Today I went here and it made me wonder if they care about the safety of their customers.The person driving the front loader was driving fast and like he was on a gocart track. In and out of the rows of cars like nobody was around. At one point he came out to the main strip carrying a full size pickup. He was going so fast and it was bouncing out of control. Then just after he passed me the entire tailgate flew off. It flipped around and landed about 20 feet away from me.I tried to complain on my way out to a worker at the register. The guy told me well the yard can be a dangerous place. So I guess that means workers can be reckless since its a dangerous place. I bet OSHA would disagree.

Fantastic place. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. I moved to Vegas and missed this place. One of the best junkyard I have ever been to (bought hundreds parts from them).

Great selection of parts. One of the cleanist yards around. Alot of good tires and a misc parts or tool section on the inside. They rotate their inventory alot. Bought alit of parts for my vans plus a 10ft aluminum ramp. Alot if commercial trucks to and i saw some motorcycle parts.

Great place! Super friendly and fair prices. I worked with Kevin who was excellent but I am sure everyone there is equally as great to work with. At the end of their life, all of my cars go to US Auto. They offer great prices and options to tow. Highly recommend!

Very clean and friendly junk yard has a large selection and good quality parts

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!I have been to US AUTO a few times. I was always accompanied with someone who had knowledge of cars except this last time I was alone. I do not have much knowledge of cars so I already felt uncomfortable being there and had a lot of anxiety. I YouTubed what I needed to do, I went in the yard and though it took me a while I got it done. I collected my belongings and what I needed to pay for and I went into the office where there were several employees and customers standing in line to check out. I tried and get someone’s attention because I needed to ask what I had to do next and I needed to ask a few questions. A employee turned and snapped at me and told me I needed to get back in line, so I did and I waited. I got closer to checking out so I again said excuse me and I was rudely ignored as if he had something better to do while he was just standing there. I was so disappointed that I kept trying to get help and the only employee that wasn’t doing anything couldn’t take the time to answer a few questions. ERIC needs to take a customer service course or get a different job if he cannot handle the one he has perhaps he can work alone somewhere because clearly he is not a people person and was extremely rude. I will no longer go to US AUTO and believe me word of mouth is magical I guarantee that everyone I know will no longer go there either. It’s a shame that ONE BAD EMPLOYEE can ruin so much. I hope that this review doesn’t go unnoticed and this employee is reprimanded for his poor behavior!

This is a hard review because these guys tried to be helpful but their knowledge of autopart quality was so poor it was factually dangerous for customers to follow. After arguing extensively about a clearly bad tire that was flat (and charging me for the tire!) it immediately sprung a leak from the sidewall which I predicted in no uncertain terms to 3 employees behind the counter - all of which were under 25 with little to no mechanical experience whatsoever apparently.Aside from the part I knew was bad and will be bringing back (to discuss with John in person), I also had pulled a perfect tire on a rim so rusted out that it was factually less than half the width left that it started as and was disentigrating by the touch. I have a picture by request but needless to say their entire service counter was covered in rust just from setting it down.These guys insisted it was a good part, which I am actually concerned for driver safety on the road. These substandard parts cost lives! Do not listen to these donkeys recommendations. Follow your gut or ask a licensed mechanic because these were really obvious major defects and these fools dont know and also dont care if you die on the highway. Theyll just insist you pay for nonsense. They still live in their parents basement and work for less per hour than a taco bell crew member

They charged me $4 a piece for used pigtail connectors when they’re $4 new each on Amazon. Also wanted $25 for a used light ballast when they’re on eBay for $30 new.

Took a re end out of a car here an tried to take it back because it was the wrong one an they wouldn’t give me my money back had the receipt for it an they also said I didn’t get it from there because there making where gone on it even through it was on camera that I bought it from there an I talked to some one on the phone be for I came back with it was a waste of time don’t care for the workers there rude wouldn’t want to come back to this place parts……….

Been here several times to pull parts, best yard around. also sold them a few wrecked cars and always got a fair price. Custom service is top notch.

I see many good reviews on this place and was excited to come check it out. Unfortunately I had a terrible experience. The first one was that they were requiring masks in a junkyard OUTSIDE, not only did they stop us at the door they were very rude about it to. Secondly we get into the yard and need a wheel barrel for our tools (Heavy) and we were given a hard time about it. We bring a wheel barrel out into the parking lot for 2 minutes and walk through the entrance just to be screamed at because apparently “the wheel barrels cost more than what they get in their paychecks a week” I would try this place one more time but not a good first impression.

