I took my vehicle in for rear brakes. I knew it was that because they have been making noise for awhile. I spoke with Mr. Gary who was very professional and polite. He made my appointment and gave me a heads-up as to what was going to happen. I dropped my vehicle off at 7:30 in the morning, received my digital inspection report at 10:03. To my surprise not only did I need rear brakes but also rotors. I called and asked how long it would take as I had physical therapy at 4:30. I was assured that they would have my vehicle completed in time for me to make my appointment. Not only did they keep their word, my vehicle is running smoothly. I would like to thank Mr. Gary and Mr. Todd (the technician who worked on my vehicle)for taking great care of my vehicle and me. I will be back to do my front brakes. I highly recommend them.

I called Christian Brothers last Monday and described my issues. I took my truck in that day. I was advised that I had two bad coils and plugs. I authorized the repair. I was advised after the repair that I needed a Power Control Unit (PCU). I authorized this repair. I was told the PCU repair would be the next day. I called the next day and was advised the ordered PCU was damaged. I was advised last Thursday that I should get my truck back on Friday. It is now the following Tuesday and my truck is still in the shop. Yesterday I went by the shop around 1:00pm and was told my truck was next to go in the bay. I specifically asked if I needed to renew my rental car. He replied that I would have my truck back yesterday evening. I went back around 5:00pm, only to learn my truck was not fixed and the PCU was still in Houston. I checked back today. My PCU was not shipped from Houston and they don’t know if it will be in tomorrow. I could have driven to Houston myself to pick up the PCU for them. Now, I have been told that hopefully thePCU will be in tomorrow. I am so frustrated at this point. All I hear is we understand but we can’t do anything about it. Let’s see if they call or message me before they close today to get an update on my truck.

I’ve had some good experiences with Christian Brothers in the past but today was a complete and utter disappointment. We dropped off our car last night when they were closed because the battery was dying and we wanted it tested and to see if it was still under warranty. Bear in mind these are the only services we requested. My wife left all of her information with the key in their drop box because she wanted to be contacted because this is her car and to be entirely frank she knows a lot more about them than I do.Skip to today imagine my surprise when I am receiving texts filled with hundreds of dollars of recommended repairs that were not requested. We just wanted the battery tested and to see if it was still under warranty and they apparently decided to do a full blown inspection. The thing that really gets me is that they completely disregarded the contact information we provided them and just used whatever they apparently had on record. Not a huge issue in this particular instance but what if the car had changed ownership? What if I was a vengeful ex-husband and decided to authorize all these unwanted repairs and all this without them ever having actually spoke to us, just text messages. This is an egregious potential breach of privacy and something that could easily have been avoided if they had simply read the card we filled out. Why have us give you contact information if you’re just going to disregard it and contact whoever.After reviewing the quote of the only service we actually requested we compared it online and found Interstate could give us a better quality battery for $40 cheaper than Christian’s quote. We went to pick up my wife’s car fully prepared to pay a small service charge for the battery test since we weren’t going to use their services any further. They wanted to charge us $60 for the full inspection that we never asked for. As soon as they found out we weren’t going to be using their services they got rude and snippy with us and tried to argue why they were trying to charge us so much for something most places offer as a courtesy, a battery test. Like I said we were prepared to pay a small something since we weren’t getting a battery there but 60 is absurd even if they did inspect everything else. The key take away here is that if they had actually read our request and done as we asked they wouldn’t have had to waste their time doing unrequested services. A restaurant wouldn’t make you food you didn’t ask for and then expect you to pay for it. This is no different. If there was any question as to what we wanted done they could have simply called us but they didn’t. The first and only communication we received was the service report full of things we didn’t want.They did at least have the courtesy to waive the charges entirely, but I shouldn’t really even give them credit for this as the charges should never have existed in the first place. In the end we went to Interstate and got a new battery. It’s better quality, better warranty and cost $40 less than what Christian quoted. Interstate was super quick (15 minutes from the moment we walked in the door) and professional, and I would highly recommend them for your battery needs.

