I went in for an oil change and got my state inspection sticker. They promptly took my car into the garage. I sat i the waiting area for what seemed like very little time talking with other customers. The gentleman came to get me when they were done so i could pay. No problems. GREAT SERVICE!!!!!!!! Jeff was great at Byrider! He didn’t push me toward any particular vehicle and was open to hear only what I wanted out of a vehicle, what my budget was, and was very clear about explaining the service agreement and insurance options.
So I got a car from them a week ago. Yesterday I had a bearing put in it. This morning my tire busted and I had to have my car towed because there was no spare once we got to the lot it took hours to get a new tire. My tire light is still on they said it was a sensor and they dont have the tools to reset the sensor.Now theres break dust all over my rims my cars running weird and its pulling me all over the roads. The tire that busted was the side they replaced the bearing in and they say it wasnt their fault they drove it on a completely flat tire and the rim is now shaking as Im driving and the steering wheel shakes as well. The service shop said this car was safe for my kids. There is a noise coming from the other bearing and my air-conditioning is leaking in my floor boards. I tried calling them after I left to tell them about the complications but they havent answered my calls. I would never recommend to get a vehicle from them. Im now stuck in this car with my children and I do not believe it is safe for them to be in. And they stated I cannot chose a different vehicle through them.
Jeff was very helpful, not in a pushy sales way but very informative. It took a while and there was a lot of papers to go over and sign but it was worth it at the end of the day when I drove my little Fiat away to its new parking space @my apartment 😁
My husband picked up my car this evening and didnt even get it home and all the oil leaked out of the car and the engine light and oil pressure lights came on. All 6 quarts of oil leaked out of it.. this is the 5th time we have had it back for the same problem and now Tomorrow morning it has to be towed back to them because it isnt even driveable. I am so sick of this.
I came in to JD Byrider because I couldnt get approved for a car anywhere else without having to put down an arm and a leg. After taking my info, I was approved and picked a car that I like. The salesman I worked with was easy to deal with and talk to. I nowhere near perfect, and they were able to help me get my own vehicle, so that I could establish more structured responsibility in my life.
This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with my entire life. If you enjoy having money and sanity I suggest you go anywhere but here.If I could give this company negative stars I would.

Nick walked me through the whole process, and I drove off the lot with the car I was looking at when I first walked in. The process is quite long, so when arriving, allow yourself about 4 hours. Between test driving 2 vehicles, paper work, watching their video, and final signatures, it took me from 9:15-1:00. But definitely worth it, and they do show car fax.

Definitely would not recommend to anyone in the future. The only reason I went here to begin with was because my sister and parents have gone in the passed with no problems. My credit isn’t the best so I figure why not we’ll give it a shot. Found a 2014 Jeep Patriot that I was in total love with. Went and looked at it it drove decent. Was newer the the jeep I was driving at the time and definitely had lower mileage. A week after I bought it was on my way to work and had to put gas in it for the first time. Gas cap is missing and the compartment is completely covered in rust. I’ll admit 100% my fault for not checking before buying the vehicle but I also would have never expected a gas cap to be missing from a car being sold on a car lot. Same night on my way to work the check engine like comes on and the remote start stops working(still doesn’t work even after having it “repaired”). Call in the next day get hung up on twice by the salesman who sold me the car on the lot after being told he wasn’t my listed salesman he just sold me the car. Ok fine he wants to play the technicality game because the salesman who took my financial information is currently working from home he wasn’t who filled out all the paperwork in office whatever. But any place willing to hiring a “salesman” that hangs up on customers after REFUSING to listen to things going on with a vehicle they sold needs a serious attitude adjustment.Now starts the issues with my title. Or lack of should I say. I bought this car back on 09-11-20. It’s now 01-01-21 and guess who still doesn’t have a title because of a screw up at JD Byrider? This girl. After once again getting hung up on, just shy of getting yelled at over the phone because the salesman was “having a bad day” and finally getting ahold of the sales manager after getting told they would not transfer me to the manager three times, the sales manager advised me it was a DMV issue and that the paperwork had been sent in. So I call the DMV once I finally get connected to a real person the DMV states they did in fact receive the paperwork for my title. TWO MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT MY CAR. And immediately returned them because JD byrider didn’t fill out the forms correctly to have my title switched from PA to WV. They were notified of this back in November on the 6th. Now we’re going on two weeks of me trying to call and get ahold of the sales manager after him saying he’d call back the next day because the person who had the answers to my problems had already left for the day two hours before they even close. I’ve tried calling back three times just to either be hung up on, get a hold of my favorite rude employee (note my sarcasm) or told the manager is busy and they’ll have him call me back. The south Charleston office is a joke and is very loosely considered a decent car lot in my book.

