Rt 37 Toms River store looks nice when you walk in but beware. There are so many items for sale that are far out of date particularly organic items. Visited Oct 2021 & found mustard dated best by Oct 2020. Not just 1 bottle. It was most of what was on sales shelf. Had to pick up at least 8 bottles before finding one that had an acceptable date--March 2022. Again it is Oct 2021 & I dont use mustard super quick so I purchase a bottle about every 4-5 months. Definitely not where I do my regular shopping. I think of it as an oversized convenience store.

Great selection of pre-made foods, fresh fruit and high quality beauty products that arent often found in supermarkets. Usually pretty quiet when I go and the food selection is a bit different in a goodnway from other places. Starbucks located inside. Very modern and just an overall positive shopping experience.

What the heck is going on in the cold/frozen foods section?! The cases are filthy, empty, and some ice cream has inch-thick ice on the outside. Why are there always pads on the floor soaking up water leaks? How do the managers think this is an appropriate and sanitary way to sell food?! I opened the door to get milk and was hit with an awful rancid smell and I was wearing a mask! The rest of the store is fine and the staff is always friendly.

This is a great location with a great variety of products being offered. The staff is super friendly as well. Lines can get long though, so be prepared to wait a long time.

I agree with the customers and I see the problems there. Patti and Ryan are the produce people in charge. Patti does not throw away molten fruit. Ryan and Patti flock the isles with oversized inventory carts which are in the way of the customers and a burden for them. I refused my manager’s command to row a broken nail cart into an isle of customers because it sounded dangerous. I was fired but I don’t regret it. Produce people are literally nuts.

This review is for the STARBUCKS inside the store. Every time I stop in for coffee Marta is there working hard. Today she was short handed, handling the morning rush alone but still making perfect drinks with a smile on her face. She deserves a raise!!

I enjoy shopping at this store, its always a pleasant experience, the cashiers and customer service are kind and helpful, even the shoppers seem to be polite, its never crowded, plenty of parking, I always find what Im looking for,keep up the good work stop and shop.

Large store, wide verity of products, good sales too. This store has a pnc bank, pharmacy, Starbucks coffee store inside of it. Very convenient. Large verity if pastries too. Store is always clean, and it is not nearly as busy as shop rite, so that is a plus actually, it’s not pleasant to shop in a really busy store. Lots of convenient parking, and self check out!

Employees are great and deserve a raise all around. No bike parking and had to use a no parking sign to secure my bike. Also too many annoying customers, but thats not stop and shops fault.... thats toms river....

A little expensive but not bad! Overall, was able to find everything that I needed.

Hmmmm.....a bit pricey. $4.99 for a 20# bag of ice and they all ripped apart and opened. The Calandras bread, I was super stoked about...it was not fresh and went stale by the next morning. Service was Meh.

Prices way too high-u need to cut it...😁 otherwise better selections on 🐈‍⬛ cat food/treats compared to Shoprite. It’s so much less hectic than Shoprite on 37

Best jelly donuts in the area better than Dunkin Donuts or ShopRite Donuts

The stop & shop on route 37 is a large store with a wide variety of products from a number of avengers. I really like that theres a wider variety of items to choose from then the same stop & shop on brick boulevard.

Just leaving here and the manager wouldnt honor the price. Tried arguing with us saying we should have read the price tag.. on the contrary, before stocking the shelf with product, take the tags off OR place the correct tags on the shelf PRIOR to stocking. He should have honored the price for the incompetence of his staff. He claimed that an employee was there working on the shelf, there was no one there. Horrible customer service arguing with the customer. Will not be returning.

Location’s in a decent spot, prices were a bit high however.

This store was big and bright, well stocked well staffed and a pleasure to shop in, My trip included both the deli counter and the courtesy counter and everyone I dealt with was friendly and knowledgeable making my trip a breeze. I will definitely be making this store one of my regular stops.

Came to this location to pickup chocolate milk & restock my house.Started and ended at the deli counter because the heavyset non caucasian counter help served me an attitude alongside my asking her to see the BoarsHead roast beef!

I really like this place. Its on my way home and they tend to have a very wide selection of produce and meats. They are lifesavers for being open on easter sunday.

I love this supermarket, every is clean and kept organized, they maintain the area very well, the employees are nice, good security system, everything else is always fresh, however there has been some problems with management but I think they are getting better, I do highly recommend this one for all your grocery needs...

Was there about 10 pm. Only had one self check out open and one cashier.

DO NOT WORK HERE. Management is terrible and irresponsible. Don’t care about workers or customers. Starbucks doesn’t get breaks, even after overtime. They can’t keep staff so every department is understaffed (for a reason). Extremely understaffed and not taking care of it. If you apply to, say deli, they will not hesitate to put you into a different department “temporarily” and keep you there quietly. All they care about is the money. Managers are tools. Apply to Target/Target Starbucks. 15 dollars an hour compared to the 11 you get part time at stop and shop. No money taken out for a union. DO NOT APPLY TO THIS PLACE.

I have always been a customer of Stop and Shop I find everything I am looking for and get great coupons and savings from the app.

