After a month of searching for answers as to why my laptop would not hold a charge I was so fortunate to come to MIT and receive the best service from Vahan.Both Dell and Best Buy kept giving me the runaround. The service at MIT was fast, outstanding, they are not going to over charge you and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. I highly recommend MIT and Vahan if you need assistance with fixing your computer. You won’t be disappointed.

It was my first time building a PC myself. Had some slight errors and some motherboard issues but I was able to have it recovered by the help of Jose. He was able to provide me with detailed responses on what was going on with my PC and had it fixed the next day. Would recommend for services.

Horrible service. Dropped my computer off over 4 weeks ago and had to call repeatedly to receive any service. Was given multiple dates for a final repair, and was always told something else was wrong. I was not reached out to or called when I was told I’d be called. If I could give lower stars I would.Edited for more information: Jose did not call me after telling me he would return my call later that day. When I gave him as much time as possible, and called before MIT closed, he spoke to me like a child.Upon picking up my laptop, they handed me pieces of my computer in a static bag, as well as the laptop still split open on the back, and missing multiple screws.If I was any more upset, I would have asked to get the diagnostic fee refunded and be compensated for my time. In the kindest way possible, MIT deserves NO business, and their employees could do well with a lesson in manners.

Jose is a gem! If anyone is to go here, I recommend speaking with him. Hes very honest and will provide you quality service. I had an issue where another employee caused problems with my operating system and tried to charge me an extra $150 for this new problem. Jose worked with my computer initially, and he knew my computer did not have this problem prior to me bringing it in. Hes now correcting the problem free of charge. Seriously. If anyone comes here talk to Jose. You will not be disappointed!

Andrew was awesome! He took the time to really help me, I was buying a computer from someone on letgo and he checked it over and made sure everything was in tip top shape and helped me from start to finish getting it all set up and ready to go! He kept friendly conversation the whole time and was very informative about different things having to do with computers. 10/10 would recommend visiting! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Did not get my issues resolved but the guy behind the counter gave great advice and suggested couple of solution to the problem.

They fixed the main issue that I came for. To fix the plastic cover from computer. But eventually I got my computer with “new” cover that was scratched all over, and the stuff that worked previously did not work after, for example camera on computer that is an essential part.Not to mentioned that I payed more than what it was originally told to me before I agreed to fix the computer. I would say you would have to be lucky with them. Not that they are bad but obviously they are not precise 100%.

Mit computers and Jose being there when you need them is a blessing in it self. I got done finishing my pc build but my gpu lever broke off and my gpu was now stuck. Long story short everything was fixed.They know what there doing . Im extremely grateful for being able to go there and experience there customer service. It is my go to place with any problems with hardware now.

I had my computer worked on by MIT about a year ago. They do fantastic work. My grandson needed some work done on his computer so he took his up to MIT. Vahan took care of all of the ordering of the parts and making sure everything was working good before we took it home. I recommend MIT to everyone.

Andrew is a great representative and tech. He helped me get my phone fixed when I came in because the screen wasnt sitting right. He was very fast and efficient with getting it repaired even when there were other customers that he had to take care of. I highly recommend this place just based off Andrew taking care of me.

This is the place to go if you need anything to do with a computer. I went in for just a $10 cable and was treated the same as someone getting a computer. The gentleman that served me took over half an hour to assist me as I was clueless and he wanted to make sure I got what I needed. Give them more than 5 stars for sure

Considering how much my electronics mean to me especially my laptop which I use for school, work and gaming. It was absolutely mandatory to get the best service for my items when they werent working properly. I came in and by the next day had my diagnostic done and repairs started. Within two days I had a brand new upgraded memory unit (RAM) a brand new upgraded hard drive, and I was even more surprised with the additions they added on for me. I am now a proud member of MIT Computers Tech Club, which gave me discounts on my total and many other benefits. Thanks Jon for this fantastic experience hopefully none of my electronics mess up but if they do I know where Im going.

