This guitar center is maybe my favorite business in Tucson. I’ve been coming here for 12 years on and off, and turned music from an interest to a hobby to a profession. I can’t count the number of times I went into this store with no money at 16 and they let me play for hours on end. I’ve known them for years for fighting for the best deals on items, and always are very knowledgeable and friendly if you’re patient with them.Michael, a manager who used to work in store, was especially informative and helped guide me to the knowledge I was seeking. He’d cut me insane deals because he wanted to inspire me, and it worked.Okay so fast forward to my most recent transaction. I went into my store looking to get DJ gear I’ve wanted for years. I knew exactly what I wanted, but hadn’t shopped in years and was worried about what it might be like without Michael in store.Gilbert was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and fun to chat with. He helped me get the turntables and mixer I wanted, helped me to circumvent my cards daily limit, and got me a killer price I’ve been telling everyone about.Also, shout out to another employee named cage for ringing up like 4 people while we got the big order taken care of.Well, I got everything in today, and good god is this exactly what I wanted. I’ll be able to play a gig tomorrow night because of the laser fast shipping.I seriously can’t say enough about this store. Give them all your moneys.

Great store! Inventory is usually really good so you have lots of options for acoustic and electric guitars. Staff is very friendly and professional. Shout out to Roman, thanks for your help and knowledge in helping me find the right hollow body guitar.

They had only junk in stocks and the only thing they did have was a guitar stand that was in a beaten up box and looked like a return. They swore it wasnt, be we took it out of the taped up, thrashed, box and it was definitely used. Even one of the legs had the paint chipping away and the felt was definitely worn. They swore it wasnt used, but it was so obvious that it was. I wont be going back there again.

Simply the best on customer service & prices

I hate that I cant always just pick up something from their used inventory. There is a waiting period for it to truly become available and not go back to the original owner yet they still advertise it. I dont have to wait for the pedal to be available, I want it now. Its 2 feet in front of me with a price tag. I feel like a lot of the staff are not knowledgeable with the exception of a few.

I had my pickups and a full setup/intonation done on my Fender Telecaster.The repair tech, Chuck, did an outstanding job, and he had it done the same day I dropped it off. Real quality work, and a good price. Ive bought a lot of my equipment I presently use from this particular location, and they have always been professional and extremely courteous.

Since their bankruptcy GC has scaled back the selection of stuff they offer. As a bassist there is very little interesting inventory. This is not my first choice for related music needs

STORE.NO PROBLEMS THERE.MY COMPLAINT IS THE ABSOLUTE SHODDINESS IN THE WAY MY BEAUTIFUL EPIPHONE SG-E1 WAS PACKED.FIRST OFF THE BOX WAS WAY OVERSIZED AND THE GUITAR SLID FREELY ALL AROUND THE INSIDE OF THE BOX.SECONDLY UPON OPENING THE BOX ALL THERE WAS WEREONE SMALL PIECE OF BUBBLE WRAP LOOSE AND SEVERAL WADDED PIECES OF BROWN PAPER ALSO PUT IN LOOSENOTHING ACTUALLY WRAPPED AROUND THE INSTRUMENT TO PROTECT IT AT ALL.JUST LUCKY IT WASNT DAMAGED.NO REGARD FOR SOMEONES PROPERTY.THATS THE ONLY BUSINESS THEY WILL EVER SEE FROM ME.

Went in with a friend. He was looking to buy a snare drum and a symbol. He found what he was looking for. He said Guitar Center was the place to go. The have great prices. I found that the employees were willing to help right away. And if they couldnt help they paged someone who could.

I came in to get my guitar restrung, hadnt used it in a long time. Justin helped me right away, absolutely knows his job and was patient enough to answer all my questions. He even did some cleaning/oiling, then checked it all out to make sure it was perfect! Couldnt ask for more, will definitely be back!

All the fellas there were very helpful, I was able to get what I needed, parts for my acoustic and strings. I was kindly greeted upon entering by a guy named Chuck who was working on a guitar, getting it set up and what not and I took a sec to engage in conversation with him and found him to be a very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable person. So much so that I will be trusting my love, my one and only electric to his care here soon for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and possibly 4th frets are severely worn and most likely need replaced and the intonation is whacked! Its so far off Im gonna have to relearn everything I know lol...aint much! I appreciate his enthusiasm and willingness to get my black baby back up to par. I also appreciate him understanding where Im at in my playing and understanding what it means to me even tho Ive never taken it seriously, its what keeps me sane. I aint trying to be a Rockstar or even play with others however, I will rock till the day my heart stops beating. See you soon Chuck 🤘

Went in on my lunch hr to admire the different guitars on display and purchased a good beginners book for playing guitar. This place brought good memories from a couple of years back when I first became interested in learning to play guitar. I really enjoyed listening to a customer jamming on a few solos while I shopped around.

I dislike this store with a passion. Everytime my husband goes into your store he finds something he has to have! and spends more and more money. Last time he found a beautiful guitar that he fell in love with and had no choice but to bring it home. Thanks for that! 😆

Excellent! I really appreciate the extra care theyre doing during these tough times. You do have to wear a mask in order to enter the premise. No exceptions! I really like that everyone was wearing masks and gloves. Theyre only allowing ten people at a time so please come at your earliest convenience. Not ever sure how this place is still open…. Store doesn’t have 1 thing the website has, even when it says “curbside” pickup 🥴🤣… Absolute joke. Place is called “Guitar center” and doesn’t carry Taylor or Gibson picks INSTORE… like what? Embarrassing!

