A nice little retreat tucked just behind the hustle bustle of the commercialized main Highway 6, this place is on the corner of W Belfort and old richmond. We had corn in a cup, root beer malt and shaved ice. Everything turned out to be good.

Ice barn feels so homely. The food will remind you of elementary school lunch or “kid food,” but in a good way. They have outdoor seating and an outhouse. If you give them a tip, the workers will “moo” for you haha. They have over 100 flavors for their shaved ice!

Average snowballs. They were super sweet. I tried the coffee with sweetened condensed milk and could only take a couple of sips. The shakes looked tasty, so Ill try that next time Im in the area.

If you want to eat like a kid this is the place. The shaved ice texture is excellent, the flavors are pretty true to form, and the service is top notch. Great snack food menu with portions large enough to share. Theres something for everyone, even if you dont want sweet.Definitely going to be a regular!

I got a small ice cream and marichino cherry sno cone for $2 a piece and $3.50 corn in a cup. Prices were high for my liking but I guess its due to covid. The snocones tasted light in sugar so they were ok not what I usually have. The corn in a cup was trash. Pretty sure its frozen corn in a bag, not at all authentic like street corn. Ill try a different place next round.

Have gone by to get some elote and shaved ice on a few occasions and I’m never disappointed. The mix of flavors with the elote is pretty unique and makes for one of the better options in town. We also ate the Dorinachos w/ Chili & Cheese and added jalapeños as well to give it a good amount of spice. Both the Dorinachos and Elote were perfect options to share with another person, so that worked out well for us. They also go with pretty good ratios of ice and syrup on their shaved ice, while also offering a ridiculous number flavor/toppings. I’m looking forward to my next trip for both shaved ice and elote.

Tons of flavors for snow cones in a variety of sizes, you can mix and match flavors. As well as other snacks and treats. They have a covered picnic area to eat at with tables and lots of space.

The ice barn is just minutes away from my job.my favorite there is raspberry snow cone with ice cream in the middle and cream on top. I really enjoyed the chopped pickles with Kool-Aid on top. one of my best friends and I always sit and have a nice talk at the ice Barn along with our sweet treats and snacks.. pickle shots, chips and candy.

My go-to snow cone flavor is Tigers Blood with chamoy. There are 3 sizes to choose from; I am always satisfied with the small size. There are lots of flavors to choose from, but I have yet to try other flavors. Also, there are a variety of snacks for purchase. The last time I came the wait wasnt bad, but this place can get super crowded on hot days, just a warning!

Cute little shack that serves a variety of snow cones! This is literally the best treat during summertime. Would take my nieces here at-least once a week during summer. They love it and so do I. So simple but so good! Always get a snow cone and frito pie! Awesome combo!

We usually come no probm but friend and i got sick for a few days from the chili nachos and cheese which is not good. long wait and charge extra for cup holders. wednesday afternoon hair in my food. i asked for a refund staff told me it wasnt their problem. i understand if you are busy but if you want to keep your custmers you gotta treat. them right. i will not be coming back any longer and bahama buck is way more for a small and more of the flavoring anyways xx

I have been going to your place for as long as I can remember. Todays visit was a total disappointment. After waiting for TWO snow cones (NO FOOD) in excess of 20 minutes, I had to cut into a customer who has placed an order well past ours. Evidently my ticket was lost. Instead of making my order, which was misplaced, a priority, I have had to wait another 10 minutes and 4 other customers behind us have received their orders. UNACCEPTABLE PRACTICE.37 minutes later, we finally received our order, and the employee had the audacity to make it seem as tho it WAS MY FAULT that the order was lost????Basically told me I should have the start time of when the order was put it. What is that information going to do to the issue? My Order was lost. THAT IS THAT. how is that the customers FAULT?HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO WAIT FOR OVER HALF AN HOUR FOR 2 SNOW CONES....?The mistake was not what got me upset. It is the fact that You made it seem as tho it was my fault that your service failed.I would still visit you and have my business.But you need to make a mistake a priority when it arises in the future.

