Visionworks has been our store for many years but within the past three years we have dealt with Lexi and her staff and they have been fabulous. During this covid pandemic she had moved to a different location and we have followed her wherever shes at. We are very thankful for having an Associates like her and her team that are there to take the time with each client. We have felt very welcoming every time and she treats us like family
I love their safety practices!! I was able to make an appointment for a convenient time when their were not a lot of people in store. I purchased my new pair of glasses with ease and very helpful courteous service. I will recommend this location to my friends, family and co workers.
Great Value and great service, originally I was considering a luxury brand they were able to show me the value using my vsp insurance and, I got a great pair of glasses at a great price. I will definitely refer everyone I know.
I read the last few reviews and am more than happy to share my experience. I was recalled by Ahad and, at first i was hesitant to go in. He informed me it was more than a year since i’d been in. He assured me about their safety practices. he also helped me setup an appointment with the dr next door. The day of my visit the dr staff was amazing!!! after my visit i went next door to buy my glasses. The lady who greeted me was very nice and helpful. they do everything by appointment but took me right in as ahad had told me when we spoke. I was nervous about looking at eyewear but everyone was so helpful and helped me decide which pair was best since I have a high prescription. my glasses were done on time and as jalen had mentioned I received my text that they were ready. I called to setup my pickup appointment and Dylan fit me right in! i’ve been getting lots of compliments and can’t thank everyone at this location for their amazing service. you all are very patient and professional. thank you again! I appreciate what you all do 😉
Horrible customer service and they lie about delivery dates! If I could give 0 stars I would have! I had an eye exam after christmas and was sent next door to the Visionworks store to order my new glasses. I was in desperate need of a new pair of glasses since my prescription changed quite a bit and I managed to get some scratches on my current lens. I was quite concerned when I noted how many customers had come into the store looking for their glasses just to be told they hadnt arrived but the clerk that was placing my order swore the 11th of January was a worst case scenario! So i went ahead and placed my order. On the 11th i continued to check my phone hoping they would call but nothing on the 12th I called and spoke to the manager who told me that the factory was backed up due to the lens being transitions. I was livid I did not intend to even upgrade to transitions in the first place the clerk upselled them to me. I did not get a call to let me know there was a delay and was told they found out yesterday there was a delay. Im now being told it will be ATLEAST another week! I then tried to cancel my order which I was told would take another 10 days to cancel and refund the money I already paid for the glasses and because of the insurance have I would need to wait for everything to clear before I could take my business somewhere else. BEWARE they will take your money and hold you hostage. Terrible customer service I went to another company last year and received my glasses in under a week. If I would have known they would lie about the timing I would have placed my order elsewhere!----‐-------------------------------UPDATE: I responded per the owners request to this review but now understand their response to my review was merely written to make readers believe they would actually do something to fix my situation but it was a complete waste of my time. DONT be fooled this company are liars. Below is the response I received:Request Subject: [EXTERNAL]It looks like your order is still being processed in our lab. It shows that there is a new ETA of 1/22/21. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.Regards,Visionworks Customer Service- - - - - - - - - -I also went on the Check your status website to find out my order was STARTED meaning my order was FINALLY submitted yesterday when I called looking for my glasses NOT back on the 28th of December when I purchased them. Now im being told it will be ANOTHER 2 weeks because the store didnt send my order when I was charged for it so I will continue to sit and wait for something I was PROMISED. Dont be fooled by this company!------------------And now its the 18th still no glasses. The check your status website was finally updated to show my glasses were being made (I assume thats because of my previous mention!) But it still shows---------------This process has been EXTREMELY frustrating its now the 19th and now the Check your status shows PENDING. Yesterday it said they were being Made now the status is blank like they have lost my order! Completely exhausted by this entire process it has taken nearly a month and still NO glasses and the website they have to track your order has no clue when you can expect them?
Very poor the support from Lexi. I am so sorry to write this bad review today the last day of 2020. Here I go. Yesterday I talked to this lady at Visionworks in First Colony Mall at Sugar Land just after my optometrist appointment located aside of this business and she was kind at the beginning and explained to me how to search on the glasses frames, but at the time she looked-up on my insurance, she failed. I told her the front desk of the optometrist did not have any issue to find my vsp insurance however she still couldn’t get my data. Then I had to wait until the next day, she called me and told me couldn’t make it to find my data on the vsp insurance even after checking my data with the optometrist front desk. Then, Lexi told me to call my insurance and get my ID number which never is disclosed in the VSP card for security reasons she must know but she did not know. Then I had to call twice my insurance because when Lexi found me, she told me that the material on my insurance is “blocked”, so I had to call for a 2nd time to my insurance and the agent kindly told me they (Visionworks) have to call them using an specific phone number & they have to ask approval to unlock the materials but that procedure is “common” for all glasses providers and is unbelievable this lady did not know how to proceed on that. In the end when I told that to Lexi (to call again my insurance and request to unlock the materials)then she committed to call me in order to make sure everything is fine and set a time to meet. I waited for her call and I ended going to another provider called Vision Source in Sugar Land and definitely I got the service I expected & deserved. They found my data in my insurance quickly without any issue and I bought my glasses in less than an hour as I had to select my frame again. Definitely to Visionworks I can say that you have lost one customer but if you do not want to loose more customers please give more training to Lexi so that she does not make the same mistake with your next customer. My daughter and I had great service from the General Manager Lixi. She went above and beyond. After going someplace else and being told they could not fix my daughters glasses, she took her time and fixed the glasses. I was so happy I took advantage of a great in store sale. Upon walking into Visionworks I was a bit hesitant due to the fact this was my first prescription set of glasses. However after a warm enthusiastic welcome, I was instantly drawn in. Jermaine and Donald were not only extremely knowledgeable on what would work best for me in the aspect of fit, but my everyday lifestyle needs. In addition to having the option for same day service I would recommend this location to my friends and family for many years to come I definitely plan on being a return customer.
This is a great place. The representatives there are so nice, professional and caring. They tried hard to answers your questions and helped you out with your demands. Definitely recommend this place to anybody who needs a pair of glasses.
Rude customer service. When I came in to get my glasses looked at, whoever the big lady working the front was, was extremely rude. I think she was even a manager. Apparently serving your customer is a hassle. Lady, you mocked me to your coworker right in front of me. Youre not clever. And then you didnt even wind up helping me. Your first words to me were rude right from the start. I was extremely polite and you were still rude. Way to start it off on such a good note.When I first bought my glasses, I was very happy with my experience. Got my glasses in a reasonable amount of time and was on my way. I bought the protection plan just in case something happened. And something happened. There was a problem with the coating on the lens that they put on. A problem with their coating and how it was installed. I took it in and was told that I can only use this protection plan once. Supposedly protected for a full year, unless you need to get them fixed. Im very unhappy with my experience now. Ill be getting my next glasses elsewhere.

