Chase was amazingly helpful and fun to spend time with! I dont do much in the way of makeup or skincare, so when I decided to treat myself a few weeks ago, I was incredibly overwhelmed by all the products and brands. Chase actually listened to me when it came to what I wanted and what my lifestyle is like. She helped me find products that fit my routine and make me feel great. Im not very experienced, so Chase gave me useful pointers and tips. Not only do we need more retail workers like Chase, we need more people in the world like Chase! Weeks later Im still happy with my purchase. I will come back due to the wide selection and helpful client service.
Hendrix, Ann-Marie, Michael and other associates were very helpful to my sister and I as we sought out products that would serve different purposes but had no idea which brands to look at. They were patient with us and walked us through multiple options and which ones worked best for certain skin types and activities and color matched us. We walked out happy with lots of information about a lot of good products
The ladies always treat me well when I enter the store. They dont pressure me either. They let me smell whatever fragrance I want, without the hassle. Always go back to do business with them!

I was charged twice for an expensive item in store and neither sephora.com nor the store would rectify the issue electronically although it was a credit transaction. I was even told i couldnt go to a closer sephora to get a refund for a mistake i did not make. As a Rouge insider I will no longer make purchases from sephora. I
Love this place its like explaining the sounds your car is making and they have it fixed in 5 thats what its like shopping here. I have a hard time explaining things or it comes out wrong and i feel understood shopping there.

All 20 of them ask you every 10 mins if you need help it’s really annoying like you can’t even shop and enjoy yourself without 6 people in 10 minutes ask if you need help. It makes me rush and leave just so they stop asking me which is annoying because I like to look in store to see everything they have and I can’t even do that peacefully I get irritated and just want to check out and leave. I love Sephora a lot but this one location I amGiving 1/5 stars because 5 associates walked passed me and didn’t ask me if I need help nothing but they asked customers next to me. It’s sad how they judge you like the other locations I never have problem with everyone is so friendly like the one at partridge creek. Like seriously don’t judge people by looks or the way they dress.

Noticed out of every sephora this one has the rudest female workers & nothing has changed. Called to ask if appointments could be made bc of covid and the lady responded with so much attitude, no help at all. told her thank you and she hung up in my face. Also asked a lady to match my fenty foundation and i told her i was a little bit tan rn bc i just came back from mexico (im hispanic so i tan very easily) looks me dead in the face and goes “um no you’re not.” Then matched me with a shade that was too light. So rude, so unprofessional. The staff in rochester hills and at partridge creek are so much nicer. Please fix your staff’s attitude

Davita helped me!! Her and all the staff were really nice. I am trying to do my make up for my wedding. I spent about an hour in the shop (or more). She gave me samples to try if other things didn’t work.

Great selection. The salespeople are hit or miss for me. Sometimes I talk to someone and they tell me where the item is and then if I dont need anything else they will leave me alone, but other times I get salespeople that just will not leave me alone.

The prices are a bit high. I had a make over and I felt pressure into buying a product I didnt like. I told the salesperson I didnt like the foundation and she assured me it would look different at home when I put it on myself. I didnt like the color, the store wouldnt let me return or exchange the item. So I was stuck with a $50 bottle of foundation that will never be used.
The women that work here were very helpful, they told me where to find everything I wanted and even recommended some products.

Will and George - absolutely amazing! The men in the Somerset location are customer oriented hands down! Personable, authentically interested in your needs. Great job guys! 5 stars for the guys but for some of the women in this store - they havent a clue on customer service. 3 women (women in their 40s+) standing around yaking it up with their co-workers and ignoring the dozens of customers they could be reaching. I found them to be condescending and this better than you aura. Some of the ladies there have forgotten that this is how they receive a paycheck. I am pretty sure Sephora isnt paying their employees to stand around chatting it up about their personal lives with their staff on company time. Surprised that the older women have this type of work ethic!

