I thought this location had redeemed itself from a previous experience, sadly it appears I was incorrect.I took my car in on 9/20 as my vehicle needed the air compressor replaced. I had informed the service department that the positive battery terminal was coming loose and needed to be tightened, and that the recall work on the steering column was faulty as the steering wheel would click every time I turned it, even just slightly. They informed me that they would take care of those items at no charge. The fix overall cost about $1k.I retrieved my car on the 23rd and was happy to get it back as I know these types of repairs can take a little longer than desired. With that said, here I am not even a month later. As I was getting into my vehicle to go on my lunch break, I turned the ignition and my car wouldn’t start. Having already been through this and having more than common knowledge about the mechanics of my vehicle, my first reaction was to check the positive terminal. Sure enough, I found it was loose. Thankfully I was able to get to and from lunch. Upon my departure from work, the vehicle again wouldn’t start, so I investigated further. I opened the small box encasing the positive terminal to find that the solution the technician had was to insert a metal screw between the lead piece that wraps around the connecting post on the battery. Is this how your mechanics fix things? Is this the standard you hold your service department to?

In these crazy times where nothing is available, Rick was able to find the Tucson Limited Hybrid that I wanted. When it came in, Rick already had the paperwork done and I went straight to finance. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes.This dealership does not add mark up to their vehicles so I was able to get a very good price.This is the 3rd car I have ordered from them and I would highly recommend this dealer.

Tustin Hyundai was the best car buying experience I have ever had! Our salesman Marcos Rodriguez was professional, informative, listened to us, and he was not pushy. We came to an agreement on a Tucson and to our amazement, the bill of sale was exactly what we agreed to. No add ons. No junk fees. We needed to buy a car and I was seriously dreading it. Which is why I was happily surprised that Tustin Hyundai --somehow!-- made the experience painless. Even in this years insane sellers market. It was pleasant even.Our first experience test driving a car with Marcos was actually fun and left me with a good impression. Then while deciding on a car in the days after, I wrote back and forth to Rick and he was patient and helpful. I have little patience for the typical sales games, but Rick earned my trust. And deservedly so as everything he told me proved to be true. I greatly appreciated his honesty and friendliness. Even the finance folks were great. I was happy they didnt force accessories nor attempt to confuse me while signing the contracts.The entire experience was low pressure--Id even say no pressure. They just wanted to help me --and all their customers Im sure-- buy a car and feel good about it. And I get the feeling they will continue to take care of us even after the purchase. I dont know how this experience could have been any better short of me starting my own dealership to sell myself a car. Great company philosophy with great people. I would definitely buy a car from them again.

Ive been a loyal customer since 2015. Service is efficient; my car is always ready before the time promised. I would also describe them as thorough. The service reps explain the repairs beforehand and take the time to answer any questions you have and also give timely updates on the status of the service. Two weeks ago or so I came into this dealership to get my car checked perhaps get the recalled taken care of. Ive had an okay experience with this dealership before when I had my Elantra. Came in for the LCD display, recall, and my engine would just shake randomly. I got home and parked my car. When I got back to drive somewhere, the car wouldnt start! I was like I thought fixed this. Turns out the negative lead of the battery had become loose. Well am not mechanic so I dont mess around under the hood. This careless mistake could caused an accident because my car just stopped while I was driving! It is a good thing that I wasnt driving in the freeway. This was a complete waste of time because I had to take a day off to take care of the problems theyve caused me. Had the car towed 20 miles! They tried to make up for by giving me a rental. Which is fine. The director promised me a full tank of gas and my car would be fine when I get it. I was hopeful that I do not have to come back to this god forsaken place! If I could give a zero stars I would. I do not know if they really take good care of the cars they service but my car is messed up now. It needs a paint job coz the stupid dealership ruined my hood. They just love to give me more problems! I almost had a breakdown out of frustration! Warning! Do not go here! I know I wont be coming back if they finally fix my car.