Been coming here since 2009. Can’t recommend this place enough! I needed a repair on a 10 year old pair of frames (that were in good condition) and they fixed it right away for me. Got new lenses on those and picked up another pair all for a great price.

I made two pairs of glasses in this vision work half year ago.The first time I went there, the assistant who help with patience and very friendly. However, my second and third experiences are not so good when I went back to pick my glasses. Some of the shop assistants are nice and friendly. But not all of them.The biggest problem is both two pairs of glasses have problems. One of the frame have scratches and another goggle have scratches on the lens. They promise to replace the scratched frame, but I didnt get anything after months.

Excellent service! I went in at around 7:00 and got my glassses back the very next day at 2:00 (4 hours earlier than promised)! I absolutely love them! I would give this location the highest rating possible. They are above and beyond with customer service, their selection is great with all price points and a gear variety. I purchased glasses for my whole family and we are all very pleased! My son had a problem with the prescription and they fixed it right away! I highly recommend Visionworks-especially this location! I went into Visionworks First Colony about 2 weeks ago to get new glasses. I cannot express how stellar the customer service was from Alex! He was affable, knowledgeable, and thorough. I am a first-time progressive glasses wearer, and Alex took all the time needed to answer my many questions and explain what my available options were as well as what I could expect in transitioning from single-focal to progressives. He even hunted down the particular frame I had tried on and wanted in March which was no longer in the store when I was ready to make my purchase! I left the store feeling very confident in both my choices of frame and lenses as well as having chosen Visionworks Sugarland to patronize, and that was all due to Alex (and the other young man, Jabari, who was helping another customer) that evening.When I went back to pick up my new specs this weekend, to my chagrin, Alex was not there, but Jermaine was. WHAT A CONTRAST IN CUSTOMER SERVICE, as Jermaine provided none. He was rude and condescending, and when I asked him to adjust my new frames because they were sliding down my nose, he refused, stating that he was the professional and that they didnt need to be adjusted despite the fact that he was not wearing them--I was! When I told him that I had been wearing glasses since I was a child and that I knew how they should feel and fit, he dismissed me with a Well, since you know everything... Needless to say, I left very unsatisfied that day, and went back in today to see Alex, who continued with his immaculate customer service, and made some adjustments to my frames. I will definitely continue to go back as long as Alex is my consultant! He is the reason I give this 5-star rating. Thanks again!

Not very happy with them this time. My famy always gets glasses here. This time i had to get 2 pair because i couldnt get used to wearing the progressive lenses. So it cost me double since i got 2 pair. I didnt get the warranty, but i did get the BEST LENSES that they sell. I called that there was sparkling spots on my lenses that would not go away. They told me to bring them in, so i did. Ha! WHAT a joke. They told me all we can offer is for me to buy the warranty $40.00 and pay $10..00 for the lenses to be replaced also. Excuse me i just paid $500 for these glasses... I am not Happy !!!!

