The men working this store were very nice and helpful, the only problem was the wait I had to indure because the people on the other end of the phone that they had to deal with in order to switch my phone. 3 hours was a bit much.
Saw Austin yesterday and he was great!Unfortunately we came back today which was a big mistake. We dealt with Steven who didnt know anything about the phones or anything else. He broke the case on my phone. They didnt have cases for my phone so fortunately Julie said told him to give me a $20 discount on my bill. Since the phone is a little older may have difficulty finding a case. Steven was very arrogant and condescending.Again, unfortunately it was Austins day off. Went to Lake in the Hills Verizon and had a good experience.
The salesperson really wasnt interested in helping us get our new phone set up. She basically bagged everything and was ready to send us out the door until I let her know it must be programmed. Then she kept checking her watch.Very disappointed...what happened to customer service???
Tl:DR All I needed was a simple SIM adapter and no one at this store was willing/able to help me. Go out of your way to the Batavia store instead.Horrible customer service from what I have to assume is the manager of this store by his my house attitude. Went in to get a copy of my SIM for a new (to me) phone and I started talking with an employee that was trying to be helpful, when someone else walked over and started talking over him to ask what kind of phone Id gotten, then loudly declared that the phone Id just bought was told old (its an S5 that I know works on the network already) and that he would not help me get it working on their (read MY) network. I walked out without a word, drove down the street to the shop in Batavia and was quickly helped, not talked down to, and out of the store in less than 5 mins with my new phone working wonderfully, all at no charge none the less!
Not helpful at all. We were given one price and as soon as our billing cycle started, it was $30 more than they said it would be.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Austin this afternoon. He was helpful, patient and worked through some technical difficulties with us. We spoke with several staff members while setting up our phone plan and everyone was very nice. I would highly recommend this location and its staff members!
Austin, was wonderful! He was great at explaining each plan, phone types, accessories, and insurance benefits. Highly recommend him and this location. They were even patient with my 2 year old daughter. Beyond thankful!
Went there with a friend that has a Verizon phone and needed help converting over to a new one. The associate was extremely helpful spent a lot of time with her getting her new phone to work. I have to say customer service was great.
Changed my phone carrier after 25 years. Wow they sure have swept deep into my pockets over the years. I thought being loyal would give me better pricing and phone upgrades.I am now playing the their cell phone switch carrier game. 5 new phones @ T-mobile AND lower pricing for same unlimited business plan. I will keep playing their game now.
Customer service rep was nice but the only phones they had in store was all 5G. Anything else had to be bought elsewhere.

My husband and I went in. He added our daughter and myself to his plan and purchased new phones for all 3 of us. We were told the price of our monthly bill. And paid for our phones. The girl who helped us was very shady...not showing us everything on her end. She swore we were all good and our monthly payment would be amount specified. Only to find out 2 weeks later we owe $500 ! To say we felt dooped is an understatement. We reached out to corporate and they agreed that they have had many complaints about this location and would make things right . Well that didnt happen and now were stuck with the phones and are extremely upset. Please beware...cannot believe how they treated us. Disgusting!! I was told this was not a true Verizon store! Btw.
I went into this store planning on changing from t-mobile. The guy that was standing at the door did greet us when walking in and asked what he could help with. I told him I was planning on switching from T-Mobile and would like to know the best plans and process to switch over. Instead of actually helping to understand the process he gave very vague answers such as well just do a credit check and find out also anytime I did ask a question he never looked at me to answer just kept typing on the tablet and just honestly seemed bothered to be even having to help. So I kindly walked out and took my business else where. The very bad customer service lost them a sale and also looks bad on them as a company.
Had billing AND plan issue related to new iPad purchased here. Said they could fix if I came to store or call Verizon but easier if I came to store. Went there and they asked me to call customer service while they watched - really?!Level of help is VERY different between technicians. Less than ZERO help today. Virtually identical experience to that described by reviewer Ryan. Owner doesn’t appear to be taking action on reviews, looks like lip service to reviews.

