The pharmacy staff is odd. Made an appointment for my covid shot many days in advance, so not sure why the tech with the gauged ears rolled his eyes when I was checking in. Huffed and puffed his way back behind the window. Then overheard him talking on his cell phone for 10 minutes complaining about how busy it has been. Yeah buddy, you and literally everywhere else.
I live in Albany, but was scheduled for my second COVID-19 vaccination at this Walgreens location. The easiest and best way to describe my experience at this Walgreens is to say that if I lived near this Troy location, this Walgreens would definitely be my pharmacy of choice. I was met with sincere and excellent customer service from everyone I interacted with. This store is well-managed and staffed with knowledgeable and courteous staff.
This is a good store, the staff are friendly and productive and it shows. Id give it five stars if they improve their inventory. For example they were out of stamps for a few months.
Pharmacy techs/cashiers dont pay attention to who is in line and have been waiting forever. Keep on taking those drive thru customers even though I know they pulled up after I was standing at the register. Really annoying. Take notice of your customers! Also their prices are absolutely ridiculous. I paid $5. more for the same exact box of claritin than I paid at Walmart. Thats a huge difference.
Make sure you check the price of the product on Walgreens app or website. Store price significantly higher then online price. Show the online price to cashier and they will reduce the price for you. One thing I dont understand is why they keep higher price in the store compare to online?
The hours of pharmacy are ridiculous. They are never consistent and its near impossible to pick up a prescription. Example: today at 150pm pharmacy is all locked up. Online hours show they are open. This is many times.
Im completely baffled at the pharmaceutical staff. Their crassness and lack of empathy was an eye opening experience and speaks volumes to problems with our for-profit Healthcare system as a whole. I had my doctor phone in a prescription and spent a good hour waiting only to be told that they couldnt fill my script. Apparently they arent getting a commonly prescribed medication until mid-november? It wouldve been nice if they couldve let me know sooner, so that I could call my provider before they closed at 4pm. Instead they directed me to call around to other pharmacies myself and see if they had what I needed. Dont waste your time with this place, folks. The medication Im prescribed can kill you from withdrawal. I pretty much got a sorry buh bye good luck. I understand that this can be a demanding profession but the lack of empathy is appalling.
They always have treated me good since Ive been with them, they understand some of my situations, they will explain new meds if need be,great group of pharmacy people🌹
BEST YET. I don’t know for how long Walgreens on this location been there but I do shop from them for a good 8-9 years and literally each time I go there everybody happy and smiling so I am like am I in the wrong part of the area or Walgreens take a good care of their employees. And yesterday just before they close I had a quick stop and guess what different people but the same good customer service. Thank you Walgreens for a showing people that there is a nice place to shop in the area.
Ive used Walgreens since I lived in the Midwest, and continued when I moved back to NY. Comparing the Troy Walgreens to 5 others that Ive used over the past 30 years (in-state & out-of-state) reminds me that a well-trained, concerned staff makes all the difference. For example, one of the pharmacists in Troy went out of his way to make sure that they could access a timely, adequate supply of one of my medications that seemed to have distribution problems at one point. The store is clean, organized, and the employees are generally courteous and helpful, to the point of asking if I need help locating a product sometimes. This is not the closest pharmacy or shortest trip for me, but knowing that they have my back on medications is worth the extra effort.
Good as a corner store and pharmacy as well.
I bet you could survive alone for years in an abandoned Walgreens. But what kind of life would it be?
Not enough monkeys
Great customer service in store and pharmacy
