Went in to browse as I knew it was no longer Sears. I had made purchases when it was Sears and it seemed a bit of controlled chaos in there. I have to say, they have stepped- their game a LOT! The store is very clean, there are new products in there from my prior visits (furniture and such) and they seem to really care about the stores image! They WANT to help you and they care about your opinion of them... they want repeat customers! If you are looking to buy furniture or appliances, Id definitely take a look there! I spoke with Brenda-she was very welcoming and knowledgeable. Ill definitely go back there!

Eva and her team was AWESOME! My husband and I went into the store to purchase a refrigerator and dishwasher. We were able to find both at a very reasonable price. We didn’t need delivery services, so we were in & out.

This store was so organized, the staff was very friendly and provided excellent customer service. Yes I did visit both stores (Livonia and Taylor) and I left each one with a smile. Great place to go for appliances if you don’t mind a little dent here and there!

Update:American Freight quickly contacted me to make this right. They offered to bring a replacement machine the next day. However, that would have meant I would need to uninstall the first machine and reinstall the second. They then offered to compensate for the cost of the repair, which was a good solution for both of us. In the end, Im completely satisfied. Sometimes stuff happens, they didnt intend to sell me a machine that wasnt as listed, and when I brought it to their attention they were quick to take full responsibility. I give 5 stars for customer service, but 4 overall because this situation could have been avoided.Original Post:I purchased a laundry center last week. The listing on their website said this was a floor model which I took to mean it was on a sales floor for customers to look at but had not been installed. However, when I got it home it was clear this had been used. There was pipe dope on the gas line, lint in the lint filter and water stains on the washer tub. At that point it would have been a huge hassle to return it, so I decided to install it and test it out. Unfortunately, it didnt work. The washer lid switch was intermittent, you had to push down on the lid to make it work. I replaced the lid switch but it still didnt work, the plunger on the lid simply isnt pushing down far enough on the switch. Im going to try a new plunger next. Removing the lid bumper allowed the lid to close a little more which is getting us by for now. There is no way I would have bought this if I had known it was both used and broken. Buyer beware, the prices may seem good but only if you truly get a floor model or something with a scratch or dent, if you get a broken, used appliance you might wish you had just bought new instead.

So this location is no longer a Sears outlet. The Sears outlet on Plymouth Rd is the best! The location on telegraph rd next to Ollies is okay but the prices are higher. Not sure if thats covid related

Normally don’t do this --- but I would like to take this time to appreciate and thank American Freight team located at 9860 Telegraph Rd, Taylor MI (Laureen Brenda and Randy) especially Laureen going above and beyond sending more pictures of the Item. This was my first time purchasing appliances from American freight. My previous experience with other American freight members/stores has been very bad on phone or in person. Examples – some product listed online either wrong pictures or brand… And I decided not to purchase anything with this company ...but my last call luckily was someone who was willing to assist … and that was Laureen at Taylor MI..

Got a great deal on a washer and dryer today. $50 down today, $1000 for the set, and we took them home with us. Roger and Loreen were very polite and knowledgeable. Although the deal we got on a brand new washer and dryer was great, the customer service means even more. Its hard to find good customer service anymore, but these two made us feel like a couple of friends. I highly recommend the Taylor location. We will be recommending you to our friends/family and surely we will be back again.

This store is awesome to include all the team. Roger is a great manager and really went beyond the call to ensure that I received the best product at a great price. I had a issue with the original washer, dryer set and they were quick to help resolve and correct the issues. I would recommend this store to anyone as the products and personnel working at the store are awesome. Next time you are at the store please either. Ask for him or the store manager they truly ensure they meet customer service expectations.

American Freight has never really been on the top of my list as a place to go for the kinds of things they sell but, today the Taylor location just made me change my mind. Where ABC and Lowes failed, American Freight came through. Thank you American Freight and Seva (sorry if spelled your name wrong) was a household hero today. This will be the first place I go for my next appliance.Details: I ordered a washer and dryer from ABC and waited a week for the delivery. When they arrived, the washer was damaged so they took that back. But only being able to take 2 appliances with them, (the damaged washer and my old dryer) I was left with my old washer sitting on my front lawn wondering what to do with it. After a call to ABC, they said the next date I would be able to get the washer was another week. Going on 3 weeks without a washer we cancelled it and looked elswhere. In comes Lowes. Went to the store and was told they had A LOT of the washer I wanted. Scheduled delivery was in 2 days. Waited all day for them to arrive for them to not show up. Called the store and to make a long story short here is they lost the washer and didnt know where it was. How do you lose a washing machine? After getting the run around from several people and knowing nobody was going to help before Monday, we looked elswhere again. Called American Freight, they have several. Walked in and walked out with the washer in a half hour. Now time to cancel yet another washer from another major store. This experience was not for the faint hearted and Im so thankful for American Freight. Moral of the story, pick it up if you can. Dont rely on delivery and check out American Freight in Taylor!!

This store is pretty amazing. Good products, at good prices! Hubby and I came in to looks at dishwashers, which they have a fantastic selection of, and ended up leaving with an amazingly priced area rug! The employees are very helpful, we were waited on by a wonderful lady named Brenda! She found the rug I wanted and totally made my day! We will be back most definitely.