Really enjoyed my interactions with Greg and the team at Tustin Hyundai. With the car shortage finding a clean safe vehicle for a reasonable price is tough. Greg made it easy. He was willing to wheel and deals with dealers in the surrounding area and get me the car we were looking for without ridiculous markups. Once at the dealership the whole transaction took 20 minutes. I you dont want to play typical dealership games this is the spot for you. Make sure you ask for Greg Thrasher!

Ivan was amazing to deal with from start to finish. Got all of my paperwork started before arrival to the dealership and I was in and out with my new car in a little more than half an hour. On top of that, gave me a great deal on a new Hyundai Tucson hybrid without the markups the surrounding dealerships are placing on their new cars during this microchip shortage. Im surprised this location has above a 4 star. The customer service is 2/5, the prices are 1/5, the service quality is 2/5. I dropped my car off Friday morning at this location, and was told my vehicle would be ready either Sunday or Monday, and that Monday would be the latest. I dropped it off for an issue that was unable to be resolved and it was not ready for pickup by Monday. There was no communication on their end to let me know I would not have my car by the promised date. The cost of a basic service is much pricier than neighboring locations, and the services offered are minimal. If you would like your vehicle to be taken care of in a timely and effective manner, I would avoid this Tustin Hyundai. I only came here because I trusted the reviews, but I can now assure you they are not accurate.

It had been a long while since the last time my wife and I purchased a new car, so we didn’t really know what to expect. Wow is the word that comes to mind. It was so totally easy. We contacted the Tustin Hyundai dealership. They responded very quickly and followed through with a phone call. I spoke to Jason Galvan on the phone. This guy was so cool. We set up an appointment time and boom! When we arrived Jason greeted me and my family and was really cool and relaxed. There was no pressure whatsoever. Jason took his time explaining everything. I raised several issues in a review regarding my last visit to the Service Department. Management immediately responded and there was concerted follow up with me to resolve the issues. I feel I was listened to and my concerns were taken seriously. The issues I had have been resolved to my satisfaction.Lesson: if you are not satisfied as a customer - say something. They were a little backed up on completing my routine maintenance on my Sonata but did follow up with an explanation on why the service was slow that day( 3 hour oil change and recall fix) with an appointment. They were happy to offer me a future detail car wash as an apology for longer than expected service. This was not necessary as I totally understand they have some staffing issues during this post pandemic period but it goes to show me Tustin Hyundai really cares about customer satisfaction and retention.

I saw a Reddit post today about a local Hyundai dealership (not this one) and their dealer adds and was reminded of the experience I had with Shawn back in November 2020.My parents requested an online quote for a Kona from Tustin Hyundai but ended up trying to deal in person at another local dealership. Shawn followed up with them while they were about to close the deal at the other place. He wanted to give them some advice so they handed the phone to me--its hard to remember all the things he told me but the one I remember most was NO DEALER ADDS. That they add to the price and we are not required to take them, and to use that to negotiate. He was on the phone giving advice for 5-10 minutes and told me to call him back with the outcome. This was near closing, so 8-9ish pm. He knew he had probably lost the sale but felt the need to educate us about shady dealer practices. My parents were able to use his advice to negotiate a lower price and nearly bought the car, but eventually backed out.Shawns above and beyond customer service, integrity, and transparency speak volumes about the culture at Tustin Hyundai. It was so memorable that I was reminded of it over nine months later, and I searched my iMessages so I could find his name. Ill always remember his advice, and next time I buy a car it will be from Tustin Hyundai.

Very poor service. Had a 9:15 appointment for oil change and tire rotation 2 1/2 hours later still waiting. Shot the whole day. Nit friendly, tried to up sell services not needed for 10k miles. Said they checked the oil and change the oil and oil filter, said they adjusted tire pressure and filled all fluids. Power tire pressure was not touched because my tires are 35 lb and these 30 31 32 so they did not change it not impressed and wont ever go back

This review is regarding their service department. Overall their service website for making appointments is similar to the other dealers. Main issue is lower service quality such as not picking you up after oil change is done (this is $15 Uber cost to me; other dealer picked me up), saying oil change will be done in 2 hours but it actually took 45 mins (could have just waited at their room): agent cannot tell you if oil change includes brake inspection or not (other dealer includes inspection); and if there was a brake inspection it was likely incorrect as I cannot have 6mm of front brake pads since earlier inspection said I had 3mm left. Overall I would not trust this dealer to take care of your vehicle as others can. Lastly I can distinctly feel Hyundai is right and you are wrong feeling after my first and last visit to this place.

