Ive been a customer since 2014, and appreciate everything about the business. Dr. Somji is always up to date, has some lovely gadgets (3D models of my eye are so cool) and has expanded out into vision therapy and performance training. Ive been attending vision therapy appointments to help fix some focusing tendencies (not great for the long run) and can feel the benefits even after just a few weeks. I look forward to continuing to improve my reflexes, cognitive work and vision perception.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Sonja for several years. She suffers from very dry eyes and he has been able to effectively treat, providing her much relief. I don’t have any particular issues with my eyes, but he always fully explains what he does and discuss all of his findings and observations. The overall staff is very nice and genuinely care about the patient. Great Place !

The entire clinic is full of professionals who really know how to take care of you and test you comfortably. Dr Somji is a perfectionist in that he Applies his knowledge in that making certain you have the best care possible. He is very interested that you see perfectly. He takes the time with you. The clinic has some of the most sophisticated equipment I have ever seen. I have worked for over 25 years in the medical profession dealing with technology.The staff makes very sure that everything is clean and sanitized for Covid purposes. I feel safe there.

Friendly courteous and professional. When I walked in the front door I was greeted by the staff. My intake paper work was quickly processed and I was seem within 15 minutes. I felt comfortable with all the staff. I left with a smile on my face and confident in their knowledge and that they did everything to take care if me in the best way possible. I was COMPLETELY happy from start to finish!! The appointment process on line, filling the paperwork online was so easy and user friendly. They are completely safe as I had to call on arrival, they did a temp check, sanitizer and gave me a new mask... pricing is up front and there are optional scans available and priced accordingly. I am a new patient and they did a brief history, asked about all my troubles, dry eye etc. I spent a total of 1 hour which included the MOST through exam I had ever had, I opted for the extra scan which looked at my optic nerve, checked for all the potential problems. DR. Alireza Somji was above and beyond all my expectations, patiently answered my many questions, addressed all of my concerns and prescribed, drops and offered specific treatments for blocked tear duct. Everything was priced up front and there was NO pressure to buy any “extras”. Tu was very helpful finding the perfect pair of frames and I am very happy. Insurance covered and what wasn’t was by Carecredit. As a side note the doctor mentioned that he also has a sport performance clinic that helps teens who play sports get the perfect prescription for both school and athletics- works with the SKEETERS. 100% a patient for life. Mom has an appt next week

I feel as though my initial visit @ Horizon Eye Care was positive and I will recommend them to others. Since completing the program, I have noticed improvements with my vision such as increased focus when switching between near/far as well as an increase in my peripheral vision. Dr. Sana is awesome. She has been very helpful and super patient with me for my contact issues. I went back for a second visit yesterday and she gave me a different kind to try on so we can find something more comfortable for my eyes. The staff is also great. Ashley was quick to respond to my texts when I couldnt answer the phone and ensure my issues were addressed. Definitely recommend coming to Dr. Sana. They also do pediatric eye exams and we were able to get the whole family taken care of here.

The doctor is caring and knowledgeable... the staff is courteous... and the technology used for exams is state of the art... I absolutely am impressed with Dr Somji! He is very knowledgeable and up to date with technology! I was use to gas permeable lenses but it got to the point where I couldn’t wear them so was put in soft. They never worked well for me. When Dr Somji came to Horizon, he worked diligently to find a good contacts for me. He switched me to a new one in the market where it is gas permeable on the inside and the outside is soft for better comfort. He worked long hours on his own time with the manufacturers to get my best fit! He spends time with his patients explaining every aspect of their tests. About 6 years ago, he literally saved my eye sight. With a normal exam, not even special equipment, he found a tear in my retina. He had a surgeon ready for me within a couple of hours. I am so grateful to him. There are always competitors out there with deals to get you in. But is your sight worth it? Not mine! And all his staff are friendly and very helpful! Great place!