Very well organized, and the inventory lookup assistance is amazing! Additionally, their use of social media to show what they have fresh in stock is a huge positive! I realize It takes extra time to do that, and it is greatly appreciated. Needed a keypad and marker light for my mercury, they had both, unfortunately none of the keypads were functional. Prices were fair and the parts were easy to pull. Make sure to bring your own tools. Youll need them. Well stocked on many makes and models, if you need it, they probably have it.

Super awesome, they took a vehicle out of the crush lot just so I could grab some parts from it. Always a incredibly friendly staff and a well kept lot. Prices arent the most competitive but you definitely get what you pay for this place is nice. I also find myself wanting a little more from the website. From my knowledge you cant view the cars on the website but you can see them if you go to US Autos Facebook page. Also doesnt tell you enough about the car. But ultimately these complaints are trivial. This place is exactly what ever car do it yourselfer is looking for

I complained about one of the lady’s that work there to her boss John, they checked on a reciept for me through the cameras for me, mr John. The lady came back with a rascist attitude throwing some papers to the floor. Her co worker said we were rude to her to, when we didn’t even say nothing to her, she didn’t even want to mark our stuff with the orange market until we told her as we were going out. She told her boss John to get us out of here like kicking us out, at the end I told them no worry about the receipt, because of there treatment with me and my nephew.

The staff is always very friendly and helpful, and this junk yard / Pick-n-Pull keeps getting better and better. Love the attention management has been giving to the property, in the vehicle turn over seems to be fast which means theres always an influx of fresh parts to be picked. Highly recommend

Easy to navigate, helpful staff, lots of inventory, and I was and in and out in 10mins with the parts that I wanted. Cost me $20 where to purchase them online it would be around 80.

Just went here for my first time and was very pleased with my experience. I called in ahead and the staff was very helpful answering my questions over the phone. When I arrived, the staff was friendly and helpful helping me locate the parts I was looking for.

Awesome place. Theyre very organized and if youve visited before, they obviously care for the look of the place from the recent renovation that theyve had. If I could rate 4 and a half I would, just because the prices may be a bit off for a few items. I got a throttle cable for 15 dollars and gm sells theirs for the same price. You could justify it with having the part immediately though. Regardless, I always enjoy coming here

I called all around trying to get the best price for my car and John beat them all. He cares about his customers. Good people over there. Will recommend them to everyone.

Reply to the owners response follows:First the good:They do have one of the neater yards in the area.Also, they do constantly replenish their inventory.They also seem to have plenty of wheel barrows available for use.Now the not so good:Sometimes they replenish their inventory too quickly. Ive seen vehicles in their yard that were just set, and within 2 weeks they are gone (with parts I needed and would have purchased). This is particularly disappointing when it is something somewhat unusual, and it is replaced with something they already have a dozen others of.Know your prices before you enter their yard- it really sucks when you go there, work to pull a dirty and/or rusty part, and they want about the same price as you could have a brand new O.E. part (that you do not have to clean/recondition) delivered to your door for. And when you try to explain this the kid at the counter (who didnt even know what the part was) they just say oh well (I wound up leaving the part there, so you wound up making nothing rather than a reasonable price for it).Also, they will nickel and dime you for every nut, bolt and washer, where other yards typically throw this type of stuff in.And be sure to clean out your tool box before you come here- they root through your tool box on the way out, and will question even the smallest screw or clip that you might have even forgotten was in there.So, to sum it up, while their yard is one of the neater in the area, and the vehicles arent quite as picked over, the prices and attitude of staff make this yard the last choice on the list rather than the first choice.Reply to owners response:My review was based on my experiences of visiting your yard on multiple occasions, and having less than completely positive experiences several times.Unfortunately not everyone can check your online inventory every day, and come running out immediately the first day you list a vehicle. And it is sometimes impossible to predict if or when a car may break down. As far as holding on to the niche vehicles- You used to have a separate section of old/unusual vehicles- I personally would like to see this return, and have these vehicles remain available for a longer period of time. This would allow you to meet the needs of more customers.As to pricing- your one size fits all policy, while being great for some customers, doesnt work out well for everyone. In the case I refer to the (relatively small) part I pulled was available new O.E. (NOT aftermarket) for what your staffer (who again didnt even know what the part was, and after I told him what it was, ironically, I found out afterwards that what he thought the part was would have been cheaper) tried to charge me for it. Other times there are aftermarket parts available for less/same as your USED parts- my point to customers is to know the other options available before thinking they are getting a good deal from you because sometimes they arent. It also wouldnt hurt if your staff was a little more knowledgeable, and exercised a little discretion at times, rather than losing the sale.I wasnt talking about a bucket of bolts- I could hold them in the palm of my hand. They would have fit easily into my pocket, but thats not the way I roll. I try to be honest with my dealings (although I do realize many others dont). Ive done the same at other yards and was told to have a nice day, but never at your yard.My box isnt filled with parts (it is heavy enough to lug around without being full of parts)- Im talking about ONE obviously defective (melted) plastic connector that I forgot was even in there (I simply forgot to take it out and throw it away). The female staffer I dealt with on that day acted as if I was trying to rob you blind.I realize that there is no perfect system for your business. Your yard does have some advantages over other yards, but some of your policies make me less inclined to come to your business if I can get what I need elsewhere. I hope this review might help you see why.