Paid $1700 for a repair and left with it making a weird noise and thats after going to them the first time and being charged $400 to charge it and telling us there are no leaks and a few days later finding out there is a leak and just being out $400

My car broke down Sunday, and being in Tyler it was the closest shop I knew that did good quality work. I received a detailed report of what was wrong with my car, how much the parts were & the total cost to fix my car. I brought it Sunday, and they had it done Tuesday. If I ever have future problems with my car, Christian Brothers WILL be the shop I take it to!

Well, as soon as I made the initial call for an estimate and spoke to an awesome guy named Harrison, I realized that they were one of the better prices AND could get the job done that day. My wife took the car while I was at work and said Harrison greeted her upon entering the shop and knew exactly who she was. She said he was super kind and professional. The job we needed done has taken past automotive shops 2 days to get our car back to us but we dropped our car off at 10:30 and I received a text that it was complete by 1:30. I thought it had to be a mistake so I called, and sure enough it was ready. It’s running perfectly and I couldn’t be happier with the cost and quality of the job. Went in for oil change, radiator check, bulb replacements and tire rotation; they got right on my car at scheduled time completed everything in a timely manner and gave me a surprising $5.00 discount. I am rather disappointed at the service received. I have used Christian Brothers for my car services for sometime. I called and got a quote for an oil and filter change on my college sons car. I was quoted $40 on the phone after giving them all the car details. I arrived for the scheduled appointment and they advised me that the oil change charge would be around $70+ dollars. I asked why such a large price change from the quote, he explained that the individual quoted me standard oil, and the $70+ was for full synthetic oil. I advised him that is what I requested the quote for was full synthetic as that is what is recommended by the car manufacture. They had no explanation except it will be $70 dollars. I may likely not return for any of my services.

Great attempt at customer service. Friendly. Front office does a great job of front image to public. However, mechanical expertise a problem. Ive tried them a few times now and had problems each time. Including on one trip they were supposed to check my tires and didnt at all. It cost me a day of travel, HUGE stress as I was in the middle of nowhere and hotel. They did provide a credit and do their best to make it right. Latest trip to their shop, they again did not provide tire gauge info until I asked even though their reports were updated specifically so they would have to show tire pressure after my disasterous trip. This visit they caught that 3 out of 4 of my tires were defective and I truly appreciate that. However, on the alignment they did, they wanted to install a camber kit and they wanted to tear apart my rear differntial for noise. However, on having my brother review the report he informed me my Chevy already has a camber built in and that the noise they were referring to was the traction control kicking in. Miraculously when I said I was going to have my brother review the report I was told they didnt need the camber kit after all before I had a chance to say anything. Then when I called and said the noise was the traction control there was miraculously no longer an issue with the rear end of my vehicle. One of the visits I got informed that I had to change out my oil pan due to stripping. I cant prove it, but I ALWAYS had my oil changed at a trusted mechanic or dealer previously. After having had them change out my oil once the next time I needed a new oil pan due to stripping. Seems to me that if my previous mechanic had stripped it, it would have been an issue the first time around instead of second. Again not sure maybe... Great customer service. They go above and beyond even running my truck to Discount Tire. However, have NOT been pleased at all with mechanical work and I suspect most of their reviews is based upon that customer service. After my experiences I no longer trust them at all and wont be going back.

