We highly recommend Larry at the Stockton, Ca location! Hes professional and personable. Hes not pushy (as some sales people can be) and knowledgeable about the vehicles on his lot. We looked at several as we didnt have a particular car in mind. We told him our target price and general needs and he directed us to the cars that fit our criteria. We test drove a few and ultimately decided on the first one we checked out. The buying process was easy as Guillermo got us financed and all documents signed in a timely manner!!! (Thats huge as sometimes it can be a very lengthy process!) Thank you for a great buying experience!

I drove 4 hours to look at a vehicle. I called prior and asked the sales person if there was any cosmetic damage worth noting that was not pictured. Id rather not have any significant surprises if driving that distance. When I arrived there were 2 dents with paint damage definitely worth noting (not easy fixes), a splintering chip in the windshield (probably can be patched but still worth mentioning), missing convertible snap-on side covers and missing floor mats (mats arent a big deal in the grand scheme of things).However they told me they could only replace one not both items..so had to pick if i wanted the cover pieces or the mats.. they didnt have authority to buy both..They arent able to write up a work order outside their guy, so it wasnt possible to have any repairs closer to home...most dealers will allow you to get your own financing within 72 hours and if you cant secure it, then you go with their financing options... this is not the case for Hertz. Maybe for someone living in Stockton this would be okay. If you are not local, this dealership probably isnt a good fit.When I arrived it felt very lacking..no enthusiasm at all. No offer of waters until the very end of our appointment and when I asked if we could sit inside, the sales guy mentioned their AC had been out a couple days, so good luck on it being cooler in there. Their waiting area sofa cushion was torn and there were a couple ants in the drinking fountain.I felt bad for the employees and honestly it wasnt the caliber you would expect from Hertz. The lack of caring showed in their sales room, on the lot and the vehicles. It amazes me that I was willing to pay their full price and they were not able to make a couple items right for their customer. Im sure not all by choice, rather some by design of the corporation/management.

I worked with a salesman by the name of Guillermo Valdivia. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience with Guillermo at Hertz Stockton. I was greeted kindly, and spoken to as a person as opposed to a dollar sign. On my first visit to Hertz, I test drove the car that I had been monitoring online. I was sold on the vehicle and still, Guillermo made sure that I was aware of any cosmetic damages that were on the exterior and interior of the car. I drove the vehicle and Guillermo knew everything that a potential buyer would need to know including the feel of the car from personal experience. I spoke with a manager and I didnt agree with the lending offers that were presented to me before I got to the financing portion of my vehicle. Guillermo provided experience, a solution, and a positive attitude when faced with a potential unsatisfied customer leaving. I ultimately left the dealership but made Guillermo aware that I intended to come back. I went to my bank and got my preapproval letter. I came back and there was a small miss communication with my bank which led me to drive home again. For the third time, I drove 50 miles one way in a Hertz rental car and did business with Guillermo. I was able to purchase my vehicle. I did not have to go to Hertz Stockton for a deal because I was able to finance through my bank. I ultimately bought my car at this Hertz because I was given great customer service by a genuine person who went over and beyond to assist me in making my purchase. Thank you, Guillermo Valdivia!

The sales person was really helpful. I didnt close in on any deal but I was happy that he provided me with all the helpful info I needed without being pushy. The prices were pretty decent for the cars on the lot. Pretty decent mileage and seemed cheaper than other dealers. I have heard mostly positive things about Hertz but some negative. I think everyone has something to complain about with car dealers so thats expected. Overall I was impressed by Hertzs service and pricing.

Last Saturday went to Stockton from Santa Rosa to purchase a newer 4runner (a 2 1/2 hour drive). Because they cannot hold cars for a particular person. I had several emails in regards to price, trade in on my old vehicle and if the auto I was interested in was still available. Both Robert and Richard were very quick to respond and answer all my questions. I found all of the staff at Hertz were kind and courteous. Just a short test drive and inspection of the 4 runner, the deal was done and with a great price too boot! I couldnt ask for more. No haggling over price is a huge plus for me. Excellent dealership. No pressure with a great selection and really good prices. They helped my daughter find the right car for her budget and offered excellent extended warranty options. She ended up getting a really low mileage one year old car for thousands less than any other dealer offered. She even had her choice of colors! The staff were all super friendly and kind.

Super nice staff helped me get into a new car with in 2 days when my car suddenly stopped running. The sales rep gene was very helpful and very nice. My wife and I had a great experience at Hertz Car Sales Stockton. The price was below book and the vehicle was in great shape. I don’t easily use the word perfect, but I really can find no fault with our salesman, Ray. He was helpful without being obtrusive, knowledgeable, friendly, honest, and really went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with the deal. In the finance office, Mas was a complete gentleman and professional. Highly recommended!

Excellent costumer service from the reps. Obviously they try to sell you their additional services, but that is part of their job.The only downside i can see is that they do not have much parking space for when you come in with your own car.