Dealer Greg Thrasher tried to sell me 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy and ran my credit application and credit card to hold the car which was already sold the other day. They dont even know they have a car or not. Now they said they will have a car next month. I cant trust any words from them anymore.

I made an online appointment for an ABS module inspection/replacement recall on my 2014 Santa Fe Sport. When I arrived for my 11:30 AM appointment on Wednesday, the service advisor I chose for my appointment (Bryan) was not available, so Martin took care of me. Martin was professional, truthful, and Ive known him for over 10 years. I asked how long I have to wait and he said at least two hours. I also asked if I could use a $25 service coupon mailed to me from Hyundai corporate for an oil change. Martin didnt recognize the coupon, said that coupon is not eligible for my car due to different VIN (probably previous Hyundai I owned), and warned an oil change would add at least 30 more minutes to my wait time. I couldnt wait over 2.5 hours and noticed Tustin Hyundai has raised the price on the oil change from $39 to $47 now, so I passed on the oil change. I asked if the technician can top off my cars fluids and Martin wrote it down my request on the repair order. After Martin finished writing me up, he said Bryan will call me when my car is ready. The 2.5 hour wait time for a recall appointment seemed long, but the service department seemed very busy with a long line of cars waiting for service on the lot and cars constantly coming in and out. When Martin finally drove me car off the parking lot to the back, I asked him how much longer is my wait and he said he was still waiting for his guy to come back from lunch. My car spent more time sitting on the service parking lot than actually getting the recall done. Fortunately, Costco was across the street so I went there to do some shopping while I waited. When I finished shopping, I called the service department for a status update, but both Martin and Bryan were not available, so Trina helped me check status and told me my car was ready for pickup. I think my car was washed. The windows had wipe streaks, but I could still see some yellow bird poop specks on the hood that didnt wash off. The whole recall service took two hours as promised. Restroom was clean and stocked. And, I saw some complimentary snacks and candies by the cashier. When I started my car to drive home, I noticed the clocks date and time was reset and the radios default display looked different than before, especially when I change radio stations. I guess part of the recall involved getting the software flashed.

I had been going to Tustin Hyundai for a few years to service my 2013 Sonata. I decided to purchase a 2021 Santa Fe and was even apprehensive to test drive one for the fear of having to deal with high-pressured sales people. Then I met Carlos... after completing the test drive, he gave me a quote - out-the-door, including a Costco discount, Hyundai incentives and a good trade-in price for the Sonata. No hard sell, I was in-and-out within a half hour. I was expecting text messages and voicemails within a day from him. He followed-up a few days later which I greatly appreciated. Over the weekend I decided to go forward and purchase the car - I did check thoroughly the price I was quoted and it was a good deal. The issue because the color - I wanted the Calypso Red... the only one they had in stock was sold within minutes of my phone call to purchase. Carlos called a little later and said they received a call from another dealership about a dealer trade who had a red Santa Fe. Turns out that one sold just after the call was made. A day later, Carlos located the car from a dealership in San Diego - they had it delivered up to Tustin. Carlos went beyond to make sure I received the car I wanted.... it even had a package included that I hadnt expected... at no extra charge. A friend purchased a Santa Fe from Tustin Hyundai the day before me and received the same low-key, non-pressured experience. Way to go!!! I also give kudos to John Patterson, dealer owner - he has a very efficient team - from sales, to service to finance..... it was nice meeting you. I highly recommend this dealership.