Their price is not decent at all. My 15 year old needs single vision lenz with minimum nearsightedness (-2.25). With insurance plan, they wanted to charge $185 for lenses only for just one pair of glasses after insurance coverage. The manager there did not look very happy when I mentioned I would like to compare prices somewhere else. Not to mention, this is after I already spent approx. $600 for my own glasses over there. We then went to costco, even without insurance, the most expensive frame cost $129 with average between $55-$75. The lens cost $49.99 and come with all the features, anti-scratch, high index, blue light protection which Vision works wants to charge additional $30. With $200, WITHOUT insurance, I was able to get my 15 year old 2 pair of glasses, one pair regular and one pair prescription sunglasses, frames included. I dont understand why anyone would go to Visionworks. At their price, they have guts to tell me if I would like to have warranty, I need to purchase that in addition. At least when I pay this kind price at Lenscrafters, they come with one year warranty. The selection of the frames are not high end, designer brand at vision works either, so there is not much difference from frames you could get from Costco. Next year, we will not choose vision coverage for the family instead, we would just go to Costco. Its still cheaper even if you have to buy a membership for 60 for that purpose. If you want good customer service, the Costco vision desk actually told me to take picture of my chosen frames and come back in a week because they were going to have back to school sale for kids which would save another $50. You simply can not beat that kind service and price.
Donald was so helpful in repairing my sunglasses and Vikash was awesome and quite knowledgeable, about prescriptions that myself and my wife needed.I would highly recommend the first colony store they are awesome even the wait was very short.

Jabari worked with me for the nearly 3 hours that I was in store for, helping me with the insurance company, choosing frames, and explaining the details of each component of my purchase. He was very patient and offered options without pushing me into choosing the more expensive one. I had been to the Pearland location previously but did not have as good an experience as this one, so I would definitely prefer to come here next time!
Updated a week after: After having my glasses for couple days, I noticed a difference to my old glasses. The new one is kind of unclear and dully eventhough I had polycarbonate lenses ( anti-glare, scratch resistant...) just like my old one. The light reflect more on my new lenses than my old one.I came back to the store and ask wheter my lenses are polycarbonate or maybe they put the regular one. They said it was polycarbonate lenses. I explained the difference to my old glasses to them.They also saw the difference. After a while, they told me the new lenses I had was polycarbonate lenses but came with percentage of coating for anti-glare. If I want it clear like my old one, I have to pay more for recommended coat.... What!? I’m sorry, I might not know this before but this was the first time I heard this. When I got my old lenses, they recommended me polycarbonate lenses for anti-glare and it was clear like a blue sky... No one told me in the beginning that polycarbonate lenses will come in percentage of anti-glare and I will have to pay more to see clearer... If you guys want customer pay more out of pocket, you should inform them from the beginning.I paid extra but the quality didn’t even meet my old lenses.——————————————————————————Very professional, They also speed up the process and I can pick up my glasses in 45 minutes( usually take 1.5hrs)Definitely will come back
I been doing business with vision works for a long time but this year there service is horrible I bought 2 pairs of prescription glasses about 2 weeks ago but when my wife pick up my frames I guess they didnt think about checking the frames before giving it to her one pair was perfect but the other pair witch are Ray-Ban were damage I took the one frame back the very next day and all they wanted to do is heat up the frame to try to make it straight I refuse to take the frame back and ask for a new frame and the manager that was there said she couldnt she said she had to talk to the day time management to approve the exchange Im very dissatisfied, disappointed by the way they do business I will never come back and I recommend no one goes to this location

Visionworks has a systematic pattern of shady sales tactics. They take advantage of unknowledgeable consumers, confuse them, dupe them into making purchases that they dont need.Ill confess to having had bad experiences at Visionworks before, but up until now, Id thought those were based on individuals. Now I realize its an institutional problem.I was lied to by Visionworks employees--both technicians and sales consultants--about what lens I needed in order to see properly. I was told that the basic lens wouldnt work because I wouldnt be able to see properly, but when I fact checked that claim against my optometrist and other optical providers, I found that to be a lie in order to make a buck.Or in my case, over $200 out of pocket on lenses that I didnt need.It is deeply disappointing that they care so little about what is best for their customer and more about what is best for themselves. People deserve better, and frankly, they should be ashamed.
Donald was great love the selection of lenses although I had my heart set on a pair of coach lenses I saw on line only to discover they are in select stores only.

My girlfriend and I walked into visionworks today just to price some glasses. So when we walk in we werent even greeted at the door making me upset about even walking in. Then we met the coolest employee in Vikash. He was very knowledgeable and taught us some secrets on how to pick glasses that the normal consumer doesnt know. He got us a really good deal on 2 new frames and lenses without insurance. I highly recommend you go and talk with my boy vikash, and tell him Jamboree and Laura sent you down.
