Dillons is more expensive than say Walmart, but if you want the best produce, meat and takeout food, it beats Walmart hands down. They do run good sales periodically, have nice fresh flowers, a large salad bar, Chinese food and the usual chicken mashed potatoes, etc. They also have quite a selection of bakery items. They now charge a fee when you ask for cash back on your debit purchase, which I think is bull. I would recommend them but remember that they are higher priced.

It’s the hardest place I have ever seen to buy Mountain Dew without hidden limits!!! I have started buying it at Hy Vee cause they don’t do that!!

I was in Topeka and needed lunch.I went in the store and searched for a place to eat, passing several employees while wandering around the store, none of which asked me if i needed help. upon finding the deli i stood at the counter for a few minutes watching 2 employees behind the counter wrapping stuff. No other customers were in the area. Eventually another customer walked up and the guy behind the counter waited on him? The customer asked for a chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans. The employee looked up in disgust and said, wow you need to slow down i only got the first part.I walked away.I cant imagine the two people in the deli are representative of Dillons as a whole but i wont be back. Very disappointed first time customer.

Download the app and load to the card any coupons for things you may purchase to get the best deals. Pay attention to the 5x deals, especially on Friday and Saturday as those are the best. Use the app to track your fuel points, Im always able to get a dollar a gallon off. Be aware that Dillons now charges a substantial fee for cash back, while competitors like Walmart do not.

I like Dillons. They are constantly working to improve fresh food selection including organic choices and they stay competitive by offering pick up or delivery options. Customer service is rarely poor. I have a good experience 9 times out of 10. Good employee culture.

I would be lost without my North Dillons. They carry everything including specialty items. The store is good sized and very clean. Most of all, the staff is helpful and courteous. They have a great deli, bakery and floral department. I can go any time of day and get gas too

Tried stopping here a few times. Actually finding what I came in for seems more like blind luck than anything else. Seems like each Dillons is arranged differently from each other. If theyre all owned by the same company, why in heavens name cant they be set up in the same way? Or is trying to confuse the customer part of their game, to lure us into spending more money on spontaneous purchases?The only good thing I have to say about this particular store is that it has plenty of self checkout machines.

I love their fries and crispy tenders and there Chinese isnt bad at the deli. The actual store part is also really good. They seem to always run out of chicken and fries just as we get there. It always makes me mad because this is our 2nd time trying to get food in a row, but it has happened a lot with the fries.

I went in for 2 items for my sick child. I thought a price was ringing up incorrectly and the lady walked over to check and I was wrong. Normally thats a little annoying, but she was really nice and even tried to help my daughter put her shoe back on (shes 1). The store is always fully stocked, clean and definitely have friendly, helpful employees.

Exactly what you expect in a large grocery store. Generally clean, friendly, and well stocked with quality extras such as a deli and bakery. You can be confident the customer will politely be mined for any interesting data they willingly or unknowingly provide, but again, that is fairly typical.The massive store, tens of thousands of products, and large staff are nice when you need them. My last visit customer service went above-and-beyond to address a concern with a confusing promotion, though I have to say I would prefer lower prices overall rather than having to deal with a confusing promotion to start with.

Not my usual Dillons location, but it was on my path and I needed to stop for a couple of items. This store is very well organized, and I had an easy time finding what I was looking for. Public restroom is clean. I even found two items my usual Dillons doesnt carry that I had planned to buy elsewhere.

Dillons North has a lot of items to choose from, produce almost always is great, the meat is also good quality, prices are generally competitive. I like that when I walk in it does not smell like fish, unlike some grocers. The place is well maintained.

Immaculate store. I come here to escape the Walmart experience. Even if it means paying a little bit more...for sure my favorite Dillon’s store out of all of the local ones. Lawrence or Topeka.

Awful service at checkout. Only one register open at 6:00 pm... busy time. Go to any other Dillon’s in Topeka.

I could not get tree self service to work correctly. It kept saying to add things to tree bagging area and then that I put something not scanned there. The man at the ready and hot counter was very rude while helping me. His co-worker helping the other person was lucky because he was friendly and courteous. It was frustrating. The quality of the food I purchased was adequate though.

