Overcharged. Someone who works for them told me its usually only 170 for what I got done, they changed me 236. After explaining how im a single mom and need the cheapest fix.

I was having car trouble with a different diagnosis depending on where I took it and I took it to about 5 places. Problem was NEVER corrected until I took it to Robertson Automotive who finally diagnosed a tire problem. Went the extra mile to find the issue not just put it on a machine and tell us there was no problem. We knew there was an issue and it probably involved a tire. Thanks for finally fixing my car.

I had a flat on a car that I had bought used. Because I did not purchase it at a Ford dealership, when I have taken it in for a warranty repair, I cannot say that they have been enthusiastic about helping me. So when it was discovered that my tire could not be removed bc it had “after market” locking wheel lug nuts. I had a tow service send out two different technicians, then finally air up tire to get to tire shop near my home. That tire shop just waved me on to the dealership. I sat two hours at dealership and they referred me to Robertson. Dealership said they don’t work with “after market” products. I reluctantly drove to Robertson. I was greeted by an enthusiastic Zach. He said he was sure one way or another that he would be able to help. I couldn’t leave it then because I had to unload it. My husband and I dropped it off that evening. Zach found the key in glove box the next morning. He was then able to fix that tire and recommended that I replace the front two tires for safety reasons. He was awesome. I could not have asked for better service! I highly recommend Robertson Automotive!!!

I’ve been taking all of my vehicles to Robertson Automotive for over 10 years and I have found that, over the years, two things have remained consistent: their honesty and their quality. When they say a repair is needed, I fully trust that is indeed needed. Multiple times I’ve brought in a vehicle that lesser reputable companies would have said needed massive repairs, only to find that Robertson said was something minor. In addition, the issues they did repair have all been fixed correctly. And they stand by their work. One last thing, I’m a youth pastor at a church in Bullard. In a partnership with Napa, Kevin, the owner, reached out to see if his shop could bless a family in need. We sent a family to Robertson and they fixed all of their automotive issues, all at no cost to the family. Well done. I highly recommend Robertson Automotive and will continue to take all of my vehicles to them in the future.

I was referred from Dunn transmission (excellent local shop) to Robertson auto. I moving cross country from Texas to Florida, alone, with my dog. I ran into some car trouble and Zach who runs the service dept did a wonderful job keeping me informed at all possible times as he figured out my car issues. They were only concerned about my safety getting to Florida. They treated me like family and went above and beyond to make sure my car would get me to where I need to be. Not to mention how clean and nice their facilities were! I work in the industry and my shop doesn’t hold a candle to how well they kept up there store front! Robertson Automotive is great. Timely, personable and true value. Value does not mean cheap, value means you get a lot for what you pay. I have no problem recommending and using Robertson for my auto service.

Alright this isnt meant to offend the shop but just to describe my experience. I took my old beater which is a 06 fusion in for some repairs due to a water leak. At first I was quoted a big quote due to the severity of the issue. Probably worth twice what the car was worth. Anyways I called my old mechanic and he mentioned there was a work around to the fix which would save me a whole lot or money but I would lose my heater. The guys at Robertson gladly did the adjustment and I paid a fraction of the cost. However after I picked up the car I probably drove it about a half hour and noticed the leak was exponentially worse. I took it back and they found another source of leak. This was a leak in the water reservoir which isnt the worst but still no good since I had just left the shop. It was a little pricier than I wouldve hoped after talking with my old mechanic (who now lives 10 hours away). He mentioned it was only a couple bolts to remove and said it shouldnt be as expensive. So I got the quote back for the repair and it wasnt what I hoped but as long it solved the problem I was fine with it. Lastly, I got the car back one final time and about an half hour of use the water pump gavee out. I called my mechanic and he said if they had ran the car for at least an hour then it would have shown the damage to the water pump. So I decided to go somewhere else for my final repairs and my car has been doing good since. This isnt a knock to any employees or management there because they were extremely courteous and kept me up to date. My only issue really is that all the problems kept happening back to back and I wish the car was more thoroughly checked instead of just handing me the keys after one repair.

This place is great. I’ve done all of my own mechanic work on my vehicles my entire life up until now, and I took my vehicle here because I just don’t have the time to work on it myself. So I was very leery about trusting someone else to work on my stuff. These guys did great, they went above and beyond. I took my vehicle in for a radiator change out, belts and hoses. But for the longest time the front plastic bumper had been loose due to the fact that there was a broken plastic tab on the back that held the component to the frame. The Chevrolet dealership just told me to buy a new bumper. But when I went and picked my vehicle up the guys had found a way to fix it, even though I didn’t ask them to and that wasn’t the reason I brought my vehicle in. They didn’t have to do that and that’s going above and beyond in my opinion. These guys will do all of my mechanic work from now on.

Very nice and reasonable

We were traveling from the Houston area to Tyler on Friday to go camping for the weekend. Shortly before getting to Tyler, the check engine light came on in our new Ford chassis motorhome. We wanted to have the code read to determine if we needed service ASAP or if we could make it back to Houston on Sunday to have it serviced at our local Ford dealer the following week. We stopped at Tyler Ford and they were unable (unwilling?) to help us by reading the code. They referred us to Robertson Automotive, so we decided to give them a try. We were very pleased that they were willing to help us with a quick code reading, despite the fact that they were likely not going to make a dime off of servicing our RV. I highly recommend you give them a try if you need service in Tyler. They were helpful and honest with us...and you cant ask for much more than that!

When it comes to my own vehicles, I always take em to Robertson. Theyre a little on the expensive side, but theyre honest, fair, and they do good work. I have a few years under my belt as an automotive technician prior to a low back injury, and I can honestly say that Robertson is the only shop in Tyler that I take my vehicles to, and the only one that I would recommend to my friends and family.

Took my Diesel truck here, most places in town make you set an appointment weeks in advance, but they got me right in and had my vehicle in the shop the same day. Prices are very fair, they worked with my extended warranty to get me the most out of it. I will come back here.

Great place. They always take care of our vehicles fast and they do it right the first time. They also take time to explain what they did and if any other repairs may be needed. they are the only shop that we take our vehicles to.

I have nothing but good things to say about Robertson Automotive. They run a quality operation, the service counter is very helpful and the mechanics do quality work. I have taken my vehicles there for years, and I have never had a problem.

I went by there the other day to get my car checked out; we ran a diagnostic test and everything and the next day everything in my car starting shutting down on my way home, even though Sergio said that there was nothing wrong with my car! This morning I called back to try to explain that there was most definitely something wrong with my car, and they acted as if they didnt care one bit.

RUN!.! This place charged me $6,000 to replace my turbo on my 2014 Ram 2500.. for that price I could have gotten a performance turbo plus.. David will lose to you then talk to you like your his 5 year red head step son who just learned english a month ago.. Basically he will try to talk to you like your slow. Do not trust this place!!!! Robertson Automotive completed a job on my classic Corvette, and not only did they do a wonderful job on the engine, but they also took care of her exterior. She went in looking beautiful, and she came out looking and running beautifully.

A year ago I brought my Isuzu to this shop because it was running rough and was the closest place possible. They charged me $106 just to look at it and it was not running by the time they were done with it. The quoted me $1000 for some spark plugs, cam sensor, valve cover gasket and breather hose. They vehicle is worth 500 dollars. I had to tow it back to my house with no help from them. Shame on me for going to them a second time and getting my license plate light fixed for an inspection. They charged me 106 to Sauter some wires. They have a 106 flat ripoff rate. Stay away from this place