This place has really good prices for all of their vehicles. And the customer service was great. Louis did a great job selling us a car and taking care of us to get us what we wanted. The salesmen are not typical car salesmen, they actually care about the customers here! I reccomend this place to everyone.

The customer service is garbage. They clearly dont care at all. Dave told me its not a Walmart checkout line and refused to ask for an estimate of how much longer it would take to buy the car. Apparently they dont like it when we do that. We had been sitting there doing nothing for 2 hours and counting. They had yet to run the application or draw up documents. If I werent helping my mother in law buy a car, I would have left earlier. Ive purchased 7 cars over the past 7 years and Ive been a loan officer working up auto loans, it is beyond me why it was taking so long. I eventually had to leave to catch a plane, and miraculously one minute later was when they were ready. They tried to trick my mother in law into getting an extended warranty that would cost $3k over the loan life (the loan itself was only for about $6k), and even though she has a 740+ score, gave her a 7% interest rate. Thankfully, I had told her what monthly payment to expect and she caught them trying to add it in, but they told her that she could refinance later with someone else to get a better rate. I would advise not going here. Left a bad taste in my mouth for sure.

The entire process was wonderful. The salesman who assisted us, ask for Bob Kasper, was perfect at keeping us entertained and had all the answers for my off the wall questions. They have amazing prices, we are so happy with our new-to-us 17 Nissan Versa!

I bought a car!!It’s no surprise that I wanted to go to Hertz in the first place. I rent from them and I understand how well they take care of their cars. I walked in knowing the cars I wanted to look at. When I saw the Kia Soul, I knew I wanted to take it home. Someone arrived swiftly and asked if I needed help. They weren’t pushy or over bearing which a lot of car places could be. I then was paired with Guillermo Valdivia. He was knowledgeable about his cars, understood what my needs were and checked the boxes for me. He even checked the outside and looked at the body for me. He took me on the freeway and listened To the car to make sure it was on par to their standards. He did this not because he had to but because he wanted to. As a single Mom, it’s frightening to buy a car by yourself especially if you don’t have much car knowledge. Guillermo understood and did me a solid. After that I went in and paper work was easy. No hassle buying and they didn’t make it hard to purchase. I thought I was prequalified but I wasn’t!!!! Good thing they truly helped me and got me the exact same rate I saw online. I was nervous I wasn’t going to be able to go home with a car. If you’re worried about your credit score, just try and they’ll work with you. They can also find a car that will work in your budget. All the cars usually have low miles and is under Kelly blue book price, I looked it up myself.Ask for Guillermo Valdivia. He’s an honest sales man. He’s chill. He’s patient. John made going through Hertz an extremely enjoyable and simple service. I went in, told him my budget, he found the the car I wanted, and worked to make the payments something I could easily afford. The whole process took less than an hour including him helping me find a full-coverage plan that fit my needs. The car is in great shape with no issues as of yet, I will always recommend Hertz to those who ask me.

I went in to look at a nissan altima I saw online at this location. I drove nearly an hour to see this car because I thought it was a good deal. Just before arriving, we were told that the bumper needed some work and needed to be repainted. We took it for a test drive and surely enough they said they would put in an order to fix the bumper. We decided to purchase the vehicle and were told to come back in a week and we would get the bumper fixed. They told us they would order the paint but it has been almost 3 weeks and still nothing has been done. They said the paint was ordered but we found out last week it was not. The paint was ordered and expected to arrive early this week. We are half way through the week and nothing. I wish I would have known it would take this long, I would have not purchased the car. I am very disappointed.

My experience today buying a car was the way customer service should be at all car dealers. I sent my loan yesterday made an appt and I was driving away within 2 hrs. Guillermo Valdivia was the sales man and he was efficient and made me comfortable. Hertz no haggle pricing made it a breeze. Scott in Finance was very nice and explained everything I was signing. Ill call this fake it till you make it I just got a car from these guys they are all really nice really thoughtful although they did give me a number to call someone for insurance and that quote she gave me was so offencive that lost into Stars but for the record go with progressive for insurance they beat out mostly everybody I was checking 4 this is for full coverage too. So aside from them giving you faulty information to just try and expedite a sale or help out a friend that they know that works at Aetna insurance place they were really nice and helpful and considerate in some ways

Do Not rent a car from this company. First car I rented smelt like an ashtray when I turned the air on and the check engine light was on and it was a gas guzzler (sentra). I bought the, pay $49.50 bring it back empty and trade for another car of your choice. So I did. They didnt seem to happy when I did this but I paid for it. 2nd car I liked. I had to put air in the tires because the light was on. That was no big deal, but still! Then I was charged $651.76. 10 days later they withdrew this out of my account without my knowledge. I called them but got nowhere. Thankfully I have BBVA COMPASS BANK who took care of it.

