Great response time. I was in a hurry and needed someone immediately. They got back to me right away. They started and finished in the timeline they said they would. Good communication through the whole project. Professional, polite and quality work. I would definitely recommend and use them again for future projects.

Im always drawn to this place. Its simple and easy. The return policy is a huge draw. Waiting is common there. Especially pick up in the back. Commercial customers have priority over regular customers. I bought the vinyl water proof laminate and had it installed. Dont do it. They leave horrible indentions because the material is also cork paper inside so it collapse easy when funiture sits on it or from walking with hills. Horrible I need to back to regular laminate.

We contracted Houston Discount Floors & Remodel LLC to install carpet, refinish our floors and add an interior wall in a bedroom that had been turned into one large room. The pros of working with this company were the following:1. The carpet install and interior wall framing was relatively quick and seamless2. The pricing for carpet install and framing were reasonable3. We were able to book them and get things started almost as soon as we gave the 50% depositCons:1. The initial deposit was quite high. In an ideal world giving a 50% deposit upfront seems reasonable. However, with the increased number of dodgy contractors and those who don’t pride themselves on doing quality work, this puts the customers at a disadvantage. Thankfully, by the time any issues arose this company had already completed more than half the work, so it behooved them to make things right before receiving the remaining 50%2. Here’s the biggest con – IF YOU ARE CONTRACTING THIS COMPANY TO REFINISH EXISTING FLOORING LOOK ELSEWHERE. I cannot be more adamant about this. The company/employees that Juan contracted to refinish our floors did a terrible job and were absolutely rude towards the end. There were so many issues that came up because of their poorly done job:a. First the stain they ended up putting down was the wrong color. Our floors literally looked blue. The men apparently were color blind and didn’t see the difference. Juan tried to blame the wall color being blue and reflecting off on our hardwood floors. What a joke. So, they had to come back and sand again to add a brown stain to the floors.b. After they refinished the floors none of our interior doors would close. That’s right, our bedroom/office/coat closet doors would not close. The first excuse that Juan had was that our house was old and it had shifted. In the one week they had been refinishing the floors he’s blaming our house shifting as the reason perfectly good doors wouldn’t close? Crazy! Then when that excuse didn’t work he said that it was due to the transition strips that were installed. So, I requested they get shorter strips. Juan tried to convince us that they only came in one size. So inevitably they had to cut down all our interior doors to fix this issue.c. They sanded so much off the floors that it created holes in different spots. Mind you they didn’t show or tell us about the holes as they were being made. We had to find them ourselves! If you don’t know, when refinishing floors you have to vacate the premises (typically) and not walk on the floors for 8+ hours. Which means we didn’t get to see the floors in natural light until the following day. This is when I noticed the holes. The guys first said they weren’t sure how that happened and that the holes were already there. SHOCKER. No one saw any holes when doing the initial walkthrough or while sanding the floors. They were very confident that the job could be completed and then all of a sudden there were “issues” with the existing flooring. They patched two of the holes (which was like pulling teeth to get them to do). The holes were still noticeable, but I was so over dealing with this company that we paid them thinking we would just be dealing with the discoloration of the newly patched areas. Boy, were we wrong!d. When they fixed the holes they had to remove a section of the floor to re-install/sand/stain new pieces of wood that we had on hand. It appears they didn’t allow any room for expansion because now our floors are buckling. We are about 6 months from when they did our floors in September of 2020. Our floors our buckling near the patched area and you can see bubbles either from the stain or topcoat they used. Each day the floors get worse, so we are now in the market to completely redo our floors. $2500 down the drain just to have Juan and his company ruin the existing wood floors (see pics).

I normally do not write reviews but the work was so well done that I had to show good faith and share my experience with Houston Discount Floors. One of the Regional Managers, Juan, did an awesome Job taking caring of me and my wifes needs. He was always punctual and detailed. Not once did I feel uncomfortable, as it can be a little skeptical inviting strangers to your home. Juan Showed outstanding professionalism and catered to all my needs. The prices are as mentioned on the name, very affordable and at a discounted price. The work was very clean and organized(high attention to detail). He took his time and made sure that my home was taken cared of. All in all, a perfect 5 star review for Houston Discount Floors. I hope every one gets the privilege to work with Juan and his Company. After a few delays because of weather, everything went well. Installer was polite and efficient. Other employees were helpful as well. I am satisfied with product and service.

They are great, the only problem we had was the crew showing up on the time they said they would but other than that highly recommend them

I can only say good things about this contractor. The owner, Juan is one of the fairest and most decent human beings you’ll ever do business with! They were pleasant to deal with, priced fairly, took care of issues right away but most importantly the quality of the workmanship is second to none. I had some very ugly light colored bamboo floors that needed to be re-sanded and refinished in a very dark stain and then coated with polyurethane. They also sanded the 20year old oak stairway bannisters and matched to new darker color. Amazing work and an amazing company to deal with. Hire them, you will not be sorry!

It has been real hard to write this review, but felt like I had to. I am usually a patient person, but the work they did this time was unacceptable to say the least. This made our second floor they had installed because of the hurricane. It still is lacking a tile in one spot. They also did some painting which I had to clean off my blinds (two were ruined and torn up) and had to clean paint off of the brick in our living room. Floors still have some paint on them where it wasnt cleaned up. They also did some sheetrock work and cut several of the socket holes entirely too big and we had to have someone else finally come in and correct all the mistakes this company made. A window seal is still not cut right and there is a hole in the wall in one of the closets. We had to call them back to fix leaks and even connect up water correctly. In our shower, we had a different individual come in and fix the shower so we could get hot water because the part hadnt been installed correctly. They kept promising and promising and promising to come back and never did. When we finally got someone else to come in and finish their work, then they called. It was a little late at that point. We heard they were coming for several weeks and no one would ever show up. You DONT start and job and not finish and you get professionals to do the work. Probably could add more but this is it for now. Sorry job this time.

This place has best deals in Houston/pearland area. Lowes was more than twice the price when it came to carpets.