Prices were good, the yard was fairly well organized, and they have plenty of wheelbarrows around to move parts.

I have worked in the auto salvage and self serve parts industry for more than 30 years and consider myself a (humble) expert in the business. My father and I are absolutely blown away with the state of the art professionalism at US Auto of Sterling Heights! Their level of organization and customer service is at the very top in our industry. I am proud to know them. The local residents are all very lucky to have the opportunity to shop at such a world class first rate parts yard! They have really set the bar high for all of us other self serve operators.

Ive been here a few times since ownership changed hands from Warhoops. The new building is impressive, the yard well laid out and organized, and they have a decently sized Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep section. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, this is my favorite u-pull-it and I will be back many times to keep my childrens cars on the road as inexpensively as possible. Id love to see them start an email program where subscribers could get an email with pics of every make and model they wish to follow as they arrive. It would help me to know when I need to hop over there and get something thats the right color, or the part looks undamaged, etc.

Probably the best scrap yard around. Everything is organized perfectly. When you come in they tell you exactly where every car is and what color, etc. The staff is helpful and friendly. I went there to get some trim parts for my pt cruiser (one small piece they threw in for free!), then back for a hood and latch the next day. The prices are amazingly cheap. Highly recommend checking this place out. Will definitely be back!

Awsome as always. Needed an odd socket size (5.5mm) and they had one in a bin for me. Gave it to me for free and I was able to remove the part I needed. Service with a smile.

This yard is very well organized, has excellent prices compared to their counterparts, and has a Black Friday sale to remember, but their staff coordination and value estimation is absolutely terrible!I called on a Monday morning to inquire when they planned to destroy a certain car I planned on salvaging parts from; the employee was very nice and assured me that the car would not be destroyed until the following Monday. I made it clear that I was coming in on that Friday to gather a very large number of parts (almost four figures worth), and the employee once again assured that the car would still be there. I called again on Friday morning to let them know I was on my way, and I was informed that the car had been destroyed the previous night! Usually, this would be understandable given that a salvage yard has to make room for new arrivals, but I specifically told them I was going to be giving them business by buying a very large number of parts (most of which, for the specific car I was looking at, cannot be found elsewhere), and they still destroyed it anyways.What I dont understand is this: over the last three or four weeks since said car arrived in their yard, they have sold a huge amount of parts from it; therefore, it is a moneymaker for them. Did they somehow think, even though the amount of parts sold from it was not slacking, that whatever replaced it would outvalue the parts still left on it? There were still are large number of usable parts left on the car! From a business and profit-making standpoint, it simply doesnt make sense.Through that incident, they not only destroyed a piece of inventory with good, hard to find, usable parts that they considered not valuable enough to keep, but they also lost my business permanently .

Wow!! What a great junk yard, very well organized. They have wheel barrows for ease of hauling parts... 100s of cars... They can even tell you where a certain car is. Will certainly check here for parts again. I got lucky this time and found the exact wheel I needed.

Amazing customer service. Had to come back another day with different tools to get a part that I couldnt remove. The vehicle moved, and the owner personally tracked it down, and made sure that I was able to get the part that was needed. Absolutely clean and organized from the layout, to the actual property itself with no litter or parts laying everywhere.

I needed a bolt for a tail light.OEM always is better than drywall screws...you know the neighborhood hack with the mullet always hacking with 🦆 tape and a hammer.Oh yeah the all new building with a 🔥 brunette does add a bunch to the experience 😂. Now my tail light is secure.Thanks again US Auto
