You can all kinds of musical instruments here. I have no idea how to play musical instruments and have no talent whatsoever but the guy is pretty nice to explain the pros and cons of buying an instrument like the violin versus renting it. For a small kid it may be best to rent mi they as they might outgrow the instrument. I can’t believe a small violin is like about a foot and a half long is more than $500-$700 if we were to buy it. Maybe rent it...

I must admit my son is passionate about music so we spend alot of time in IMC locations & supporting them. However, one of our last visits to this location I purchased a beautiful guitar for myself. I have played other instruments, but always wanted to play guitar. They were super helpful and low pressure to purchase as my son and I discussed all the possibilities and tried out many options in the guitar room. Just received a hand written hope youre enjoying your new guitar card. Great follow-up and kudos to a music store that I know also supports music in the schools from Kindergarten through college. Id recommend IMC 100% for a music purchase. Knowledgeable and excited about music staff. Perfect!

Im an elementary band and orchestra director and this is my favorite store. They are definitely the best when it comes to repairs. All of their employees are actually musicians that know what they are talking about. If there is something they dont know they dont just guess but they know which employee to ask that has that expertise.

My son is getting ready to begin orchestra this fall. We took in our family violin to be serviced. Employees were knowledgeable, friendly- our bow needed replacement. We found a wealth of information on future musical endeavors! Overall it was a positive, productive experience. We will be patrons. Our new go to local spot.

These guys pulled out the stops to help us. We were visiting from out of town. They let my daughter try a couple of reeds on a clarinet before buying. Gave us the reeds she tried out. Theyre inventory is a bit pricier than Music and Arts. I think they are a good place to go when your student is ready to move to a higher quality instrument. Staff was friendly. They will ship anywhere too!

I have never been to a store with better customer service. Ever.We went looking to find an instrument so that we could start lessons for my son. The woman who was there was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and that was the beginning of our love for this store. She brought out several instruments that my son was considering, helped him make sounds, and he ended up falling in love with the saxophone. We have her knowledge and patience to thank for that. Had she not given us the time and patience to try new thing, we may not have discovered how much he enjoyed it, and may not have picked up music at all.Since then we have been in there several times. I have a cello now too thanks to their help. My son loves going in there just to try new instruments. Everyone is so amazing, and they’re all so kind and patient with him, and that means a lot to me. And I used the word ‘kind,’ and not ‘nice’ very intentionally... anyone can be nice when they’re selling you on something, but not everyone will be kind and walk you through a process, teach you, and be helpful like the employees at IMC will. One guy called me to tell me that he had a sax strap that he thought wouldwork well for my kid, not because he wanted to sell me, but because he took note of our issue and thought they had a better solution. So impressive.I could ramble on about this place, but I won’t. My point is, is that if you’re looking for good customer service, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for an exceptional experience with knowledgeable employees with passion for their job and a love for all things music, AND *amazing* customer service, then go to IMC.Give all of the employees raises! They’re awesome!

Everyone at this store is very helpful. I went in for valve oil and they didnt carry it. They ordered it for me and called me when it was in. They also are going to carry it in the store from now on.

We rented a violin for my daughters lessons, but after the teacher moved we returned it. Then my daughter started orchestra at her new school, and we needed a new violin in a larger full size, so we thought we would buy one. The one she wanted was just too expensive, and she didnt want to take one we could afford. We decided to see if we could rent again. Once we mentioned we had been renting before, the sales guy mentioned that we have all that credit from the rental. It made the expensive violin less expensive than what we would have paid for the inferior instrument. If their selection and princess were better and the process not so convoluted, they would get 5 stars.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but I’ve only ever been here twice and both times my experience has not been good.In both instances I needed a specific piece of equipment. And in both cases I called ahead, described in detail what I needed, and in both cases the rep on the phone assured me they had “exactly what I was looking for.”Yet in both cases after driving across town, I quickly discovered that they item they were trying to sell me was not even close to what I needed and described over the phone.I don’t know if it’s a lack of product knowledge or a desire to get you in the store, but I’d much rather hear “sorry we don’t stock that but we can order it” than them tell me they have it when they don’t.Employees are all super nice. Hope they can improve on this one area.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Good selection on ukeleles. They sell and repair most all instruments--strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion--though most repairs go through the speedway location. Some selection of guitars, drum sets, and keyboards, but probably not the place to go to get your vintage Martin, Taylor, Fender, or Les Paul. Great for school band and orchestra instruments and supplies, as well as music related gifts.

Theyre very friendly and knowledgeable about the instraments and the store. I would definitely recommend going here especially if youre a beginner, or parent of a beginner, for any help that you need.

Best music store in Tucson, family owned. Nice financing for instruments, great for students looking to rent to own or adult looking to buy their own high quality instruments.

I love this place staff is helpful and honest about what they play and know. Ive bought my bass and uke from them and also bought a classical and didnt get in to it they returned with no hassle. The place is awesome.

Class discrimination. I walked in to buy a new battery for my tuner, and also wanted to check out the instruments they had available. I pick up a moderately priced (just under $60) tenor ukulele. I have enough money in my pocket to buy two of them, and have half a mind to make the impulse buy, but before I can even check it out, the guy working there commented on my clothes and said he couldnt have me in the store any longer than buying the battery. I did not buy the battery, and I do not recommend giving this location any business. If the guy was so judging of a customer he felt the need to comment, hes judging you, too. There are better, friendlier music stores in Tucson.

Walked up to the door at exactly 4:59 the open sign was on tried to open the door and it was locked. I looked at the time again and it was now 5 oclock. When i looked back up the on sign was off! Poor customer service! Will never come back or recommend this place to anyone!

I only have the highest prise for this music shop. The staff are first class. As recent visitor from abroad, they spent time advising me on both on an electronic drum kit and an amp. When the amp had a warranty issue, I have to add whilst in Hong Kong, they worked with the manufacturer and are now sending me a replacement battery for the amp in HK.I cannot over-emphasise how grateful I am. Really professional and kind support. Cant really ask for more. Thank you.

My first vist was at the Speedway location about 5 years a go. It is located in the same strip mall as my doctors office.The staff have provided excellent service time after time.During the beginning and end of the school year they are VERY BUSY. Be aware of this when you visit the stores.We live close to the Wetmore store. They rotate staff between both locations a great idea. The staff does get to know their clients well this way.Along with sales, lessons are provided at the Speedway store. Msjor Instrument repairs and services are done at this location also.I have purchased many items from them.I.E. from keyboards, string, and windinstruments.They sell Native American Flutes made by Odell Borgs High Spirits Flutes located in Patagonia, Az The best price and excellent quality known throughout the World.I would give a rating of 11 on a 1 to 10 scale.Ms. L.