I went there to buy some makeup and an eye fifteen minute free mini makeover thingy. When I asked them for the mini makeover it toke them like ten minutes to get someone to do it for me. Then this person comes and says they can do it for me. I asked if I could remove my eye makeup and she said I can just work over it. (At that moment I knew this was going to end up bad) She then asked me if I wanted it to look like anything I have had done before. So I show her this picture of a subtle brown smokey eye with winged eyeliner. After she was done I was able to look in the mirror. IT WAS AWFUL. I had red eyeshadow in my eyebrows the eyeliner was all over the place (she didnt even do the winged eyeliner!) I looked like my eyes bled. It was just terrible, I didnt say anything about it (I didnt want to hurt her feelings) . I walked around the mall all day with awful red everywhere on my face. I was so embarrassed. I couldnt wash it off, and friends made fun of me.
There are so many employees that work here that are true gems. I was having the worst day so decided to go in and look around then I ended up almost not wanting to leave from how sweet three of the associates were I forgot their names wish I could remember to give them a shoutout for being such incredible sales associates

As a VIB member who has spent a lot of money on products throughout the years, I am appalled at the attitudes of the associates in this store!! I do the majority of my Sephora shopping online mainly for this reason...whenever I’ve walked into this store, it’s as if you’re inconveniencing the associates who work there. They don’t want to be bothered to help you!! I went in last week in search of a new concealer and they asked Ashley to help me. I could’ve done a better job myself, walking around the store picking something out blindly. She didn’t care, ended up caking a concealer under my eyes and didn’t even bother to blend it in!! She didn’t want to work with me to find something that worked for my skin and she lost out on a sale!! She then said I don’t know what to tell you and handed me a tissue to wipe it off!! I ended up walking over to Bare Minerals where the girl was very helpful, took her time with me and actually showed that she cared about her job. And they wonder why these stores and malls are shutting down!! Don’t bother shopping here, they don’t know their products and don’t care about the customer!!

The only good this is that I got color matched pretty good after waiting a long time for someone. They have horrible costumer Service, I was waiting in line and the girl said I can take you over her and she couldn’t even get her register turned on yet, like she didn’t know how to use it. I then went back in line because it looked like it was gonna take her a long time to figure it out and there was already another register open. Then she literally yells across the room I think to the manager, who was also really unhelpful at helping me pick out makeup, “she won’t let me check her out”. I didn’t have time for her to figure out how to use a register. This is also very unprofessional are frankly really rude.Also similar to what another person said I was clearly being followed around like I was gonna steal which I thought was just very tacky.

I went here twice. Both times the ladies checking me out couldnt find my membership in the system. They both acted like Im the crazy one. One of them created another account for me. Which turned into a hot mess. Im sticking to ordering online and going to the one in jcpennys.
I come to this location because the staff is friendly and by that I mean BRONWYN shes so awesome, helpful and not only that shes very caring and a good listener. Shes the only reason I go there because she listens to her clients and does the best job with my makeup. BRONWYN gives you beauty tips and shes very honest. Yeah this isnt my favorite location. I prefer the one in Jcpenney at oakland mall. However, sephora in somerset has more. Now, I am a person who will do research on products before I sample/buy them. Typically will sample beforehand if I am able to. So when I do come here, its usually for a specific item that the jcpenny store doesnt carry.I want to believe that the staff has some knowledge on skincare/makeup, however they dont know how my skin is. So when I go in for a product I did reseach on and want to sample to try out on MY skin, I dont appreciate it when i ask for a sample, the workers try to steer me away from what I want and try to get me to BUY (not sample) a different product. And ill say no i want this and usually when that happens, vibes change and suddenly i am rudely assisted.I feel as in helping assist customers, they should listen to you and what you want/like. Instead of being pushy and trying to get you to buy what they want you to buy. If that makes sense.But yes, some of the females here can be rude. And not to mention, they can never color match me right. I end up doing it myself. Not my favorite sephora store.