He was very helpful and was able to get me into the vehicle I wanted even though they didnt have it at South Charleston. He was able to get it transferred there so I wouldnt have to go to the other lot and start over. I highly recommend going to see him if your looking to purchase a car.
Recently my car needed servicing so I bought it in. It took a couple days to be fixed, but I was kept informed of each step that was taken to fix my car. I didnt have to call in, John contacted me with the status and submitted a reimbursement for my car rental while my car was being repaired. Great customer service and excellent communication.
I was planning on purchasing a vehicle paid in full up front over a year ago. As usual, I look around at the vehicles that caught my eye while my wife searched for a salesman so we can save time by seeing what vehicles were within my price range and mpg expectations. The office was empty and the salesman must have been using the restroom because he just popped up out of nowhere after my wife had exited the building. He immediately wanted to run my credit prior to even discussing my price range despite me making it clear that I wont be doing financing. Refused any information about any of the vehicles without wanting to run my credit. My wife is inexperienced in car shopping and gave him our ids and her social security card while I stepped away to release at least some of the frustration I had with this guy. I was able to retrieve the documents while he was in the middle of putting it into the system. He then asked if I wanted to purchase insurance for vehicles to test drive. It was obvious I had no interest in purchasing a vehicle, but he still kept going on about needing my information. It was a shady experience and actually called in the next day to make sure he actually worked there. And the first time any salesman had blatantly refused to provide any information about vehicles on the lot without running my credit despite that I had already explained that I was paying in full and not applying for a financing plan.Ive had friends who have had positive experiences with this location, but I just wasnt even going to entertain this guy and was already frustrated and pressed for time.
Had a horrible morning finding out my car was considered totaled after an accident. Went back to JD Byrider and Jeff Selas helped me purchase my second vehicle from them. I wasn’t prepared at all at the time, but they really helped calm my nerves and not be left car-less. Thank you Jd Byrider and especially Jeff!
This second time around there has been a wider selection of cars but my first time it was pretty slim. That’s the only reason why it’s 4 not 5. Everything else is amazing though. The people that work there actually work with you. It’s nice to have a process like they do where they take all of your finances into account. The warranty they have is a nice comfort as well. Over all I have no issues with JD and would recommend it to anyone looking to get a used car.

They are good helped me get s car at time it was necessary they helped kinda high priced recently got email that ask if I wanted to upgrade I need automatic now due to health issues they were helpful called me back and said approved told me what to bring I called when I was ready they immediately informed me they didnt have one they could work with three weeks later Im still waiting. Everytime same story. Im paying for a standard that usually sits in driveway and I bum rides to Dr and store unless its something I can get here in town. Not the greatest business but they try to help beware of very high prices

If I could give these guys 10 stars, I totally would.First of all, not only did they help me get into a car in the first place, when mine died last year, but the customer service has been excellent since then.Today I had to drop my car off at the service center, I thought for sure I had blown the engine up, thats what it felt like to me. Mark and those guys are Awesome! They not only worked me in so I wouldnt have to wait 2 weeks, but they had it ready in just a few hours (it was t the engine after all) and you know what it cost me? $25. Seriously! What other garage can you get anything done for $25?! Took my last car to get brakes, got charged $90 an HOUR for service. Picked my car up this afternoon, Mark was extremely friendly and very helpful. The next time I need a car, I know where Im going.Thanks guys! You rock!!!
I used to say that they were a good company but thats no longer true anymore. Anytime anything went wrong they was pretty good about repairing it. but thats no longer the case.they change some people and their policies. made it harder to get any repairs done I bought three vehicles from them and this third one is going to be the last. the only reason why I went ahead and went with them is because I thought their service department was good and it was worth the extra cost. now they charge you a $25 fee each for everything that they got to look at. and they still cant fix it I went in there three times to have them to fix my traction control. and they still cant fix it. also had them to look at my transmission because it has been acting funny and they keep telling me theres nothing wrong with it.also my headlight went out and they said they was going to charge me extra to change that because they would have to take the bumper off in order to get to the headlight I told him no and I will fix it myself which to change it was very easy only took me 5 mins to do and I didnt need to take the bumper off. also my mirrors never work ever since I bought it every time I put a fuse in there it would blow.the service department at JD Byrider in South Charleston is very incompetent BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fast, always courteous and service. I had called before about some lights being on. I had asked when I called if they were still on could the lights be turned off if there wasnt anything wrong and the person on the phone said yes. However, that did not happen when I took it in. I was disappointed but I still appreciate their fast and courteous services though. Just wish customers could come in without an appointment and get small issues fixed.

When we purchased our vehicle last October, we were weary of dealerships due to the prior dealership we had dealt with. Every time weve had to go for the regular maintenance and small repairs, the service department has been Amazing. Anyone who wants to go to a dealership filled with the Best staff and service, JD Byrider is better than the larger dealerships I have dealt with previously. I will recommend them to anyone who has a need for a new vehicle.
Do not go here even as last resort!!They use the fact that people go here when they have no other options.They quote you priced, spend an hour & a half filling out paperwork then try to charge you 50+ every 2 weeks on payments.They also wanted 1400+ a month for a car payment with their deferred payments.Calling corporate. Then going to lie about quoting prices? I really hope they record their phone calls so the manager can get fired for blatant lying.Sad business. Do not waste your time here this is absolutely ridiculous.Also, glad we didn’t buy the first car they tried to sell to us because in their words “the engine is shot.”

