Store had a great selection but the employee was lacking. I went in to pick up a new release. He told me that there was a promotion to get a percentage off of a used game with the purchase i was making. I found a used game and went to purchase them together. The game had a sticker price of $10.99 but rang up over $20. He corrected it manually to $10.99 for me. Then asked if I would like to use my Birthday coupon for 20% off instead of the discussed promotion. But whatever, I agreed to use the 20% for my birthday purchase anyway. After i got the receipt i noticed the 20% didnt come off at all and the total reflected it. When i tried to bring it to the associates attention he became oddly defensive and proclaimed it was around $7 when he pushed it through and he wouldnt have completed the purchase otherwise. So i didnt get the promotion for buying a new release and getting a percentage off a used game, as well as losing my birthday discount off a used game, then was met with awkward defensiveness when i bought it to attention. GS are few and far between now but I will not be visiting this one.

Was told they didnt have an item in stock. I knew right off the bat the associate was being lazy and didnt check. So I went to verify online and they did have the item in store.

Bought a brand new controller from here about 4 months ago and the rubber grip already came off and I MAYBE use it about 2-5 hours a week, if that. Also the joystick gets stuck all the time. I wouldn’t ever buy anything from here again.

I love coming to this GameStop, but it has one flaw. The employees are super kind, except one employee named Jake who seems very snarky and rude every time I call and ask a question in a KIND matter when he picks up. I get that some days are bad days, but his attitude when answering my questions can be heard every time I have called while he is working...Please fix this issue, Ive been a loyal customer for 15 years and dont like being talked to like that!Aside from Jake, I also have a compliment. I absolutely love the customer service Christian brings to his guests as well as myself. He mingles with customers and gives compliments with cool things people own that he likes too. I recommend going to Christian with any help or questions because he wont be rude to you. Keep it up, Christian! 💚

Everytime I shop here everything is cool. Service is great and they can almost find anything that youre looking for. The employees greet you when you walk in and ask if youre looking for anything specific.

A variety of games, consoles, and accessories for gaming. They give a decent price for used games and consoles but not very good at buying old games from you. Their reward system is pretty much useless unless you plan to spend $500+. The staff here is helpful and informative. Overall a bit pricey for goods but had decent support/staff with a low rewarding membership system.

Not bad, but not great.A good selection of games. Comparable prices to online and other stores. The gear (shirts, keychains, etc) was surprisingly diverse. And the clearance items were actually amazing.That being said, the staff didnt seem all that knowledgeable. At least, the individuals we interacted with. Ex: Two individuals outright said they didnt really play video games. So their assistance was relegated simply to helping us locate items or checking us out.But overall, a decent place to purchase items so long as you have an idea of what you want or dont mind just browsing to find something. I dont know how other staff would be, but I wont count on them to help me pick a game or describe anything beyond location/price.

I am writing today because I dont normally do reviews, good or bad, but the employees at this location are the nicest people I have ever dealt with in any retail environment, EVER! These people are awesome, every one of them. I have dealt with various employees at this store and they are ALL the BEST!! They are always helpful with questions, even if you arent buying something and just need help with a game or console issue, in person or on the phone. This is how retail should be, THANK YOU!

Not very helpful at all here. Just my experience. They will watch you spend more than you should and say nothing about it. Terrible. Not I must travel back return the game and buy the complete edition. I wish I was told that the completed edition of the game was the same or price as the one without Dlc but the blond little man did not bother. Also, if you are a child or someone that would trade a game for cash, they will give attitude. Very terrible exp. Every single time I go. I will be getting the name of the employer that does this and post it here very soon. Id say these people are grumpy and tired.

Pretty rad place for a GameStop. The staff there is great, Anthony is super helpful and friendly. Hes never steered me wrong with a game choice.

Even After Pre-ordering games, They dont deliver on time and even the codes that I received were already used.

I went there with my grandson and a few items needed to be exchanged. One item was the wrong size and the toy broke within a few minutes so we went back to exchange it out. They exchanged without any problem. They had great service.

I havent been to gamestop in years. It has really changed. I like how they now carry a lot of collectable stuff. Good store, friendly staff, I got what I wanted and extra.

Came in today to get gundam models. I am very new to the scene so am oblivious to most things. Aly was the employee who helped me today. She was very helpful in explaining the products the store had and what they were used for. I am grateful for all the help she and the other person working there today did to make sure I knew what I was getting and how it worked. I would recommend this store to anyone in the area.

Every employee is extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. Every question I have is always answered instantly and correctly. They go out of their way to help you. And just for the record, I have a huge crush on Amy. Shes a hottie!

Here there be gamers.My local GameStop has always been a good source of game selection and hardware, not to mention employees who know the hobby and participate in it frequently and thus can give you first hand opinions on the most recent games to help you decide whats worth your hard-earned cash. They are understanding and helpful and if youre not satisfied with a product they are willing to help you get one you are satisfied with. I returned a game that was less than stellar the day after I bought it at another game stop and they honored the full price once I told them how much of a rip-off the game itself was and Ive no doubt they will spread the word to any gamer who asks about the game as well. Bravo, GameStop, bravo.

When you have no idea what game is cool or would be a good fit for someone, they always think it through and come up with the best suggestions! Love the No pressure sales of this shop. You dont feel they are upselling you, the suggestions come when you ask for them. Thats why this is the only location we use. Other locations do not have as personable staff.

PLEASE READ this GameStop has the worst customer service the guy with glasses and tattoos all over his arms THREATENED ME. A CUSTOMER. Not going to get to deep into it but he is a horrible person and I hope he gets fired one day highly do not recommend ever going to this game stop on Randall I know I’ll never be going back there again

Came in to return a headset and one of the employees, couldn’t catch her name because her name tag was hidden. She had a major attitude about helping me out. I was doing my best to keep a positive attitude about the whole situation. Although she seemed like I made the whole return a big deal. I asked politely if they had the Hyper X Flights in stock she immediately said no and rolled her eyes. And handed me the Cloud Alphas as if that’s what I wanted in the first place? At this point I didn’t even want to do business with her due to her terrible attitude and as a resul I left. Someone like myself who has been in customer service for over 3 years, knows that’s no way to treat your customers. First and last time I come here.

I was looking for a Star Wars Black Series Darth Revan figure. GameStop was the first retail store to get them in. I asked the manager and team at the GameStop in South Elgin to keep an eye out for me if they came in. Sure enough once Darth Revan arrived they contacted me and held it for me until I could get it later in the day after work. Excellent customer service from this team!!!!! Thank you!!!!
