For example, she let me know I should leave early for our appointment because the parking lot is under construction. She let me know finding a parking space would likely be difficult. Imagine how you would feel arriving and you can’t find a parking space lol.Please ask for her by name when setting an appointment for a student stylist to provide color, highlights, hair washing, balayage, scalp treatments or any other desired results.Leave a positive review for Amber if you agree she provides great customer service. I never go anywhere else to get my hair done. Ive been coming here sense I was about 15. Im 26 now. They know how to do hair and its really cool sense some of them are still learning you can see how they do things! Love them. 10/10

Got my hair done by #104 Matti!! She did an amazing balayage! Very talented! Highly recommend her! Shes also very nice and fun to talk to while you sit there with all the foils! Matti also gave me a little trim for my dead ends! I will definitely be coming back!

Very clean took your temperature when you walked in supplied mask so yours didnt get dirty did do the safe distance will definitely go back again. Melinda Lee did my hair. Was very prompt and did a very good job. Also cleaned up stations when they were finished with my hair promptly after I was finished.

Very nice students. My dark brown hair is now black!!! I specifically said do not make it black! I left with dye in my ears and all over my face. It took forever for 2 ppl to dry my hair! They say single color is $20 and $5 for each additional bowl of color. They used 4 additional bowls so my bill was double, $40. For that I could have gone to a pro. Had to rewash my hair when I got home because there was still dye all over my scalp. NEVER AGAIN will I do that! The girls couldn’t be nicer but the end result was a nightmare!

Best Cosmetology School Ive been to in Michigan. Grace #217 did an amazing job. My hair was over grown and I brought in a photo of a very short hair cut. Not an eaay cut at all. But Grace did it perfect with the guidance of her Teachers. I was very impressed with this school because the Teachers were right on top of everything to ensure Grace was successful. This is the first time someone did this cut Perfect. Thanks again Grace and Staff.

Had all over color done and the stylist Kasey did a fantastic job! The price was perfect, sure more expensive than home color, but way cheaper than a salon. I was going to another beauty school for color and they just kept messing it up...which is crazy because it was just all over dark color to cover gray. At Paul Mitchell they care about the customer and the student.

I actually come here all the time. My cut and color are fantastic and I will come see Marcie just for a wash blow dry and some curls randomly just because their prices are so great. Had a wonderful first experience at Paul Mitchell in Sterling Heights. Ive gone to several schools/salons for my hair over the years and never had a stylist so excited and committed to perfecting my hair. It was easy to get in for my initial appointment when every other place I called told me they couldnt take me. Although I came in later in the day and we were unable to finish my hair completely due to time constraints, they made me a priority and scheduled me first thing the next morning. Crystal was very sweet and friendly throughout the entire process and was also great at communicating with me. She kept me excited about getting my new hair color the entire time. They did a great job as well of chopping the price down- although I needed a lot of work done, they did everything they could to be cost effective. The leader, Carlton, was also great. He was very personable as well as interactive throughout the entire duration of my visit. I walked into the salon knowing that I was asking for a lot in terms of what color I was hoping to achieve, yet Crystal somehow managed to give me exactly what I was picturing in my head (probably even better). The only issue I had was the amount of time I was there, however, it is a school where students are still learning and I did not mind the time too much. Not only would I recommend visiting Paul Mitchell but I highly recommend asking for Crystal!

Just had a deep conditioning treatment, cut and blow dry with Rita #57 and it was great! She understood what I wanted and worked very precisely to give me exactly that. I would definitely see her again.

My student was very gentle with my hair. She took her time and I felt like she was very professional. She asked me questions regarding what I wanted from my hair and she really listened and suggested products that could address my specific needs. Definitely recommend.