Unless you want to only choose vacuum packed beef and mortgage your house to but it, dont bother to go there. Cashier treated me like I had leprosy even behind that useless screen and I still had on a mask but couldnt breathe. Two men stocking shelves had their masks on below their noses, but I have to suffocate to avoid being treated rudely. Not likely to return. No stars that is for sure

I love this store. Not only does it have the best prices, yet the staff and management care and make you feel like they are genuinely glad and thankful you are there shopping. It feels like family, and what other supermarket can you say that about these days? They have a great selection, very fresh produce, and tons of cost saving specials. This is my go-to store.

Customer blatantly not wearing a mask while shopping. The cashier I reported it to said they didnt deal with confrontation. No one at customer service to report it to.

Workers here are above and beyond polite and helpful. The place is also relatively clean with a decent selection of goods. A big drawback for me is their prices are extremely high in my opinion. But its convenient and on my way home so I will stop here from time to time to get stuff, just not to do my full shopping.

This will forever be my favorite grocery store. Staff is great. Product selection is good. Prepared foods are delicious. And always can get in and out of there with ease. Never have to wait on line or deal with crowds. Prices are good too.

Same as always, management does not enforce mask wearing! Every time I go there customers take their masks down to talk! Lady at deli took her mask down with every new item she was ordering. Last time customer was on cell with mask below her chin in an aisle! Covid needs to be enforced in this store!

I love shopping here! Its always bright and clean. Well organized. Best bakery. Great deli section. Helpful employees. I use my discount card all the time. Just take the time to load coupons to card and see your savings grow.

Always have a great trip here.. hugh selection of products! The cosmetic isle had nice displays set up. Every isle and every part of the store is neat, tidy & organized well. Being that my fiance and I are new to this store & the town itself, we love both better than our home town has to offer. Definitely our go-to store since moving here about 3 months ago.

They close at 11pm, I went there at 10:53 for one item. An employee told me it was closed, and I said I have 7 minutes and I just need one thing, she said, according to our clocks we are closed. So I left. Apparently they are in a different time Zone.

Shop here because their meat and deli departments are vastly superior to anything Shop Rite offers. Their own brand items are also better; cookies, crackers, frozen items. Little more expensive but shop smart and youll be fine.

Hadnt been there in years! Much improved. Excellent product assortment. Very clean and well lit. Fresh produce looks great. A nice selection of organic products as well as a selection of unusual food products. Very nice supermarket. Personnel are friendly and quite helpful. Enough cashiers so there are no lines at checkout. Im sold!

Love the hand scanners and the self check out! My kid loves to scan the products and can then answer questions like....how much did we spend so far? How much was that? Did the sale price come up? Best tool to teach kids shopping!!!

They should be embarassed the way they couldnt keep the store stocked. Shop rite by far did a much better job and thats where i go now. Pitiful. Even today some of their shelves are still bare.

Normally fantastic but now with COVID,. The phone app didnt work because you couldnt connect to their WiFi, no cleaning cloths for the shipping cart they were out, no hand sanitizer. Fairly empty but those people in store shopping didnt seem to understand or care about 6 free but this is likely a product of Ocean County.

Always clean and more importantly - this place is never insanely crowded.

Produce always seems rotten or on its way to being rotten. Always find that sale items are out of date. Prices are much higher than Shop Rite but less busy. Not sure how anyone can say they have great produce or meats??? I always find rotten fruit, tons of fruit flies by the fruit. I buy the cuts of meat that are supposed to be the good cuts but they are not! The male cashier with black hair in his 20s is extremely rude. Never says hello never says have a nice day never even tells you how much your order came to! Always have to ask! He is mostly at the self serve registers lately, probably too many customers complaining about him! I dread my weekly visit to this store. Wish there was an alternative to Stop and Shop besides Shop Rite😕 I miss Food town and Pathmark. They had great sales and fresh produce and meats!

It is SUPER HARD to find anything in this store....there are a zillion products. The produce section is great, but best of luck with finding frozen veg in stock....i would rather hit Shop Rite.

The best supermarket in Toms River without a doubt! Prices are lower than ShopRite and the quality of produce and baked items is head and heels above any other grocery store. The aisles are nice and wide and there are no obnoxious displays to bump into. The employees are always polite and helpful. Definitely where I do my shopping

People often tell me that ShopRite is the cheaper option when it comes to Toms Rivers grocery stores and although theyre definitely right. Stop & Shop is A LOT more convenient, cleaner, and quieter. Id rather pay a small bit extra for a pleasant experience than deal with the zoos that are ShopRite.

Sorry, but in the last year I notice that the shelf stocking seems to be done during the day. Very annoying when several people are trying to shop in the same isle and a cart full of supplies are blocking the isle. Also a little courtesy would be nice from the employees when they are pushing their supplies thru the store, they go thru so fast and never say excuse me or anything..its up to the customers to get out of their way or get run over. Ive been shopping here for over 17 yrs and do like the quality of produce and meat. But this is getting very annoying and enough to make me consider shopping elsewhere.

My only complaint is with the robot that scoots around the store. Annoying especially when the store is busy, like today. Other then that I like this store. Fresh produce, and well stocked shelves!

Everyone there makes you feel like family. I love the free fruit for the kids under 10 which my two look forward to each time we walk in the door. They have a Starbucks which I can use my app at (the dont redeem the star rewards but you can earn them)
