Extremely NOT customer oriented. This is a designated Amazon drop off for returns. If they want to make it so difficult to drop off and return an Amazon package, why do it? New owners bought the place now service the customers. They give you the 3rd degree in returning a package which clearly states how to return it (either you pack it up or you don’t need a label or box) but these people do not adhere to this so they make it hard for you to return. Perhaps that’s there MO- do not come to UPS to return an Amazon package.I have been with Amazon for years and have returned items and I know the process. Now all of sudden why did ups change the process up or is it this new owner who makes his own rules? They talk in circles when you ask questions since they make up their own rules.I have other things I was going to use UPS but no longer. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. So not only will this place lose Amazon returns but also other business that comes in tow.Pathetic.
Slow service, too slow not efficient. Business needs to improve employees dont care and like to ignore inside customers
I visited this store 4 times in the last few weeks and must admit, this is the best service Ive received in contrast to the other UPS stores. It appears this store has a new ownership management and they are making a sincere effort to keep the level of customer service as their top priority. With COVID and other constraints, the staff here seems to go out of their way to meet customer expectation. High marks to the team.
Dont bring next-day packages here. I had an eBay customer pay for next-day air. Everything was ready to and perfectly packed; Ive been doing this on eBay and in my own business for decades. I brought the package to this location and after waiting in line a bit, dropped it off at 10:55 am. This was on December 7, so it was decently busy, no worries. I figured everything was fine. It was not. The next day, I checked to see if the package had been delivered. Nope. In fact, the next UPS scan after my drop-off was at 10:30 that night in Hayward, well past any outgoing service for the day. Next-day turned into 2-day. What followed was a long series of run-around from UPS to this day. They wont refund anything because the package was delivered. They dont care how long it took, even when I paid over $80 for a specific service that they simply did not do. I ended up having to refund my customer the difference between next-day and 2-day, $43. So ultimately, trusting this location for next-day cost me $43 and I have zero recourse except sharing my experience here. Dont make the same mistake. Now Im saddened to see that this location changed hands on December 1, and Im wondering if this is the result. Theyve usually been very nice and competent in the past. I hope they can turn this around.Edit after owner replied:1. It wasnt an inconvenience. It was money. You cost me money.2. The package didnt leave your location until 10:30 at night. That was the problem. I watched the clerk put that particular box on a special pile in the backroom, where it was apparently forgotten, as my other Ground package went out that day with no issues.3. Once the package did get to UPS a day late, it actually was delivered the next day, making your guarantee assertion irrelevant.You have a funny little collection of excuses you are dropping on all of these low-star reviews. Maybe you think youre going to school customers into toeing the line? Thats not really the best attitude going forward.
The Indian lady in the store is very rude and ineffecient! The service is incredibly slow and they yell at customers for asking any questions.

You stay in line to drop off amazon retrun package, tape slightly off and asks if she would help...Yes, but we charge $1 to tape half-inch of it....REMIND ME NOT TO COME BACK TO THIS PLACE...I come here a lot, but customer service/ethic is completely becoming very disappointing...
The new owner wants to charge $1.50 for some extra tape for a return package that clearly states the store will be responsible for packaging...The instructions clearly say:Show the return code below on your mobile device to an associate at THE UPS STORE, who will scan the QR code, pack, and ship your return for FREE.What a shame trying to rip people off, steer clear!
Used to be good and efficient. Just do not understand why they want to do 1 to 1 new employee training during prime time. Waited 30 min just to pay at counter. 4 employees but only 2 counters open.

Slow service, line was out the door. Lady at the front was extremely rude and had terrible attitude. Overall, customer service is lacking and I don’t really think the owner cares based on his responses here and on Yelp

I came to drop off a return package to Amazon. I already had the slip and everything printed out. The woman took care of me quickly. She taped up my package and gave me the receipt. It was easy and simple. Will come back again if I ever need to.
Soooo much better than the ups store at Newark. This one has service with a smile and gave me a shipping receipt without me even asking for one. The Newark store clerk gave me an ugly look when I asked for one last month. How hard is it to print a receipt? Will always come here in the future.
Service is fast and efficient . So much better than the one on Decoto.
Spent a lot of time without accomplishing antything. After waiting for 15 minutes to notorize a document the two lady notaries refused to notorize my signature on a foreign language document.
