I called in and spoke to the owner about an issue with my shotgun. I was expecting to drop the gun off and wait. I was surprised that Mario fixed my gun on the spot, he also cleaned the weapon and showed me how to take it apart and put it back together. Great customer service, friendly and knowledgeable. Just warning yall to stay away from a business called OLD PUEBLO GUNSMITH. Its a guy that works out of his garage. Hes a lie and a cheat and tore up my new pistol. This is the result of a sight install on what was a spotless slide. Let your people know. The gun was brand new.

Very organized, polite and ProfessionalTook my AR 15 to mario, S&W lower and A bcm14.5 upper with a pinned comp, had the muzzle replaced with a SOLGW knox, dropped it off on tuesday I believe and gave me a call today Thursday 2/18/21 said it was ready to pick up, gave me an estimate of how much it was going to be the day i dropped it off, total i paid was less than the price he initially said it would be, impressed on the speed and professionalism Mario shows with his work for a first time visit, highly recommend just let him know what you want done on your firearms before to get thing rolling, will definitely be going back for future gunsmithing purposes

Mario is by far the best gunsmith in Tucson. He worked on my 300 WM adding a new barrel and brake amongst other things. Posting this as a warning to make sure you ask his rates before you hand him your gun. Stopped by with a 22 pistol that was not firing. He picked the gun up and looked at it, went and loaded 3 rounds in it and went to the back to shoot. Of course it worked. Came back and said the safety must of been on and nothing is wrong. That will be $20.00.

I paid 40$ just for a back pin on my glock 26 being told it was the only issue even though I informed Mario it was the firing pin I was brushed off as unknowledgeable either due to age I can not say the next day I went to the range and it still did not fire even though I showed him after the fix that the slide was still getting stuck i basically paid 40$ for a back pin I just went along with these terrible explanations on why my firearm didn’t fire.

I have a 9mm that questioned my ability to shoot. Anything further then 10ft I couldnt hit the target. I gave the pistol to Old Pueblo gunsmiths and with in a few min they diagnosed the problem and adjusted the sites and bore sited the pistol. It was quick and painless and reasonably priced. I have an old Colt .38 wcf, Bisley model that I inherited. The internals were broke and the gun was not operational. I took it into Mario at Old Pueblo gunsmithing to get an estimate of repairs, if it could even be done.His dollar estimate was below my expectations, and he was confident it could be repaired.Mario is knowledgeable, friendly easy to talk with and a complete professional. He asked me to leave the gun, and give him some time to research it and repair it properly.Well with in the timeframe we had discussed Mario called to let me know the gun was repaired, and the repair bill was LESS than he had estimated!I am completely pleased with our transaction and will recommend his services to any one that asks.

I brought my Ak pistol(pap m92) in after I got my ATF form 1 back. He did the SBR conversion which involved drilling and tapping holes on the back of the receiver plate (this is something you have only one shot at and a mess up cannot be afforded) and engraving right there on the spot - same day service. He is a true machinist that is good with tools and measures perfectly. He is friendly and he prices his work fairly. He also entertains FFL transfers. I would def do business with him again.

I took my Ak47 7.62×39 to diamondback tactical too see if i can get my rifle fixed but instead of the original IO internals i wanted the bulgarian set up like recoil spring, bolt carrier and bolt head. Db tac said they couldnt fix it because they didnt want to make a mistake where the rifle can explode in my face according to them and they suggested to call io inc. to get the original parts i said i dident want the same old lousy internals that might mess up again they said we cant help you i said ok and took my rifle i said to myself how are these guys gunsmiths if they can even fix my rifle how i want it . i also called a couple other local gunsmiths and same results they couldent fix it. So i found this site searching the web all day and seen old pueblo gunsmiths. So i called talked to Mario he told me to bring it in to look at it so i did and right away he said its was an easy fix with a little head fitting. And 3 day later i picked up my rifle took it out to the range and it ran flawlessly with no problems hell yeah thanks alot Mario!!! I sure will get more work done on my guns and i will suggest other to go to old pueblo gunsmiths for quality work!!!