Ive never had a bad experience here. The employees are always knowledgeable, helpful and kind. Ive bought both new and used gear here and never had a problem. I also really respect the guidelines they have in place for the pandemic

Wow...what an awful experience here not once but 2 days in a row! Our son spent almost an hour trying out all the acoustic guitars and at no time did anyone come in the area to assist us. Our son ended up purchasing a $700 guitar and the only interaction we had with anyone in that store for over an hour was when we went to the cash register. We got up-sold on the warranty plan (which was fine, we were planning on it anyway since he will be flying to/from school with it) but no mention of anything else...did you find everything, do you have a trade in, need a case or humidifier, nothing.We brought our old guitar in the next morning to sell it back AND to buy a new case (since the new one didn’t fit in the old case) and got the complete runaround. There were shifty looks going on between the sales guy and repair guy and computer screen while they decided how much to give us for the old guitar. Then there were multiple trips that the sales guy made to the managers office. It truly felt like we were at a sleazy car dealership.We also asked numerous times about other possible options for buying a new acoustic guitar case and electric guitar case (as they only had one on the floor) and kept getting told by the sales guy that he would go look it up. He would then point blank ignore us and start helping other people. He did this twice! We couldn’t believe it, it was just so blatant! We finally realized we were not going to get any service, even though they knew we had just spent $700 with them the night before, so we walked out and bought our case elsewhere AND sold our guitar elsewhere for A LOT more than what they had offered us. What a complete disgrace of a store.And by the way, there is a 10% discount on whatever you buy if you trade in your old equipment at the time of purchase. We never got told this. Both at the time we bought the new guitar and the time we were trying to sell the old one.Take your business elsewhere if you dont want to get ripped off here. Go across town to the store on River Road. They are super friendly and helpful.

I love music. This place has a great selection of musical instruments. Everytime I have been here the staff has been friendly and helpful. I have bought quite a few things from Guitar Center over the years and have had no problems with the items I have bought. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for anything musical. I was treated horribly by a know-it-all guitar tech who was not only disrespectful but hugely inappropriate. Its difficult to understand how a person like that gets paid to perform sub-standard work and treat customers as a bother to them.

Best place to find cheap instur mental devices of all shapes and sizes. They even have a didgeridoo!! I buy all my harmonics there and drool over the guitars but i like the electronic recording equipment with lights and sound boards. You should check out the guitar center near you!!! My heaven on earth.

I bought a fender acustica, a washburn acustica (its my fav) loved my Sales passociate (eyve) . I spend a lot of money there, so I can spend a lot of time playing my feelings... Love this place

I came in here seeking to get back into guitar playing after 9 years of absence. I will say every interaction I had with the staff was awesome, they are extremely helpful and answered all of my questions! I walked out with the guitar I wanted, amp, headphones etc. This place is legit!!!

I went to this store just the other day to pick up a guitar. I want to start learning and I felt that a store specializing in guitars would be the best place to start looking. When I went into the store, the first thing I noticed was about 4 or 5 employees just walking around attempting to look busy but no one actually doing anything. I was not acknowledged at all, and simply was left to my own devices. I walked around the store, looking at guitars for almost half an hour, but still no service, despite making it plainly obvious I had no idea what I was doing. The prices were extremely high as well. I left after spending about 45 minutes in the store, with no service, and nearly being discouraged from learning the guitar. Thank god for Instrumental Music Center, where I actually bought my guitar and got good service.If you want to get a guitar, either go to a different location or go to one of the other music stores in town. This location is just straight bad.

Inattentive staff, lack of essential products, pro keyboard/synth section devoid of hardly anything useful.

The staff is still friendly and ready to assist when needed. The store isnt as crowded and as loud as in previous years but it doesnt take away from a wide inventory of musical instruments and accessories being offered.

Great deals on new and used gear. Always something new to see. Very friendly staff who make shopping a breeze. Questions are always answered. Shane is the best, he is very attentive to detail and gives very valuable information. Definitely a good place to buy instruments and get good deals (price matching on certain items).

Great music chain store for all things modern band (guitars, drums, keys, love audio). Employees are knowledgeable and eager to help, and they encourage you to try any equipment you like. I have always been satisfied with anything Ive bought here, from cables to strings to headphones to amplifiers.

Guitar Center usually has their guitars tuned and ready to play - not this Guitar Center. I picked up 6 guitars and only one of them was tuned. Come on Tucson Guitar Center, you can do better than that. On the positive side the staff was very helpful in answering questions and getting down guitars that were displayed up high. For a smaller store they had a good collection of guitars (thats all I looked at was guitars).

This is my first time going here. And I love it! So I havent played piano in so long and after a couple tries I got one of the songs I used to play done. And the microphones there were nice. I am a singer and I just bought a new one from there. Thanks guys!

The associates are pretty amiable people and somewhat helpful. If you are knowledgeable in what you need or want, its a fairly reasonable place to buy instruments and accouterments at a reasonable price.

Probably because I primarily only have the functionality of one of the two hands that I was gifted at Birth, I do not own a guitar and have no practical application for visiting a center dedicated one, or multiple for that matter...LMAO!

Guitar center is great ! I needed a new string for my Ukulele and they have given me a new string and even tuned my ukulele for free! I highly recommend to go here if you are a musician,you won’t regret it!