On my initial visit Dr. Somji helped pick a proper frame with gave an honest opinion. He patiently asked questions before suggesting what would be best for me. The first order I placed had a mix up and the road to correcting and making it right showed the professionalism, training and personal standards of ownership. After the mix up he stepped in and took responsibility of errors in and out of his control. Dr. Somji rolled out the red carpet to make sure I felt heard, personally followed up on and given the full experience of purchase. His staff, specifically Thu, kept in contact with status updates. Mainly due to manufacturer delays it took 3 months to come to today, the day I picked up my order, and I can tell you I am so very pleased with the frames and quality of lenses that I purchased. Dr Alireza Somji, O.D. is the best Eye Doctor I have ever had in my life. He has some great equipment that allows him to see behind the eye as well as take pictures of your eye. As a diabetic, it is very important to have my eyes examined yearly. He and his wife practice together and they will help you understand your eye health and take very good care of you. They are very interested in my well being and health. They take good care of our entire family. My son who is special needs gets great care there as well. My son wears glasses and Dr Somji is very good with him to walk him thru the various tests and makes him feel comfortable during the testing. Got my annual eye exam done here for the first time...and, with certainty, it was the last!They happily charged my insurance for a comprehensive exam but did not provide me with a prescription for my contacts, only glasses. The pretext used is that I did not accept to pay for the additional cost.When I went back to get the prescription and asked what extra I was required to pay to get a prescription of contact lenses, they would not provided me with a quote/estimate - just stating that the cost of contact lenses exams vary drastically. B.S. in its best form!The end result, I have gone to another optician and got my prescription ...and written a complaint to my insurance - as they claim that they paid for the contact lenses exam!

Dr. Somji is absolutely amazing. He truly cares about his patients vision and wants the best for them. I have been going here for years and hands down he is the best. On the other hand just about everytime I have to interact with THU (Chinese lady) she is very short and disrespectful. She does not care about customer service and/or patients. When I expressed my concern with her she absolutely nothing to say. I was there before another patient and standing there waiting for her to acknowledge me and says I will be right with you and does something else. Then Im still waiting and another lady walks in and she takes care of her needs and still leaves me waiting. She bothered when I asked her to call my insurance to find some details out. She definitely needs to adjust her attitude and learn some customer service skills. As far as the doctor he is awesome, caring and goes above and beyond!

Dr. Alireza Somji is very thorough!!! I had gotten something in my eye while in Buenos Aires and he did a total eye exam, including recommending using a moist heated towel on my eyes for 2 minutes and also recommended cleaning my eyes and eyelids, since I have blepharitis in my right eye. I bought the Bruder moist heat compress and used for 4 minutes and my eye felt immediately better. Also gave me some OCuSOFT lid scrub samples, which I will use. I have never had an eye doctor be that thorough before!! I will definitely use him as me eye doctor from now on!!!

I highly recommend Horizon eye care & optical due to the fact that Dr. Somji is a dedicated professional. His eye care staff is wonderful to work with from the moment you enter the facility to the time you walk out.I was fortunate to meet Dr. Somji thru a recommendation from a relative. My son and I went for our yearly eye exam and I can tell you that Dr. Somji is very dedicated to his craft. We both had a very thorough and comprehensive eye exam covering anything from a basic refraction and visual acuity tests to a Glaucoma test if necessary. I was able to get my reading prescription lens corrected. My son who is 13 on the other hand currently wear glasses and is a good candidate for Orthokeratology (ortho-k) to slow the progression of childhood Myopia. Ortho-k which is a specially designed gas permeable contact lenses that is worn overnight while you are asleep and is remove after waking up. The lenses gently reshape the front surface of his eye(cornea) so he would be able to see clearly the next day without having to wear glasses as well as slowing down his progression of Myopia.My son went thru a series of tests expanding a couple of weeks. He had custom lenses order specifically for his eyes. He was requested to wear it every night for 1 week and return for an analysis. Most doctor would be satisfied with the results that they have seen. Dr. Somji kept pushing for better results from ordering different lenses until he get a better fit. After a couple of weeks trying out different custom lenses at his expense and still wasn’t satisfy, he switched over to a different manufacture which resulted in a better fit and the test results show an impressive 10 percent improvement over the previous lens. So, the extra 10 percent improvement made it all worthwhile. Thank you Dr. Somji and your wonderful staff.