This is not the first time that MIT has helped me with a issue. Today I went in because my old laptop(Toshiba) was not turn on! The guy(never got his name) was more than eager to help me the issue.Turns out all I needed was a charger! Thankful it was very affordable. Not only that, he was able to reset my password because I couldn’t remember it at all. He gave me good advice as well. I’ll be sure to go there again for anymore troubles.

I recently bought a computer from this company and was told I could return it within 60 days. However when I went to return it they told me I couldnt that I could only exchange or have them fix my computer for me. That is not at all what they said when I purchase a computer I put a good review shortly after buying the computer because while I was in there they had me do it however now Im putting the actual review because my computer runs slow its not a good computer I paid almost $300 for a computer that runs horribly and just the customer service anytime I go to take it up there has always been really not helpful. This is my first bad review that Ive ever posted so I feel horrible and doing so but I just had to do it because now Im stuck with a computer that doesnt work and Im a single mother of two children so I dont have $300 to just flush down the toilet like this. So I just want to thank the company for having me waste 300 of my hard-earned money

I’ve been here twice for phone screen replacements. Each time, the staff was friendly, fast, and affordable. One time it only took the team one hour to replace my phone screen, even without me giving them a heads-up! Friendly and trustworthy!

This place is amazing! I had taken my laptop to another place and the price they quoted me was super cheap. You get what you pay for: they didnt fix anything and I tried to take it back to them, but they were no longer in business! Found MIT in a Google search and the reviews looked good. Went in and Mike was incredibly helpful. Took care of all the issues with my laptop, and I swear its running better than the day I bought it. The price was more than fair considering that things are really fixed now. This is the only place Ill take my electronics from now on. And they build custom desktop computers. Seriously thinking about buying one...

My screen, hard drive and charger connection were all damaged...they fixed the charger jack...i paid 200 for a 1 year service contract....they advised me it would be more cost efficient to get another computer..they offered me a replacement computer for 200.00...i declined their offer only because my mom decided to get a new laptop so i would get her old one.. they took that extra step and credited my credit card back the 200 service charge..and only charged me the 20.00 for the cost of the part they fixed..excellent customer service...and total fairness...thanks- MIT...

I was provided a quote to replace my Asus screen, and after the insurance money came through, I called to have the work done. I was told I would be called back multiple times, which never happened. Jon was able to diagnose and fix my laptop in 2 hours.I had a white screen and could have been any number of issues (screen, cable, VGA board) He correctly identified the screen was faulty and replaced it.I needed the laptop for work ASAP so I paid for expedited service. Not cheap, but a 2 hour turn around time is amazing! Great customer service and a pleasure to work with!

Wow. I do not usually write reviews unless I have an extremely positive, or extremely negative experience. In todays world where interactions are mostly via phone and dealing with issues takes emails, online tickets, etc., I was very happy to walk in and see a friendly face ready to help. A year ago I built my own PC and do not know a whole lot of details about computers. I brought mine in for a diagnostics and really just to have a general check. Over the course of a week (it did not take a week to do the diagnostics, rather I came in, came back with computer a few days later, and then decided to wait another two days) I was helped by both Vahan and Andrew. Both of these individuals should be very proud of their people, and customer service skills. Finally, after I eventually left the computer with them, I came back in to discuss the results and they did an absolutely incredible job talking me through what they determined, and then, they walked me through step by step what they would recommend I do with my PC. NEVER ONCE did they push products or push services. In fact, they told me that the PC was in good health, but the fan was reaching the end of life, I had a very low storage HD, and then things that they would recommend I do IF I wanted to upgrade. As I go through this next year, I will ABSOLUTELY continue to have MIT Computers perform the upgrades. I am now a long time customer. Thank you Andrew and Vahan.

These guys were very professional, helpful, and honest. I went in there after spilling soda all over my laptop. I paid the $40 diagnostic fee expecting the worst to get a phone call 3 days early saying it just needed to be cleaned for an additional $20. My computer went from being completely inoperable to fully functioning within a day or two for $60. The staff is very knowledgeable and have great customer service. When I received the computer, it had another small problem, so I took it back. The gentlemen took it apart, adjusted something, and I was out in less than 5 minutes at no charge. I would highly recommend this location. No wonder there reviews are so high.

