Recommend his business 100%!!!Had an oil leak that caused me to lose all my oil within the day. Ordered oil pan(different company) and Shawn said they could replace it(Thursday). Called Friday morning to see how soon they could get me. I was told Saturday morning but will be done day off. I was perfectly happy with that. Took my car up there Friday, Shawn checked me in &a couple hrs later I was getting a call that I had wrong oil pan. Needless to say Shawn was able to order &Get the right one same day &Return my car on that Friday!!! Amazing customer service!! And Bc of the emergent of my vehicle he was able to do it as soon as I needed it and at a VERY VERY REASONABLE price!! Loved it and will definitely be returning even tho I will be moving out of town!

They were very professional and made me feel comfortable about leaving my car with them. I dropped my car off in the afternoon and was able to get it back the next morning, all at a fair price. Im very appreciative of their work and satisfied with the service. Highly recommend.

WHEWWW! So my truck (Spirit) decided it was time for her rear brakes to start grinding after I had just spent a ton of money moving to Tyler TX. And being new to the area typically means going to either a dealership or a well known auto repair chain. However, my past reminds me that I have no reason to trust either. In fact, i decided i had a better chance of just googling the local auto repair shops near me and trusting the reviews. We all know thats basically like playing russian roulette though, but so far it looks like i can walk away from this risky method with a sigh of relief! (hence the WHEWWW!)I cant speak to being overcharged or not, but i can say I paid about what I expected to pay for Spirits brakes. You see, what had happened was...I didnt just get brake work done on her. She had been in need of a new battery for a couple of months as well. However, the kind of battery Spirit needs is expensive enough for me to put it off as long as possible. And then there was Spirits under car shield, which came loose at some point during the move to Tyler, leaving it nearly dragging on the road. So in my mind, instead of feeling like i was overcharged i feel like I paid for Spirits new brakes, and got a high dollar battery and her under shield pinned back up as BONUS PRIZES for winning this round of honest auto repair mechanic russian roulette! Once you meet Shawn though you learn quickly that hes too busy fixing our vehicles as quickly as possible to spend time trying to play games with you or swindle you. So again i say, WHEWWW!!! Its nice to finally win a round of honest auto repair mechanic russian roulette! Thank you (Shawn) for taking good care of Spirit and getting her back to me so quickly!

An amazing, honest, repair shop. We just love going here. The owner is so knowledgeable and will do everything in his power to insure your vehicle is repaired correctly. They get the work done quickly and keep you updated on their progress. If it turns out to be something they cant repair, they make sure you know where to go to get the work done right. Dependably, integrity and quality workmanship are words I would use to describe S&J Automotive.

BROUGHT MY FRIEND HERE A WHILE BACK TO GET HER WHEEL BARRING REPLACED, IT WAS DONE QUICK AND FAST, MY BOYFRIEND WAS HAVING ISSUES WITH HIS 2002 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR EVERY ISSUE WAS FIXED PROPERLY, AND FAST!!!! THE GUY HAS A GREAT PERSONALITY AND WE DID NOT FEEL LIKE WE WERE A BURDEN...THIS PLACE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED LEAVE THE SHADE TREE MECHANICS UNDER THE TREES AND COME HERE LOL

Love Shawn he really seems to know what he is doing. Asked him about my daughters Jeep that had been broken he gave me a fair price to fix it and so I towed it there and a few hours later called me and told me it was ready. I went to pick it up and he said it was taken apart so he put everything back together NO CHARGE and fixed the problem! It drives great!So when I picked up the Jeep I left my parents van he called me very quickly and said I can fix this I know what’s wrong. He gave me a reasonable price so I said go ahead and fix it and he called me the next day and said well I had to put a new belt on that was $30 but it’s driveabke he uses great judgement and did an amazing job. He also said it’s running but needs a piece he ordered from the FORD house and so we are waiting for that piece and and the van needs a tune up I am able to drive it and can’t wait for the tuneup so it drives amazingly. They do a great job here .

I was in Tyler 2 weeks ago on business when my company car started to act up. It was a Saturday, and I knew it would be hard to get someone to look at my car. I called S & J Automotive because they were nearby and was told to bring the car by. When I arrived Shawn immediately came out to meet me and got to work looking at my car. He did a thorough check of my car, and luckily did not find any major issues. Shawn was very professional, knowledgeable, and honest. If I ever need auto help in the Tyler area again, I will definitely use S & J.

My F150 was missing real bad. I had previously used the local dealer for repairs. I was prepared to pay for plugs, coils, and anything else that might be needed.When I took my truck to S&J, Shawn gave me an estimate for replacing the plugs and also replacing the coil‘s if needed. He only needed to replace the plugs. He did not try to sell me any parts that were not needed.I am very satisfied with his work.