Wouldnt help with cancellation. Told to call on my own.Cancellation was for a hotspot line that sales rep from same store used for an upgrade but never fixed even after sending the requested info to him.Although the initial sales experience was pleasant, the conduct afterwards has been disappointing

I genuinely love Verizon and the service they provide, but was beyond disappointed with the service that I received at this store. An individual told me they would get back to me after the weekend, in regards to some incorrect charges on my account, and never did.Then, the general manager acted like she never spoke with me, even though she made it a clear point to tell me she was the GM of the store the week prior.. 🤷🏻♂️

Much better service over the Batavia one. Avoid the Batavia store at all costs! Geneva Commons and South Elgin are much friendlier and dont try to talk you into things ypu dont need or want.
I have a problem with my phone. They dont take responsibility for it. They wiped all my information clean, when they said they wouldnt. They lie when they tell you they are here to help. Sorry your warranty doesnt cover that. You should have bought the extended warranty, sorry you still have to pay your phone off before you can get a new one....It seems no matter the problem they have a excuse, but if you have any problems they dont care and cancel your service. I have been with Verizon since they started. Why am I still with them.... STUPIDITY....we all are. They get worse every year and we put up with it. This store the manager, Richard(no name tag) is not nice. The employees do the best they can for a corrupt company. No better than big oil. They screwed my phone up but not enough that I could not write this.....

The management and customer service at this store is absolutely dismal. Never before have I been treated with such little respect from a store manager.I have insurance for my iPhone that was sold to me by verizon and the replacement phone that I was sent (for $199) apparently had parts missing on the inside that prevented the apple store from being able to replace its battery, which it needed (the tab needed to pull out/replace the battery wasnt there). When I came in and relayed the information that I had gotten from the apple store (where I had initially gone when my phone would no longer hold a charge), the staff was rude and dismissive, making a spectacle of me in the store, calling over other staff, and repeatedly telling me that they were not responsible. This was even before I had asked for it to be fixed or replaced. They were absolutely so preoccupied with deflecting blame onto me that I couldnt even finish telling them what was on the report I had brought from the apple store nor did they offer to provide me any contact information, etc to the insurance company. Instead, I was lectured. It was as if I was an idiot for asking them for help.They finally agreed to do me a favor and give me an upgrade which would replace my phone (with a 2-year extension of my contract, mind you) for $.99 plus a $29 upgrade fee. However, they did not have my phone in stock, and the only equivalent memory-wise was the 5s (I had a 4s), which would cost $299 plus the upgrade fee.Wanting to get everything over and done with, I agreed to their favor. As I was rung up, the staff member asked me if I wanted a case, and I said know. The manager, Christian, overhearing this, interrogated me as to why I didnt want a case, rolling his eyes and asking, where? when I said I could buy them cheaper elsewhere. When the same issue came up about insurance, he acted as if I was a complete idiot for not wanting insurance on the phone. I said again, no thanks, but I was given a You a really telling me you dont want insurance on this phone??I said no, that I didnt want to pay for an insurance policy that sends defective phones that cannot be repaired. He then BERATED me for my attitude and my decision not to have insurance, despite the fact that I had already experienced a half hour of his staff being rude, dismissive, and condescending, while paying out of pocket over three hundred dollars to replace a phone that never had all of its parts anyways. I then was yelled at again when I asked for his district managers contact information.Frustrated to the point of tears, I left the store with my new phone. If there are any issues with this one, I will be taking my business elsewhere.My advice? I would never step foot into this store if you can help it, especially not if Christian is the manager on duty. I have never experienced worse customer service in my life.
Theyve gotten much better than they were in the past - previous visits in this store left my wife filled with such rage she was going to kick the manager in the balls for being a jackass to her.Luckily that dude seems to be long gone, theyre much nicer now.

I just wanted another sim card and was given the runaround because I didnt want a new phone I guess. The Verizon rep I talked to on the phone first, said I could pick one up at any store no problem. The store rep saw my Thunderbolt model and gave me a look like it was a WMD. Its apparently a problem to do anything but get a new phone at this store.
This store was very helpful when my iPhone crashed last month. Grateful!!