I went in for a tune up and it was discovered that one of my fuel injectors was not functioning. I was told to keep an eye on it as it may be OK for little while longer. The next day my car was acting very sluggish. I returned to Christian Bros where it was decided I needed to replace all the fuel injectors for $1700. I left the car for the needed repairs. Later in the day Enrique called to tell me he had good news. One of the spark plugs was malfunctioning that was installed the day before so there was no need to replace the injectors. I WAS AMAZED and so relieved that I did not have to spend $1700 on my car These people are TOP NOTCH!!! They could of repaired the injectors and not said a word. You guys rock! You are all blessed Thank you so much

EXEMPLIFYING THE NAME! Though I cannot speak to the team, I most certainly can speak of the Assistant Manager Harrison who graciously helped me in a significant time of need. I was in the Super 1 parking lot with a battery problem I never would wish on anyone. Need less to say he came over, checked out the problem, realized the gravity of the issue, and came back quickly with the proper tools. He got me on my way and DIDNT CHARGE A DIME! Though I gladly wouldve paid whatever, given the rain and cold he endured with me to fix the problem. They have my business and respect!

I have been to Christian Bros five times for different issues over the past 2 or 3 years and they have always been helpful and kind, resolving each issue. Before, I’d always gone to my dealership, but they overnight factory parts, and I feel assured of their work. Their work is fairly priced and comparable to, or less than the dealership pricing. I will use them before my dealership now. Last time I dealt with Enrique Vaca, who was kind and priced my repair fairly. Mario came to get me in their shuttle, was polite and personable. They made a hard time better for me.They also cleaned my vehicle inside and out, and shined my tires after they repaired my power steering leak

Thank goodness Mario recognized the early and unusual water pattern on my tire was most likely due to a bigger problem then an alignment. Repairs were done quickly. They even took my wheels to discount tire for new tires and picked them up so they could keep working on front end repair. Installed my knew tires did alignment and now I feel much safer. Harrison, the technician and other front seat staff were very helpful and professional. Loved the text updates and link sent so I could pay before I picked up my suburban. Thank you guys!!!!

They had no available appointment times for several days but Harrison said I could stop by and they would work my truck in when the time allowed. Discount tire had changed my tires and in the process my stud broke off my tire. ( Not their fault I know its the persons before them fault) they offered to pay for it and sent us to CBA. Well we had to make an appointment because we didnt have time that day. I walked in at 8am and was told the day I made the appointment it would be a few hours. Gave them the paper and keys at 8am and left at 8:36pm. Staff was all very nice and helpful. The gentleman in the office even gave my daughter a hot wheels car.even though shes shy everyone that was there was nice to her too.

I called at 4pm and asked if I could bring my car in to see if I needed a brake job and Gary said sure. I did in fact needed new brakes and said come back in morning. Came back at 7:30 and they took me to work. Got a text at about 11:30 saying it was ready. They also provided an Uber ride from work!! They really helped out this single mom!!

So honest, professional and kind. When I went in for a repair because my windshield wiper wasnt working on driver side they said it could be a few dollar repair up to $400.. It turned out to just cost me $26. How easily they could have said it was an expensive repair but they were honest!! They checked out my whole vehicle while I was there too. Though I ended up not getting any work done I really appreciated the integrity of the place. A lot of other places could have tried to take advantage but the staff here gave an honest assessment and let me know what my options were. DO NOT use this business! I just spent $2,400 yesterday and picked my car up. Drove it home, parked it and it will not start. I asked them to tow it back in ($75 tow fee) to see why and they refused. Enrique then told me to not bring my car back accusing me of wanting services for free. This is the 2nd time I have taken a vehicle to them for repairs and within 24 hours the car wont start. Over the last two years I have spent close to 5k and as a business they are refusing to cover a $75 tow when my car was just in their shop less than 24 hours.

We had a broken lug stud from Discount Tire. We set an appointment with CBA for about a week out. They told me it would take a couple of hours to get it done on the appointment date.My spouse brought the car in while I was at home getting ready for work. I was waiting on my ride to arrive as well.They managed to get the whole thing fixed within 40 minutes of my spouse arriving. She brought the car back home and I was able to drive to work.10/5 going back if we ever need service again.