Worked with Gene first who was very friendly and great customer service but when it got to financing I worked with Nick the Finance Manager. Nick was completely unhelpful and terrible with customer service. I told Nick NOT to run my credit multiple times. He said he wouldnt but proceeded to run my credit through 6 different lenders!!! I saw this when I pulled up my credit report today. This has now hit my credit and points have been dropped from the six times it was ran even after being approved through one of the lenders. Nick said I needed to verify my address and so documentation from his posted list in his office was brought in. He then denied the documentation. Nick has made this experience horrible. I would NEVER recommend going in to this dealer. I am making a formal complaint to his corporate office as well. Im completely disgusted at the way Nick has handled selling these cars and he is the full reason that I will not be completing the purchase to the vehicle.

Great used cars they sold my car with out a proper safety check and I went back and showed them paperwork from Toyota showing the results of the safety check and they replaced both of the rear tires.

The car I was sold was reduce $1,200 from dealer price. Miles were 33,000 after all the paper work was done and I was ready to leave, I was given only one key, no carpets on the car, the car was not clean because it was a holiday, a mistake was done on the title and my wife was not added and the car was an empty. Do the math the dealer price would have been much better. When i call to complain manager nevered call me back.

Too bad they closed the Lodi location. They were very considerate of our dilemma after an accident and needed a rental. Pricing was good because of our insurance we got a better rate with State Farm, however the $9.99 per gallon price to fill up was ridiculous. We filled up in Lodi but when we got to Stockton the tank was still full (almost on F) but they charged us for a gallon and a half of gas. SMHAlso, they consider a Buick Encore a full size vehicle. It is not. Its basically a compact car on raised suspension. The backseat is especially cramped for passengers unless the passengers are small children. Hardly any trunk space.

After driving almost 100mi and 2 hours it was a filthy LYE. Her manager Nicholas Sotelo just tried to give me $300 off (against company policy) for other car they had.A DISGUSTING CHEATING SCAMMING PLACE!!!!And, exactly a week later Monica the sales lady had the nerve/audacity, after LYING to me, robocalls me and asks if I am still in the market for a car.STAY AWAY FROM THIS AMATURE PLACE!!!

Worst service I ever experienced with car rentals, I dont think I would rent cars from Hertz nor would I recommend this place to anyone. I reserved a car for 9am pick up at the manteca branch when I got there they did not have a car for me so apparently they rented me a car they did not have in their inventory. Strike one. They were helpful in helping find a car at another branch in north stockton a 25 minute drive from manteca way out of my way but I need the car so what the hell. Strike two. The people in manteca offer me a discount for the inconvenience but the people in stockton did not honor it, now Im not looking for a hand out or anything but why offer something and not follow through thats just annoying. After almost two hours I got the car though but never again Hertz not for cars, equipment rentals are ok theyre pretty good in that area.

Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. John was my salesperson. I wanted to buy a used car that was just received on the lot right before I walked in but it was missing. John called around and found that it was at the detail shop across the street. Herz Auto Sales has a deal with this auto shop and they do all the detail work for them. He took me to the detail shop and got the car, then went with me on a test drive.The car got a flat tire on the test drive because Herz had not yet had a chance to check the tires (I was too impatient so not their fault). John and I got the spare tire out together while we waited for someone from the dealership to come and help us change it, then we headed back to the detail office and let them finish up with prepping the car while I did the paperwork to buy the car. The detail work was quick and thorough. The car was cleaned and polished inside and out. They even applied touch-up paint and buffed out the smaller scratches. They shampooed the floor mats and the carpet. When they were done the car looked almost brand new. I played games on my phone while they finished up preparing the paperwork. Finishing the paperwork was quick and easy despite the fact that they were moving into a new, bigger building. I drove away the same day in my new-to-me 2016 Nissan Versa Note SV with only 30k miles for about a grand below market price. Im very pleased with both the car and the buying experience.

Worst customer service at a car rental place. I was told Ill be called back after taking my number and never was. When I went into the office I was told there was no car available . Then when asked if it was insurance related the guy told me take a seat and wait 30min. What a bunch of b.s. I walked over to the next building and rented from Enterprise. Id suggest you save yourself the headache from dealing with this place.

Chuck the sales manager was rude, disrespectful and abusive. Promise to detail and fix a few scratches but when I arrived it was horrible experience. They wouldnt follow through and treated me horrible when I demanded to get what was promised.

We had a huge mix-up over tags and just a big issue and it went on for a few months and I was ready to leave a bad review but then they completely surprised me and they made it right and they took care of me as a customer and Ive completely changed my opinion hurts Auto sales is a great place and they have great prices on good cars and I highly recommend them

Had the pleasure of going to Hertz today to find my 84 year old mom a new car. Apparently the little things matter as we get older, like seat heights and head rests that arent. Luckily we met Larry, a true salesman that listens . We started with a rough budget and things she didnt like about the prior car. We also explained that getting in and out was of importance. Larry was very patient and talked and treated us like old friends. There was absolutely zero pressure to speed things up as my mother hobbled along with walker in tow. Once we narrowed our choices, she took one for a spin, when we returned Larry had thoughtfully brought around an extra option. Needless to say, but I will, he patiently stood with us for what seemed like way less than the 4 hours we had spent. He made it a comfortable experience all around and I couldnt more highly recommend him as a consultant for your automotive needs.