My experience was a good one. This is the second car Ive purchased through them an this time it did take a little longer due to the amount of people that was there trying to get a car too. Some of the people there was quite rude an very impatient with the workers even though they was working as fast as possible an it showed. The workers were absolutely some of the nicest people that I have ever dealt with while buying a vehicle. These people werent out to just sell a car they were out to help a person in need of a vehicle an worked hard to get me in a car that not only I wanted but could afford as well. Over all if u need a little help getting a vehicle there the ones I recommend.

I went to Jd by rider in Charleston WV on 2/15/20 looking for a vehicle granite my credit isn’t the best but before I went I done some research and figured I’d try them out. So after go and spending couple hrs there test drove a car I really liked a 2011Ford Fusion with 119 thousand miles on it. But I wasn’t giving $13,000 for a 9 year old car with 119 thousand miles on it with payment of $422 month. I understand there like any other company there in business to make money but come on now that’s ridiculous price for that car an also had a 2014 Dodge Avenger with little over 100 thousand miles for $15 thousand. They wouldn’t work with me on price and payment so I went to enterprise car sales and got a 2018 Nissan Sentra SV with 40 thousand miles on for $12,999 and payment cheaper. So I wouldn’t recommend jdbyrider to anyone!!!!!
After they lie to you & sell u a car needing repairs, they won’t talk to you. Called multiple times and got hung up on. Finally, a staff member from Barboursville called me. Prior to that, the So Charleston staff ignored my calls, hung up on me, and listened to my voicemail without taking any action. They told bville staff what my msg entailed and still hadn’t contacted me. When one person honestly told me the SC mgr wasn’t busy and could speak with me, the transferred call resulted in someone picking up & hanging up. Corporate was supposed to send us our down payment back in a refund about 3 wks ago within 2 days..nothing.
Listen to the other negative reviews. This place is awful. Ride the bus or whatever until you can go somewhere else to buy a vehicle. You’ll just get extremely in debt for a high mileage car and end up owing 3 x its worth. It should be illegal for this place to take advantage of low income ppl w/ no credit..They sell cars for triple the book value & lie to your face to mislead you. You can’t trade in the car u buy until your loan with interest is almost all paid off. By then, youll be lucky if it runs. Save up a down payment, even if it’s not much and go to other lots that will work with u..or buy cheap from a private seller.They drag out the sale process 2 full days while you pace around in the office waiting. There was only one other customer in the 2 days we were there buying a car and we sat nearly 16 hrs total. Salesman would disappear or get on the phone or computer and say he was busy. They make sure you are exhausted and then ask you to electronically sign some papers with lots of fine print.Thats where the numbers changed from our price given to us by salesman Jimmie multiple times. Our kid got stuck in their office for nearly 16 hrs as well.The cars aren’t well maintained.. parts underneath that control power steering were rusted & shouldn’t have been sold to a family. We didn’t drive it one day and it messed up causing an accident.We asked questions about the engine size, etc and the salesman said he didn’t know. Only said that’s the only vehicle we qualified for..on the whole lot. No info on it offered. Use google or ask a friend. They know u are desperate for a car or you wouldn’t be there. Horrible customer service. Called the regionalMgr nearly a month ago after I got his nameoff other complaints responses here on google reviews. To date, never got a callback.They didn’t have a key for the car to test drive it after we’d waited 2 days. He finally found a key and we got home and the key fob battery went dead. They told us to go buy one. We walked to NAPA and bought one out of our own money bc salesman Jimmie didn’t show up at our house to assist with repair.They don’t offer gap insurance to you to cover the sale price and the rest of the loan if the car is a total loss. Why? Because they never told you the full price with interest! Offering the full insurance u need would require them to discuss the full loan amount you’d need insured. No, we got told for 2 days we got a price drop when in actuality our total was over $6, 000 more that we now have to file a complaint bc we weren’t offered gap insurance for the total loan amt..that we were given false totals for: RUN!
So during the car buying process I had rated this place a 5 star- as pushed by the salesman. Less than 6 months after owning the vehicle the engine began overheating. The back drivers side door handle was completely broken off and just laid back on the door and I only noticed this after getting home. The general condition of these vehicles is poor. They also failed to mention that my car had been in more than one accident. I’m telling you to stay far away from this place! Go to another dealership, your payment will be the same and you’ll have a new car. Most dealerships will work with bad credit and history of repossessions. Just stay far away.
This place has been a nightmare! I had to miss a surgery due to not having tags on the vehicle we purchased that may cost me my life. The paper work was suppose to have been lost the full amount in which you will pay does not show up on your credit I strongly advise if you have other options please take them even if you have to save for a few months we bought an 8 ur old Escape for 13.000.00 and our pay off is over 20.000.00 that is 417.00 a month