Went on a weekday and wasnt busy at all I needed some help but all I saw was bunch of girls standing around, no one offered me any help or asked if I was finding everything okay. I put half of my stuff back because the customer service sucked I had questions that went unanswered and I bought a few items that they dont have at my Jcpenny-sephora but other than that I wont be coming here anymore. Even when I was checking out the customer service sucked(some Asian woman)

I have been a VIB ROUGE customer for many years and a sephora customer for even more. I am a well educated woman and I have had hits and misses of customer service. Today just did it. I will never give my business to this place! So many rude staff!!! Rolling their eyes, scoffing, THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. Dont be in customer service if you dont like people. I spoke with the manager who is passive and did nothing, absolutely nothing! The DM better shapen up this store, because there are many complaints.
EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF!! I will NEVER go here again! I am disabled, visually impaired and in a wheelchair, and the staff was so rude about it!! First of all coming through this store with a wheelchair is a joke! The aisles are so narrow and items too high. When you go to check out the line goes through the normal area where the trial and small sized items are but its not just a straight line. You go in and turn to the left then the right and getting a wheelchair in there is not a good idea I learned. When you come out of the line and get to a register you realized youre boxed in and cant move and are now blocking traffic. This is what happened. I get to the register and Im trying to resituate myself to get out of the way and the cashier raises her voice at me with an attitude telling me she has alot of other customers. I was getting complained at my these customers because they couldnt get through so I had to move. I tried to return an item I bought and she screwed her face up like I was giving her a dead animal and held the perfectly clean item with two fingers and dropped it on the counter. It was the wrong shade. There wasnt any reason for this show of hers. She refused to take the return because I didnt have a receipt, I lost it. Another sephora took it back the next day no problem. She made such a scene and as I was trying to maneuver to leave with the wheelchair it was so narrow I was having trouble. She actually YELLED at me that I needed to go faster because I was inconveniencing her and the other customers because I was in the way. I was mortified crying and profusely apologizing to everyone because I felt so bad but I was trying so hard. People wouldnt move and there was no room even if they wouldnt have been there. Ultimately another customer took pity on me and actually moved items and people out of the way. She set her stuff down and said she refuses to shop somewhere where people would treat a disabled person so horribly and after helping me out she left. I cut my trip short and went home. I traveled over an hour to get there and had a full day planned but my experience was so bad I just went home. I will never go there again.

The store was busy not surprisingly because it was a Friday evening. However, I can gladly say I had a five star experience at sephora today because of an amazing Sephora associate, Rafael. He was friendly, helpful, professional, knowledgeable and full of creative ideas. Sephora would benefit from his ideas. Ask for him you will feel welcome and comfortable. He takes his time giving advice and catering to your needs. He was selected to represent their branch team in NYC! He is that special and qualified. Despite the store being jam packed he made us feel like we were his top priority. The Somerset Sephora branch has my business loyalty because of Rafaels demeanor he truly is a gem. PSA Sephora sells designer fragrances and theyre organized by alphabet.
Even though I only had to spend less than 200 to keep my vib membership, I didnt. Although it wont make a difference to sephora, I would like to say you have lost a customer.The reason for this is the horrible customer service I got at sephora retail store at somerset collection mall in Troy, Michigan.Being a vib rouge member I went in looking for a mini eyebrow makeover. This was on a weekday and at 8.30pm- sephora closes at 9pm. All the staff were vacant and the one make up artist they had was cleaning her brushes.I enter red and requested for eyebrow makeover- mind you this was my first makeover request since I received my vib. I hadnt used his service before at all.The female in skincare said let me go get my manager, the manager walked towards me did not greet me but instead in a stern and annoyed voice said she cannot do that now as she only has one makeup artist and shes busy. I turned around to the the makeup artist who was still cleaning her brushes. I said she doesnt look busy to me, its just eyebrow makeover. The manager rudely replied nobody can help you now. I was so disappointed, I mentioned to her that I am a a vib rouge member and this is the service I can get. She unapologetically answered I only have one girl in makeup and she doesnt have time.The rude thing was not they couldnt do a makeover but how they talked to me. The manager was clearly annoyed, she never once in the whole conversation say sorry. Even after I walked she didnt say please come again, or give an option to schedule an appointment.After this horrible experience I left a review at the stores google page but didnt get a reply, and I think it was deleted.Anyways Sephora, you have lost a customer who spent a lot of $$$ at your store. I was a loyal Sephora customer but after this horrible experience I am not going to shop here.