A time frame was given to me, but they finished in record time as to get back my car to me as soon as possible. They went back over the final bill, work accomplished, any changes and final expenses. Just went to get my state inspection and brought my three kids. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. I was greeted by the owner even before I walked in. Someone even opened the door for me. They gave my kids hot wheels cars. They offered me water, had tissues, and even had an umbrella by the door as it was raining. Every detail was executed for customer satisfaction. The man behind the counter was very friendly in a sincere way. Just good natured people. He offered to throw away my trash from the cars as I waited. I mentioned an issue my husband’s car needed and he gave me a quote on the spot. Amazing. Just a comfortable place that seems to really care about people! Never thought I’d enjoy going to a car place!

I really enjoyed the interactive diagnostic I received about my vehicle detailing my current concerns as well as outlining future concerns. We are new in town and I called Christian Brothers with a list of questions about car inspections and registration in Texas. They were extremely helpful and patiently answered my questions. I took my car there for my inspection and they were as friendly in person as they were on the phone. They even printed out maps and directions on how to get to the registration and drivers license buildings! Talk about going above and beyond with customer service! Did I mention my inspection took less than 10 minutes!?! They are a full service car center, and they just got a customer for life!

They helped my boys and I get to where we needed to be while my car was in the shop! Very attentive and very reliable! Very friendly staff and amazing mechanics! When my vehicle was diagnosed they sent me photos along with the diagnosis! I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!

The Staff at Christian Brothers is always polite and courteous. They do the job right the first time and do not oversell.

Great service. They try their best to get you in and out as quickly as possible. Appointments are best if you need your vehicle serviced. Everything is upfront. There are no surprises when you check out. They provide a shuttle service if you live or work within the city limits.

These people seem to be the most knowledgeable about auto mechanics. Not only that, you get email, text versions of reports, estimates and etc. This is the way it is supposed to work. I am a customer for life. AND I got a free bottle of water. Enrique, hope I spelled that right, you were/are a great asset to this company. If it were up to me? 1.00 per hour raise. Great experience. I just got my inspection done there which was my first experience with them and they were very attentive and friendly. And very fast and affordable!

I took my vehicle in for repair at Christian bros in Tyler. Everything went pretty well until I came to pick my vehicle up after repaired for not starting. Turns out the repair needed was a factory defect. While my vehicle was there the company broke other parts on my vehicle unrelated to the factory defect. The problem created by Christian bros breaking parts was not in the work order estimate as the prob didn’t exist until Christian bros created it. They then told me they corrected the problem only to have me go out and start the vehicle to leave and I now have a horrible clicking noise in my vehicle that wasn’t there when I dropped it off. Christian bros told me it wasn’t their fault and blamed the problem on the vehicles age. The vehicle is a 2011. They offered to repair it and charge me more but they stated the issue was age on the vehicle and my lack of trust in them that were the issues not the fact that they broke parts on vehicle while in possession of it and unrelated to the repair it was brought in for. This company so far has proven to be dishonest and NOT Christian like. Do yourself a favor and find another place to take your vehicle unless you would like to be ripped off.

This is the second major car issue CBA has fixed for me this year. Theyre always friendly and informative.

It was the last day I had to get my car inspection done. I headed in at about 3:30 PM for an inspection, and it seemed pretty busy. I was greeted upon entering and helped immediately. The attendant at the front desk let me know they could do my inspection and it would be done in about 10 to 15 minutes. Pricing was very reasonable. She offered me a cold water while I waited. My inspection was done in 10 minutes, and I was pleasantly surprised! 10/10 top notch customer service and speed. I will be recommending Christian Brothers to my friends and family! Thank you for the great experience.

Great people, thorough performance, pricey

Staff was on top of their tasks. They have a well structured dynamic in place. They kept me informed of my vehicle status as well as its needs. Their waiting area is very cozy and clean. Never ran out amenities. They have an unparalleled customer service. They even texted me pictures of my vehicle’s parts to consider preventive maintenance. I will recommend to all my colleagues, family and friends.