Very happy with these guys. A critical machine in our office wouldnt startup after a shutdown - I used their stat diagnostic service: bad power supply and bad RAM. They had it up and running in less than 2 hours.

So I went with my SO to this shop 3 days ago to look for a PC case to replace his (broke while moving back to FL thanks to an unfortunate drop). This was the 2nd place we went to in the area and the guy there went above and beyond. He gave us a card so I could call the other MITs and see if they had the type of PC case I was looking for to replace my SOs and went online looking through inventory listings of local shops that might carry it. Unfortunately local stores werent carrying a mid or full tower with 165mm or more cpu cooler height clearence with a mesh front, but this guy let us sit inside call, and helped us look. He saved us about 2 or 3 hours of time going on a wold goose chase. Excellent. Customer service.

I was ready to give up on my laptop until I thought about MIT computers. My laptop wouldnt charge it was cracked on the right side corner and the DVD was not working. Everything is like new thank you MIT computers.

My cell had a stuck power button recently. I took it apart to unstick the button and, once fixed, I stopped getting cell reception. I took it to MIT where Braden spotted immediately that the antenna wire wasnt present. Though I was extra cautious, it apparently fell out during the unsticking process. As my phone is a bit older, they didnt have the exact antenna but Braden was able to find one that he could work into place with a little bit of Repair Tech creativity. Since it isnt the right part, there is the chance it will dislodge but I saw reception right off the bat. He also told me he saw the correct part online for $6 so, if I need to replace it, I know where to look. I figured a newer antenna wire and the assistance would probably be $20+ but when I asked what I owed he just told me not to worry about it. When I asked if he was sure he just said if I wanted to, maybe I could post a review. Ill definitely be going back should I have future tech issues. Oh, and when I got there, he was on the phone with a customer who was complaining about a system recovery/reinstall fee. It would have been easy to let that previous interaction bleed into assisting me but he didnt. And one last thing, I saw a review saying they are hard to get on the phone. Its a one person shop and they dont answer the phone when they are assisting customers. It may be hard to reach them by phone but I wouldnt let that dissuade you. Thanks for the help, Braden!

Absolutely awful experience. I went in to get a quote on a repair for my laptop and the owner was incredibly rude. Not only was he dismissive, but he didn’t bother to listen or understand the problem I was having with my computer before throwing prices at me. The best part was when he quoted me the same thing TWICE, but with DIFFERENT PRICES. The first one was significantly lower than the second, though I had literally just asked him about it. He took my laptop with his dirty hands into the backroom without asking me, and then got annoyed when I asked him questions. This encounter lasted less than five minutes, and the whole time he acted like he couldn’t care less and that I was a bother to him. Would not recommend coming here.

I took my laptop there because my laptop screen was going bad and asked them to diagnose the problem. They told me I need a new graphics card and then tried to sell me one of their bs laptops. I took it somewhere else and they said I just needed a new screen. They charged me to look at it and I dont think they even opened my laptop to really take a look, theyre lazy and just looking for a quick buck. Real professionals at MIT.

Jon provides excellent customer service and it was a pleasure doing business with him. However, the company charged me $600 to change 2 DC jacks and repair one screen on my iPhone. They offered me a membership to cover the labor charges for any work they did on 5 electronics but Id still have to pay for parts which would be disclosed after each item was diagnosed. 2 out of 5 items were unable to be fixed without charging me at least another $200 (so the 1 year warranty on those items was a total waste of money). I paid a separate $100 just to diagnose a hardrive that ended up costing $1100 to fix (which I declined). I dont feel like I got my $$s worth and Ill use my local Computer Repair guy next time.

The pricing was competitive. They have a $40 diagnostic fee that is applied toward the repair. They accept major credit cards except Discover.We have worked with quite a few computer and phone repair services, but MIT on Fowler stands out - we will return!