I have the pleasure of being on Phase 2 where were held to a higher standard and are more independent stylists. Had a wonderful experience here. My hair came out just as I had hoped it would. The color is deep and rich. My stylist, Hope, did a fantastic job and I would definitely highly recommend requesting her if you go to this location. She exudes confidence, is happy to explain things, personable, and knows what shes doing. The atmosphere is very lively, comfortable, and friendly. The teachers walk around and help their students//check on their work. I am very pleased. Oh, and the prices are very reasonable.I get to leave feeling beautiful inside and out. 🙄

I tried the Paul Mitchell School in Oct of this year, and I got a great, great, fantastic haircut!! However, my second visit was a disaster. I simply asked the student to follow what the previous student had done, taking about an inch from the length and throughout the layers. Apparently, three inches is the new one inch, and as a result, I now have a pixie that looks adorable on me, a grown woman in her 40s. Yes, the teacher called me adorable. I answered that few women my age enjoy being referred to as adorable. My hair butchering was of no charge, but I would have gladly paid for the cut I asked to have, instead of being ignored. It will take a good six months for this to grow out, while going for trims in the meantime. Unbelievable. I guess I can take comfort in the fact that its hat season, although I dont look so adorable in a hat. My advice to any who consider their services: Be very, very specific and assert yourself in getting what you want. Who wants a cut that the stylist loves, but the client hates?

First and foremost, I always walk in remembering that this is a school and not a professional salon. So I am not going to have a stylist who knows exactly what to do and can get me in and out in record time. The last two times I went to get my hair dyed and the whole process took about 4 hours. Even a simple cut was at least an hour and a half. I dont mind because in the end its just hair and if they mess up I can find somebody to fix it.That being said, I always get a phase 1 student because I guess I like risks. They still have a lot to learn but my hair always turns out the way I want it to. A few months ago I saw Kaye (#unknown) an she fixed a layer cut that had gotten botched at a professional salon. She got to learn new techniques from her teacher and I got a nice cut. Win win.Also please tip these people if you can. Just because they are students doesnt mean you cant thank them for doing a good job.

My hairdresser Eralda 76, is awesome. She is friendly and detailed! She is kind and gentle and really puts her heart into her work. I had a partial highlight, brow wax and a haircut. She is a phase 2 student and I really love the time she look to make me look spectular!

Although this took a little longer than a usual visit, the atmosphere was worth it. I received a great cut and my color is fantastic. The instructors are constantly roaming and teaching. I was a little nervous going to a school but I am definitely returning!

Im a regular at this place because they always have great customer service, skilled hairstylists, and great prices! Ive been to another location (near Orlando) and it was terrible... Which made me appreciate how great this location is even more! I would recommend this place to anyone! Theyre awesome!

Eden is the bomb! She leaves my hair smelling good, soft, lots of volume, and the curls stay for a long time!! I’ll never go to anyone else. Also, Lauren did my daughters hair and she was super nice. It was her first time at the hair salon (she’s 6) and she had a great experience!

This is an amazing school! I brought my 14 year old daughter in. They consulted with us, both the student and the teacher, to work within my budget. Told us up front how long it would take. There are a lot of future AWESOME stylists here. Hailee did an amazing job turning my daughter into a purple princess! Tammy was the instructor overseeing the service. She gave great advice and was able to do exactly what my daughter wanted within our budget. I highly recommend coming here.

Kylie #32 is a great student stylist. Expert advice and support from the instructor regarding chemical reaction of highlighting hair with prior use of store bought lightening products. We will definitely be back.

Ive been coming here for my last 3 haircuts and go to Bianca D #86. I always leave very pleased with my results and love the positive atmosphere! The stylists are still students, but their instructors are extremely attentive and make sure every client is happy with what they get! Cant recommend them enough.

After 5 hours at the salon for a cut and color my daughter and I walked out after 10 p.m. with an uneven cut and inconsistent hair color. We provided pictures and talked in length with the stylist and instructor and felt they understood what we wanted. If you think you will save money going to this school, you wont.....their prices are not significantly lower than industry prices. We now have the added expense of color correction and a haircut.

I love the Paul Mitchell School. My girls and I have been coming for years. We found out about the school when my daughters Girl Scout Troop had a field trip there and she came home with some kind of coupon. The prices are good and the stylists and leaders have always gone out of their way to be nice and helpful.

The experience was great! Everything from walking in the door to smiling faces to the service. Everyone I came in contact with was super sweet asking me how I was doing.
