. The guy handling the order was awesome and that is why four stars, he saved the day.

Joe Holland Service has always taken excellent care of my vehicles. Weve had body work for minor collisions, replaced wheels and tires, and gotten several other services there. We always come back because the work is done so well.
They have had my vehicle for almost 2 months. never found out what the main problem was. kept telling me they were working on it and would call me to let me know something, never called. after a month i called and the mechanic said oh we forgot about that car. the only reason i herd something by now is due to speaking with a manager in person.
The service department always does a great job servicing my vehicle! They’ve been providing quality, honest service for years! I wouldn’t take my vehicle anywhere else.
Got me in right away, fixed it right the first time which was a surprise considering how busy they are due to the large amount of people who apparently does business with them.

The best Chevrolet Service center Ive been to. They are always busy, which shows how popular they are, they are always courtesy, friendly and polite. Everyone from the front counter Phyllis, to service advisors Carl and Josh, Lot Specialist Shannon, Service Managers Jim and Cody, Parts Counter Ronnie and Chuck, and all the professional service technicians working hard on all the vehicles. Mr. Joey Holland is a class act, sincere, honest and a good Christian man. If you want to be treated in a way that makes you feel like family, look no further!
Found the problem but its been over a week waiting on parts
They do a good job. They have WiFi and coffee and provide a shuttle service to take you home and pick you up when your car is ready. They are friendly and professional.
Every time I make an appointment they never honor it. I arrived ten minutes early and was told they will get to it when they get to it because they are busy. Very unprofessional. Used to love this place and now I loathe it.

I have bought my past five vehicles (including the two I currently own) from Joe Holland and from the same salesman. I have had good experiences purchasing vehicles from the company, but the service center is a complete disappointment. There was a severe lack of communication during my service. I dropped my car off at my scheduled appointment time and pulled directly up to the bay. I was told that someone would call once my problem was diagnosed but no one ever called that day or even the next day. I assumed that since I arrived early and pulled directly up to the bay that my car would be serviced in the order it was received. This was not the case at all. I called multiple times and was never able to speak to my service advisor. The second day my advisor called to say that my car was going to be completed that day however I never got a final call telling me that it was done. I stopped by the service center at the end of the second day only to be told that my car was not ready and still wouldnt be until the next morning. This put stress on my family due to not having my vehicle and having to find other means of getting everyone to separate destinations. I was assured that I would be notified early the next morning of the status of my vehicle but I never received said notification. I called again multiple times on the third day and still did not speak to my service advisor. My husband called and demanded that the service advisor take his call, which he did, and he was assured that I would be contacted with the final cost of my bill. It was over an hour later before I was contacted. I was able to pick up my car and so far it seems to be running properly, but the customer service was terrible. People typically need time to make alternate travel arrangements in the case of a vehicle being serviced for more than one day. It should be required that the service advisors keep customers apprised of the status of the work being performed, not to mention common courtesy. Im unsure if my next vehicle will be purchased from Joe Holland or not, but I definitely dont intend on returning to the Joe Holland Service Center unless I have no other option.

Place to go if you want to waste your day. We had a recall on our Malibu. Called earlier in the week and made an appointment. We were told well check it out - should take an hour or so, if they dont have the part then they order them and have you come back. Arrived at 7:30 am for our appointment, they pulled up the info and said it would be 1 1/2 to 2 hours. I asked about them stating they will check it out, at which their response was we usually have these parts in stock. I decided to wait since it would be completed. After 3 hours, they came out stating the tech recommended this and that....Asked about the recall and was told, The part was just delivered and the tech is starting on it now. As I write this, it has now been over 3 1/2 hours and I am still waiting. They were friendly and nice, just lack the proper communication skills to inform their customers of exactly what is happening.
My experience with Joe Holland garage was excellent!! Very friendly staff, professional mechanics, waiting area was nice with bathrooms and a coffee station, they had a cell phone charging station for all phone types. I didnt have a long wait for a oil change I reccomend making a appointment because they stay very busy! I will definitely go back to the one in South Charleston! They were all great at what they do ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐💯

This is by FAR the worse car repair shop ever. Never go here. They are so uncomprehendingly unreliable. My car was parked on the side of the straight and someone hit it in a hit and run, damaging the fender bumper axel and popping the tire. We took it and they said it would be 2 weeks MAX. We called for an update a few days before and they told us that it would still be ready on time because they just got the parts. Then we go and they tell us they haven’t even gotten the parts, this was a Friday. They said for sure it would be ready that Monday. Monday came, still no parts. They said the next Friday. That Friday came and they told us there were other cars ahead so they hadn’t gotten to us yet, they said we would be next in line and to wait until the next Monday again. That comes, still not out turn. They tell us that Wednesday, of course that comes, not ready. They tell us AGAIN that Friday it’s be ready. Not ready. Again, that Monday, still not ready. Basically it’s been OVER 4 weeks now and we go to pick it up and they only replaced bumper, not fender, and put a used tire on it. And they said that’s all they were supposed to do, which is simply not true. The owner is allegedly out of town and won’t take calls and they said that we’d have to wait until this upcoming Friday (it’s currently Monday) (resulting in 5 weeks by this Friday) to talk to him about it, because they won’t do anything without his approval. So now we just can’t do anything and what turn from 2 weeks MAX is now 5+ weeks and counting.
I would give this no stars but that isnt an option. The worst service ever. My fiancé sat down there from 10:40-2:30 for a simple oil change. He had an appointment at 10:40 and was on time and they said it would take an hour to an hour and a half. About noon he walked up to ask how much longer it would take and they completely forgot about his truck and didnt even have it pulled into the garage it was still sitting outside. He also has a vibration on his truck and asked if they would take a look at that. About one oclock he asked if they had looked at the vibration and they said all they did was rotate the tires and balance them and hope it fixes it. Didnt drive it to check or anything. So now have to make another appointment to get the vibration fixed because they didnt do their job the first time and it is still under warranty. We bought his truck in April and it is a 2019 and already having problems. I wouldnt recommend this service or a Chevy in general.
I had a car towed to Joe Holland recently, and I cannot speak highly enough of the customer service and their willingness to accommodate me every way they were able. Whereas the maintenance proved to be too costly for me at the time, and I did have the car towed back home to repair it myself, the service department provided exceptional customer experience.

Addressed my problem very quickly
We took our car to have the water pump and cooling fan replaced. It took several tries to get them to find out what all was covered under our extended warranty no one would ever call back! Once we found out we took the car to them at 9:00 am and didnt get the car back until 6:00 pm! They called me at 6:00 after they had already closed and wanted to know if we was coming after the car! Never got a call to let us know it would be done even when I called at 4:00 to see and was told he would check and call me back! They however was really fast to call back to tell me they recommend wipers and belt and filters that wasnt covered under they warranty! So they left the keys in the car with the invoice at the entrance for is to pick it up!!! We did agree to that so we would be able to have our car back thankfully we were close by to get it quick and nothing happened!!! Once we got the car back we noticed things from the glove box in the floor and the glove box had be gone thru!!!! Why they needed in the glove box we dont know! And the car had 8 miles put on it also! The paperwork said the milage was the same as when we dropped it off! It had a eighth of a tank of gas and when we got it it was on empty! They left greasy finger prints all on the hood of the car too!!! The glove box thing is the worst though because it was like someone breaking in your house and going through your stuff!!! We felt violated! I wouldnt recommend taking your vehicle here for any reason! They are fast to sell things but slow to repair anything and they also go threw your stuff and joyride your cars!
Awful, there are not enough room to put all the things that is wrong with this place.My aunt took her car in for an oil change. This appointment was SCHEDULED two weeks prior. My aunt is on oxygen. Her appointment was at 9am, they FINALLY finished with her car at 4pm and her oxygen actually ran out.On another visit they replaced her A.C. for the second time... Well apparently there was a blockage and they had to remove the refrigerant and to put it back in after they fixed it.... Ok... Now here is the kicker they actually started to CHARGE her for the refrigerant (remember I said they put back what she already had in there). Finally after lots of arguing the lady was like oh... Well they AUTOMATICALLY add it to the ticket...Just a couple issues of many .... Watch your Bill and double check.... Actually probably better to forget any warranties just go somewhere else

Horrible customer service! Do not listen to what the customer tells them, only focus on the obvious problem which then causes return trips for more service work. Will never use again if I have a choice. Awful!!!

The absolute worst auto shop in the county don’t even bother to make an appt because they can’t seem to keep them they’ve had my car for 3 days and and it was suppose to be done that day I keep getting the same excuses and promises that it will be done today but I check back and guess what still not done they’ll get it first thing in the morning they say but still not done they are going extremely overpriced and unprofessional completely unbelievable service !!!
Terrible communication and it’s irritating when u have to return a vehicle multiple times and then wait weeks for a part to come in.
Incompetent mechanics. I purchased my first new car from Joe Holland in 2014-2015ish, a Chevy Cruze. The car was out of alignment off the lot, took it to them 3 times and they couldnt get it right. Recently had them change my thermostat housing and the seal to the camshaft. Its about a week or two later now and I have antifreeze coming out of my engine. Also, I dont let these people change my oil anymore as they have now twice left my oil cap off. I need to change my transmission fluid but, they want $200+ to do it and honestly, I dont believe their mechanics can do it, I do not trust them. I should also mention that the few times Ive had them change my oil, Ive presented them with a coupon to have my oil, filter, and air filter changed for a reasonable price and theyve never honored it. I feel cheated every time I go here and its like my power train warranty is practically worthless, Im just going to do the work myself since your certified technicians cant seem to do their jobs right.

I called to get my exhaust manifolds changed I was told a price and to bring it in. When I took it in I waited over an hr for them to come back and tell me that where it is a 99 they would prefer not to work on it waisting my time to send me out of their door.....