Brought my car in for its first oil change since purchasing last year. We were nearby, and really like the people in Tustin Hyundais service dept. Theyre really nice, and its not too busy (compared to LA dealers).We bought our car when we downgraded from a Volvo suv during the pandemic when things were uncertain. Ive been considering bumping up to a larger model with more legroom, and was going to see if the dealer had anything interesting while we were waiting for our car.Then, when driving in, a salesman with grey hair and white apple airdicks in his ear was driving a vehicle out the wrong way and was quite rude about us moving our car to accommodate him. Turned me off to dealing with them today entirely. I suppose its good to save money. Thank you.

My wife and I purchased an exceptionally well-kept, used 4Runner. The day I found it on the internet and called, Marcos Rodriguez from sales took my call and reported that the car was being readied for sale. Marcos was professional and politely said the car was being prepped for sale and that he would call me back as soon as it was ready. He kept his word and promptly sent me photos of the car a few days later on the morning it was ready for sale. We ended up driving about an hour to the dealership and purchased the car that same day after the used car manager, Gary Bagby, was willing to discount the price to help us meet our budget. The car had been detailed inside and out and the engine bay looked very clean. The interior smelled great and still does! The whole buying process went very smoothly. We left very happy. About 3 weeks later, we discovered that all four tire pressure sensors needed to be replaced. I was afraid that we were going to have to make the 1-hour drive to the dealership and then have to argue why not just one sensor needed replacement but all four. I called ahead and spoke with Martin Aguilar, the service manager, and explained what Pep Boys and Costco Tire had told me about all sensors needing replacement. Working with Gary, the used car manager, Martin allowed me to get the sensors replaced close to home, saving me the drive to the dealership and reimbursed me for the cost of replacing the sensors. They kept their promise of honoring the 30 day used car warranty without any hassle and they made it very convenient for me to get the repair done close to my home instead of using up what would have taken at least half a day had I been required to take the car back to the dealership. Thank you Tustin Hyundai and especially to managers Martin and Gary for your great service from day 1 to day 30!

I recently (4/29) purchased a vehicle for my mother. I had been working with salesman Greg to find her the perfect car for a while. I went to the dealership with my kids in tow to view a silver Tucson with leather interior I thought would be great for her. Once my mom was in town, I sent her to see the Tucson in person. I let Greg know my mom would be coming to see the car and he said he would have it ready for her. My mom viewed the car on 4/28 and let me know she liked it. I thanked Greg and he got me started on paperwork virtually so I wouldnt have a long waiting period there since I would have to come in again with my kids. Once there, everything seemed to run smoothly. We had a small waiting period before I paid (cash) for the car. I let Greg know I wouldnt be able to pick up the vehicle until Saturday 5/1 when I had someone able to drop me off, and he had ok-d that. Saturday morning comes and Im there to pick up the car. Greg brings the keys out and ITS NOT THE CAR WE AGREED ON. Its not the original car I had viewed!! It was the same model and same color, but a much more downgraded version. Greg knew he had bait and switched and went into defensive/cover up mode. He said my mother approved the car. He even had a solution to have me pay MORE for another car there. I called my mother immediately and she told me when she went to view the car it was as described on the outside- silver in color, but that Greg had said he didnt have the keys to view the inside!!!! By this point my stomach was turning thinking of what a scammer Greg is. He showed my mother the same color and style car but a downgraded version and tricked her by just allowing her to view the outside. I had been VERY SPECIFIC in my must have search for a car with Greg and he KNEW I would never have purchased this downgraded car. The manager had stepped in with his extremely condescending attitude of oh well this is your fault, taking practically zero accountability. The manager said he would trade out the car and have it ready the next day. I left the dealership at this point trusting the manager would remedy the situation. Greg then text me the car would be switched for another one they had. I looked up that car online and it had nearly 20k more miles. I called to speak with the manager about this as its not a good solution. He let me know this was a take it or leave it and there wasnt another option until the General Manager came in on Monday. So now Im out almost $20,000 since Thursday with no vehicle and feel beyond violated. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE and definitely DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GREG. This is textbook how women are not treated with respect and taken advantage of and how salesmen get their slimy reputations!!