I was in the north topeka store at Hwy 24 and Rochester today and had the salad bar. When I went to the dining area it was filthy, several dirty tables, food on the floor, 5 of the 10 napkin dispensers were empty and I witnessed several employees walk right past the area and none of them bothered to clean or tend to the area.The salad bar was fine and well stocked however the provided dressings were the absolute most bland and just blah Ive ever had and your provided plastic ware was completely worthless, it was like trying to use a limp noodle for a fork and I made more of a mess by trying to eat with it than I think I consumed.

Rearranged store this past spring. Almost impossible to find anything now. Dairy products are spread out. Aisles make no sense. Everything too spread out. Candy and seasonal items are in middle of store! Only things still in place are deli and butcher.

Got Chinese this evening. Was not nearly nearly as good as it used to be. Will not do it again. Lines were pretty long at checkout.

The place has drastically changed into a newer way of shopping. Didnt know Kansas was into the tech age. I like the idea of employees shopping for people for the simple fact that employees arent the biggest thieves, its the shoppers.

I love my Dillons North. My main complaint is that when they run an ad a lot of times they dont have the product in stock for the customer to purchase. We end up having to get a rain check, which I dont mind but it can be aggravating, especially if you planned on using it that night.Most all the employees are nice except for the odd few.Still I would rather shop there than at Walmart, less congested.

Best Dillons store in town. I will drive the extra time to go here. The employees are always friendly and will help you out. However the courtesy clerks could use some improvement in the sacking department. I always seem to get bags with just 1 item.

Not too busy but the last few times there had been no bagger. If I wanted to sack I would go through the self checkout. Manager standing by looking important

Did the pick up. They were awesome. First time I ever used that . It was quick and easy.

Worst Kroger owned store experience ever. Walk in and high pitch screeching overhead because they needed a back door open. Alarm stayed on the entire time I was shopping. Dillons used to be good about signage pointing to item location. Couldnt find half of the items I was looking for. The final straw was self-checkout only. I am paying the same price for my groceries and have to do do the check out/bagging myself. The system is slow and cant keep up with recognizing the item is already in the bagging area. Will have to rearrange my schedule and shop at Aldis or HyVee.

They claim that they have lower prices. If anything they are higher, than they were before the store remodel. The shelves are never stocked. I can never get the items I went in for. I almost never shop there anymore!

They are very fast at checkout. So fast that they ring me up before I have time to give them my coupons.

Dillons is like the Aldis of HyVee. Interesting place to shop. Decent selection and just about everything you want in a much cheaper store brand label.

Im not from Topeka, and visiting from out of town. I went in to get some things to make for my boyfriend for Valentines Day. As expected, the place was packed. I got what I came for, however, this place is difficult to navigate and their prices seem a tad high on basic things. Walked past several associates that didnt say a word or offer to help as I was wondering around trying to figure out where things were. A lot of the customers seemed to be in a hurry and were frankly rude. Not the stores fault, but Ill hesitate to shop here again if I can avoid it.

The store is clean, staff is friendly, and everything I wanted was in stock. However, at 9:30 on Sunday morning a number of electric carts were not charged. This store used to be careful about making sure the carts were charged overnight, but of late that has not been the case.

Just added several more self checkout lines, erasing more jobs. At night, there are ZERO checkers. I refuse to use them and find myself venturing out to Hy-Vee more and more. Its not that I cant, I just wont. Help protect employees! In another 10 years there will be even less, if any, real cashiers. Shame.

Overall a good grocery shopping experience. Sometimes frustrated by empty spots on the shelves. They may have it, but shelf will be empty.

Horrible. Stopped to mail a package. Unaware Dillons doesnt do this anymore. Staff at customer service, very very rude. Lady made me feel like i was bothering her. Normally a good store, but the friday and saturday specials are not loaded at midnight on friday and I was told that the cashier/frontend help cant override the prices anymore. Major inconvenience on my way home from work now!!!