Yummy and cheap! Ive been coming here for a little over a year now and I always get a wedding cake/cake batter snowcone with condensed milk. So sweet and creamy! Unlike most snowcone places, they dont skimp on syrup either. Each bite is equally sweetened with the flavor of your choosing. Every now and again Ill get a pickle shot (frozen pickle juice in a 1oz-$.25 or 3oz-$.50 cup) or hot cheetos and cheese (a bag of hot cheetos cut open with nacho cheese sauce poured on top). So much unhealthy goodness lol

This place has a load of different flavors, which is both neat and overwhelming. They also have canned sodas and other foods like hotdogs and nachos. Its nice to come here after being out with the family. The only downside is that it may take around 5-10 minutes for your order to be made. Its understandable though, since its a small stand and they can get very busy. The shaved ice was good, regardless.

The service deserves zero stars. The snow cones, ice cream, and other food items they have are very delicious. Because they are so good, it is always busy, which is no problem, the taste is worth the wait. But the staff is rude and they dont care about serving you. If its full of people, they tell you that the wait is going to be long, which again is no problem. But they call your name, which you can hardly hear because 1.) there are a lot of people outside talking with their friends and family 2.) they are inside the little barn and they yell your name, which may sound loud inside the barn but its hardly audible outside even if you are close to the window, which is crowded with people waiting for their order. Then they get mad and rude when you ask if your order has been called, and they state we called your name but you never came to get your order so we moved on. Of course I didnt come when you called my name, I can hardly make out what anyone is saying with all these people. Look, the solution is simple, go the extra mile to get people their orders. These people come and spend their money on your business, you should put some care into whether they get the food they paid for. Customers are difficult to deal with, I know, the service industry, especially the food service industry, is especially difficult, but that doesnt mean the customer doesnt deserve to get serviced the right way.

Ice Barn is closed for the winter and it is so sad. They have a really nice selection of sugar-free snow cone syrups. The people who work inside the shack are also really friendly. If you go here make sure to get the corn in a cup because it is one of the best that you can get in the area.

My daughter took ro get a ice cone. It was inside a cup. I had almost finished but when we got home I left it on my night stand all nigh when the little that was left melt I was shocked to bone what was at the bottom of the cup. I recently found this place because of friend and it was my go to spot this past summer. They have an unimaginable number of snow cone flavors and lots of great snacks! Their snow cones are very cheap and you have options of adding cream, chili, fruit etc. My favorite snack here is corn in a cup. Its corn, lemon juice, spicy chili sauce, mayo and cheese. Their frito pie is also very good! Its just a great place to cool down during the summer heat

I just discovered that this place is within 5 minutes from me. I cannot tell you how excited I am. Its a great place to cool off in this horrendous summer heat. There are endless possibilities for snow cone flavors and the staff is friendly. The best part is that they also offer other snacks like pickles and hot Cheetos with cheese. Drool! How could I forget the corn in the cup??! This by far was my favorite item. You get a great amount with great spicy sauce. Great patio for seating. I like that they play music and make it a fun environment for kids and families. Since they offer seasonal items, they will close come Fall/Winter. I hope they dont!!! They should serve hot chocolate and other holiday items to keep open. I will be so upset when they close for the colder seasons. I hope they also add more specialty items to their flavor menu. We definitely need more places like the Ice Barn in the surrounding Houston area. What a gem!

Snow cone was delicious, natural mango, but the ice wasnt smooth (like bahama bucks) so I paid $8 for frozen mango in a cup. Kind of pricey. But it was delicious.

I just had the worst experience at Ice Barn. I usually look forward to going Ice Barn. I have always had a great experience. This time around it was not the same. I was informed when I got to the window that there would an hour wait for snow cones. This wasnt really the problem. I ended up ordering corn in a cup. After a few minutes, I thought I heard my name. By the time, I made my way through the crowd they had closed the window. I tried to ask about my order and when I was in line I heard my name. I finally was able to get to the person giving me my order. When I got there she responded rudely by saying I was calling your name for like 10 minutes. I was very shocked at her response and picked up my order and moved on. I probably will not be wasting any more time at here. This place has definitely changed in the past few years. I would save time and money and go to Bahama Bucks. Atleast you wont be spoken to in a rude manner.

I’ve been standing out side waiting to order while two teenage Hispanic guys go back and forth between the ice barn and supplies. No one made any attempt to help me or take my order I just got in my car after waiting in the heat for five minutes while they repeatedly walked past with ZERO customer attentiveness