We originally went to tuttle click hyundai in Irvine and had a bad experience with rude salesman. So we came to this hyundai Our sales guy was awesome Jason Galvan gave great customer service and very helpful and friendly didnt make us feel rushed or pushed into a sale did his best to give us a great deal and an awesome car better than what we expected. The only person I think needs to work on her customer service skills is the finance dept lady. But overall if you are looking for a great deal and selection and awesome customer service come here ask for Jason .

We had an excellent experience here. We found and bought the car we had been looking for without pressure or hidden prices. TJ was helpful and articulate, without being overbearing. Very important to us as we had been shopping all week and tired of last minute addons. The facility was also clean and comfortable. All the staff friendly.

Was quoted 3-3.5 hours for service and to repair 2 recalls. Returned after 2 hours and my car was still sitting on the drive exactly where it was when I left 2 hours prior. The attendant said the mechanic was on lunch and there were no bays available. Questioned the service attendant as to the remaining wait time and was quoted 1.5 hours more. Waited 1.5 hours and then inquired again and was told 30 more minutes. I only came to this location due to having a free service with my lease as I reside in Los Angeles. Wasting 4 hours for mediocre service is not what I like to do when I have plans for the remainder of my day. I will not be leasing from this dealer again solely on my experience from the service department.

Once again a far superior experience that their near competitor, Tuttle Click. Took my car to Tuttle Click and told on arrival it would be 5 days of having my car before they even looked at it. Contrary to being told on the phone it would be a 1-2 day turnaround for getting my car back repaired. Drove 10 minutes down the freeway to Tustin Hyundai and they were working on my car the same day, and for a cheaper labour rate. Got the problem solved and my car back quickly as has happened before when I make the extra drive to go there. Well worth the 10 minute drive for me.

Update: Added a star because Trina, the customer relations manager, reached out to me immediately to discuss the experience I had last week. She was apologetic, sincere, and understands the importance of great customer service.I had a decent experience at Tustin Hyundai. In the beginning, I do not think the sales representatives took me seriously (I do look a bit young for my actual age) about buying a car. I initially left because of it. When I returned solely because of the cars available, I honestly felt that I wasnt treated with respect until my credit check was completed. All I can say about that is for future sale opportunities, never judge a book by its cover. Also, during any business transaction, I expect the sales representative to be honest to the best of their ability. Unfortunately, it seemed like the team I dealt with was more concerned with making a sale as opposed to giving me honest quotes about how much my trade in car was worth. I understand trying to make a profit from a sale but what I was initially offered was beyond unreasonable, especially compared to other competitors. Im trying to be as honest as possible with this review and while my experience in total wasnt exactly pleasant, I do really enjoy the car that I purchased.

Just bought a Palisade from Tustin Hyundai and was lucky enough to work Shawn Brown from the Internet Department! He worked tirelessly to get me the exact color combo and deal I was looking for! The car is amazing and so happy that I didnt have to deal with multiple dealers! Shawn was able to get me the car we wanted, even with inventory being so low in Southern California! I love his no-nonsense attitude and made us feel really comfortable with the whole process. We were in and out the day we picked up within 20 min, but he spent more than 40 minutes walking my wife and I through the details of the car. The whole process went like a breeze. I had been searching for a while, and when this CPO Santa Fe showed up, I dropped an inquiry. I was contacted by Mr Shawn Brown within a couple of hours and an appointment was set up for the next day.Unlike other dealers who can be very intimidating with their presence, he just handed us the key and went away. Me and my wife test drove and took some time to reach the decision. I had realized during my search that the market is very cut throat and non-negotiable but my wife being herself still requested a discount, and viola we got one.The paperwork went very smoothly as they work with Schoolsfirst (our financer). We were pre approved and therefore we were done with the paperwork within an hour after we said YES.PS: One week after the purchase I noticed a minor cosmetic defect, I notified Mr Shawn who got me in touch with Ms Elsa in service who promptly arranged to fix the problem. I am now very impressed with their customer service in service area as well.