We purchased our new couch from here July 2021 and weve been loving it so far. I cannot remember her name, but the lady who assisted us was very helpful and patient with us, as we wanted to takw time to touch and sit on the different couches we were considering. She also took the time to look up a few items we liked at other locations. We did end up going with one they currently had, and again, we love the choice we made. Checkout was a breeze. She made sure she explained everything thoroughly regarding pick up, payments, insurance, etc.The only drawback/thing I would critique is that they arent offering delivery anymore right now, so we had to figure out a way to pick it up and carry it to the 3rd floor. I do wish we had known that before we went in, but it really wasnt as big of a hassle as it seemed at first. We were able to get a Uhaul truck from up the road the next day to pick it up. We drove around back and the guys loaded everything in for us. We slowly managed the 3rd floor part too, LOL! All in all, great experience. The couch was inexpensive and fit our needs.

Overall its a good place to check out but I dont believe these guys are offering real sales or discounts on their product its a big store yet it feels empty something with the layout that doesnt make you feel comfortable to stay there for a while and check out everything the staff were okay I didnt have any problems with them

Pre bankruptcy Sears had variety and competitive prices. Post bankruptcy Sears lack variety and sells at inflated prices. The company’s Achilles heel was its failure to modernize. If I was at the head of Sears I would skip selling big time appliances for now and focus a lot more on selling what people buy the most, electronics. Sears today looks like a old school rundown warehouse that’s made up of mostly refrigerators, stoves, and washer/ dryer with little else at inflated prices.

Googles review system for some reason has a character limit, I have a very long review dissuading anyone from shopping for both this very store and the company as a whole, online at the very least. You can reach this review on this Taylor, MI store yelp page. Even while trying to be polite as they have MY money, I was still treated unfairly and disrespectfully by 4 out of 5 people employed by American Freight. I have not gone into the store myself, so I do no know the in person experience. In my mind, and with my time working with customers as a teen, I know I should be treated with the same respect and patience regardless, seeing as how i’m spending a pretty penny. If you order anything from either the Taylor Store or Livonia Store just go pick it up yourself. Don’t get it delivered because you’ll be waiting for a LONG time. You will be told it’s being delivered then canceled. You’ll go up to the store where they will tell you what you want to hear. And you will be at home waiting for a call that’s never going to happen. Your furniture will never come no matter how much money you paid or how close you are for delivery. I bought my stuff because it was on sale and waited over almost a month. Never ordering from them again. Sincerely, A person waiting for a refund......

Trying to find a Kitchenaid fridge in stock right now at a big box retailer is almost impossible. Found exactly what I was looking for here with one tiny dent in the upper right corner, which I covered with a magnet. My husband and I loaded it into our trailer and took it home. This was a brand new fridge, just someone didn’t want it because on delivery because it got a dent. All the drawers were still taped and the handles weren’t even on it yet. BRAND NEW for $1,300 off retail! Brenda was very helpful and yes I bought their warranty for $400. Well worth the piece of mind and what a great looking fridge!

Terrible customer service. I attempted to make an online purchase on 9/11/2020 for an electric dryer. The website would not allow me to complete the transaction. However, I noticed I was charged and the money had been taken out of my account. I called the store to confirm there was no purchase made. I then called my finance company and they said to have the store call them and confirm there was no purchase made. I called this store and a lady took a message for a manager to call me back. Three days went by and I never received a call back. So I called back again and the manager told me he was too busy and has other customers to deal with and would not call. He said the finance company can call the store if they wanted to. I requested him to call when he was less busy and he said yeah and hung up. Yesterday, I called the finance company to confirm the store called because the charges are still on my account. They said the store never called and that they (the finance company) had sent an email on 9/16 for the store to confirm there was no purchase made and all they are waiting on was for them to click the response and once this happens then my money will be refunded. I tried calling the store and it rang for a few minutes, no one ever picked up the phone. It has been almost two weeks and I am still being charged for a dryer that was never purchased. I ended up going to the Portage location and made an in person purchase for a dryer and my experience was so much better.

We came here to purchase a stove, and it took us about 2 weeks of several trips to find what we wanted. Iva was there every day to help us through our process, showing us new models that had come in, comparing prices for us, and finally assisting us with our purchase. We purchased a GE slide-in style range and saved $400+ over retail prices!! It had a little damage to the sides of the top panel which my husband was able to bend back- now there are a few surface scratches, but well worth the price savings. Thanks to Iva and staff!

My name is Sara Taylor. I went to American frieght today and purchased a sectional and matching chair. A lovely lady named Brenda helped me pick out the furniture I wanted. She had some minor issues with locating the number when checking out, but was very friendly and made the whole situation better. But there was another worker who did not. All the workers wore name tags so that you could identify them. But this one did not. I suspect its because she doesnt want anyone to make a complaint on her. But I listened to their conversations and heard another employee refer to her as Laurie. She was the worst person. Not only did she roll her eyes at the other workers, but came over and argued and said hateful things to the Brenda that was checking me out. She made claims that she was sent there because everyone didnt know how to do their job. Also while checking out, a few customers were starting to pile in line and she sat in the doorway staring and not helping anyone, she waited for the other employees to finish their duties and then sent them to them in a snappy tone. Then the customer checking out next to me, had issues with the machine working on her debit card. The Laurie lady came up and with an attitude, she said do you even remember your pin? Which the woman replied of course I know my pin. Then Laurie says we have some stupid people (customers) who actually dont know their pin, now implying that this customer was one of those stupid people. There was a male worker and I didnt see his name, but he apologized to the customer, and tried to fix the entire situation. Which not sure how much he could with the way his manager spoke to her. I applied for the financing and she said oh you got approved in shock. Like wow judging and acting like people are lower than her. I like the prices and furniture. The general employees seemed to care. But I will definitely go to another place if I have to deal with or see this woman when I come in. I feel extremely sorry for the workers who have to endure such a person throughout the entire day.
